Animal Crackers: Kind Messages Card

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Jul 18 2023
Hi there, fellow crafters, Eugy here! Today, I'm excited to share a card I created using the delightful  Animal Crackers: Kind Messages stamp from the June release. This cardmaking process was pretty straightforward and quick, ideal for those times when you need a beautiful card fast. I started by stamping the adorable animal image and proceeded to color it with alcohol markers. The blending and the vibrant colors truly brought these cute creatures to life. Next, I stamped the same image on masking paper and and did some fussy cutting. After adhering the cutout to the previously colored image, I was ready for the next step, adding an extra pop of cheer to my card. With the mask in place, I was able to add a stunning rainbow blending effect around the animals using Distress Oxide Inks and the Sun with Rays 6x6 Stencil. The bold and beautiful rainbow hues did a great job at lifting the spirits! After completing the blending, the masking paper was peeled off to reveal the cleanly preserved image underneath. The final touch was the inclusion of a heartfelt sentiment. I find the entire cardmaking process deeply satisfying, especially when the outcome carries such a supportive and uplifting message. I hope this inspires you to try out the Animal Crackers: Kind Messages & Coordinating Die set for your next cardmaking project. Happy crafting! Eugy

Another Rainbow for all Seasons by Laura

by Laura Nistal on Jul 11 2023
Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Tweet Tweet Friends Stamps” which I stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad” and then painted with alcohol markers. Then to give the stamps more relief, I used the white Gelly Roll in the areas where I wanted to give shine and the black Micron Pigma in the areas where I wanted to give more depth. Below I used the “Tweet Tweet Friends Coordinating dies” to cut them out, but you can also carefully cut them out with scissors. Next I prepared the rainbow with the “Another Rainbow for All Seasons Die” that I cut in different colors. I also cut the clouds out of the "Slimline Curvy Rainbow Die” to support the rainbow. For the background I used the “Slimline Cloud Coverage Stencil” to simulate a sky and I painted it with distress inks. And for the sentiment I used a phrase from the “Tweet Tweet Friebds Stamps” that i stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad”. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time!

HiHeyHello - Longneck Family Kit

by Sammi Offield on Jun 09 2023
Hey crafty friends! Sammi here to share a card made with the AMAZING Longneck Family kit! This kit is FULL of so many goodies to play with! There are stamps, dies, glazes, sequins, a stencil, paper, twine and more! Today I am sharing a card made with the Hi Hey Hello, Giraffe stamp and the Long Neck Family kit Paper Glaze. This glaze is amazing! Here is how I made this card! Fist I stamped the giraffe with the PFS Black Hybrid Ink Pad and colored him with Copic markers. I then fussy cut out him out and then edged the edges with brown distress inks.  I really love the vintage piece of paper that comes with the kit. It is bigger than a A2 sized card, so I tore it down to size and then edged it with Distress inks to make it look aged. I then took the stencil and stenciled the piece with the Long Neck Family kit Paper Glaze and let it dry. After it was dry, I then curled in the edges in various spots to make it look more aged and added some more Distress ink.  In the kit are many colors of cardstock. I chose to use the darker hunter green color and I cut a piece down to a A2 size. In the kit is a small little sander. I love it! I took the sander and sanded the edges of the green piece of cardstock and then added some Distress ink to make it looked aged. I then cut a sentiment piece and repeated the same process. I then embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.  I then glued the stenciled piece of paper onto the green card panel, then I glued the sentiment onto the card panel. I then added the giraffe with some foam tape and then glued the card panel onto a A2 card base. To finish the look, I added some sequins that come with the kit.  Here is what you need to make this card: Long Neck Family Exclusive Kit – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Black Hybrid Ink Pad – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) I love how this card came out! It looks so safari! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

A Sweet Little Note

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Apr 28 2023
Happy Friday! Eugy here and I’m thrilled to share with you this card I made using products from the April release! For my latest creation, I used the Watermelon Nectar clear stamp to create a vivid background for the card, and then colored it with Copic Ciao markers to make it even brighter. The stamp has a beautiful watermelon design that makes you feel like you are holding a juicy fruit in your hand. I love how the colors blend together seamlessly, creating a beautiful and eye-catching pattern. Next, I die-cut a slice of watermelon from the A Rainbow for All Seasons set and colored it with Copic Ciao markers. This stand-alone die has a beautiful rainbow design that reminds me of summer days. You can use it to create various shapes and designs, and it's perfect for adding a 3D touch to any project. I also added some details to the die-cut watermelon slice, such as coloring the seeds and adding white gel pen accents, to make it pop even more. Finally, I added a cute sentiment from the Sweet Sweet Dear Stamp & Coordinating Die. The set has various sentiments that are perfect for different occasions. I chose a simple and sweet phrase that says "A Sweet Little Note" to add a personal touch to the card. You can also add your own message to make it even more special. The end result is a beautiful, handmade card that is sure to brighten up anyone's day. Whether it's a birthday greeting, a thank you note, or simply a hello, this card is perfect for showing your loved ones how much you care. So why not surprise and delight your friends and family with such a delightful gift? Don't miss the chance to share your love and creativity this summer with Picket Fence Studios products. Happy crafting and have a nice weekend!

Hello everyone! Hello there! Eugy here and welcome back to The Picket Fence Studios Christmas Countdown! Just 8 days left, so exited! Today I would like to share with you this simple card, which is a great idea for a last minute project! I started this project by creating a background, I used Traditional Christmas Green Paper Glitz and green cardstock to create a tone on tone dimensional background. Have you already seen this new versatile polka dot stencil from the new release? I just love the A Whole Lot of Polka Dots 6x6 Stencil! After I stamped and die-cut the wreath and sentiment, I colored my image with Copics. Here I used the Welcome Winter Wreath stamp and coordinating dies. I really appreciate that there are coordinating dies for sentiments, too. All I have left to do is to assemble everything together. For an even greater tridemensional effect, I added vellum layer under the wreath. I hope you liked this card idea! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Welcome back to the Countdown to Christmas!! Brenda here with a festive, frosty scene card to share with you today featuring the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. I began by stamping the amazing Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. For the background, I die-cut the Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate Die from dark brown cardstock. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock for the snow, added some shading with Copics, then adhered it to an A2 panel of light blue cardstock. The tree was adhered to the background and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I added some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze Velvet with a paintbrush and sprinkled on some clear glitter while it was still wet. I splattered some diluted white gouache onto the background for the snowfall in my winter scene. The sentiment is also from the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The gnome and sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. I added some snow to the gnome with a white gel pen and my scene was finished!!   This Jolly Christmas Gnome has sooooo much character!! I just LOVE him!! Thanks so much for dropping in today!! Have a wonderful Wednesday and be sure to check back each day for more inspiration during the Christmas Countdown!!

by Brenda Noelke on Nov 03 2022
Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Brenda here with you today to share a sweet winter scene card featuring the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set!! I began by stamping the adorable mice from the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The background was created by stamping the snow and snowbanks, also from the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock with Black Hybrid Ink. It was also colored with Copic markers. The trees from the Scene Building: Winter Wonderland Trees Stamp Set were stamped several times onto another piece of white cardstock with Black Hybrid Ink. They were also colored with Copics, fussy cut and adhered to the background with liquid glue. I splattered the panel with diluted white gouache and brushed some Sparkle Paper Glitz onto the trees and snow with a paintbrush. Once it was dry, I trimmed it slightly, then adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock, then a white card base. The Let It Snow Word Die was cut once from red cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together with the red layer on top. I added some Snowfall Paper Velvet to the top edges of the letters with a palette knife. Once dry, it was adhered to the top of the card with liquid glue. The sweet mice were popped up with foam adhesive and I was finished. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by!! Have a great day!!

When I saw the Name Off the Good List Stamp Set, I knew immediately who I would send it to!! I LOVE when that happens!! Let’s get to my card!! I began by stamping the Santa and sentiment from Name Off the Good List onto white cardstock with black hybrid ink. I colored Santa with Copic markers, then cut it and the sentiment out with the Coordinating Dies. For the background, I die-cut the A2 Evergreens On a Hill Cover Plate Die from heavyweight white cardstock. I mixed Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze with a bit of Sparkle Paper Glitz and spread it onto the bottom of the panel with a palette knife. I added some Leaf Green Paper Glaze to the trees with my finger, to create some texture. Once that was dry, I adhered it to an A2 size panel of dark blue cardstock, then a white card base. I diluted some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze and splattered it onto the background with a paint brush. That dried pretty quickly, then I adhered Santa and the sentiment with foam tape. Nancy here to share a Christmas card using products from the latest release.  After stamping the From Our Gang to Yours image onto Copic friendly cardstock, I cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment from the set was stamped using cherry kisses ink and also cut with its matching die. Done Adulting for The Day Shaker Card by Theary Chea

by Theary Chea on Jul 11 2022
Hello PFS family!I am happy to be back on the blog, sharing another card with you all today. I have been dreaming about a tropical getaway, and that very feeling inspired this card. I inked and blended a few shades of hybrid inks onto white cardstock using my wonderful PFS Life Changing Blender Brushes. If you haven't tried using these brushes yet, you should pick up a few because they're so soft and make blending effortless. After blending the background, I taped down the Tropical Leaves Stencil and spread a thin layer of Paper Glaze Luxe in Arctic Fox and Spanish Moss using my Mixed Media Spatulas. And, guys! These colors are so beautiful in person; the camera doesn't capture the incredible shine. If you're not aware, the finish of the Paper Glaze Luxe is actually quite different from the other Paper Glaze line. The Luxe line is fortify with a mixture of mica and glitter resulting in an luscious shine and shimmer. It's absolutely beautiful in person.  Then using a basic oval die from my stash, I die-cut the center of the stencil out using my die-cutting machine to create a shaker window. Before I adhered the acetate sheet to the back of the stenciled panel, I heat-embossed one of the sentiments in black embossing powder onto the acetate sheet. After that, I adhered it to the stenciled panel and applied foam tape on the back to create a shaker well. I used Sandy Toes Sequins Mix to add to the shaker well for the shaker elements. I felt that the color palette of this particular mix was spot on with the whole tropical beach vibe theme. From there, I placed that onto a piece of cardstock that I inked blended with an area of light beige ink only to the area seen through the shaker window. I stamped out the image from the Done Adulting For The Day set in our alcohol-friendly Hybrid Black Ink and colored it in with alcohol-markers. When starting out with my coloring journey, I didn't realized how important it was to have the correct type of ink pads and paper for different types of project. Good thing is, our Hybrid Black Ink works well with a lot of different types of medium. My favorite paper to use with alcohol-markers is a smooth-thick cardstock. After coloring in the image, I then used the coordinating dies to cut it out and adhered it to the front of the card front with foam squares.  Finally, I adhered the entire piece to a side folding card base. So, that's it! I love the dimension of the Paper Glaze Luxe. It's such a great texture on a card front to create just enough drama. I hope you enjoy this tutorial, and I look forward to chatting with you all soon. Have a wonderfully blessed day!Theary CheaPicket Fence Studios Products Used:Done Adulting For The Day Sandy Toes Sequin Mix Tropical Leaves Stencil Paper Glaze Luxe Spanish Moss Paper Glaze Luxe Arctic Fox Life Changing  Blender Brushes  Hybrid Black Ink Pad
