If You Were A Carrot, I'd Always Pick You
by Brenda Noelke on Feb 07 2025

Happy Friday, fellow crafters and card makers!! Brenda back with you today!! I fell head-over-heels for the sweet Big Piggie Hugs Stamp Set from the January release!! I adore these sweet pigs with their veggies!!
I started like I do with most of my cards, by stamping the Big Piggie Hugs images and sentiment onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink and coloring them with Copic markers. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. (Get the stamp & die in a bundle and save 10%!)
For the background, I die-cut one of the panels in the Spring Gardening Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Front Pack with the third largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Cover Plate Dies Set. The white panel was cut with the second largest die in the same set and the largest die was used to cut the orange panel. They were stacked and adhered together, then added to a white cardbase using liquid glue. These Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts make creating a scene sooooo easy and I love the thin matted layers you get with the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Coverplate Dies Set!!
The small veggies and the basket were adhered to the background with liquid glue and the piggie and sentiment were popped up with foam tape. I added a little shine to the eyes and nose of the pig with a black gel pen and this card was finished.
That's it!! This card came together in a snap, but it looks like I put a lot of time into it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a fabulous weekend and I'll see you next week with the NEW February release!! It's soooooo good!!

Happy Easter - Peach & Piper: Easter Adventures
by Brenda Noelke on Jan 31 2025
Happy Friday, fellow card makers!! I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!! Brenda here with a sweet Easter card featuring the adorable Peach & Piper: Easter Adventures Stamps & Coordinating Dies, along with a few other goodies from the January release!!
I began by stamping the images from the Peach & Piper: Easter Adventures Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. (Save 10% when you purchase the stamps & dies together here.) I used a black gel pen to darken the eyes and noses of the critters.
Next, I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto a panel of white cardstock using Life Changing Blender Brushes. I blended Mowed Lawn Distress Ink onto the bottom of the panel using the grass stencil in the Scene Building A2 Stencil Set: Layers of Adventure. The clouds, from the same stencil set, were added to the sky using Incandescent Paper Glaze. The panel was die-cut with the third largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangles and Cover Plate Die Set. It was adhered with liquid glue to a pink panel of cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the same die set. The darling Peach & Piper die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue.
For the sentiment, I spread a thin layer of the lightest shade of pink glaze in the Pink Ombre Haze Paper Glaze Sampler onto a panel of white cardstock. Once it was dry, I die-cut it, along with two more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, using the Happy Easter Word Die. The layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue, then added to the bottom of the panel. Bunny shaped embellishments from the Bunny Bop Sequin Mix Plus Mix and small iridescent sequins from the Blissful Beauties Sequin Mix Plus Mix were the perfect finishing touch.
These bunnies and chicks are having so much fun at the Easter egg hunt!!
That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Have a terrific weekend!!

Hello, Picket Fence friends and happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! Brenda here with a card featuring the adorable Freckle Friends: Climbing Calliope Stamp Set and the A2 Cloud Peek A Boo Cover Plate Die!!
I started by stamping the darling girl in the hot air balloon, clouds, banners and birds in the Freckle Friends: Climbing Calliope Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored it with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.
For the background, I die-cut the A2 Cloud Peek A Boo Cover Plate Die from white cardstock and blended a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink onto it using a blender brush. I blended the same ink onto another panel of white cardstock and adhered the A2 Cloud Peek A Boo Cover Plate die-cut over it using liquid glue. The Copic-colored die-cut images were adhered, also using liquid adhesive.
The sentiment, also from the Freckle Friends: Climbing Calliope Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. A combination of Carnival Day and Taking Off sequin mixes finish off the card.

Hi friends!
I admire cordmakers that can create an amazing scene on their card, but I have never been able to acquire that knack. So today I want to share my way of creating a scene card that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out! Let's get started! The products that I'll be using for my card are the Floating Dreams stamp, The Right Pair of Boots stamp, Simple Plaid stencil, Basic Die Cutting Set 1, and Swanky Friendship sentiment stamp.
First, I wanted to create a wallpaper scene that you'd find in a home, so I stamped Floating Dreams stamp in black ink onto a white 5.5x4.25 card panel. Then I inked the panel in shades of yellow, moving from light in the center to darker at the edge of the card panel. I felt like the yellow resembled soft lighting reflecting from a window at dusk.
Next, I focused on the window frame using Basic Die Cutting Set 1.
I die cut the set onto a white and black card panel. I used the white card panel for the windowpanes and the black panel for the frame around the panes. The black represents the outside of the house, so to make it look a bit more realistic, I stenciled white ink onto the black panel using Simple Plaid stencil. I adhered both pieces over the wallpaper panel created earlier. I had intended to add clear acetate behind the paned windows to represent glass, but I forgot. Oh well!
The final step was to create a cozy flower box beneath the window! I stamped a sentiment from Swanky Friendships onto the white window box die and then adhered it onto the card panel with foam tape. Then I stamped, colored, and die cut several flowers from The Right Pair of Boots stamp (they were the perfect size) and tucked them in behind the flower box! I finished with glossy accents over the flower stamins!
It was so easy to create this cozy scene, and it works to bring us to a place of warmth and fondness! Grab your Picket Fence goodies and see what you can come up with for a good scene!!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! How’s your week going? I hope it’s going well!! I’m sharing a sweet card today that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!!
I began by stamping the adorable whale from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the whale with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.
For the background, I masked off the sky and blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink onto the bottom of panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with Life Changing Blending Brushes for the sea. I splattered it with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I removed the mask and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide onto the sky, also with a blending brush. The Scene Building: Sand Stamp was stamped onto Kraft cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I repositioned the stamp and stamped it again with white pigment ink, then added some shading with the brown ink and a blending brush. Once the ink was dry, I trimmed it by hand and adhered it to the bottom of the ink-blended panel. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock, then to a white top-folding card base.
The sentiment, also from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die. I also stamped a couple of hearts from the Somebunny Loves You Stamp Set with red ink and cut those out with their Coordinating Dies. The whale, sentiment and hearts were all popped up with foam adhesive and this card was finished.
Such a simple and sweet card to show your love!!
Thank you so much for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great one!!

Christmas Countdown - Jolly Christmas Gnome Scene
by Brenda Noelke on Dec 07 2022

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Welcome back to the Countdown to Christmas!! Brenda here with a festive, frosty scene card to share with you today featuring the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set.
I began by stamping the amazing Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out.
For the background, I die-cut the Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate Die from dark brown cardstock. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock for the snow, added some shading with Copics, then adhered it to an A2 panel of light blue cardstock. The tree was adhered to the background and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I added some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze Velvet with a paintbrush and sprinkled on some clear glitter while it was still wet. I splattered some diluted white gouache onto the background for the snowfall in my winter scene.
The sentiment is also from the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The gnome and sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. I added some snow to the gnome with a white gel pen and my scene was finished!!
This Jolly Christmas Gnome has sooooo much character!! I just LOVE him!!
Thanks so much for dropping in today!! Have a wonderful Wednesday and be sure to check back each day for more inspiration during the Christmas Countdown!!
