Gray skies bring sunny days card

by Silvana Chambon on Dec 11 2024
Hello, friends! It´s Silvana here from Casa Magnolia. Today, I bring a very sweet card with a message to lift anyone's spirits.  The card features the new Peach and Piper: Bad Weather Friends stamp and coordinating die. The sweetest stamp set! The two friends are sharing an umbrella under a stormy sky. The look of this stormy background was made with a mix of products. For the clouds, I used the new Clouds on the Horizon stamp stamped with a dark blue ink. I blended the same ink with a Life changing blender brush for a softer look. I splattered a few drops of water onto the paper and drops of Paper Splatter Opaque white.  For the grass I used the Tall Grass die.  After the background was done, I cut it with the smallest arch die in the Basic Diecutting Set 1. For the white border, I cut two arch dies together, from the same set. For the blue background I used the A2 Basket Weave Cover Plate die to give it a little more interest.  I Stamped with black ink the sentiment and to finish it up I used some sequins from the new On a midnight dream  Sequin mix.  And that´s my completed card! I hope you like it as much as I did.  Thank you so much for stoping by the blog today.  Have an amazing day. See you in my next post. Silvana.

Sweet Hooray

by Andrea Shell on Nov 26 2024
Hi there! It's Andrea back to share a fun card combining new and previously-released products from Picket Fence Studios. These adorable critters are from the new Peach and Piper: Bad Weather Friends set. That little racoon in the top was the inspiration for this card because to me he looks like he's celebrating (I can just hear him squealing "Hooray!"). After stamping those sweet characters, I colored them with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I added highlights with a white gel pen. How fun is the new On a Cloudy Day 6x8 Stencil? After placing it over a panel of blue cardstock, I applied Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe with a palette knife. I love the soft sheen and fun texture of this glaze! To fill out my scene, I diecut white cardstock with the Scene Building: Grass Tufts Dies and Slim Line Short Tall Grass Die (retired). I applied two shades of green ink to the grass pieces with the Life Changing Blender Brushes. Once my background was dry, I adhered it to a cardbase and glued the grass border on top. I diecut the Hooray Word Die from metallic and white cardstocks and stacked them together on my card. I popped up my critters with foam adhesive, tucking the tufts of grass underneath the racoons. I added a sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon Sightings stamp and finished with some blue sequins from the Taking Off sequin mix. Thanks for stopping by! *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

Thank You for Your Love and Support

by Brenda Noelke on Nov 15 2024
Hello, friends and happy Friday!! Brenda back with you today!! I'm sharing a card created with a few goodies from yesterday's release!! The critters in the Peach and Piper: Bad Weather Friends Stamp Set are just darling!! I created a thank you card that's perfect to send to that special person who is always there to love and support you!! I started by stamping the sentiment and the adorable image from the Peach and Piper: Bad Weather Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, darkened the eyes with a black gel pen, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die, along with the sentiment. For the background, I die-cut the heart cover plate die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set from white cardstock. A panel of pink cardstock was die-cut with the smallest rectangle die in the same die set. The second largest die in the same set was cut from aqua cardstock. The panels were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue. A wide strip of vellum was wrapped around the top and bottom of the panel and adhered to the back with liquid glue. The layers were adhered to an A2 white card base, also using liquid glue. The large "thanks" was die-cut from aqua and black cardstock using the A2 Lots of Thanks Cover Plate Die. They were adhered together, slightly offset and adhered to the front of the card. The critter and sentiment die-cuts were popped up with foam tape. Sequins from the Carnival Day and Taking Off Sequin Mixes finish off the card. I just LOVE everything about this card...the colors, darling critters and that heartfelt sentiment!! Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Be sure to check out the complete release over in the Picket Fence Shop!! Have a wonderful weekend!! Brenda
