Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this Christmas card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Stocking Full of Coal Stamps” which I stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad” and then painted with alcohol markers. Then to give the stamps more relief, I used the white Gelly Roll in the areas where I wanted to give shine and the black Micron Pigma in the areas where I wanted to give more depth. For the background I used the “Christmas Whishes Stamps” which I stamped with black ink and also added a strip cut from red cardboard of the "Slimline Scene Building Time for Tea Dies”And for the sentiment I used a phrase from the “Stocking Full of Coal Stamps” that i stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad”.I also added some “Gems mix fire” as decoration. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time!

Another Rainbow for all Seasons

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Jun 16 2023
Happy Friday! Eugy here, and I’m thrilled to share with you my latest creation using new products from the June release.I’ve created a newborn card using two new products: the Another Rainbow for all Seasons Die and the Glamourous Embellishment Jar. To begin with, I made a vibrant background for the card using inks and Bright Rainbow Paper Pouncers. Next, I cut out a window for the shaker from this panel using the shadow die of the rainbow dies. On the piece that served as the background, I stamped some florals using brown inks and the Million Little Things stamp. The fun part followed - filling the shaker with the Glamourous Embellishment Jar! To add depth to my creation, I cut out rainbow elements from white and silver glitter cardstock, and affixed them on the card using dimensional To finish, I stamped a sentiment from the Animal Crackers: Kind Messages set. The result is a pretty and cute card I’m absolutely in love with! I can’t wait to hear what you all think of this new release and my creative journey in making this piece.Happy crafting and have a great weekend!Eugy

June New Release Day! - Espresso Bar Table Dies

by Sammi Offield on Jun 14 2023
Happy New Release Day crafty friends! Sammi here to share a card made with the AMAZING new Scene Building: Espresso Bar Table Dies! I absolutely love this die set! I love the retro feel of the colors red and teal, so I went with that color scheme for my scene and I LOVE it! Here is how I made this card: First, I wanted a wood grained background for my wood wall, so I used the A2 Against the Grain Cover Plate die and then ink blended it with Distress inks. I edged the corners and edges with darker Distress inks to make it looked a little more aged. I then cut out the pieces in the Espresso Bar Table dies - I cut out the table, espresso machine, flower/vase, row of cups, 3 individual cups, and then the bread, donut, bananas, oranges, apple and pear. I then cut out the tier basket out of silver metallic cardstock. I then colored the smaller pieces with Copic markers and edged the espresso machine with Distress inks to make it look vintage. I then ink blended the table with Distress inks and ink edged it too. After that, I placed the table onto the card panel with some foam tape. I then started adding the espresso machine, flower/vase and cups using glue and foam tape. I then glued the fruit and breads into the tier basket and then added it to the table with glue and foam tape.  I then decided I wanted to make a poster for the wall from the new Our Finest Selection background stamp so I picked out a image from the background stamp and then cut it down to a square and matted it with some teal cardstock. I then glued it onto the background wall.  I then stamped the sentiment from the new Espresso Yourself stamp set with teal ink and then cut it down to size and added it to the card panel with foam tape and then added some bling from the All About the Teals Sequin Mix. After the card panel was complete, I glued it onto a A2 card base. Happy Friday! Eugy here and I’m so excited to share with you a lovely shaker card I made using the new Purr-fect for Me stamp and coordinating die from our May release. Can't get over how adorable these designs are! I started by stamping the images and then added color with my Copic Markers. And for the background, I used the Scene Building: Grass Tufts Dies, which added a perfect spring-summer vibe to my card. The grass was brought to life by some blending using the Rainbow Paper Pouncers. Then I cut shaker window out using the Matching Misshapen Stitched Circle Dies. And guess what went inside? The Sequin Mix Plus - Strawberry Daquiri! It gives a cute, sparkly effect that is just irresistible. Now, I have some exciting news for you! Don't forget that we have our Memorial Day Sale this weekend. It's the perfect opportunity to snag some products at amazing prices. So mark your calendars, it's going to be an exciting weekend! Skipping rope with friends by Laura

Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Skipping rope with friends Stamps” which I stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad” and then painted with alcohol markers. Then to give the stamps more relief, I used the white Gelly Roll in the areas where I wanted to give shine and the black Micron Pigma in the areas where I wanted to give more depth. Below I used the “Skipping rope with friends Coordinating dies” to cut them out, but you can also carefully cut them out with scissors. For the background I used a white cardboard on which I used the “Cloud Coverage stencil” to draw the clouds... For the grass I used the die "Scene Building: Grassy Hill Die” which I also painted in the same shades of green. For the sentiment I used a phrase from the same set of stamps that i stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad”. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time!

Plant Happy Thoughts

Hello, Eugy here! I have always had a love for indoor plants. They bring a fresh, vibrant energy to any room and are a great way to reconnect with nature. However, despite my best efforts, I seem to struggle to keep them alive for very long, unlike the ones on the cards 😂. Today I would like to share this card with you. It's very easy to make! First, I blended light inks using the Life Changing Blending Brushes. Then I chose a stamp from the Plant Happy Thoughts set and applied various colored inks to it. Before stamping, I blended them with the new Paper Pouncers. To finish up my card, I used my absolute favorite sentiment from this set. Well, that's it, just a couple of simple steps and the card is ready! And finally, just a quick reminder that there will be an Easter sale on the website from Friday, April 7 to Monday, April 10, stay tuned. Happy crafting and have a wonderful weekend! Eugy

On This Special Day card

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Mar 17 2023
Hello there! It's Eugy here, and today I'm sharing this bright birthday card I made using the fun sentiment die set called "On This Special Day Word Die." I've been wanting to use this word die set for quite some time now to make a special card for someone's birthday, and I'm so excited to finally share how it turned out. I love how the large, blocky font of this die cut sentiment contrasts with the fun, whimsical patterns on the patterned paper I created for the card base. Here I paired the Tree Bark 6×8 Stencil and the Presents for All Seasons stamp. This was the first time I tried brand new tool: Paper Pouncers. The stencil and pouncers are versatile tools that can be used in many different ways to create a wide array of beautiful patterns and textures. I look forward to experimenting further with these products to achieve additional unique effects and backgrounds in the future. I accented the card with some gold foil cardstock for some fun texture and finished it off with a few gemstones from the Ghost House Gem Mix. Overall I'm really pleased with how this birthday card turned out. I hope it inspires you in your own crafting and card making adventures! Have a great weekend! Eugy

Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Peter bunny and Friends" Stamps set that I stamped with "Black Hybrid ink pad" which is perfect for this type of stamps! Next I prepared the background: for this I used the "Plumeria Flowers 6x8" stencil that I painted with distress inks in a corner of the card. For the sentiment I used a phrase from the same set of stamps that I cut out of white cardstock. To decorate I added some "Gems mixes fire" to give the card a little more contrast. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! Hello there! Eugy here and welcome back to The Picket Fence Studios Christmas Countdown! Just 8 days left, so exited! Today I would like to share with you this simple card, which is a great idea for a last minute project! I started this project by creating a background, I used Traditional Christmas Green Paper Glitz and green cardstock to create a tone on tone dimensional background. Have you already seen this new versatile polka dot stencil from the new release? I just love the A Whole Lot of Polka Dots 6x6 Stencil! After I stamped and die-cut the wreath and sentiment, I colored my image with Copics. Here I used the Welcome Winter Wreath stamp and coordinating dies. I really appreciate that there are coordinating dies for sentiments, too. All I have left to do is to assemble everything together. For an even greater tridemensional effect, I added vellum layer under the wreath. I hope you liked this card idea! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

Christmas Countdown - Jolly Christmas Gnome Scene

by Brenda Noelke on Dec 07 2022

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Welcome back to the Countdown to Christmas!! Brenda here with a festive, frosty scene card to share with you today featuring the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. I began by stamping the amazing Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. For the background, I die-cut the Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate Die from dark brown cardstock. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock for the snow, added some shading with Copics, then adhered it to an A2 panel of light blue cardstock. The tree was adhered to the background and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I added some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze Velvet with a paintbrush and sprinkled on some clear glitter while it was still wet. I splattered some diluted white gouache onto the background for the snowfall in my winter scene. The sentiment is also from the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The gnome and sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. I added some snow to the gnome with a white gel pen and my scene was finished!!   This Jolly Christmas Gnome has sooooo much character!! I just LOVE him!! Thanks so much for dropping in today!! Have a wonderful Wednesday and be sure to check back each day for more inspiration during the Christmas Countdown!!

Happy Holidays From Our Family To Yours cards.

Happy Sunday! Eugy here and today I’m sharing these two Christmas cards I made using non traditional color palette. I started making my cards with background preparation. I blended some distress oxides and added splashes of water and white gouache. The backgrounds turned out to be very cute and delicate, and I wanted to add some contrast. So I collected all my dark-colored materials and started creating.  The base of the first card I cut out with with the second largest die from the 5x7 Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Die set from the November release. After that, I added some dimension using Christmas Ornaments Stencil and the Blackboard Paper Glaze Velvet.  Then I cut out a bow from the Autumn Splendor Fabric Cork Paper for an even greater 3D effect. Oh, how beautiful it turned out! I love diecutted sentimets, here i used one from the An Animal Crackers Christmas Hello stamp set. And as a final touch, I added some sequins from the All about the Galaxy Sequin Mix.  I diecut the base for my second card with an outline die from the Santa's Hot Cocoa Mug Die set and then I diecut the part for the shaker using the Autumn Splendor Fabric Cork Paper. After that I stamped and diecut small images and sentiments from the An Animal Crackers Christmas Hello stamp set. All I had to do to finish the card was to assemble the shaker and fill it with sequins and tiny diecuts. Easy enough, isn't it?  You can find some of the products I use on the Black Friday sale on the site, which ends on November 29. Hope you liked this project.  Happy crafting and have a nice day!

One stamp set, two different styles. Featuring Rockin' around the Christmas Tree stamp set.

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Nov 10 2022
Hi there! Eugy here and today I’m sharing two Christmas card ideas using Rockin' around the Christmas Tree stamp and coordinating die from the October release.   I wanted my first card to be a clean and simple, so I used the masking tape technique. I stamped the scene I had on my mind and simply colored it with copic markers.   This is a very fun technique, it helps you create a lot of different compositions and scenes. Guess which of the characters I stamped first? My second card is completely different, it’s bright and bold 🤪😁 After I stamped and colored all little critters, I started thinking about the background. And it seemed to me that a non-Christmas stencil would be perfect here. Or rather, Tropical Leaves A2 Stencil! A great versatile design that suits any season! And as a finishing touch, I used a glitter sentiment on a vellum backing. Hope you liked this card ideas! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

Clean and Simple five-minute cards

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Jul 29 2022

Happy Friday! Eugy here, today I’m sharing some Clean and Simple card ideas using the Fancy Life Events Sentiments stamp set (it has coordinating dies!) and other gorgeous products from the July release. All of my cards were super easy to make! But first, just a little reminder that we have a Flash Sale on site (exclude the July release). I made my first card using heart stamp from Ink Swatching stamp set. I was so excited to try this new stamp and I found it’s super fun and easy to use - I already created swatches for all my “inks for stamping”! After I stamped my background, I added a sentiment and some glitter cardstock. Voila, my card is ready! To get beautifully blended two-tone gradient impressions, I used Life Changing Blender Brushes to blend ink before stamping. And the best thing about Fancy Life Events Sentiments stamp set is that it has coordinating dies! For my second card, I prepared the card base by coloring it using ink pad technique. After that, I simply diecutted a white card panel with new gorgeous Opulent Negative Strip Die and mounted it on my pre-colored card base using 3d foam squares. The sentiment stamped in black ink seemed too bright to me, and I muted it with some pearl embossing powder. For my last card, I wanted something not usual, maybe some dry embossing effect. So I embossed white A2 panel with new Opulent Negative Strip Die (I use a standard sandwich for Cuttlebug), added colorful sentiment and some crystals for an extra sparkle. As you can see, all those cards can be done in five minutes! Go check out the entire July release or Flash Sale! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

More leaves Card by Laura

by Laura Nistal on Jul 27 2022
Hello everyone!! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this fall card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "More Maple Leaves", "More Oak Leaves" and "More Ash Leaves" dies that i cut on gold and black cardboard. Next I prepared the background: for this I cut the outside of the leaf dies and used them as a stencil. Then I randomly placed them in the background and painted them with Distress Oxide inks in earth tones. Then I was pasting the leaves on top, but with a little offset to give it a different touch. For the sentiment i cut the "Good day to you word" die on gold cardboard and placed it in the center of the card. And this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store.  A huge kiss and until next time! Laura
