New Release Fun Continues

by Lisa Henke on Jul 15 2020
The new release is amazing. I hope you checked out all the new products and what the DT created with all the goodness yesterday. You can find all the NEW RELEASE HERE! It was full of fall and Christmas stamps but I wanted to ink up this new Shading Flower Stencil. It's a beautiful image and makes beautiful cards. I have two cards, one with bright cheerful colors and another one monochromatic .  The first one I created with colors from this week's Color Throwdown Challenge. I inked up the flower with Salty Ocean, Dried Marigold, and Mowed Lawn Distress inks. I used post-it notes to cover up areas I didn't want to transfer other colors to. The Life Changing Blender Brushes make the ink blending easy and quick. Once the ink was dry, I added a sentiment from More Fancy Sentiments with Intense Black Ink.     I added some gold splatter with Golden Rose Paper Glaze. I added a bit of water to thin it out and then flicked it on to my card base with a paint brush. I finished it off with a little more shimmer thanks to Spiced Cider Sequin Mix.  I didn't want to put this Shading Flower Stencil away, just yet. I wanted to create another card, this time in a monochromatic color scheme. I used Speckled Egg and lightly added in touched of Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. I kept th layout the same but wanted to show how easy you can switch up a card with color.   I used a different sentiment from More Fancy Sentiments and used sequins from Martini Mix Sequins.  Thanks for stopping by today. Grab a Life Changing Blender Brush and a Stencil and have some fun.

Fruitylicious Fun

by Lisa Henke on Jun 24 2020
Hey, hey PFS fans. Thanks for stopping by today, it's Lisa Henke here with some fun citrus cards for you today. I had a great afternoon creating with the Fruitylicious stamp set from our latest release. It's one of our background stamps that is created for continuous stamping. I used it in two different ways today.  This one I combined with the 3.5 inch Blending Stencil. I used a 4x4 square card stock panel and taped it down in my Misti and then lined up the Fruitylicious stamp to cover the center of the circle opening. SO the blending stencil is acting like a mask and allowing the stamp to be added in a circle pattern. I inked the stamp up with two different colors of ink and blended those towards the middle of the stamp. I then added one of the More Fancy Sentiments along the bottom in Intense Black ink. I tucked in some of the awesome new sequins fro the Margarita Mix.  For my second card I used the stamp Fruitylicious stamp but this time I embossed it with white embossing powder and wanted to do some water coloring with the paper glazes. I used three different colors in the Paper Glazes: Succulent Green, Marigold Orange, and Daffodil Yellow. You guys! It was so easy and turned out so pretty. I love the shimmer the Paper Glazes give. Check it. I added a strip of paper to added the simple, yet elegant sentiment from More Fancy Sentiments.  I love when you can use a stamp in many different ways. This is just a few ideas with the background stamps. I think the fruit is great for summertime. It makes me smile. Have a great day!

A Burger and a Shake

This stamp set is way cool. It's called Dad's Day, but I can think of so many reasons to use it. Today I'm sticking with the Father's Day theme that the set was created for. I was excited to stamp it on kraft card stock and add some copic coloring. It had been awhile since I colored on the kraft and I am always amazed at how cool it looks.  I used the Intense Black ink to stamp the sentiment along the side of the burger and finished off with a strip of yellow paper.    While I had the Dad's Day stamp out, I couldn't help myself and I made another card with the awesome burger stamp. I added a shaker element because, well, SEQUINS!!!   This one I added color with some ink smooshing. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the burger in Black ink. No extra coloring needed. I picked out the Margarita Mix of sequins, I loved the greens and yellow. I framed up the shaker element and added a customized sentiment by heat embossing in white and snipping out the words. Here is a closer look at the sequin and sentiment details.     Thanks for stopping by today. I wish you a fabulous week!
