Christmas Countdown | A Christmas Poinsettia Star
by Sara Sherlock on Dec 21 2022
1
We have four days left until Christmas Day! And today I'm here to share a card using a stamp set for the FOURTH year in a row. I absolutely adore the Christmas Poinsettia Star Stamp. I pull it out each Christmas to create something fun - and this year, I did a mass production of this card. It was so easy, and in less than a day's time, I had lots of pretty cards to send out.
PFS Products Used on This Card:
• Christmas Poinsettia Star Stamp
• Cheers Word Die
• Winter Has Come to Town Stamp
• A Classic Christmas Sequin Mix
• Black Hybrid Ink
One of the best parts of this card, is that it's seasonal - rather than "Christmas" - it's a perfect card to send to those who observe other holidays this time of year, or to send to celebrate the New Year.
I hope you enjoyed today's project. Have a fantastic day!
Much Love,
Sara

Hello! It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara. I have a fun slim line card to share with you today. This card features two ink blended backgrounds, with some of the adorable critters from The Best Hugs Ever Stamp Set.
I started by stamping the critters in Black Hybrid Ink, and quickly colored them in with my Polychromos pencils. Then I die cut them out with the coordinating dies. While my die cutting machine was out, I also die cut the Slim Line Hugs from Afar Word Topper Die from black card stock. To change the layout of the die, I laid it on a strip of 8.5" card stock, with the words in the center, then left the left edge hanging off of the bottom plate, so the edge would not cut. Then I could use my trimmer to cut the rest of the strip out. I did not add a subtitle to this strip, however, wanted a small detail, so I stamped and white heat embossed the small hearts from the stamp set.
To create the backgrounds for my critters, I used the Water Coloring Scene Building Stencil, turned so the stencil was horizontal. I used a small bit of painters tape to create the "hill". Then I ink blended some Distress Oxide Inks, using my Life Changing Blender Brushes. For the icy scene, I used Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. Before removing the stencil, I splattered water on the background.
To create the warmer savannah background, I used Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks. I sprayed water onto a wadded up paper towel, and dabbed that over the sky area to create soft clouds.
Once the ink blended panel was dry, I assembled the card, and adhered it to a white card base.
I hope you enjoyed today's project. Find more cards using products from the recent February Release over on my blog. Have a fantastic Tuesday!
Much Love,
Sara

Hello! It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara. Welcome to day 5 of our 25 Days of Christmas Inspiration! I don't know about you, but even with the bulk of my Christmas cards sent, I often find myself making "just one more card" right up until Christmas. There's always a stamp set I can't pass up, or want to reuse. And, if I don't need the card to send, it gets me a little ahead for the next year. Today, I'm sharing a card, that came about because I really wanted to color the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp again.

Hello! It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara. Today, I'm sharing a fun Christmas card, created with a few products from this month's release.
I began this card by stamping the Winter Has Come to Town image onto white card stock, using Black Hybrid Ink. I chose the house I wanted to use, and colored in the image, using my Prismacolor pencils. Then, I fussy cut the house out. Using the Clouds Die, I cut snow drifts to adhere around the base of the house. While I had this stamp set out, I also stamped the sentiment onto dark green card stock, using Versamark ink, and then heat embossed it in copper.
On a piece of kraft card stock, I stamped the Falling Pinecones image, using Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink.
To complete the card, I assembled the pieces onto a white card base.
I hope you enjoyed today's card. Find more cards using products from the September Release over on my blog. Have a fantastic Tuesday!
