Love You - Big Beautiful Butterfly

by Brenda Noelke on Mar 04 2024
Hello, friends and happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend!! Brenda here with a bold and colorful card featuring products from the latest February release!! I fell head-over-heels for this butterfly in the Two Big Beautiful Butterfly Die Set and can't stop using it!! I started by die-cutting the top layer of the butterfly in the Two Big Beautiful Butterfly Die Set from black cardstock and the bottom layer from white cardstock. The Layering Flora: Sweet Cherry Blossoms Dies were also die-cut from white cardstock. I used Rainbow Pint-sized Paper Pouncers and Distress Oxide Inks to add color to the die-cuts. I used Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and Peeled Paint. For the background, I die-cut the Garden Lattice A2 Cover Plate Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a white A2 card base. I splattered it with Black Magic Paper Splatter and set it aside to dry. The "love" portion of the sentiment was die-cut three times from black cardstock using the Sara Girl Die Set. They were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue. "You", from the Wreath Building: Greetings From Our Hive Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink and fussy cut. All of the die-cuts were arranged and adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. I adhered a gem from the Day and Night Gem Mix to the center of the flowers and sequins from the All about the Pinks, All About the Yellows and All About the Purples sequin mixes to add a bit of shine. . Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week!! Brenda

Sweet Birthday card featuring Wreath Building Cupcakes for You stamp

by Andrea Shell on Jan 22 2024
Hi there! It's Andrea here sharing my first project for Picket Fence Studios featuring products from their January release. This release has so many wonderful products for creating birthday cards, which I'm sure we as cardmakers need alot of! Those adorable cupcakes are from the Wreath Building Cupcakes for You stamp set. I stamped them with Black Hybrid Ink, starting with the middle cupcake first and then masking it to add the cupcakes on each side. Next, I colored the images with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen. I stamped a sentiment from the set under my cupcakes and diecut the panel with the 2.0" Connected Squares Shaker Creator Dies. I cut the red, scalloped mat with the Slimline Stiched and Scalloped Rectangles and Alpha Die Cutting System and attached my stamped square on top with foam tape. For that colorful background, I used the new 6"x8" Sprinkles Layering Stencils. Looking at my card, I obviously had some of the stencils turned incorrectly as the set is designed to have perfectly spaced sprinkles with no overlap. However, you really can't go wrong with these stencils! To create my background, I placed an A2 panel of white cardstock onto the 5"x6" Paper Inking Palette and applied dye inks with the Bright Rainbow Pint-sized Paper Pouncers. For the fifth and final stencil, I used a palette knife to apply Chocolate Frosting Paper Glaze Luxe. I love the texture and bit of sparkle the glaze gives! Once the panel was dry, I adhered it to a white card and affixed my layered squares with foam tape. Thanks for stopping by! If you haven't already, be sure to check out the January release. There are three projects in today's blog post. They are all Halloween themed and they are all fun. A lot of ink blending, stencil work and not to mention lots of die cutting was done to make them all. Check the post for more details.
