Trick or treat Hallowen card

by Silvana Chambon on Aug 29 2024
Hello, friends! Welcome to Picket Fence Studios´blog! It´s Silvana here from Casa Magnolia  and today I want to share with you a fun and easy Halloween card made with some of the new products from the last release.   The card features the new Trick or Treat Halloween word die set which has the phrase "trick or treat" "Halloween" word and three different sized bats. I cut two times the phrase with white heavy cardstock and stack them together. For the top layer, I foiled a piece of Solid Black Fabulous Foiling Toner Cardstock  with the Silver Strobe Lights Fabulous Foiling Toner . I cut the bats in black cardstock and set all aside.  I made the background with alcohol inks and yupo paper. I stamped the new Cheers, witches stamp with embossing ink and black embossing powder.  I know that yupo is not supposed to be heated, because it can curl if you over heat it because it´s plastic, but you can heat embossing over it. You need to be careful and not leave the heat gun in the same spot for too long or get it too close to the paper. It will get more time but it´s doable.  I assembled the card over an A2 card base, adding some black sequins for embellish. It´s a simple card but the alcohol ink background and the sparkle of the foiling make it stands and make it a fun halloween card.  I hope you like it and gives you an idea to your next Halloween card.  See you in my next blog post.  Have a fantastic day! Silvana.

Basket of Flowers

by Andrea Shell on Apr 05 2024
Hello there! It's Andrea back with you, and today I'm sharing a card featuring some products from the newest release. Aren't you just loving all of the flowers?! I am! My card features the new A Basket of Wildflowers stamp set. I stamped the basket with brown ink onto kraft cardstock and the flowers with Black Hybrid Ink onto white cardstock. I colored the flowers with Copics and cut everything out. For my background I used one of the panels from the new Wildflowers Fabulously Foiling Toner Card Fronts. Using my Minc, I transferred Brown Bear Fabulous Toner Foil to the panel. Next, I applied blue-violet ink to the panel with a Life Changing Blender Brush and then colored the flowers with Copics. I trimmed down the panel slightly and adhered it to a white card. I cut a slit in the basket and tucked in the flowers, adhering them with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares. I attached the basket to my card with foam tape and tied a twine bow around the handle. My sentiment is from the More Fancy Sentiments stamp set. I stamped it with Black Hybrid Ink and diecut it with the coordinating dies. I popped up the sentiment with foam adhesive and finished with a few Iridescent Moonshine sequins. Beautiful Foiled Butterflies

Hello there! It's Andrea back to share a colorful and quick card featuring the Flutter Fly Fabulous Foiling Toner Card Fronts.  I foiled two different card fronts from the pack. For the panel in the background, I used Rainbow Flake Fabulous Toner Foil, and for the other card front, I applied Gold Flake Fabulous Toner Foil. I colored the gold-foiled butterflies with Copics and fussy-cut them.  From the center of the rainbow panel, I diecut "hello" with the Another Hello There Word Dies. I trimmed down the panel, matted it with black cardstock and adhered it to a white card. I applied Black Eyeliner Paper Glaze Luxe to black cardstock. I just love making my own glitter cardstock! Once the glaze was dry, I diecut it with the Another Hello There Word Dies. My original plan was to inlay the black letters, but I decided I wanted a little more dimension. Hence, I diecut "hello" from black cardstock and glued that before adhering the glitter sentiment. Finally, I affixed the Copic-colored butterflies with foam squares.
