Hello, Picket Fence friends and happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a festive Christmas card featuring the Cheerful Winter Gnomes Stamp Set and the A Snowy Breeze 6x8 Stencil!! I love using unconventional colors for holiday cards, and this is the perfect example!! I began by stamping one of the gnomes from the Cheerful Winter Gnomes Stamp Set onto white cardstock using PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. For the background, I blended Wilted Violet and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock with blender brushes. I spread Seasonal Holiday Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe through the A Snowy Breeze 6x8 Stencil onto the panel with a palette knife, then set it aside to dry. Once dry, I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 white card base. The arch was cut from vellum using a die in the Basic Die Cutting Die Set 1. The gnome was adhered to the vellum with foam tape. The sentiment, from the Signature Quotes: Christmastime Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was also adhered to the arch with foam tape, then liquid glue was added to the back of the vellum behind the die-cuts only and added to the front of the card. Snowflakes from the Jingle All the Way Sequin Mix were the perfect finishing touch. I just adore this little guy all decked out for the holidays!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful Wednesday!! Brenda

Happy Tuesday, PFS friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! Brenda here with a Christmas card combining products from the newest September release with the wagon from the Autumn Bountiful Beauty Stamp Set from last month!! I began by stamping the wagon from Autumn Bountiful Beauty and the flowers from the Winter Blooms stamp sets onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, then used the  Autumn Bountiful Beauty and  Winter Blooms coordinating dies to cut them out. I added dots to the centers of the flowers with a gold gel pen. For the background, I die-cut the Simple Plaid Cover Plate Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a white card base. The wagon and floral die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue. Next, I die-cut the "merry" from the Merry Christmas Word Die Set one time from gold glitter cardstock and twice from heavyweight white cardstock. "Christmas" was cut once from red cardstock and two times from heavyweight white cardstock using the same die set. All the die-cut layers were adhered together, then adhered to the background using liquid glue. I added gems from the North Pole Gem Mix to the center of each wheel, as well as a trio to the upper right area of the background to complete the card. That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! Brenda

Let's Have Some Christmas Fun

by Brenda Noelke on Sep 16 2024
Hello, crafty friends and happy new week!! Brenda here with a mini slimline Christmas card to share featuring the adorable Reindeer at Play Stamps & Coordinating Dies, as well as several other goodies from Saturday's September Release!! I began by stamping the reindeer from the darling Reindeer at Play Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. For the background, I spread Holly Leaf Green Paper Glaze Luxe through the Tree Farm Stencil onto a panel of white cardstock with a palette knife. Once it was dry, I trimmed the panel slightly smaller than mini slimline size and adhered it to a slimline panel of red cardstock.  The "Christmastime" sentiment was die-cut from red cardstock one time and heavyweight white cardstock twice using the Christmastime He's the Reason for the Season Word Die Set. The layers were adhered together using liquid glue. The sub-sentiment is from the Reindeer at Play Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. All the die-cuts were arranged and adhered to the background with liquid glue. A couple of candy clay pieces from the Oh, What Fun Sequin Mix Plus added to each side of the sub-sentiment finishes off the card. How sweet are those little reindeer?!? Soooooo cute!! Thanks so much for spending part of your Monday with me!! Have a great week and I'll see you soon!! Brenda

Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with a holiday card featuring several products from the latest release!! The A Christmas Hello Stamp Set is one of my faves!! I started by stamping the A Christmas Hello Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I knew that I wanted to use one of the papers from the Holiday Traditions Foiling Toner Cardstock Pack for my background, so I colored the bird with neutral colors of Copics, then fussy cut it out. For the background, I trimmed a piece of paper from the Holiday Traditions Foiling Toner Cardstock Pack slightly smaller than A2. Although this toner paper is made to be used with foil, I loved it as the background for this beautiful bird. I spread Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe onto a panel of white cardstock with a palette knife. Once it was dry, I die-cut the More Winter Snowflakes Dies from it and adhered them to the background panel. I trimmed the excess from the edges, then adhered it to an A2 card base. The bird was then adhered with liquid adhesive. The sentiment is from the Mistletoe Kisses Stamp Set. I stamped it onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink, fussy cut it out and popped it up with foam tape. I chose some iridescent snowflakes from the Christmas Flurries Sequin Mix and adhered those to the background to complete the card. This card has so much sparkle and shine, between the iridescent sequins and the paper glaze, it really packs a punch!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great Tuesday!! Brenda

The Christmas Countdown continues with 12 days to go!!! Michelle here, excited to share a snowflake shaker card today. Here are a list of supplies I used: Snowflake Crystal Die Snowflake Frost Die Swanky Christmas Sentiments Swanky Christmas Sentiments Coordinating Die Slim Line Die Cutting System- Scallop Frames Shaker Sheets Sequin Mix Plus- Plum Pudding This card is pretty simple to create thanks to the shaker pouches. I trimmed white cardstock for the base the same size as the Slim Line Scallop Frame. I die cut the Slim Line Scallop Frame using navy cardstock. I used both the die cut scallop frame and the rectangle panel. I trimmed the shaker pouch slightly larger than the rectangle panel. Place the die cut panel inside the pouch and secure closed one side. Leaving one side open, sprinkle some sequin mix plus. Secure the pouch tight.  Adhere the shaker panel to the card base. Adhere the scallop frame with foam tape. Die cut the snowflakes with white cardstock and adhere them to the corners. Trim the over hang. Stamp and die cut the sentiment. Adhere to the center of the card. Scatter some more sequins. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have been enjoying the countdown! Michelle

Hello, friends and welcome back for another day of Christmas Countdown inspiration!! Brenda here with a winter stenciled and die-cut card!! I absolutely LOVE snowflakes and couldn’t wait to use the Falling Snowflakes Stencil with some Paper Glaze!!   I usually start with the focal point when I sit down to create a card, but in this case I started with the background. I spread Turquoise Jewelry Paper Glaze Luxe onto heavyweight white cardstock through the Falling Snowflakes Stencil with a palette knife. I also spread some Pink Tinsel Paper Glaze Velvet onto another panel of heavyweight white cardstock. I set the two panels aside to dry.  Once they were dry, I trimmed the snowflake panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 white card base. I die-cut the Let It Snow Word Die from the pink panel and cut it two more times from heavyweight white cardstock. I stacked and adhered the white layers together, adhered them behind the pink one, slightly offset, then added them to the center of the card.  A snowflake was die-cut from white glitter cardstock using a die from the Jolly Good Rainbow Die Set. I adhered it in the center of the “o”, then stacked an iridescent and clay snowflake from the Candied Snow Sequin Mix Plus on top. I love this color combo!! I wish you could see all of the sparkle and texture!! Thank you so much for hanging out with me for a bit!! Have a wonderful day!!

Hey!  Welcome back to the Picket Fence Studios Countdown for Christmas.  I'm Emelie and today I'm going to give you some inspiration on how you can use Seamless Stamps.  I heat embossed the Holiday Traditions Collage stamp. Then I used watercolor over the image. I then cut out the panel with the Double Stitched Layering Rectangle. For my sentiment I gold embossed the To All A Good Night on top of vellum. I cut out the sentiment and placed it on top of my card.    I hope you enjoyed it and were inspired to make some simple Christmas cards 🙂

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Welcome back to the Countdown to Christmas!! Brenda here with a festive, frosty scene card to share with you today featuring the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. I began by stamping the amazing Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. For the background, I die-cut the Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate Die from dark brown cardstock. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock for the snow, added some shading with Copics, then adhered it to an A2 panel of light blue cardstock. The tree was adhered to the background and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I added some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze Velvet with a paintbrush and sprinkled on some clear glitter while it was still wet. I splattered some diluted white gouache onto the background for the snowfall in my winter scene. The sentiment is also from the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The gnome and sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. I added some snow to the gnome with a white gel pen and my scene was finished!!   This Jolly Christmas Gnome has sooooo much character!! I just LOVE him!! Thanks so much for dropping in today!! Have a wonderful Wednesday and be sure to check back each day for more inspiration during the Christmas Countdown!!

Hey!  Welcome back to the Picket Fence Studios Countdown for Christmas.  I'm Emelie and today I'm going to give you some inspiration to create a slimline Christmas card. I started by mixing colors on two panels. One in blue and green, the other in yellow and pink.  On my green blue background, I stamped the Find You Northern Lights in black.  I think it turned out amazing against the green blue colors. I also embossed small silver stars..  With the pink and yellow panel, I used the Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Word Topper Die. I cut it out several times and built up the dimensions on the word. This is a card that is easy to mass produce. I hope you enjoyed it and were inspired to make some simple Christmas cards 🙂

Seasonal Christmas Flowers Poinsettia Cards

by Brenda Noelke on Sep 22 2022
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda here with my first blog post as a member of the talented & amazing design team!! I’m super excited to be able to share some of my creations with Picket Fence products!! I’ve always been a huge fan!! I’ve really been enjoying creating with the latest September release!! One of the first sets that caught my eye was the stunning Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set!! The poinsettia is such an iconic holiday symbol and I couldn’t wait to color these!! I began by stamping all of the images in the Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set with Black Hybrid Ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I cut them out with the Coordinating Die Set. I’ve always loved the contrast of black with bright red poinsettias, so I trimmed a panel of black cardstock to 4” x 5.25”. I adhered the leaves and holly with liquid glue and popped the poinsettias up with foam tape. I diluted some Snowdrop White Glaze with water and splattered it over the panel and poinsettias with a paint brush.   Once that was dry, I adhered it to a panel of white cardstock, then an A2 panel of red cardstock, before adhering it to my card base. The sentiments, from the Swanky Christmas Sentiment Set, were white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I love these fonts!! They were also popped up with foam tape. For the finishing touches, I dotted some Golden Sparkle Paper Glitz onto the centers of the poinsettias with a stylus and added a combination of Dancing Reindeer & A Classic Christmas sequin mixes.   Thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great Thursday and I’ll see you soon!! Brenda

Magical Christmas Shaker!

by Sasha Omoniala on Sep 15 2022
Hello Lovely Crafty Friends, I am Sasha and I am so very honoured to be bringing you this blog post. This is my first time on the blog so please bare with me. I am OBSESSED with shaker cards, honestly I can’t get enough of them!I am equally obsessed with the Picket Fence Studios sequin mixes so a card that features both is perfect! Make sure to check out the reel on the PFS Instagram to get a better idea of this   I like to call this type of shaker a floating edge shaker because it is fully transparent, let me know in the comments if you think it should be called something else.I started off by taking a DL plastic card/poly bag. The bag measures 10.5’ long x 4.5’ wide. I cut the card bag down to 6’ long, the width remains the same. I then cut a 6’ long x 4.5’ wide piece of acetate which will go inside the poly bag to add stability. TIP: if the acetate piece doesn’t fit inside the bag, just cut a sliver of it off. I splattered the acetate with white acrylic paint then I stuck down a few sequins from the gorgeous plum pudding mix. Whilst that dried, I took a 5’ x 7’ card base and used the A2 Evergreens on a Hill cover plate to cut the card base down to about 4’ long. I then cut out 4 other die cuts of this cover plate. I ink blended 2 of the die cuts with some Prize ribbon and Wilted Violet distress oxides to create some snowy To assemble the card, I put the acetate into the poly bag then added a bit of the plum pudding sequins before sealing it with double sided tape. I then stuck it down to the  inside of the back part of the card base. To cover the tape,  I stuck down one of the 4 cover plate panels over the taped area. To the front of the card I took a Santa’s Sleigh Ride snow globe die cut and cut it up so that the sleigh was separate from the houses. I stuck the houses down on the bottom part of the card, in front of the white trees then I propped up the ink blended panel on some foam tape and stuck that over I finished the card off with the ink blended greetings die cut on the front the snowy trees and the ink blended sleigh over the acetate. I think this is a fun way to create a shaker card. It’s so super light and not bulky at all but most importantly it is magical with all those beautiful sequins! There will be a reel over on the PFS Instagram showing another example of an edge shaker and a Full Video Tutorial on my YouTube channel LOVE BUIlDS UP CRAFTS on Friday. Hope to see you there!  Crafty hugs, Sasha x

It's New Release Day

by Sandi MacIver on Dec 14 2021

Hey cardmaking friends.  Sandi MacIver here and today I'm sharing Christmas Cardmaking in GOLD.  Today is the Picket Fence Studio December Release - WHOO HOO.  So many fun new products, but I used just ONE of the new products in today's card. The NEW, Lots of Blossoms Stencil and I'm going to share with you how I created this beautiful card using just one stencil. It's super simple, fast and easy and you can use this technique on any type of card for any celebration. Check the end of the post for clickable thumbnail images for the entire new release that goes live today. I had so much fun creating this card, but my OCD kicked in, and I had to exactly line up those crazy petals, LOL.  It's a simple hinge technique so let's get started.   How to create my Christmas Cardmaking in GOLD Card: Start by using the Lots of Blossoms 6 x 6 stencil to dry emboss the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 mirror gold background. Place that down on your grid paper and trace around it with a pencil. Lay the stencil over it, line up the blossoms, and then tape the stencil to the grid paper on one side with some washi tape - creating a hinge. Next, take a piece of black cardstock also 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, place a small amount of adhesive on the back, and attach it inside the outline you traced. Flip the stencil back over the cardstock and secure it on all sides. Use a Picket Fence Studios Spatula to add Paper Glaze Ombre - Santa's Favorite Colors 2, through the stencil onto the black cardstock. Remove the stencil and clean it immediately and let the Paper Glaze dry. Flip the piece over, and using your grid paper, draw pencil lines where you want to cut the tree.  I took an inch from each side, up to the center at the top.  if you want a wider tree, take less than an inch on each side. Cut on the lines, flip the tree back over and use foam squares to attach it to your card, lining up the florals. Adding the Sentiment to your card: Use the Picket Fence Studios Fancy Christmas Sentiments and Dies to Gold emboss a sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and then cut it out with the coordinating die. Attach it across the tree, near the bottom with Foam Squares. Finally, embellish the tree with Sands of Time Gem Mix.   Here is the entire December Picket Fence Studios Release: Here is today's entire new release .  Compensated affiliate links used  where available at no cost to you. When you click on a thumbnail link and shop you are supporting my website allowing me to continue bringing you new projects and videos.  Thank you. Thanks so much for stopping in and I hope you enjoyed my card share.

Clean And Simple, And FAST, Holiday Cards with Erica

HI guys! It's Erica with you today for your daily dose of 25 Days Of Christmas Inspiration!  If, like me, you are not that great at getting your Christmas cards done early, you might be looking at a classic design that's easy to mass-produce. The cards I'm sharing today are perfect for just this!  I have used the gorgeous Christmas Poinsettia Star stamp and heat embossed it with gold on white card stock. This was then trimmed down a little bit and adhered to a white card base.  The sentiment is also heat embossed, in gold of course, and this is from the For The Holidays stamp set.  Easy Peasy, and mass-produce-able in a jiffy!  Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
