Picket Fence Has So Many Fun Words!

by Becky Roberts on Mar 13 2020
Hi Stamping Friends, Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho here today posting to the Picket Fence blog. I really love the sentiments sets that Picket Fence Studios carries, so today I decided to pair them up with some of the stand alone word dies to create cards with sayings that probably weren't meant to go together but sure are fun! Seriously OMG. NO. JUST NO. Seriously Word Die Always be you the world can adjust Always Word Die Love Ya really. truly. absolutely. Love Ya Word Die Coffee you make my heart skip a beat Coffee Word Die The sentiment sets I used are It's Peopley Out There, Favorite Notification and Seriously, Absolutely, Always     Seriously, Absolutely, Always and Favorite Notification It's Peopley Out There Look how fun these words are!   The background for all of these is A City in the World. I started with a stencil background for each of them, but when I added the words, it felt kind of plain, so I stamped the background over the top. Thanks for reading today! by Becky Roberts on Jan 10 2020
Hi Friends, Becky Roberts here today on the Picket Fence Blog.  Have you ever shown up to an occasion just because you know there will be cake?  LOL  I have!  Seems appropriate, right? For this card, I used the beautiful background stamp, A City in the World.  I love that it could be virtually anywhere! The girl is stamped with the German Braids stamp set and German Braids coordinating die.  I colored her hair with Copic Markers E49, E18, E39, E17 and E13. The flower in her hair is from the Let's Decorate Stamp set and die and colored with Copic Markers R24, R22, R20 Leaves, YG97, YG95, YG93.  Let's Decorate Stamp Set                                       Let's Decorate Dies The sentiment which I love so much is from the stamp set called Cheat Day Enjoy some cake today!   Becky

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! Ilina here!  Today I am sharing a card using the new City on the World background stamp. I stamped on pool card stock using embossing ink and embossed in white. Once embossed I sprayed with shimmer spray and let it dry. Once done ,trimmed the panel to 4" x 5 1/4". Set it aside.  Stamp sentiment  from Charles the Chameleon set on vellum and emboss in white. Attach to panel. Using fun foam adhere to top folding white note card.

A (Colourful) City In The World with Erica

by Erica Andersson-Burke on Jan 02 2020
Hi guys!  Erica back on the Picket Fence Studios blog after some technology-mishaps/vicious vendetta issues. I swear it's not me, it's IT.  Today's card is using the A City In The World stamp and is inspired by the many cute villages around where I live. My husband and I moved to Valencia, Spain less than three months ago and I'm completely obsessed with the architecture, the gates and wrought iron that's so prominent here. I love it!  I stamped it up with Black Hybrid ink on water colour paper. The colouring is done with Atelier re-inkers from Inkon3 and although it doesn't show up that well in the photos, the houses are all shimmery. My jug of water had some gold shimmer at the bottom and I didn't think it mattered but oh boy, when it was dry, it was so noticeable! I'm chalking this one up to a happy accident as I actually love how it turned out. While the colouring was drying, I stamped up the City image again on masking paper and fussy cut that out. This I placed over the coloured image to protect it while I ink blended the background.  I've used some yellows, orange and dark currant coloured inks to create a really dramatic sky. The ink blending itself is of course done with the Life Changing Blender Brushes.  Because I'm a weirdo, I haven't added a sentiment to this card. I have this thing where I don't like covering up my colouring... I can't explain why, I simply don't like it, so I left this as it is. Leaving it free to be a whatever card! Or maybe Happy New Home? That could be something.  That's it from me for today, thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!!  Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
