Sunflower Card

by Heejung Hunsberger on Jul 15 2022
Hello! Crafty Friends,Today, I want to share a card featuring one of the July new release stamps called "A Sunflower" stamp set.I was inspired by one of my favorite artists, Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflower painting.   I used the She Said Yes Cover Plate Die for the gold frame. I used the Moving Air Stencil with Mint Hydrangea Paper Glaze on the background.   I stamped two sunflowers on white card stock and colored them with Copic markers, and attached them with foam stickers.   For the sentiments, I used the Fancy Autumn Sentiments Stamp set, finished with the gold heat embossing. I finished with gold sequin mix (Fall Flowers Sequin mix) for the final touch.   Thank you for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!       Supplies

Done Adulting for The Day Shaker Card by Theary Chea

by Theary Chea on Jul 11 2022
Hello PFS family!I am happy to be back on the blog, sharing another card with you all today. I have been dreaming about a tropical getaway, and that very feeling inspired this card. I inked and blended a few shades of hybrid inks onto white cardstock using my wonderful PFS Life Changing Blender Brushes. If you haven't tried using these brushes yet, you should pick up a few because they're so soft and make blending effortless. After blending the background, I taped down the Tropical Leaves Stencil and spread a thin layer of Paper Glaze Luxe in Arctic Fox and Spanish Moss using my Mixed Media Spatulas. And, guys! These colors are so beautiful in person; the camera doesn't capture the incredible shine. If you're not aware, the finish of the Paper Glaze Luxe is actually quite different from the other Paper Glaze line. The Luxe line is fortify with a mixture of mica and glitter resulting in an luscious shine and shimmer. It's absolutely beautiful in person.  Then using a basic oval die from my stash, I die-cut the center of the stencil out using my die-cutting machine to create a shaker window. Before I adhered the acetate sheet to the back of the stenciled panel, I heat-embossed one of the sentiments in black embossing powder onto the acetate sheet. After that, I adhered it to the stenciled panel and applied foam tape on the back to create a shaker well. I used Sandy Toes Sequins Mix to add to the shaker well for the shaker elements. I felt that the color palette of this particular mix was spot on with the whole tropical beach vibe theme. From there, I placed that onto a piece of cardstock that I inked blended with an area of light beige ink only to the area seen through the shaker window. I stamped out the image from the Done Adulting For The Day set in our alcohol-friendly Hybrid Black Ink and colored it in with alcohol-markers. When starting out with my coloring journey, I didn't realized how important it was to have the correct type of ink pads and paper for different types of project. Good thing is, our Hybrid Black Ink works well with a lot of different types of medium. My favorite paper to use with alcohol-markers is a smooth-thick cardstock. After coloring in the image, I then used the coordinating dies to cut it out and adhered it to the front of the card front with foam squares.  Finally, I adhered the entire piece to a side folding card base. So, that's it! I love the dimension of the Paper Glaze Luxe. It's such a great texture on a card front to create just enough drama. I hope you enjoy this tutorial, and I look forward to chatting with you all soon. Have a wonderfully blessed day!Theary CheaPicket Fence Studios Products Used:Done Adulting For The Day Sandy Toes Sequin Mix Tropical Leaves Stencil Paper Glaze Luxe Spanish Moss Paper Glaze Luxe Arctic Fox Life Changing  Blender Brushes  Hybrid Black Ink Pad

Slimline unicorn card by Laura

by Laura Nistal on Jul 06 2022
Hello everyone!! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this slimline card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Princessland Dear" stamps that I stamped with the "Black Hybrid Ink Pad" and then painted with alcohol markers. Then I used the "Slimline Curvy Rainbow die" which I cut out of various colored card stock. Next I prepared the background: for this I used the "Slimline Die Cutting System Scallop Frames" that I cut in white cardboard and foam to make a shaker card. Inside I put the "Sequins Unicorn Sparkles" that I think combine perfectly with this card. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store.  A huge kiss and until next time! Laura

Happy 4th of July

by Michelle Bala on Jul 03 2022
Hello there! Michelle here, wishing all our fellow American's a very Happy 4th of July! There is still time to shop today's sale and possibly grab the items I used for this card!!  I used 3 shades of cardstock, red, white and blue. I die cut the Slim Line Curvy Rainbow Die using the 3 cardstocks. For the blue cardstock, I die cut the slim line scalloped rectangle, Slim Line Scallop Frames, first then I die cut the rainbow inside. I filled the clouds with Stars and Stripes Sequin Mix Plus.  I added Happy 4th using the alphabet dies from 5x7 Double Stitched Rectangle Dies. I die cut them using black cardstock and added some shimmer with stickles glitter glue. I assembled the die cut inlay with Extra Wide Foam. Thanks for stopping by! Michelle

Hi all friends, I am happy to be here on the blog with a new inspiration. In the June release came out this fantastic stamp..... A Hummingbird's Song  and as soon as I saw it I had the idea how to make my own card. I created the background by mixing 6 different shades of ink, then stamped with black embossing powder. I really like the silhouette effect and I think this stamp is perfect for this technique. To embellish, I used Sequin Mix Plus Day of RaimbowHave a great week!!! Claudia

Hello!   I had a wonderful trip to Korea last few weeks. I almost forgot to share this colorful Hummingbird's Song slimline card to you.   I stamped the hummingbirds images with 6 different colors. ( Stamp set- A Hummingbird's Song- New release of June)   I inked a red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple color on the hummingbird stamp, after blending the color and color boundaries, stamp on the white card stock and die cut the image.  (I used Inkon3 mini cube inks)   Place the birds of each color underneath, place the birds blended in different colors on top of them, and paste them on the cards.   I decorated with sequins around the birds.   Thank you for stopping by! and Happy Stamping!        Supplies

My Pet Unicorn Dear

by Theary Chea on Jun 23 2022
Hello there friends! I am so excited to be back on the blog again today. I am sharing a card I created using some great products from the most recent release. If you guys haven’t checked it out yet, you can do so here.  My three-year-old daughter inspired this card. She loves anything and everything, rainbows, and unicorns. Her absolute favorite color right now is pink! I used the Slim Line Curvy Rainbow Die and die-cut it out of white card stock and silver glitter card stock. I then used my alcohol markers to color the rainbow stripes and inlaid each piece into the cut-out glitter paper. I also die-cut extra clouds from the die to use on my card front scene. I used the Moving Air Stencil  for the background scene and blended a soft gray ink using my Life Changing Blender Brushes.  The stamped image of the princess and her unicorn is from My Pet Unicorn Dear, and this set is absolutely adorable! I had so much fun coloring the image with my alcohol markers. Of course, I decided to go with a rainbow scheme, but you can pretty much use any color palette of your choice. The sentiment is perfect for this scene, and it’s from Princessland Dear. I stamped that down on the card front using our Black Hybrid Ink pad. I highly recommend this ink pad because it works well with different types of coloring mediums. So great with alcohol-based markers, watercolors, and color pencils. For some extra interest,  I also added a few highlights and details using a white gel pen. I adhered everything down using a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares onto a pink side folding card base. I love how much dimension this card has. It makes me so happy just looking at it. And, I hope that it made you smile as well.    Until next time, Theary Chea

Birthday card featuring When Birthday Pigs Fly stamp

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Jun 17 2022
Happy Friday! Eugy here! I’m sharing this super fun and simple card I made with the When Birthday Pigs Fly stamp set from new release! After I stamped and colored my main image, I diecutted a window in card panel using die from Slim Line Die Cutting System. Than I added some color to card base using Life Changing Blender Brushes and dye inks. So everything was ready to create a shaker and I filled it with new Oink Oink sequin mix. And at the end I stamped the sentiment and added 3d foam to little pig die-cut. I hope you enjoy this card and if you need more inspiration, there is 7in7 event on PFT Facebook community page. Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

Let's Escape

by Lisa Tilson on Jun 15 2022
Hello there, Lisa here with you today to share a card using one of my favourite sets from the June release. The stamp set is called Done Adulting For The Day - isn't that just such a fun title? It is an image of a girl on a beach, sipping a cocktail and I thought it would pair really well with a previously released older set called You Or Wifi. Some of you may well know and love that set like I do! I began by stamping the girl onto some Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock using Black Hybrid Ink. I created a mask for her from Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper and then I stamped the You Or Wifi scene in the background. The scene was just simply coloured with Copics and I have listed the numbers below for your reference. Such a tranquil scene to colour and I mentally tried to transport myself there whilst in the process! The sentiment is from Done Adulting For The Day but lots of the sentiments from You Or Wifi would also really work well. It was stamped with Black Hybrid Ink and the panel then trimmed down to mat onto a card base that I created from Hero Arts Kiwi cardstock.   I decided against any kind of embellishment at all as this card was really just about the scene and I didn't feel it needed anything else. I hope that you manage to carve out a little crafting time for yourselves today. Have a great day! Copics used: Skin (E55, E53, E51), Leaves (YG17, YG03, YG01), Tree Trunk (E57), Dock (E57, E55, E53), Shoes (BG32, BG11), Beach Hut (G07, BG34, BG32, BG11, BG10), Sand (E51, E50, CB), Hat (BG09, BG07, BG05, BG02, BG01, BG000), Sky/Sea (BG01)
