Merry Christmas Snowflakes

by Becky Roberts on Nov 20 2020
Hello and Happy Friday Stampers! Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho here with a card using almost all of the new snowflakes.  That's what happens when you can't decide, you use them all!  They are so beautiful it really wasn't hard.  I started with the big snowflakes by cutting them in vellum.  Then to hide some of the adhesive I used, I placed a few of the smaller snowflakes on top.  I cut them in vellum, white cardstock and silver mirror paper. The tiny snowflake is stamped in black in and is from the Ho Ho Ho stamp set. Here are the products used on this card. Snowflake Lydia Leave it in the comments below if you know who this snowflake was named after! Ü Snowflake Alice Winter Snowflakes Fancy Christmas Sentiments The gorgeous sentiment is embossed in white and is from the Fancy Christmas Sentiments stamp set.  The sentiments in this set are so pretty...and fancy!  Thank you for joining me.  Please follow me on Instagram for more inspiration. Happy Friday! Becky

Happy Friday Stampers! Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho here with a spooky good card and candy holder for October.   This Frankenstein is big and bold with fun sentiments!  Not gonna lie, he sort of gave me nightmares as he would surprise me on my desk a time or two while I was working on him!     I made the background with Distress Oxide ink and Life Changing Blender Brushes.  I die-cut four squares to make a window and added a window sheet behind it.  The window is popped up on foam tape and Frank is behind it.  I simply stamped him on green cardstock and embossed in black.  No coloring, no shading, no nothing! For this guy, I stamped on Copic friendly cardstock and colored with Copic Markers.  The finished box size is 1-3/4" x 4".  Cut your cardstock to 7-1/4" x5-3/4".  Score the length at 1-3/4", 3-1/2", 5-1/4" and 7".  Score for the bottom at 1-3/4". So Franken Cute Life Changing Blender Brushes Thanks for popping in today!  For more creative ideas, please follow me on Instagram.   Becky

Early Tulip Bouquet Card

by Becky Roberts on Aug 07 2020
Hello Stampers and Happy Friday! Becky Roberts here from Inking Idaho with a pretty tulip card.  We have a very, very short window of tulip growth here in Idaho, so when I see them I really enjoy them.  I stamped the Early Tulip Bouquet stamp with the Picket Fence Black ink pad.  I colored it in with a few Copic markers and then hand cut it out.  I turned the image over and on the backside, gently rubbed with a big ball stylus giving each flower a little bubble shape to it.  Then I added a foam square to the center of each of those areas and placed it on a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" cardstock.  That way it is popped up and has a little rounded shape to each flower. I used the Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil (one of my personal favorites!) and Distress Oxide ink with the Life Changing Blender Brushes on the card panel before adhering it to a folder card.  Then I ripped it off really fast because I noticed the card was upside down...don't tell me you've never done that! *Ü* Early Tulip Bouquet Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil Life Changing Blender Brushes   Have a lovely weekend! A Bride's Bouquet

Happy Friday to you!   Becky Roberts here from Inking Idaho with a beautiful wedding card. Weddings might look a little different but the bride and groom still get celebrated.  We have three weddings this summer that we would have attended but now we will just send a beautiful card and perfectly packaged gift...the benefits of having a ton of stamping stuff! I used the beautiful stamp set called A Bride's Bouquet. It has this image and several great sentiments for that special day. I colored the bouquet with Copic markers and hand cut it out.  I stamped the same image directly on the card so the stems would be there and I didn't have to cut them out. I placed foam squares behind the image and gently placed it over the stamped card.  I used markers to continue to color those little stems. I added  Gin & Tonic Sequins - oh how I LOVE this mix of sequins!! Before I did all that I lightly stenciled the background with the Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil, which unfortunately is currently sold out and the Life Changing Blender Brushes.   Life Changing Blender Brushes.  A Bride's Bouquet Happy Friday Stampers! Cake Is Important To A Happy Life!

by Becky Roberts on Apr 24 2020
Hi stampers, Becky Roberts here from Inking Idaho. Who loves cake?  It seems like I've been cooking non stop lately with everyone home and I've made a few cakes the last month. My family loves dessert!!  I like cake but not as much as I love coloring cakes, so today I have three cards to share featuring cake and images from the Let's Decorate Stamp Set. I have colored the images with Copic Markers and used the dies to cut them out.  The cake is popped up on Foam Squares. Let's Decorate Stamp Set         Let's Decorate Dies I made the backgrounds using Distress Oxide ink and Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes. Have you tried these yet?  They make ink blending so smooth and easy! These will make perfect birthday cards; I can't wait to send them to friends.  You will love the Let's Decorate set and dies for your celebrations too.  If you make some, tag me on Instagram so I can see! Sleeping Baby Onesie Card

by Becky Roberts on Apr 03 2020
Happy Friday Picket Fence Stampers!  Becky Roberts here from Inking Idaho with a pretty little baby girl card. To get the onesie shape I made a few cuts.  Start with a 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of cardstock.  Fold in half like you would for a regular card. 1.  Sleeves:  Measure on the sides of the card where the sleeves will go, from the top corners down to 1-1/2".  Make a tiny pencil mark.  From that pencil mark measure 3/4" in towards the chest.  Cut on that 3/4" line. 2.  Sides: From that cut 3/4" line, use a ruler to draw a line diagonally to the bottom corners of the card and then cut on that line. 3.  You now have a onesie with sleeves.  Use a corner rounder on the sleeves to round and soften the sharp corners. 4.  Legs: I used a 1-1/2" circle punch to add the leg holes.  After you make the punch, use your scissors to slightly straighten the crotch area so it look more like how the leg holes should look. 5.  Neck:  I used the same hole punch to create the neck opening.   6.  Now it is time to decorate. Rose Stencil Sleeping Baby Stamp Set I stenciled the roses and leaves onto the light pink cardstock with Distress Oxide Inks and the Life Changing Blender Brushes.  I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock measuring approximately 2-1/8" x 1".  I hand cut the tag shape and punched a hole to attached to the ribbon sash.  Add jewels, pearls or little buttons to the top. Have a lovely weekend, friends - stay safe out there! Becky
