You Were Meant to Stand Out

Hello, crafty friends and happy Wednesday!! I hope you’re having a great week!! I have a monochromatic slimline card to share with you today featuring goodies from the latest April Release!! I started by stamping the amazing flamingo and sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingos Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the flamingo with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut her and the sentiment out. For the background, I applied Pink Magnolia Paper Glaze Luxe to a panel of pink cardstock with a palette knife using the Lots Of Blossoms 6x8 Stencil. Once it was dry, I die cut it, along with a panel of white cardstock using dies from the Slim Line Nested Rectangles Die Set. Both panels were adhered to a white slimline card base. The flamingo and sentiment die-cuts were popped up with foam tape. Lots of pink iridescent sequins from the Butterfly Bush Embellishment Mix were the perfect finishing touch. Happy Mother's Day!

Hi crafty friends, today I show you a card dedicated to Mother's Day, with these tender whales colored with the no-line technique.For the background I used the Slim Line Horizontal Rays of Sun Stencil and shaded the inks with the help of Paper Pouncers, ideal with the stencil. Then I colored the whales from the stamp sets Even More of a Fishy Lot and A Fishy Lot and for the seabed, I chose this fantastic stamp set Things On The Sea Floor. I decorated the shaker card with Sequin Mix - All about the Teals The sentiment Happy Mother's Day Word Die , completes my card, both from the April release. I hope you enjoy it! Claudia

Royal Sweetpeas Slimline Card

Hello Crafty Friends, I made a slimline card featuring the Royal Sweetpeas Stamp set @Picket Fence Studios. I love this stamp design, and it is perfect for the slimline card. I used the Nested Rectangle Dies on this card. I want to make the flower image stand out using a dark color rectangle at the back of the image. I colored the image with Copic markers. BIRTHDAY SLIMLINE SHAKER

Hello and welcome to the Picket Fence Studios blog. It´s Silvana here and today I wanted to share with you this birthday slimline shaker card featuring some of the last release products. Let´s start with the fun background. It´s made with the new Presents for all Seasons seamless stamp with white embossing. Then, I inkblended with a combo of Distress Oxides inks with the help of the Life Changing Blender Brushes. To create the shaker I used the Shaker sheets and the new Birthday Hearts embellishments. The sentiment is made with the Slimline Happy Birthday word die which I colored with the help of the new Paper Pouncers. It was an easy job because the pouncer lifts a good amount of ink and transfers it so easy that you don´t have to make any effort. Definitely, it´s my new favorite tool. Plant Happy Thoughts

Hello, Eugy here! I have always had a love for indoor plants. They bring a fresh, vibrant energy to any room and are a great way to reconnect with nature. However, despite my best efforts, I seem to struggle to keep them alive for very long, unlike the ones on the cards 😂. Today I would like to share this card with you. It's very easy to make! First, I blended light inks using the Life Changing Blending Brushes. Then I chose a stamp from the Plant Happy Thoughts set and applied various colored inks to it. Before stamping, I blended them with the new Paper Pouncers. To finish up my card, I used my absolute favorite sentiment from this set. Well, that's it, just a couple of simple steps and the card is ready! Fanciful Feather by Laura

Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you! To start I used the "Fanciful Feather die" that I cut out of gold cardstock. Then I cut a white cardboard for one of the feathers and painted it with distress oxide inks in blue and green tones. For the background I also used the same tones, first I painted the cardboard and then I used darker colors with the "Tree bark 6x6" stencil. I did it diagonally to give the card some movement. Finally I placed a gold strip to separate the two sides of the card. For the sentiment I used the word "Celebrate" that comes on the "A2 Full Front Shaker" die set. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! Hi everyone, Claudia here With a card dedicated to all dads. I was inspired by this fantastic stamp from the March collection, Escape with Me and my husband's passion for fishing. I created this card with a round window, using the set Misshapen Stitched Circle Dies and chose the stencil Tree Bark 6x8 Stencil to give the wood effect as if it were a piece of the boat, I shaded with Distress with Paper Pouncers To finish, I colored the stamp with Copics . Three parts background idea with March release.

Hello, everyone! It´s Silvana here. Welcome to the PFS blog! Today I´m sharing a creative idea to use a lot of supplies of the new March release. But you can use whatever supplies that you already have in your stash! Let´s talk about the card. It has a composition of three parts that fit together because the products that I use have the same "theme" (almost, but I made it happen lol). On the bottom of the card I used the new 6x8 Tree Bark Stencil which remind me of the peacock´s feathers so I decided to ink it in this beautiful bird´s colors. Yes, the stencil it´s made to resemble wood texture, but I thought of the pattern in the feathers... To apply the ink, I used a combination of the tools that Picket Fence Studios has: the Life Changing Blender Brushes for the soft hand, and the new (and amazing) Paper Pouncers for the heavy hand. The pouncers help to apply a lot of ink in an easy and comfortable way, so I´m in love with them. On the right you can see the peacock from the new Illuminating Peacock stamp set and the sentiment is from the set too. I used two colors of ink here to make the peacock pop. The top part of the card is my favorite one and has some work, but totally worth it. I started by creating a mask with the Fanciful Feathers Die cut in some kind of masking paper or wide temporary tape. I put them in the remaining space and then applied some ink with a heavy hand. After that, I put a thin layer of Paper Glitz Sparkle and waited to completely dry. I removed the feathers masks and the result was incredible! Shiny and different from the other two. To finish the card I added some sequins from the new Sequin Mix Peacock tails. This card is a 5x7 one, so I cut the background 1/4 inch from each side and tape it with foam tape over the card base. The sentiment is also tape with dimensional tape. I hope you like this idea and give it a try! Maybe you can search in your PFS products and find some that combines and make your own version. On This Special Day card

Hello there! It's Eugy here, and today I'm sharing this bright birthday card I made using the fun sentiment die set called "On This Special Day Word Die." I've been wanting to use this word die set for quite some time now to make a special card for someone's birthday, and I'm so excited to finally share how it turned out. I love how the large, blocky font of this die cut sentiment contrasts with the fun, whimsical patterns on the patterned paper I created for the card base. Here I paired the Tree Bark 6×8 Stencil and the Presents for All Seasons stamp. This was the first time I tried brand new tool: Paper Pouncers. The stencil and pouncers are versatile tools that can be used in many different ways to create a wide array of beautiful patterns and textures. I look forward to experimenting further with these products to achieve additional unique effects and backgrounds in the future. I accented the card with some gold foil cardstock for some fun texture and finished it off with a few gemstones from the Ghost House Gem Mix. Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you! To begin I cut several cardboard in a rectangular shape, with which I am going to create the gifts. I used different cardboard in pink, fuchsia and craft color to later combine them. I also cut some thin strips to make the gift ribbon. I then used the "A Bow for any reason die" to cut the bows on all the packages. I also used the "A2 Pierced Blanket Cover Plate Die", the "Slimline Trapezoid Spiral Stencil" and the "A Whole Lot Of Polka Dots Stencil" to give texture to some gifts. Then I combined the different colors to make them contrast. For the sentiment I used the word "Happy birthday" that I cut out of pink cardstock. This word comes with the "A2 Full Front Shaker Die". To decorate I added some "Gems mixes fire" to give the card a little more contrast. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was!
