Hello, Picket Fence friends and happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a festive Christmas card featuring the Cheerful Winter Gnomes Stamp Set and the A Snowy Breeze 6x8 Stencil!! I love using unconventional colors for holiday cards, and this is the perfect example!! I began by stamping one of the gnomes from the Cheerful Winter Gnomes Stamp Set onto white cardstock using PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. For the background, I blended Wilted Violet and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock with blender brushes. I spread Seasonal Holiday Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe through the A Snowy Breeze 6x8 Stencil onto the panel with a palette knife, then set it aside to dry. Once dry, I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 white card base. The arch was cut from vellum using a die in the Basic Die Cutting Die Set 1. The gnome was adhered to the vellum with foam tape. The sentiment, from the Signature Quotes: Christmastime Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was also adhered to the arch with foam tape, then liquid glue was added to the back of the vellum behind the die-cuts only and added to the front of the card. Snowflakes from the Jingle All the Way Sequin Mix were the perfect finishing touch. I just adore this little guy all decked out for the holidays!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful Wednesday!! Brenda

Happy Tuesday, PFS friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! Brenda here with a Christmas card combining products from the newest September release with the wagon from the Autumn Bountiful Beauty Stamp Set from last month!! I began by stamping the wagon from Autumn Bountiful Beauty and the flowers from the Winter Blooms stamp sets onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, then used the  Autumn Bountiful Beauty and  Winter Blooms coordinating dies to cut them out. I added dots to the centers of the flowers with a gold gel pen. For the background, I die-cut the Simple Plaid Cover Plate Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a white card base. The wagon and floral die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue. Next, I die-cut the "merry" from the Merry Christmas Word Die Set one time from gold glitter cardstock and twice from heavyweight white cardstock. "Christmas" was cut once from red cardstock and two times from heavyweight white cardstock using the same die set. All the die-cut layers were adhered together, then adhered to the background using liquid glue. I added gems from the North Pole Gem Mix to the center of each wheel, as well as a trio to the upper right area of the background to complete the card. That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Brenda

Seasonal Christmas Flowers Poinsettia Cards

by Brenda Noelke on Sep 22 2022
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda here with my first blog post as a member of the talented & amazing design team!! I’m super excited to be able to share some of my creations with Picket Fence products!! I’ve always been a huge fan!! I’ve really been enjoying creating with the latest September release!! One of the first sets that caught my eye was the stunning Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set!! The poinsettia is such an iconic holiday symbol and I couldn’t wait to color these!! I began by stamping all of the images in the Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set with Black Hybrid Ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I cut them out with the Coordinating Die Set. I’ve always loved the contrast of black with bright red poinsettias, so I trimmed a panel of black cardstock to 4” x 5.25”. I adhered the leaves and holly with liquid glue and popped the poinsettias up with foam tape. I diluted some Snowdrop White Glaze with water and splattered it over the panel and poinsettias with a paint brush.   Once that was dry, I adhered it to a panel of white cardstock, then an A2 panel of red cardstock, before adhering it to my card base. The sentiments, from the Swanky Christmas Sentiment Set, were white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I love these fonts!! They were also popped up with foam tape. For the finishing touches, I dotted some Golden Sparkle Paper Glitz onto the centers of the poinsettias with a stylus and added a combination of Dancing Reindeer & A Classic Christmas sequin mixes.   Thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great Thursday and I’ll see you soon!! Brenda

Monochromatic Christmas Cards

by Sandi MacIver on Jul 30 2021
Monochromatic Christmas cards: Hey cardmaking friends, welcome back.  Sandi MacIver here with a little Christmas Card inspiration for you today. Christmas in July seems to be the theme all over the cardmaking world this month.  It's a great time to start mass producing those holiday cards before life gets super hectic. I was playing with some of the new products in this month's release and came up with two Monochromatic Christmas Cards that are great for mass producing.  They are also flat, so no extra postage required...that's a big deal when you are sending out a lot of cards right?   How to create the Monochromatic Christmas Cards: Under NEW in the stencil department you will find Winter Forest Scenery Stencil and Arctic Winter 6 x 6 stencil. Combine the two with a nice juicy "Kraft" ink Pad to create these simple holiday cards. To add some bling, gold emboss the deer from the Joyeau Noel stamp set and mat the art piece with gold mirror cardstock. Finally, embellish with the Sands of Time Gem Mix.  These are super high quality gems, they are cut like diamonds.  They also have multi colors in them so they really glimmer.      Next, the exact same layout, but flipped sideways.    I couldn't resist that little bird stamp from the Joyeau Noel stamp set, he deserves his very own card.....same instructions as last card.  This time I added the gems over the leaves on the branch. Card Recipe: Base:  White 4-1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2", (bird card), 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 4-1/4". Art Piece:  white 2-3/4 x 4" Gold Mat:  Gold Foil paper 2-7/8 x 4-1/8 Hope you enjoyed my quick and easy Monochromatic Christmas Cards today and will give these a try. Until next time, Happy Stamping and get working on those holiday cards, LOL.   Here are the products used for today's cards.  Affiliate links used wherever possible at no additional cost to you.
