Happy Friday, fellow crafters and card makers!! Brenda back with you today!! I fell head-over-heels for the sweet Big Piggie Hugs Stamp Set from the January release!! I adore these sweet pigs with their veggies!! I started like I do with most of my cards, by stamping the Big Piggie Hugs images and sentiment onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink and coloring them with Copic markers. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. (Get the stamp & die in a bundle and save 10%!) For the background, I die-cut one of the panels in the Spring Gardening Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Front Pack with the third largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Cover Plate Dies Set. The white panel was cut with the second largest die in the same set and the largest die was used to cut the orange panel. They were stacked and adhered together, then added to a white cardbase using liquid glue. These Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts make creating a scene sooooo easy and I love the thin matted layers you get with the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Coverplate Dies Set!! The small veggies and the basket were adhered to the background with liquid glue and the piggie and sentiment were popped up with foam tape. I added a little shine to the eyes and nose of the pig with a black gel pen and this card was finished. That's it!! This card came together in a snap, but it looks like I put a lot of time into it!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a fabulous weekend and I'll see you next week with the NEW February release!! It's soooooo good!! Brenda

Happy Friday, fellow card makers!! I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!! Brenda here with a sweet Easter card featuring the adorable Peach & Piper: Easter Adventures Stamps & Coordinating Dies, along with a few other goodies from the January release!! I began by stamping the images from the Peach & Piper: Easter Adventures Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. (Save 10% when you purchase the stamps & dies together here.) I used a black gel pen to darken the eyes and noses of the critters. Next, I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto a panel of white cardstock using Life Changing Blender Brushes. I blended Mowed Lawn Distress Ink onto the bottom of the panel using the grass stencil in the Scene Building A2 Stencil Set: Layers of Adventure. The clouds, from the same stencil set, were added to the sky using Incandescent Paper Glaze. The panel was die-cut with the third largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangles and Cover Plate Die Set. It was adhered with liquid glue to a pink panel of cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the same die set. The darling Peach & Piper die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue. For the sentiment, I spread a thin layer of the lightest shade of pink glaze in the Pink Ombre Haze Paper Glaze Sampler onto a panel of white cardstock. Once it was dry, I die-cut it, along with two more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, using the Happy Easter Word Die. The layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue, then added to the bottom of the panel. Bunny shaped embellishments from the Bunny Bop Sequin Mix Plus Mix and small iridescent sequins from the Blissful Beauties Sequin Mix Plus Mix were the perfect finishing touch. These bunnies and chicks are having so much fun at the Easter egg hunt!! That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a terrific weekend!! Brenda

Dog Kisses Fix Everything

by Andrea Shell on Dec 30 2024
Hi, friends! It's Andrea here with my last blog post of 2024. Didn't this year fly by?!! Have you guessed by now how much I adore the new Happy Paws stamp by Picket Fence Studios' newest illustrator? The images pair perfectly with the sentiments from the new Dogs/Cats Always Know Good People set, which were the inspiration for this card. I stamped those sweet pups from Happy Paws with black ink and colored them with Copics. I fussy-cut them (There are matching dies, but I didn't have them at the time I made this card.) and added some details with a white gel pen. To create the kissing booth, I diecut white cardstock with the Booth Dies. I colored the pieces with Copics and stamped "kissing booth" with the Booth Labels stamp set before assembling everything with liquid adhesive. To fill out my scene, I also diecut two grass pieces with the Grass Tufts Dies and colored them with Copics. For my background I blended blue and green inks onto a panel of white cardstock with the Life Changing Blender Brushes. I diecut the panel with the Beyond Basics: A2 Stamp Cover Plate with Postmark Dies and trimmed a panel of blue cardstock to size. I adhered the blue panel to a white card and attached the ink-blended panel with foam tape. After attaching the booth to my card with foam, I tucked in the grass tufts and popped up the pups with thin 3D foam squares. I stamped the sentiment from Dogs/Cats Always Know Good People in black ink and diecut it with the 1.5" Connected Circles Shaker Dies. I cut coral cardstock with the circle die from the Beyond Basics: A2 Stamp Cover Plate with Postmark Dies and adhered the sentiment on top with thin 3D foam squares. I popped up the stacked circle with foam, and my card was done. Thanks for stopping by! *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

I started by stamping the cat in the Madame Kitty Stamp and the sentiment from the Dogs/Cats Always Know Good People Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored it and added shading with Copic markers. The panel was die-cut with the third largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Vintage Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set. I also die-cut a panel of black cardstock with the second largest die in the same set. The coral panel was die-cut with the largest rectangle die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Stamp Cover Plate with Postmark Die Set. All the panels were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue. The "cat" heart is also from the Dogs/Cats Always Know Good People Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with coral ink, fussy cut, then popped up with foam tape. Cream Puff Paper Glaze Glass from the Felines Sampler was applied through the bones layer and Chocolate Frosting Paper Glaze Luxe from the Canines Sampler was used with the paw print stencil. Once dry, the panel was die-cut with the third largest deckle edge die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Vintage Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set. A panel of burnt orange cardstock was die-cut with the largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set. The critters in the Peach and Piper: Bad Weather Friends Stamp Set are just darling!! I created a thank you card that's perfect to send to that special person who is always there to love and support you!! I started by stamping the sentiment and the adorable image from the Peach and Piper: Bad Weather Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, darkened the eyes with a black gel pen, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die, along with the sentiment. For the background, I die-cut the heart cover plate die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set from white cardstock. A panel of pink cardstock was die-cut with the smallest rectangle die in the same die set. The second largest die in the same set was cut from aqua cardstock. The panels were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue. A wide strip of vellum was wrapped around the top and bottom of the panel and adhered to the back with liquid glue. Woodland Friend

by Andrea Shell on Oct 24 2024
Hi, there! It's Andrea here to share a woodland, fall-inspired card featuring products from Picket Fence Studios. The inspiration for this card came from the fun Vintage Heart stamp from the October release. I paired it with the new Friend Stacked Word Dies and one of the cute foxes from the Layered Fauna: Larger Playful Fox Dies. My idea was to have the fox in place of the "i" in friend; I think it's fun when animals or objects are used to represent a letter. I began by stamping the Vintage Heart stamp with beige ink onto white cardstock. To add the brown ink to the bark, I applied darker ink to the stamp with a Neutral Pint-sized Paper Pouncer before stamping. I diecut the heart with the coordinating dies. For my background, I blended white cardstock with green ink and added splatters of Opaque Gold Paper Splatter. Once the drops were dry, I trimmed down the panel and adhered it to a white cardbase. I popped up the heart with foam squares. I diecut the Friend Stacked Word Dies three times from white cardstock and once from brown. After trimming the "i" from the diecuts, I stacked the brown layer on top of two white layers and offset the third white diecut to create a highlight. I adhered the layered diecut to my card and attached the fox (leftover from a previous project and colored with Copics) from the Layered Fauna: Larger Playful Fox Dies with foam. I diecut some leaves from metallic cardstock with the Layered Flora: Fall Foliage Dies and glued them to the heart, along with a few gold pearls. The sub-sentiment is from the Vintage Heart stamp and was attached with two layers of foam. Thanks for stopping by! *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

Friend - A Peony of Contrast

by Brenda Noelke on Oct 22 2024
Hello, friends and happy Tuesday!! Brenda here with a friendship card featuring the stunning A Peony of Contrast Stamp Set!! This is definitely one of my faves from the October release!! I began by stamping the A Peony of Contrast Stamp Set onto white cardstock with pale tan ink for some no-line coloring. I colored it with Copic markers and colored pencils, then fussy cut it out. For the background, I spread Huckleberry Blue Paper Glaze onto a panel of navy cardstock through the Frame of Mind 6x8 Stencil with a palette knife. (I turned the stencil at an angle slightly for a little more interest.) Once it was totally dry, it was die-cut with the largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set. The peony was adhered with liquid glue. I also spread the Huckleberry Blue Paper Glaze onto a small piece of navy cardstock. Once that was dry, "friend" was die-cut from it using the Cheers My Friend Word Die Set, along with three more layers from navy cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then added to the front of the card. I decided to forgo any sequins or gems and let the beautiful bloom shine. I can't wait to color this stamp set with all the mediums!! Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful week!! Brenda

Grateful for You

by Andrea Shell on Oct 16 2024
Hi there! It's Andrea back to share a card featuring several products from Picket Fence Studios' October release. You might recognize that cute girl from an earlier release: She's from the Freckle Friends: Penelope Pumpkin stamp set. I colored her with Copics, cut her out with the coordinating dies, and added white highlights with a gel pen. The marbled background was created with the new A2 Marble Notebook Cover stamp. I stamped it in pink onto white cardstock and diecut it with the new Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangles & Cover Plate Dies. I attached the background to a white card with double-sided adhesive. Using the new A2 Ripped Notebook Cover Plate Die, I diecut both white and peach cardstocks. Onto the white diecut, I stamped the small floral spray from the Autumn Bountiful Beauty set twice in a soft orange ink and a sentiment from the same set in black. I trimmed off the top portion of the peach diecut, leaving just the ripped edge. I adhered the white piece with foam to my card and tucked under the peach strip. I affixed my colored image with foam and added some gems from the new Thunderstorm Gem Mix for a little sparkle. For the finishing touch, I wrapped black twine around the top of the card. I began by stamping the wagon from Autumn Bountiful Beauty and the flowers from the Winter Blooms stamp sets onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. For the background, I die-cut the Simple Plaid Cover Plate Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a white card base. The wagon and floral die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue. Next, I die-cut the "merry" from the Merry Christmas Word Die Set one time from gold glitter cardstock and twice from heavyweight white cardstock. "Christmas" was cut once from red cardstock and two times from heavyweight white cardstock using the same die set. All the die-cut layers were adhered together, then adhered to the background using liquid glue. Sweet & Spooky Halloween Card

by Andrea Shell on Aug 16 2024
Hello there! It's Andrea back with you to share a sweet and spooky Halloween card featuring new products from Picket Fence Studios. Isn't that girl adorable in her cat costume?! She's from the new Freckle Friends: Bella Boo stamp set. I colored her with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen. It doesn't show in the photos, but I also brushed clear sparkle over her costume (What little girl wouldn't love a sparkly cat costume?). That awesome background is from the new Halloween Cottages Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts. You really don't need to do much when you have backgrounds this fantastic! I trimmed mine down and matted it with black cardstock. That fun gingham paper is from the new Haunted Halloween Gingham Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts. I trimmed it slighly, adhered it to a white card and attached my matted panel on top. I popped up my colored image with foam squares and added a couple of bats created with the Trick or Treat Halloween Word Dies. I diecut the bats from two colors of glitter paper, offset them slightly and attached them with a dot of glue under the bodies, bending up the wings for dimension. The sentiment is from the previously-released Ghosts of Halloween Past stamp set. I heat-embossed it in white and diecut it with the coordinating dies. I attached my sentiment with foam, and my card was done. Thanks for stopping by! *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.
