It's Time For Fun - Easter Shaker Card

by Brenda Noelke on Mar 08 2023

Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with a fun Easter shaker card to share with you today!! I'm sooo ready for Spring and this card just screams "Spring!!" with its soft pastel colors!! I began by stamping the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. (There is a Coordinating Die Set available, but it is out of stock right now.) Next, I white heat embossed the Easter Egg Time Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock and blended pastel colors of Distress Oxide Inks onto the panel with Life Changing Blender Brushes. I die-cut a circle into the panel with the 3.0 Connected Circles Shaker Creator Dies. I also die-cut a larger circle from a shaker sheet using the same die set and adhered it to the back of the ink-blended panel. I applied foam adhesive to the back of the panel, added Hop and Bunny Honey embellishments, then lined up the circle die-cut and adhered it so the eggs matched seamlessly with the background. The panel was then adhered to a white A2 card base. The Peter Bunny & Friends image was adhered to the front of the card with liquid adhesive. The sentiment, also from the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, trimmed into a narrow strip and popped up with foam adhesive.  I just love this bunny in the mug and those Hop and Bunny Honey embellishments are absolutly perfect for Easter cards!! Thanks so much for spending a bit of time with me today!! Have a good one!! Brenda

This Egg Is For You

by Claudia Cubas on Mar 06 2023
Hi crafty friends, Today I want to show you this card I made as I was starting to think about Easter. I made the background, using die cuts to create the embossing effect. I chose the new set   A Bow for Any Reason Dies  which has so many beautiful bows, really for any occasion. I first created the background with Hexagon Randomness 6x8 Stencil  and glued many bows.  For the shaker I used the set  3.5" Connected Circles Shaker Creator Die  for shaker card that allows us to create the front circle of the skahaker and also the inside, with as many as 5 circle sizes. I used the larger one, so I die-cut  Extra Wide Foam Tape - White 50' Roll and chose the  Sequin Mix Plus - Bunny Honey  to decorate it.  I used the   Hippity Hoppity to All  set with these beautiful eggs that I colored with the no-line technique. I hope you like my inspiration!!!  Claudia

Window see through Card

by Silvana Chambon Scarenzio on Mar 01 2023
Hello and welcome to the Picket Fence Studios blog! It´s Silvana here with another inspiration post.  The February release is here and has a lot of fun dies to play with. I create this window scene with the new Pretty Flower box and Window dies which brings a lot of dies. I painted the different die cuts with watercolour pencils.  Through the window you can see a cute bunny sleeping from the new Animal crackers: caring friends stamp set. The sentiment is also from the same set.  The background is made to simulate wood with the help of the A2 Against the grain Cover Plate die which gives the wood grain texture.  I hope you like the card and see some inspiration here for future creations and shopping references. Have a nice day.  Silvana.

Chicks in Grass Embellishments Shaker card

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Feb 24 2023
Happy Friday! Eugy here! Today, I'm sharing another shaker card I made using one of the new sequin mixes released in the February release. This beautiful “Chicks in Grass Embellishments” mix includes a variety of pastel colors and shapes, perfect for a spring-themed project like this one. Here I used the negative space from “Layering Flora: Fantasy Floweret Dies” to create a window for the shaker, and the Plumeria Flower 6x8 Stencil to make colorful background. The stencil is a great tool for adding interesting textures and patterns to any project. Additionally, the Plumeria Flower stencil added a tropical and playful touch to the project, making it perfect for spring or summer-themed occasions. To finish the card, I added a die cut sentiment from the Done Adulting for the Day stamp set. I hope you like this card and feel inspired to create your own shaker card using the new sequin mixes or stencils! Have a great weekend and happy crafting! Eugy

Birthday card by Laura

by Laura Nistal on Feb 22 2023
Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Peter bunny and Friends" Stamps set that I stamped with "Black Hybrid ink pad" which is perfect for this type of stamps! Then I painted all the images with alcohol markers and then with a white marker I glossed it to make it stand out.  Then i cut out the images using the "Peter bunny and Friends" coordinating dies but you can carefully cut them out with scissors if you prefer. Next I prepared the background: for this I used the "Plumeria Flowers 6x8" stencil that I painted with distress inks in a corner of the card. For the sentiment I used a phrase from the same set of stamps that I cut out of white cardstock. To decorate I added some "Gems mixes fire" to give the card a little more contrast. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time! Laura

Hello, crafty friends and happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a card today that features one of my favorite sets from the February Release that just released yesterday...the stunning Mophead Hydrangea Stamp!! I couldn't wait to color this beautiful bloom!! I began by white heat embossing the Mophead Hydrangea onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I watercolored it with Karin Brushmarker Pro markers and a damp paintbrush. Once it was dry, I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 white card base. For the sentiment, I die-cut "hello" from dark blue glitter cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock three times using a die from the Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Die Set. I stacked and adhered the layers together with liquid adhesive with the top layer slightly offset, then adhered it to the front of the card. The All About the Blues Sequin Mix had the most beautiful blue hues to match  perfectly!! Thank you so much for dropping by today!! Be sure to check out the rest of the fabulous February Release!! Hello, everyone! It´s Silvana here with another inspiration blog post. Today I´m sharing with you a shaker card made with some new products from PFS.  In the January release we can find some layered stencil and coordinating dies that are perfect match.  Here I used the Layered Wander Butterfly Stencil with some dye inks with the Life Changing Blender Brushes for the base of the skaker. For the front panel I cut a piece of cardstock with the A2 Pierced Blanket Cover Plate die and then cut it with the Wander Butterfly Die which is the same size as the stencil.  The shaker filling is the new Sequin Mix Butterfly Bush that adds a lot of color and shine. For the sentiment, I used one of the dies from the Wander Butterfly Die set.  I hope you like this card. See you in my next blog post. Silvana.

The "Tact vs Sarcasm" Clean and Simple Cards.

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Feb 03 2023
Happy Friday! Eugy here, and I have two card ideas for you today! The single layer one and the shaker one! Both showcasing fun sentiment stamp set called "Tact vs Sarcasm". My first card is very easy to create. I paired the sentiment I liked with the Karma Girl: Suzy and Mary stamp. To make it unique, I made rainbow blending using the Life Changing Blender Brushes.   And I wanted to create a second card with a shaker. I filled it with the Sequin Mix Plus - Fish Food, and used the Petals 6x6 Stencil for the background. And as a final touch, I created a sentiment using an embossing technique and white powder on a transparent film. Have a great weekend and happy crafting!Eugy
