Hello, fellow crafters and happy Tuesday!! Brenda here with a floral friendship card featuring lots of goodies from yesterday's brand new release!!
I started off by stamping the beautiful bouquet from the Beauty Found In A Vase Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored it with Copic markers, added dots to the centers of some of the flowers with a yellow gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out (bundle here).
For the background, I white heat embossed the Polka Dot Flora background stamp onto yellow cardstock. It was die-cut with the second largest rectangle die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangles and Cover Plate Die Set. It was adhered to a panel of bright pink cardstock that was cut out with the largest rectangle die in the same set. The floral vase was adhered with liquid glue.
The top layer of the Friend Stacked Word Die was die-cut with bright pink cardstock once and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was cut from vellum. All the layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue. "Thinking of you", from the Vintage Heart Stamp Set, was white heat embossed on vellum and cut out with the Coordinating Die (bundle here). It was adhered across the "friend" die-cut, hiding the liquid glue behind the embossed letters. A sprinkling of sequins from the All About the Pinks Sequin Mix finishes off the card.
I absolutely love all of these new goodies from the latest release!! I can't wait to share more of the new release with you!!

Hello there, Lisa here today with a card featuring some stencilling and a Beautiful Girl. The girl in question today is Jordan Girl and I thought I would pair her with the Floral Stencil. Isn't she just so pretty? I am a huge fan of the Beautiful Girls range - I love to colour them.
First off I stamped Jordan Girl onto some Neenah 80lb cardstock using Black Hybrid Ink. I coloured her with Copics (marker numbers are listed at the end) and then die cut her with the coordinating die.
It's been a while since I had the Floral Stencil out and I thought it would make a pretty background for Jordan. So I masked off a small section at the bottom of my white panel and then taped the stencil down over the top with low tack tape. Using Life Changing Blender Brushes, I blended Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw Distress Oxides through it. I removed the stencil and the masking tape and then cut a small thin strip of white cardstock which would act as a sort of line between the stencilled section and the plain white section at the bottom. I stuck that down with wet adhesive and then I adhered Jordan over the top (she slightly spans the white line). She was also added flat onto the panel.
To finish I took the Always word die and cut the shadow in white and the word in black and glued them together. I added some foam tape onto the back and propped it up at a slant (to mirror Jordan's neck line). I spent an obscene amount of time deciding on the sentiment and it's placement! But I like a quirkly slant on a card so I went with it in the end. I am so slow when making cards! I added a few Black Russian Sequins to finish the card off.

Elegant cards with Paper Glaze Enhancer by Erica

It's Erica back on the Picket Fence Studios blog today, with a couple of elegant celebration cards.
Have you heard about the Paper Glaze Enhancer? It's a super cool new thing, that will take your Paper Glazes to a whole new level and give you so many more options to use them. It works by taking down the shine of the Paper Glaze, and it goes kind of matte, which is a fab look. Plus, depending on how much Paper Glaze Enhancer you add, it will stretch your stock of Paper Glaze even further.
For these two cards I have mixed 50/50 Paper Glaze Enhancer with Golden Rose. I have also used the same stencil, and both backgrounds were basically made at the same time by using a, if I may say so myself, awesome technique that I have been working on for a while now. It's a simple concept, but gives you two backgrounds in one go basically. You start by adding your Paper Glaze, with or without the enhancer, to a background through your choice of stencil. For these cards I have used the Floral 6x6 stencil. Then either place another piece of card stock on top of all of this, without removing the stencil first, and "print" by firmly pressing the card stock down.
That's your first print! After removing this, you can either take off the stencil and leave the Paper Glaze textured, or use a spatula to smooth it all out again, before removing the stencil. For these I have actually gotten a third print done, by placing yet another piece of card stock on top of the stencil and printing the negative print by picking up the leftover Paper Glaze from that! Cool, huh?? I know, I don't get out much these days so it doesn't take much to excite me, lol!
When these were completely dry, I cut them down with a scalloped rectangle die to add some interest around the edges, before adhering them to a white card base each.
As these are so simple, yet elegant, I decided to use the Fancy Congratulations Sentiments, with their coordinating dies, to finish them off. I heat embossed a couple of the sentiments in Rich Gold and Rose Gold, before cutting them out and adhering them on top of the cards.
I was contemplating bling, I'm not going to lie... However, at the time of making these I managed to resist the temptation. Although, before I send these out, who knows, a few Fire Gems might make their way onto these!
