Hello, crafty friends and happy Wednesday!! I hope you’re having a great week!! I have a monochromatic slimline card to share with you today featuring goodies from the latest April Release!!
I started by stamping the amazing flamingo and sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingos Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the flamingo with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut her and the sentiment out.
For the background, I applied Pink Magnolia Paper Glaze Luxe to a panel of pink cardstock with a palette knife using the Lots Of Blossoms 6x8 Stencil. Once it was dry, I die cut it, along with a panel of white cardstock using dies from the Slim Line Nested Rectangles Die Set. Both panels were adhered to a white slimline card base.
The flamingo and sentiment die-cuts were popped up with foam tape. Lots of pink iridescent sequins from the Butterfly Bush Embellishment Mix were the perfect finishing touch.
I really love how this turned out! I can’t wait to use the other flamingo image in the Fabulous Flamingos set!!
Thank you so much for dropping by today!! I appreciate your time!! Have a good one!!

Hello there, Lisa here with you today to share a mini slim line card featuring the beautiful Slim Line Rose Lines stencil. This stencil is so pretty, very delicate and intricate. I couldn't wait to ink it up!
I began by taking a panel of 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock and placing the stencil down over the top. I secured it from behind using low tack tape. Using Life Changing Blender Brushes, I blended Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks through the stencil. I used Seedless Preserves at both ends, followed by Picked Raspberry at both ends. Worn Lipstick is the central colour. I always repeat the blending several times to make sure I get a good transition of colour between each ink. Next, I die cut the panel using one of the scalloped dies from Mini Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles.
Next I took the Love Ya word dies included in the same slim line die set and die cut them three times from 110lb Neenah Solar White cardstock. They were adhered together to form a small stack. I then adhered this stack onto my ink blended panel and this in turn was added onto a top folding horizontal base card. To finish the card I added some of the new Pink Bottlecap Flowers Sequins. It's a bit difficult to see them on the card but I have them arranged around the word die.
I really love this stencil and it also comes in a 6 x 6 version so you have lots of options for creating different sized cards with them. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great week!

Holly Jolly Slim Line Christmas
by Sandi MacIver on Dec 03 2021
Hey cardmaking friends and welcome back. It's Sandi here with another card in the Christmas Card Extravaganza here at Picket Fence Studios.
Today it's a Slimline Holly Jolly Christmas. I combined all my favorites on this card so it's packed with interest, layers and bling. I hope you like it.
Yes, all the things on one card, haha.
How to create the Slimline Holly Christmas card:
Start with a 3-1/4 x 8-1/4 piece of white, cut with the Slim Line Die Cutting System.
Lay the Slim Line Basket Petals Stencil over it and use the Life Changing Brushes to add Distress Oxides through the stencil.
I used Salvage Patina, Evergreen Bough, Pine Needles and Black Soot.
Next, Use the Misti and the Black Hybrid Ink to stamp the holly stamp into hammermill white cardstock.
Color with Copic Markers:
Greens: Bg11, BG34, G19, G28
Pinks: RV34, RV17, RV19, RV69
Use the coordinating die to cut out the holly and set aside.
For the Sentiment:
Die cut the Slim Line Merry Christmas Word Die in mirror gold, and two of the Blue spruce cardstock, stack them together.
Finally, Use the Sky Blue Paper Glaze Ombre, spread it across a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of white card and let it dry.
Cut the Snowflake Lydia from it.
Assembling the card:
Layer the card front to a 3-3/8 x 8-3/8 mat in Blue Spruce (from Spellbinders) and then to a 4 x 9-1/2 white card base.
Use the Bearly White Glue with the fine tip to attach the paper glaze snowflake.
Next, over that, add the holly.
Finally, use the Bearly White Glue again to attach the sentiment. Embellish with Oceans of Green Gem Mix.

Whooo Are You two ways and VIDEO!
by Erica Andersson-Burke on Aug 30 2021
Hi guys,
it's Erica back on the Picket Fence Studio blog AND the YouTube channel today! I have two cards to show you, and as mentioned, there is a video for it too, so I'd love it if you'd check that out as well.
I have used the Whooo Are You stamp and coordinating die set for these two cards.
Now, I will admit that when I first saw this guy I was a bit like 'hmm, I don't think this is going to be my fave' but once I started colouring him, I fell in love!! Oh, my, he's so fun to colour!!
I stamped him up both with Black Hybrid ink, as well as with Fadeout Ink from Inkon3, with my MISTI, so I could do one no-line-colouring. They both turned out fab, if I may say so myself. So fun to colour! (I know I already said that but it's true) and major plus point for having a coordinating diecut!
For the backgrounds I wanted to show two different techniques, and two of my faves include ink blending with the Life Changing Blender Brushes and the other is using my beloved Paper Glazes. I can not understate how obsessed I am with Paper Glazes, they are so amazing and give such fun results! I used Paper Glazes for both the lives I did in the Picket Fence Studios Community Facebook group, where we host fun lives and classes sometimes. You should definitely join us there if you haven't already!
In the video you will see me ink blending another background, which I didn't end up using, and off-camera I ink blended the one I actually used. As we are heading towards fall and the owl is a night time creature, I felt the ominous orangey-red one was a better choice. It also matched the eyes on the owl a bit better.
On the Paper Glaze background I ended up reusing(/re-purposing?) a scrap piece that I had scraped off some excess Paper Glaze from another play session. It wasn't long enough for the slim line card I was planning on making with it, so I added more Paper Glaze in Black Pansy, Lime Zinnia, Daffodil Yellow and Ocean Poppy.
Armed with lots of black card stock, I ran both the A2 Tree Silhouette cover die, the Slim line Tree Silhouette Cover die and the Spider Web cover dies through my diecutting machine, and set these aside while I worked on my sentiments.
I had a super cheesy idea for this, but bear with me. As the owl is a predator, I wanted to use the 'I love your face' word topper die, and then add 'yum' by cutting out the letter with the Seeing Double Alpha dies. See what I mean? So cheesy, lol!
Oh, by the way, that YUM was cut out of homemade glitter card stock made with Black Rainbow Paper Glitz!
The second sentiment is also done with a word topper, only this time the Hello one. This time I cut it out of white card stock, which might have been a bit of a mistake, I should have done it in black card stock again but oh well.
For this sentiment I also went cheesy. Of course. So while I had the Hello word topper, my die cutting machine and the card stock out, I cut out some extra O's to make the Hello into a Hellooooo. I didn't like it white so I blended a little bit of the black and blue ink left on my brushes over it.
The final part of the sentiment was the 'whooo are you?' from the stamp set, which I stamped on white card stock and cut out with the coordinating diecut.
To assemble these, I used liquid glue to make sure I could adjust all the pieces and line them up perfectly. Especially the A2 card as I layered up the tree silhouette piece on top of the spider web diecut.
The owls were tucked into the Tree Silhouette pieces on each card and then the sentiments were added and we were done!
Over on the Picket Fence Studios YouTube channel you can catch the video for these two cards as well!
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really hope you like the cards and found some inspiration here with me.
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Hey crafty friends, Sandi here with a new Slimline Tree Scenery card for you. I love Picket Fence Studios Slimline Die collection and when the new inserts came out this month I just had to give them a go along with a few other new goodies of course.
The Tree Scenery Slim Line Die Cutting System insert was my first choice with it's beautiful branches and tiny little bunny dies that I just had to include.
Card Details:
Start by die cutting the smaller rectangle as your card front.
Use the Details of a Wing Slim Line Stencil and blend Distress Oxide Inks in Speckled Egg, Evergreen Bough and Black Soot to get a light background effect.
Next, splatter it with white and gold ink.
Cut the tree out of the slimline piece and cut it again from watercolor paper.
Using Gansai Tambi watercolors, color the tree adding teals, purples greens and pinks.
Once dry, cut the circle away from the water colored tree and glue the tree over the one on the card.
Matt the art piece i coordinating purple before attaching to the white card base.
Embellishing the Card:
Use the circle die from the Slim line Scallop Framed Dies - to cut the gold circle outline which is inlaid around the tree. (these new inlaid dies are fabulous for card highlights and there are hearts in this set as well).
Glue on gems from the new Reflections Gem Mix. This is where I got the colors for the tree, therefore, they coordinating beautifully.
The Sentiment:
Gold heat emboss the sentiment from the NEW Fancy Daily Sentiments onto a piece of black cardstock and die cut it out with the coordinating die set.
Use small pieces of foam tape to attach it to the left side of the card.
I love the dramatic feel of this card, hope you do too.

Scalloped Frames Slim Line Diecutting Extravaganza with Erica
by Erica Andersson-Burke on Apr 27 2021
Hi guys!
It's Erica back on the PFS blog today with another slim line card extravaganza! I know.. every time is an extravaganza it seems, but seriously, can you blame me when I have all these fun dies to play with??
When I first laid eyes on the Scallop Frames Slim Line Diecutting System, I was hooked! HOOKED I say! Oh my goodness, the possibilities. In this post we are going to go into some of those!
In the Scallop Frames set there are some little inserts, as well as the rectangular dies. You get two circles, two scalloped circles and two hearts, as well as a 'hi' and a huge 'celebration' word dies.
First off I used the gorgeous scalloped frames on some previously made backgrounds. Both of these are done with the Waves slim line stencil, and are ink blended with Life Changing Blender Brushes and Distress Oxide inks.
On the first one, I used both scalloped frames, and popped the smaller one up with some foam tape. Then I cut that huge celebrate word die out of black card stock and simply added that to the card. The black against that colourful background really makes the whole thing pop!
I didn't stop there though, I added gem stones from several mixes, including the Reflections, Fire, and Purple Side Of A Rainbow, to give the card some gorgeous sparkle. I added these with the gem picker and some liquid glue.
For the second card I cut the celebrate out of the panel, and another out of black card stock. These I layered up and adhered back onto the background.
It wouldn't be an extravaganza without some other cards, and I'm hoping you won't be disappointed with these:
This one is done with another already made background, Paper Glaze in Yellow Primrose over the Slim Line Centre Flower stencil. That huge Congratulations word die was the only thing needed, as well as a nice scalloped edge thanks to the Scalloped Frames SDCS.
I also put those hearts to use, and realised that if I stacked them while running them through my diecutting machine, I actually got FOUR pieces in one session. Yep, that's right! Four!
On this one, I used the solid heart shapes, as well as the outline that was created by cutting them all out together. The card base was made with the Scalloped Frames SDCS, cut from white card stock.
The solid heart shapes were popped up with foam tape, and each one got three gems of different sizes added to them. Oh and a sentiment from Fancy Daily Sentiments, that was stamped up in Black Hybrid Ink, and then diecut with the coordinating die.
The heart frames didn't go to waste, so I used them on another card. This background was made by spritzing water on the Waves Slim Line stencil after an ink blending session and then print it with water colour paper. I used the Scalloped Frames SDCS again, once on the background, and then the frame rectangle on grey card stock.
With the grey frame adhered to the background, I layered up the hearts by colours and another diecut sentiment from the Fancy Daily Sentiments was added, along with a few sequins from the Purple-Rita mix.
Well, with that, I'm all done for today but I hope you enjoyed these cards. There will be a video on the Picket Fence YouTube channel soon, so make sure you subscribe to the channel and hit that notification button so you don't miss anything!
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Whatever You Decide To Do In Life, Make Sure It Makes You Happy
by Lisa Tilson on Apr 14 2021

Hello everyone, it's Lisa here today on our favourite day of the month - Release Day! And I have two things to share with you - a card using lots of gorgeousness from the new release, plus I have a release reveal video up on my channel which shares all the new items for this month with you, along with my sample cards. If you want to catch the video, then scroll to the end of this post.
But first, for my card today, I wanted to use the new Slim Line Scallop Framed Dies set, along with the new Slim Line Details Of A Wing Stencil. For this card, I also used the Monarch Butterfly Insert. So, here is my card!
I began by taking an 8.5" x 3.5" panel of white cardstock and laying the Slim Line Details Of A Wing Stencil on top. I secured the card panel from the back using low tack tape. I then took some Distress Inks and blended rainbow colours through it using Life Changing Blender Brushes. Once I'd removed the stencil, I took the smaller scalloped rectangle die from the new SLDS Scallop Framed Dies system and ran the panel through my die cutting machine.
Next I took one of the circular frames from the Scallop Framed Die set and cut a window into my ink blended panel. And I kept the resulting thin circular frame as I needed that later on. The two butterflies were cut from the Monarch Butterfly Slim Line Die Cutting Insert. This insert die will actually cut a window/insert into a panel and leave the butterfly intact, but I wanted to separate it out, so I just trimmed it out twice. I could then stack them on top of each other for some dimension.
I adhered the ink blended panel to an 8.5" x 3.5" base card and then I glued the tiny circular frame around the window - the one that I had saved from earlier. It finishes off the circular window nicely! The two stacked butterflies were then added in and I decorated them with a few gems from the new Reflections Gem Mix.
To finish the card, I took a sentiment from Dance Mode On and stamped it onto white cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied gold embossing powder, heat set it and then popped it up with foam tape.
All the items I have used are listed below. And for those of you that would like to see the release in full, here is the video. I am sure you are going to love all the new stamp sets, dies and stencils!
