Hollyhock Hello and a Shaped Card

Hi there! It's Andrea here to share my last project as a design team member for Picket Fence Studios. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be on the team, and I hope I have inspired you even just a little. My card features the new Hollyhocks in Bloom stamp set along with the Beyond the Basics: A2 Scallops, Arches and Window Cover Plate Dies. I colored the hollyhocks with Copics and added a little shading with colored pencils before diecutting the image with the coordinating dies. I created a shaped cardbase with one of the scalloped arch dies from the Beyond Basics: A2 Scallops, Arches and Window Cover Plate Dies. With the same die, I created a scalloped arch from white cardstock. To add interest to the arch, I blended light blue ink through the Classic Hatch 6x8 Stencil with a Life Changing Blender Brush. I flicked Opaque Gold Paper Splatter over the panel using the Fan Brush. Once the background was dry, I adhered it to my cardbase and added a gold frame created with the A2 Scallops Dies. My focal sentiment was created with the Hello 3.0 Word Topper Die. First, I applied Peony Pink Paper Glaze to white cardstock. Once the glaze was dry, I diecut "hello" from the pink cardstock. I also diecut "hello" from white cardstock to layer behind the pink diecut to help it stand out on my card. I stamped a supporting sentiment from the Hollyhocks set and diecut it with the coordinating dies. To assemble my card, I attached the hollyhocks with thin 3D foam squares. After trimming the layered Hello diecuts slightly, I adhered it with foam and popped up my supporting sentiment on top. I finished with a scattering of gems from the In Wonderland Gem Mix. I Appreciate You - Hollyhocks in Bloom

by Brenda Noelke on Feb 16 2025
Hello, friends and happy Sunday!! Brenda here with a card featuring the stunning Hollyhocks in Bloom Stamp Set from yesterday's Whimsical Wonderland release!! There's also a two-day Instagram hop full of inspiration from the creative team and special guests that started yesterday, so be sure to check that out as well!! Day 2 of the hop starts at 4PM CST!! Let's get to my card, shall we? I started by stamping the floral and butterfly images from the Hollyhocks in Bloom Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored it with Copic markers, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. Purchase the Hollyhocks in Bloom Bundle and save 10%!! For the background, I die-cut the plaid die from the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Cover Plate Die Set from white cardstock. I die-cut another panel of white cardstock with the smallest rectangle die in the same set, along with a bright pink panel with the largest rectangle die. All the layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue. The hollyhocks were also adhered with liquid glue along the right side. The sentiments are also from the Hollyhocks in Bloom Stamp Set. They were white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. The sentiments and butterflies were popped up with foam adhesive and this card was finished. I can't wait to color these hollyhocks with other mediums!! They're so much fun to color!! That does it for me!! Be sure to check out the IG for tons more inspiration!! You can get started on the PFS account HERE!! Have a great Sunday and happy hopping!! Brenda

Happy Easter - Joyful Easter Stamps & Dies

by Brenda Noelke on Jan 17 2025
Hello, fellow crafters and happy Friday!! Brenda here with an Easter card featuring the Joyful Easter Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies, along with the Layers of Embroidery Stamp!! This color scheme just screams SPRING to me, which I am sooooo ready for!! I know, it's only January, but I can wish for spring to come sooner rather than later!! To begin, I stamped the floral bouquet and leaves from the Joyful Easter Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the images with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, accented the stamen with a yellow gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They were arranged and adhered together using liquid glue, then set aside to work on the background. I white heat embossed the Layers of Embroidery Stamp onto a panel of lilac cardstock. Several of the rectangle dies in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set to create lots of layers in the background. The embossed panel was die-cut with the smallest rectangle in the die set. I used the second smallest die in the same set to cut a mat from white cardstock. The second largest die was cut from a lilac gingham panel in the Lovely Gingham Fabulous Glossy A2 Card Fronts Pack. All the layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue, then adhered to an A2 white card base. The basket of blooms was popped up with foam tape. The sentiment, also from the Joyful Easter Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I cut it out with the Coordinating Die and adhered it with a combination of foam tape and liquid glue. A sprinkling of purple sequins from the Easter Bop Sequin Mix Plus adds a bit of sparkle and finishes off the card. I love how the bright colors in the bouquet pop off of the soft, pastel background!! Thank you so much for dropping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend!! Brenda
