Hello everyone! Bonnie here from BONNIECAROLLEE MAKES CARDS. I have three card examples using using Picket Fence Studios’ Slim Line Rainbow. This is a gorgeous die with delicate veins between each ray of light. I have a simple trick that makes inlaid paper piecing easy.
Slim Line Rainbow was cut from card stock keeping the die cuts in place. Four strips of scotch tape placed on the back hold everything in place. The coloured rays of light replace the corresponding one on the background. This process is done one die cut at a time. The delicate vein between the rays is snuggled up right against the light ray before the next one is added. When completed, additional tape is used on the back to ensure all the rays stay aligned! The inlaid panels were die cut with the 2nd largest die from Slim Line Nested Rectangles and mounted on matted card bases measuring 3 1/2" by 8 1/2".
The sentiment from Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles was die cut from rainbow patterned paper. The secondary sentiment from Add Colour To Your Life was stamped with Intense Black ink and clear embossed. Both sentiments were foam mounted. The card was embellished with clay circles found in Day Of Rainbows Sequin Mix Plus.
For this cute birthday card, My Pet Unicorn Dear, was Copic coloured.
- Skin Tone - E00, 02
- Hair - E79, 47, 42
- Unicorn - R20, 000
- Dress - R22, 20
This final card is all about glitter and shine! The main sentiment is again from Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles and the clear embossed secondary sentiment from BFF Girl's Night Out. Both were foam mounted. The black and purple sequins from Day of Rainbows were finished off with Morning Dew.
