Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a card featuring some fantastic goodies from the latest June Release!! I started by stamping the images from the Scene Building: Arbor and the images and sentiment from The Best Dirt stamp sets onto white cardstock with PFS black hybrid ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the Scene Building: Arbor and The Best Dirt coordinating dies to cut them out. The arbor die-cut was adhered to an A2 white card base with liquid glue. I used the Slim Line Cloud Coverage Stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and a Life Changing Blender Brush to add the clouds to the sky. I used another blending brush to add Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink toward the bottom of the card front for the ground. All of the die-cuts were arranged and adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue and the sentiment was popped up with foam adhesive. I used a yellow gel pen to accent the centers of the flowers and this card was finished. That’ll do it for me!! Thanks so much for dropping by!! Have a great day!! Brenda

I Whaley Love You

by Brenda Noelke on Jan 26 2023
Hello, Picket Fence friends!! How’s your week going? I hope it’s going well!! I’m sharing a sweet card today that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!! I began by stamping the adorable whale from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the whale with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. For the background, I masked off the sky and blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink onto the bottom of panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with Life Changing Blending Brushes for the sea. I splattered it with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I removed the mask and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide onto the sky, also with a blending brush. The Scene Building: Sand Stamp was stamped onto Kraft cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I repositioned the stamp and stamped it again with white pigment ink, then added some shading with the brown ink and a blending brush. Once the ink was dry, I trimmed it by hand and adhered it to the bottom of the ink-blended panel. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock, then to a white top-folding card base. The sentiment, also from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die. I also stamped a couple of hearts from the Somebunny Loves You Stamp Set with red ink and cut those out with their Coordinating Dies. The whale, sentiment and hearts were all popped up with foam adhesive and this card was finished. Such a simple and sweet card to show your love!! Thank you so much for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great one!! Brenda

Slim Line Soaring Butterflies

by Ilina Crouse on May 24 2021
Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I am sharing two slim line cards using the new Soar Butterfly stencil. What's better than rainbow butterflies?    To make the cards start by die cutting two panels from white card stock (I used 130lb cardstock) using the Slim Line Nested Rectangles dies. Next secure the stencil over them (one at a time) and ink blend some distress oxide inks using the Life Changing Brushes.      Once done, we just need to add sentiment and add to note card. For the first card I die cut You Are the Best word die from black card stock (3 times, and stacked the letters to get more dimensional look) then adhered to my panel. For the second card I stamped sentiment from Dandelion Delight set.  To finish off the cards I adhered them to black slim line note cards and added some Sands of Time gems!
