Sunny Shaker Card

by Andrea Shell on Feb 11 2025
Hi there! It's Andrea back to share a fun shaker card featuring the Big Piggie Hugs stamp from Picket Fence Studios. This cute piggie and barrel were leftover from last week's card. I colored the images from Big Piggie Hugs with Copics, cut them out with the coordinating dies, and added white highlights. That awesome background is from the Bright and Shiny Day Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts pack, which I trimmed slightly. Using the Basic Die Cutting Set 1 Dies, I created frames from white cardstock and a yellow gingham paper from the Happy Gingham Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts pack. I layered the two frames together and backed them with clear acetate. I glued my colored images onto the background and placed some Pick Me sequin mix on top (Does anyone else struggle with how much filler to use for shaker cards? I either put too much or, in this case, not enough). I adhered my layered frames with foam tape and glued the shaker to a panel of green cardstock, which I affixed to a white cardbase. To create my sentiment, I diecut orange cardstock a few times with the alphabet die from the Pinking Shear A2 Cover Plate Dies. After stacking the letters three times for dimension, I glued my sentiment to the acetate. Thanks for stopping by! *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

Reindeer at Play Interactive card

by Silvana Chambon on Sep 23 2024
Hello, friends, and welcome to the PFS blog! It´s Silvana here and today I want to share with you an interactive card made with some of the new stamps from the September release.  Here´s the completed card: The card shows a slimline scene made with the new Reindeer at play stamp set. I used some older stamps sets like the Scene building: Winter Wonderland trees for the pines and Frolicking winter friends for the snow. Also, I used some Paper splatter for the snow in the sky: the Opaque White and the Liquid White Snowflake .  But the scene is "hidden" so you have to pull out the little tab on the right to see it in full like the photo. You can watch a short video in my Instagram page.  It´s a tricky mechanism which I learned in a scrapbook class meant to be in an album page, but I thought inmediately in a card with it. And I think it works very well! I used the Slimline Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles and Alpha Diecutting system  to make the card background and also the card base: I used the biggest scalloped rectangle and folded it at the middle. The result is an 4 1/4 x 3 1/2" card base. To make the mechanism I used the Happy Gingham Fabulously Glossy Cardstock.  To finish the card I stamped one of the sentiments on black cardstock with embossing ink and white embossing powder. I put a baker´s twine to add an extra detail.  This card has a lot of work and planning: you need to measure exactly and plan where to stamp the images so they don´t get cut in the middle. I did a lot of masking for the scene too that turned out very well.  I hope you liked this card and it inspires you to seek for new alternatives for your interactive cards.  Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. See you in my next post. Have a fantastic week! Silvana

A Little Mermaid Wiper Card

by Heejung Hunsberger on Jan 20 2023
Hello Crafty Friends, I made another wiper card featuring the We are Fishy Lot stamp set, one of January’s releases @Picket Fence Studios. This We are Fishy Lot stamp set is a large version of one mermaid image from the More Fishy Lot stamp set.   The mermaid is one of my favorites so I was so happy to have a bigger size of the mermaid.   This card fits the A2-sized envelope. when the card is folded, you can see the dolphin.   You can see the dolphins when opens it up! I love to make interactive cards with beautiful stamp sets like the We are Fishy Lot Stamp set.   When I made this card first. I didn’t like the blank section when it folded. So I had to add a mirror image to cover it up. See, how looks better with the mirror image!   CARD RECIPE: We are Fishy Lot Stamp set Evan More Fishy Lot Stamp set  We were Mermaid for Me Stamp set  Sun with Ray Stencil 6×6    The wiper card tutorial is below, Wiper Card Tutorial   That’s all for today.
