Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this Christmas card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Stocking Full of Coal Stamps” which I stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad” and then painted with alcohol markers. Then to give the stamps more relief, I used the white Gelly Roll in the areas where I wanted to give shine and the black Micron Pigma in the areas where I wanted to give more depth. For the background I used the “Christmas Whishes Stamps” which I stamped with black ink and also added a strip cut from red cardboard of the "Slimline Scene Building Time for Tea Dies”And for the sentiment I used a phrase from the “Stocking Full of Coal Stamps” that i stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad”.I also added some “Gems mix fire” as decoration. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time!

Bears decorate the tree

by Claudia Cubas on Oct 03 2023
Hi craffty friends, Claudia  here with a new story told with a card. I love animal stories and this one tells of two cuddly bears decorating the Christmas tree. For the night background, I used the Mini Haunted Blending Stencil to draw the moon. The magnificent tree is A2 Giant Christmas Tree Die. The bears are from last year's set A Polar Bear Christmas, one of my favourites. I used the 5x7 Double Stitched Rectangle Dies  to create a white frame. To give the sky a shimmering touch, I used the fantastic new  Paper Splatter Watercolor - Liquid Gold . I hope you enjoy my card and I also hope I have inspired you!   Claudia

Inappropriate Christmas shaker

by Silvana Chambon Scarenzio on Sep 26 2023
Hello, everyone! It´s Silvana here and today I´m sharing with you a fun shaker card made with some products of the September release.  For the background I used one of the new sets of Fabulous Foiling Toner Card Fronts: Christmas Goodies. I chose the one with little gingerbread cookies and foiled it with the new Fabulous Toner Foil in Poinsettia Red color. After I peeled away the foil from the card front, I put the negative foil piece (the piece you obtain after, the one that normally ends in the trash) over a piece of Fabulous Toner Foil Cardstock in Christmas Berries Reds. And that´s how I obtained this shinny and gorgeous background. I saved the first piece for other background. It´s a two for one!  I assemble the Martini shaker die and filled it with the new Sequin Mix Plus Santa´s Cookies. To finish the card I added a sentiment from the new More Inappropriate Christmas sentiments stamp set which I heat embossed in white over black cardstock.  To assemble the card, I used Extra Wide Foam White Rectangles to add dimension to the shiny background. The little snowflake detail was made with a die from the Santa´s Hot Cocoa Mug Die.  I hope you like this card and give a funny and inappropriate Christmas a chance!  Thanks for stoping by.  See you in my next post. Silvana.

Hello and welcome to the Christmas countdown on PFS blog! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this christmas card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Animal Crackers Christmas Wishes" Stamps set that I stamped with "Black Hybrid ink pad" which is perfect for this type of stamps! Then I painted all the images with alcohol markers and then with a white marker I glossed it to make it stand out.  Then i cut out the images using the "Animal Crackers Christmas Wishes" coordinating dies but you can carefully cut them out with scissors if you prefer. Next I prepared the background: for this I used the stamp "My World Revolves Around You" that I also stamped with "Black Hybrid ink pad" and then painted with alcohol markers.  Then I used the "A2 She Said Yes Cover Plate" die to make the frame and painted it with distress oxide inks. For the sentiment I used the "Joy Word Die" that I cut out of metallic red cardstock. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. Don´t forget to come tomorrow for more Christmas inspiration! A huge kiss and until next time! Laura

Hello there! Eugy here and welcome back to The Picket Fence Studios Christmas Countdown! Just 8 days left, so exited! Today I would like to share with you this simple card, which is a great idea for a last minute project! I started this project by creating a background, I used Traditional Christmas Green Paper Glitz and green cardstock to create a tone on tone dimensional background. Have you already seen this new versatile polka dot stencil from the new release? I just love the A Whole Lot of Polka Dots 6x6 Stencil! After I stamped and die-cut the wreath and sentiment, I colored my image with Copics. Here I used the Welcome Winter Wreath stamp and coordinating dies. I really appreciate that there are coordinating dies for sentiments, too. All I have left to do is to assemble everything together. For an even greater tridemensional effect, I added vellum layer under the wreath. I hope you liked this card idea! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

Then I painted all the images with alcohol markers and then with a white marker I glossed it to make it stand out.  Then i cut out the images using the "Frolicking Winter Friends" coordinating dies but you can carefully cut them out with scissors if you prefer. On the other hand, I used the "Jolly Good Rainbow" die and painted each of its parts with Christmas colors. Next I prepared the background: for this I used a white cardboard to which I applied the "Paper Glaze Luxe Artic Fox" along with the "Petals 6x6" stencil. I then glued it onto a black cardstock to create a frame. For the sentiment I used the phrase "Christmas season is magical" on a white cardboard and using black ink. We are counting down the days to Christmas here at Picket Fence Studios by sharing a festive project each day leading up to the 25th. Nancy here with a holly filled card.  After stamping the gorgeous image from the Holly Jolly Christmas set onto Copic friendly cardstock, I cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic markers. For the background panel, I repeated the image by stamping onto a cherry kisses stitched edge cardstock piece using Versamark ink along with the sentiment and white heat embossed both. The stamped die cut was attached to the panel using a combo of glue and foam dimensionals. A few sequins from the Dancing Reindeer set added a bit of tone on tone sparkle. Make sure to drop in each day for more holiday inspiration.

Hey!  Welcome back to the Picket Fence Studios Countdown for Christmas.  I'm Emelie and today I'm going to give you some inspiration on how you can use Seamless Stamps.  I heat embossed the Holiday Traditions Collage stamp. Then I used watercolor over the image. I then cut out the panel with the Double Stitched Layering Rectangle. For my sentiment I gold embossed the To All A Good Night on top of vellum. I cut out the sentiment and placed it on top of my card.    I hope you enjoyed it and were inspired to make some simple Christmas cards 🙂

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Welcome back to the Countdown to Christmas!! Brenda here with a festive, frosty scene card to share with you today featuring the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. I began by stamping the amazing Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. For the background, I die-cut the Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate Die from dark brown cardstock. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock for the snow, added some shading with Copics, then adhered it to an A2 panel of light blue cardstock. The tree was adhered to the background and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I added some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze Velvet with a paintbrush and sprinkled on some clear glitter while it was still wet. I splattered some diluted white gouache onto the background for the snowfall in my winter scene. The sentiment is also from the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The gnome and sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. I added some snow to the gnome with a white gel pen and my scene was finished!!   This Jolly Christmas Gnome has sooooo much character!! I just LOVE him!! Thanks so much for dropping in today!! Have a wonderful Wednesday and be sure to check back each day for more inspiration during the Christmas Countdown!!

Hey!  Welcome back to the Picket Fence Studios Countdown for Christmas.  I'm Emelie and today I'm going to give you some inspiration to create a slimline Christmas card. I started by mixing colors on two panels. One in blue and green, the other in yellow and pink.  On my green blue background, I stamped the Find You Northern Lights in black.  I think it turned out amazing against the green blue colors. I also embossed small silver stars..  With the pink and yellow panel, I used the Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Word Topper Die. I cut it out several times and built up the dimensions on the word. This is a card that is easy to mass produce. I hope you enjoyed it and were inspired to make some simple Christmas cards 🙂

We are counting down the days to Christmas here at Picket Fence Studios by sharing a very merry  project each day leading up to the 25th.  Nancy here today with a Christmas card I actually created back in August. I work on Christmas cards all year long yet some how I still manage to be short when it it is time to address and mail. Does that happen to you?  I stamped the image from the Christmas Hello set which is part of the Animal Crackers line onto Copic friendly cardstock, cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic Markers. I created a simple card background using patterned paper and a metallic cardstock strip. I placed the image onto a patterned paper square and attached to the background panel using craft foam, then added the sentiment also cut with the matching die. A few pieces from the must have Traditional Christmas Candy Mix finished it up. I hope you enjoy some crafty time as we approach Christmas.

Hello all friends and Welcome to The Picket Fence Studios Christmas Countdown!   Christmas is approaching and we want to make sure we have all  the cards needed  for this magical time. I make a list of people to whom I want to give a card, or tags for packages to be prepared, how do you do it? Today I show you this card I made with the no line technique, colored with pencils. I chose this very funny Santa that has a very long list of names, the stamp is Name off the Good  For the background I used  Winter Wonderland Trees to create the landscape , and for the craft paper base and matting, I used the die cut set 5x7 Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Dies I love the stitching and all the different sizes it offers, I find it very useful. I hope you enjoy this inspiration of mine, follow us every day with the Team's Christmas creations!

Happy Holidays From Our Family To Yours cards.

Happy Sunday! Eugy here and today I’m sharing these two Christmas cards I made using non traditional color palette. I started making my cards with background preparation. I blended some distress oxides and added splashes of water and white gouache. The backgrounds turned out to be very cute and delicate, and I wanted to add some contrast. So I collected all my dark-colored materials and started creating.  The base of the first card I cut out with with the second largest die from the 5x7 Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Die set from the November release. After that, I added some dimension using Christmas Ornaments Stencil and the Blackboard Paper Glaze Velvet.  Then I cut out a bow from the Autumn Splendor Fabric Cork Paper for an even greater 3D effect. Oh, how beautiful it turned out! I love diecutted sentimets, here i used one from the An Animal Crackers Christmas Hello stamp set. And as a final touch, I added some sequins from the All about the Galaxy Sequin Mix.  I diecut the base for my second card with an outline die from the Santa's Hot Cocoa Mug Die set and then I diecut the part for the shaker using the Autumn Splendor Fabric Cork Paper. After that I stamped and diecut small images and sentiments from the An Animal Crackers Christmas Hello stamp set. All I had to do to finish the card was to assemble the shaker and fill it with sequins and tiny diecuts. Easy enough, isn't it?  You can find some of the products I use on the Black Friday sale on the site, which ends on November 29. Hope you liked this project.  Happy crafting and have a nice day!

Let It Snow - Frolicking Winter Friends Scene

by Brenda Noelke on Nov 03 2022
Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Brenda here with you today to share a sweet winter scene card featuring the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set!! I began by stamping the adorable mice from the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The background was created by stamping the snow and snowbanks, also from the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock with Black Hybrid Ink. It was also colored with Copic markers. The trees from the Scene Building: Winter Wonderland Trees Stamp Set were stamped several times onto another piece of white cardstock with Black Hybrid Ink. They were also colored with Copics, fussy cut and adhered to the background with liquid glue. I splattered the panel with diluted white gouache and brushed some Sparkle Paper Glitz onto the trees and snow with a paintbrush. Once it was dry, I trimmed it slightly, then adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock, then a white card base. The Let It Snow Word Die was cut once from red cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together with the red layer on top. I added some Snowfall Paper Velvet to the top edges of the letters with a palette knife. Once dry, it was adhered to the top of the card with liquid glue. The sweet mice were popped up with foam adhesive and I was finished. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by!! Have a great day!!

Santa Scene Card

by Brenda Noelke on Oct 13 2022
Hello, Picket Fence friends!! I hope this finds you all well!! I love sending funny Christmas cards to friends who have a good sense of humor!! When I saw the Name Off the Good List Stamp Set, I knew immediately who I would send it to!! I LOVE when that happens!! Let’s get to my card!! I began by stamping the Santa and sentiment from Name Off the Good List onto white cardstock with black hybrid ink. I colored Santa with Copic markers, then cut it and the sentiment out with the Coordinating Dies. For the background, I die-cut the A2 Evergreens On a Hill Cover Plate Die from heavyweight white cardstock. I mixed Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze with a bit of Sparkle Paper Glitz and spread it onto the bottom of the panel with a palette knife. I added some Leaf Green Paper Glaze to the trees with my finger, to create some texture. Once that was dry, I adhered it to an A2 size panel of dark blue cardstock, then a white card base. I diluted some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze and splattered it onto the background with a paint brush. That dried pretty quickly, then I adhered Santa and the sentiment with foam tape. The snowflakes are from the Letters to Santa Mix and were the perfect finishing touch for my scene!! I love how this turned out!! How about you…do you like humorous or traditional cards for Christmas? I like to tailor them to the recipient and, like I said, I have the perfect person in mind for this one! Thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Tomorrow is the 14th and you know what that means…it’s RELEASE DAY!! YAY!! Have a great Thursday!! Brenda

Seasonal Christmas Flowers

by Theary Chea on Oct 03 2022
Hello friends,I am so excited to be back on the blog again today. For today’s project, I am sharing a Christmas card that was inspired by one of the most well-known Christmas flowers of all time. And that is the flower, Poinsettias. Every year during Christmas, I fill my home with this flower. It’s just so beautiful, and it smells so wonderful. I was excited when the shop released the Seasonal Christmas Flowers stamp set. I knew I needed to create a card with it.     I colored the Poinsettias using Copic markers and gave them highlights using a white gel pen. For the background, I love creating a monotone effect using the wonderful Paper Glaze Velvet in the color Winter Snowfall. I applied the paper glaze onto white card stock using Winter Rings Stencil with my Mix Media Spatulas.     To add subtle interest to the card design, I added More Ash Leaves that I die-cut out of vellum. I adhered the flowers and leaves onto the card panel using a combination of foam squares and liquid adhesive.   The sentiment is from the Swanky Christmas Sentiment stamp set. I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock using black ink and used the coordinating dies to cut a few out of white card stock to layer it up to create dimension.   And to finish off the card, I adhered the card panel onto a matted gold rectangle and adhered it to a top folding card base. Added a few embellishments to the card panel, and that’s it!I hope you found some inspiration and got crafty in your craft room. Until next time!Have a wonderfully blessed day,Theary Chea
