Scroll Stencil with Mindy Eggen

by Mindy Eggen on Feb 05 2020
Welcome everyone! Mindy Eggen here with you today and if you follow me you know I love my stencils and Glitz Glitter Gel. Today's card features them both! This is really a quick card to put together. I'm going to be using the new Scroll Stencil from Picket Fence Studios. This is such a great design! I sprayed the back of the stencil with Pixie Spray and temporarily adhered to Black cardstock. I'm applying Wild Lilac, Turquoise Sea and Grass Green Glitz Glitter Gel over my stencil. How gorgeous are these colors together?! After I remove the stencil, I'll rinse it off immediately with soap and warm water. Then set my panel off on the side to dry. Depending on how thick you applied the Glitz, I would say give this a good hour at least. After it was completely dry, I trimmed the panel down to 4" x 5 1/4" and attached to a Black A2 size card front. I really didn't want to add much more to the card so I used this small sentiment from the Peach & Piper Checking the Post stamp set. I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration! Be Creative!

Welcome back everyone! It's Mindy Eggen here with you today! I love when a stamp set comes along that has images of products I play with. For instance, the I Work for Watercolor stamp set from Picket Fence Studios. This has a ton of crafting images and sentiments on it. While I do not consider myself that good at watercoloring, I am certainly fascinated by it and continue to experiment with it. I stamped the image of the watercolor set in Black ink and colored with copic markers. Then used the coordinating die to cut it out with my Spellbinders Platinum 6 Machine. Keeping this card pretty clean and simple, I stamped a sentiment onto the front a white A2 size card base with Black ink using my Misti tool. Then attached my watercolor set with a dot runner. I really love having the larger sentiment and a small one underneath. The large sentiment also has an artistic look to it which matches perfectly with the theme of this stamp set. I hope this has inspired you! While I love getting inky and creating crazy backgrounds, you can never go wrong with clean and simple. SUPPLIES Below you will find links to the products used. Distress Oxide Spray Background with Mindy Eggen

by Mindy Eggen on Dec 25 2019
Welcome back everyone and Merry Christmas! Mindy Eggen here with you today and I'm sharing a card that has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas but is colorful and fun! I'm working with products from the Picket Fence Studios December release. I'm starting with Charles the Chameleon. I stamp the image in Versafine ink onto Bristol Smooth card stock using my Misti tool. Then I sprinkle on clear embossing powder and heat emboss. Next, I color my image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I am using the colors No. 020 Red, No. 070 Orange, No. 050 Yellow, No. 004 Green, No. 031 Cobalt Blue, and No. 082 Purple. Then I use the coordinating die to cut out the image. For my background, I sprayed my Points of Interest stencil with Pixie Spray. Then I attached the stencil to a piece of Meadow card stock and spritzed with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Spray. I removed the stencil and once dry, I trimmed the panel down to 3" x 4" and attached to a piece of white card stock. I added a strip of brown card stock and added my panel to an A2 notecard made from Sea Salt card stock. I finished off the card by adding a sentiment I heat embossed in Gold onto Pitch Black card stock. The sentiment and Chameleon are added to the card front with foam squares. Here's a look at the stamp set and stencil that I used. All supplies will be listed below. Points of Interest Stencil SUPPLIES Below you will find links to the products used.
