You left me unattended Halloween card

Hello and welcome to the Picket Fence Studios blog! It´s Silvana here and today I´m sharing a fun Halloween card made with some new products from the July release. You can see all the collection here.  In the background, I used the new Mini Hot Flashes Stencil with different tones of Distress Oxides inks imitating the colors of the fire. Then, I used the Mini Haunted Moon Blending Stencil in the top of the card. Over the moon, I needed a flying witch so I used the one in the Slim Line Welcome to the Graveyard Blending Stencil. This malefic witch set on fire the woods of the A Nightly Sky stamp set.  To finish the scene, I heat embossed with white embossing powder a sentiment from the new Inappropriate Halloween stamp set.  The final result is a very fun card appropriate for that special witch friend.  I hope you like it and encourages you to use your stencils! Have a fantastic week. I´ll leave you the products list below with my affiliates links. Thank you so much for your support! Silvana.

Today, we are thrilled to introduce our Guest Designer, the talented and charming Carol Hintermeier! 🎉 We were honored to meet Carol at the CREATE! event this year, and she was a true joy! Let's get to know her and the incredible cards she has crafted for us, all of which beautifully capture the essence of autumn. Meet Carol Hintermeier: 👩‍🎨 "Hello! I’m Carol and I’m a born and raised Texan! I have lived here all my life and enjoy it with my husband of 36 years, our two beautiful adult daughters, and our sweet Maltese named Baxter. Outside of my craft room, I enjoy a bit of gardening, bike riding, and more recently, pickleball (I’m addicted LOL)! I have loved creating for as long as I can remember. I have enjoyed embroidery, crochet, macrame, cross-stitch, scrapbooking, and, of course, card making! I started out card making with a brass stencil, lightbox, and stylus! So, thank goodness that’s in the past, and I have enjoyed stamping, coloring, die-cutting, embossing, and all things related to card making for about 15 years now." 🍂🌼 LEMON QUEEN SUNFLOWER 🌻🍋 Embrace the brilliance of nature with "The Lemon Queen Sunflower"! The sunflower takes center stage, flaunting its sunny yellow petals and warm hues against the deep blue backdrop. Its radiant beauty stands out even more, like a beacon of light in the darkness of the night. HEY, HAY, HEY, FRIEND! 🎃🌽 Get ready to fall in love with "Hey, Hay Hey!"—the adorable scarecrow card that will warm your heart and bring a smile to your face!  This delightful card features a charming scarecrow, set against a corn backdrop that is totally a-maize-ing! AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED 🍁🌙 The third card by Carol is a breathtaking masterpiece that captures the essence of an autumn harvest bathed in the soft glow of moonlight. The combination of deep, rich colors with subtle moonlit highlights creates a mesmerizing scene. This card embodies the enchanting and magical qualities of fall evenings.  Carol's creativity and passion for crafting shine brightly in each of these cards. We are truly honored to have her as our Guest Designer this month. Make sure to check out Carol's social media platforms. We hope her cards inspire you to explore the beauty of fall!  **Carol's Instrgram **Carol's Blog With love and creativity from all of us here at Picket Fence Studios. 💕🍁  Visit our entire new release here: www.pfstamps.com

New Release - Haunted Ghost House

by Sammi Offield on Jul 25 2023

Hey crafty friends!! Sammi here to share a card featuring the A2 Ghost House from the new release! The new release is so AWESOME! It is such an amazing and huge release - definitely something for everyone!  For this card, the first thing I wanted to do was to create my spooky sky. Using the moon mask from the new Mini Haunted Moon stencil, I masked where I wanted the moon to be and then ink blended the sky using Distress Oxide inks. After I was done, I removed the mask and then stenciled in the rest of the moon using the rest of the moon stencil set. I then created the bats with some Black Pansy Paper Glaze along with the Bat Crazy 6x8 stencil. While the Paper Glaze was drying, I then cut out the Ghost House with black card stock and then glued some yellow card stock in the window openings and where the light from the windows shines on the ground. I then cut another Ghose House out of black glitter card stock and glued it on top of the black piece, adding some white pigment ink to create a shadowy look. I then glued the house onto the card panel. I then added the sentiment from the People are my Favorite, Mummy stamp and die set and then glued the card panel onto a A2 card base.  I absolutely love this set! So many possibilities and so easy to work with! Here is what you need from the new release to make this card: Bat Crazy 6x8 Stencil – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Mini Haunted Blending Stencil – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) A2 Ghost House Cover Plate Die – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) People are my Favorite, Mummy – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) People are my Favorite, Mummy Coordinating Die – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Animal Crackers: Kind Messages Card

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Jul 18 2023
Hi there, fellow crafters, Eugy here! Today, I'm excited to share a card I created using the delightful  Animal Crackers: Kind Messages stamp from the June release. This cardmaking process was pretty straightforward and quick, ideal for those times when you need a beautiful card fast. I started by stamping the adorable animal image and proceeded to color it with alcohol markers. The blending and the vibrant colors truly brought these cute creatures to life. Next, I stamped the same image on masking paper and and did some fussy cutting. After adhering the cutout to the previously colored image, I was ready for the next step, adding an extra pop of cheer to my card. With the mask in place, I was able to add a stunning rainbow blending effect around the animals using Distress Oxide Inks and the Sun with Rays 6x6 Stencil. The bold and beautiful rainbow hues did a great job at lifting the spirits! After completing the blending, the masking paper was peeled off to reveal the cleanly preserved image underneath. The final touch was the inclusion of a heartfelt sentiment. I find the entire cardmaking process deeply satisfying, especially when the outcome carries such a supportive and uplifting message. I hope this inspires you to try out the Animal Crackers: Kind Messages & Coordinating Die set for your next cardmaking project. Happy crafting! Eugy

Another Rainbow for all Seasons by Laura

by Laura Nistal on Jul 11 2023
Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Tweet Tweet Friends Stamps” which I stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad” and then painted with alcohol markers. Then to give the stamps more relief, I used the white Gelly Roll in the areas where I wanted to give shine and the black Micron Pigma in the areas where I wanted to give more depth. Below I used the “Tweet Tweet Friends Coordinating dies” to cut them out, but you can also carefully cut them out with scissors. Next I prepared the rainbow with the “Another Rainbow for All Seasons Die” that I cut in different colors. I also cut the clouds out of the "Slimline Curvy Rainbow Die” to support the rainbow. For the background I used the “Slimline Cloud Coverage Stencil” to simulate a sky and I painted it with distress inks. And for the sentiment I used a phrase from the “Tweet Tweet Friebds Stamps” that i stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad”. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time!

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a card featuring some fantastic goodies from the latest June Release!! I started by stamping the images from the Scene Building: Arbor and the images and sentiment from The Best Dirt stamp sets onto white cardstock with PFS black hybrid ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the Scene Building: Arbor and The Best Dirt coordinating dies to cut them out. The arbor die-cut was adhered to an A2 white card base with liquid glue. I used the Slim Line Cloud Coverage Stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and a Life Changing Blender Brush to add the clouds to the sky. I used another blending brush to add Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink toward the bottom of the card front for the ground. All of the die-cuts were arranged and adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue and the sentiment was popped up with foam adhesive. I used a yellow gel pen to accent the centers of the flowers and this card was finished. That’ll do it for me!! Thanks so much for dropping by!! Have a great day!! Brenda

Coffee Bar Card

by Heejung Hunsberger on Jun 23 2023
Hello Crafty Friends, I am so excited to share a coffee-themed card with you today. I created this card using the Scene Building Espresso Bar Table die set from Picket Fence Studios. As a lover of coffee, this espresso machine would be a dream come true!   I used a part of the coffee table die ( I cut out the legs of the table) and made a bar instead of the table.   "I die-cut all the pieces from the Espresso Bar Table die set. I then colored the fruit and bread with Copic markers."   I used silver Aluminum foil card stock and black card stock for the espresso machine and basket. Square shaker card

by Silvana Chambon Scarenzio on Jun 21 2023
Hello, everyone! It´s Silvana here. Welcome to the PFS blog. Today I´m sharing a square shaker card made with the new 3.0" Connected Squares Shaker Creator Die. This card has a lot of interesting techniques. I started by making the background with alcohol inks. I used the Tim Holtz inks on a 5x7" Ranger white yupo paper. I used Sunset Orange, Laguna and Purple Twilight colors.  After the inks was set and dry I cut the panel in a 5x5 piece. I used my Misti to help me stamp. Then I added a generous amount of antiestatic powder and stamped the flower bouquet from the Million Little Things stamp with Versamark ink. I put white embossing powder and heat embossed it. I repeated the process in the opposite corner of the paper.  After that, I positioned the 3.0" Connected Squares Shaker Creator Die in the middle of the square and cut.  I created a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" card base, and glued the inner square in the middle . I created the shaker window with the Shaker Sheets and the other die in the set. I also used some double sided foam tape. I put some Glamorous Embellishments mix on the square glued in the card base and put the square with the window over.  To finish the card I added a sentiment from the Million Little Things stamp set cut with the coordinating die.  I hope you enjoyed this card and inspires you to make your own square shaker.  I leave you all the supplies used with my affiliates links. Thank you so much for your support! Silvana

Another Rainbow for all Seasons

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Jun 16 2023
Happy Friday! Eugy here, and I’m thrilled to share with you my latest creation using new products from the June release.I’ve created a newborn card using two new products: the Another Rainbow for all Seasons Die and the Glamourous Embellishment Jar. To begin with, I made a vibrant background for the card using inks and Bright Rainbow Paper Pouncers. Next, I cut out a window for the shaker from this panel using the shadow die of the rainbow dies. On the piece that served as the background, I stamped some florals using brown inks and the Million Little Things stamp. The fun part followed - filling the shaker with the Glamourous Embellishment Jar! To add depth to my creation, I cut out rainbow elements from white and silver glitter cardstock, and affixed them on the card using dimensional To finish, I stamped a sentiment from the Animal Crackers: Kind Messages set. The result is a pretty and cute card I’m absolutely in love with! I can’t wait to hear what you all think of this new release and my creative journey in making this piece.Happy crafting and have a great weekend!Eugy

June New Release Day! - Espresso Bar Table Dies

by Sammi Offield on Jun 14 2023
Happy New Release Day crafty friends! Sammi here to share a card made with the AMAZING new Scene Building: Espresso Bar Table Dies! I absolutely love this die set! I love the retro feel of the colors red and teal, so I went with that color scheme for my scene and I LOVE it! Here is how I made this card: First, I wanted a wood grained background for my wood wall, so I used the A2 Against the Grain Cover Plate die and then ink blended it with Distress inks. I edged the corners and edges with darker Distress inks to make it looked a little more aged. I then cut out the pieces in the Espresso Bar Table dies - I cut out the table, espresso machine, flower/vase, row of cups, 3 individual cups, and then the bread, donut, bananas, oranges, apple and pear. I then cut out the tier basket out of silver metallic cardstock. I then colored the smaller pieces with Copic markers and edged the espresso machine with Distress inks to make it look vintage. I then ink blended the table with Distress inks and ink edged it too. After that, I placed the table onto the card panel with some foam tape. I then started adding the espresso machine, flower/vase and cups using glue and foam tape. I then glued the fruit and breads into the tier basket and then added it to the table with glue and foam tape.  I then decided I wanted to make a poster for the wall from the new Our Finest Selection background stamp so I picked out a image from the background stamp and then cut it down to a square and matted it with some teal cardstock. I then glued it onto the background wall.  I then stamped the sentiment from the new Espresso Yourself stamp set with teal ink and then cut it down to size and added it to the card panel with foam tape and then added some bling from the All About the Teals Sequin Mix. After the card panel was complete, I glued it onto a A2 card base. HiHeyHello - Longneck Family Kit

by Sammi Offield on Jun 09 2023
Hey crafty friends! Sammi here to share a card made with the AMAZING Longneck Family kit! This kit is FULL of so many goodies to play with! There are stamps, dies, glazes, sequins, a stencil, paper, twine and more! Today I am sharing a card made with the Hi Hey Hello, Giraffe stamp and the Long Neck Family kit Paper Glaze. This glaze is amazing! Here is how I made this card! Fist I stamped the giraffe with the PFS Black Hybrid Ink Pad and colored him with Copic markers. I then fussy cut out him out and then edged the edges with brown distress inks.  I really love the vintage piece of paper that comes with the kit. It is bigger than a A2 sized card, so I tore it down to size and then edged it with Distress inks to make it look aged. I then took the stencil and stenciled the piece with the Long Neck Family kit Paper Glaze and let it dry. After it was dry, I then curled in the edges in various spots to make it look more aged and added some more Distress ink.  In the kit are many colors of cardstock. I chose to use the darker hunter green color and I cut a piece down to a A2 size. In the kit is a small little sander. I love it! I took the sander and sanded the edges of the green piece of cardstock and then added some Distress ink to make it looked aged. I then cut a sentiment piece and repeated the same process. I then embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.  I then glued the stenciled piece of paper onto the green card panel, then I glued the sentiment onto the card panel. I then added the giraffe with some foam tape and then glued the card panel onto a A2 card base. To finish the look, I added some sequins that come with the kit.  Here is what you need to make this card: Long Neck Family Exclusive Kit – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Black Hybrid Ink Pad – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) I love how this card came out! It looks so safari! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Father’s Day - Let the Good Times Roll

by Brenda Noelke on Jun 07 2023
Hello, fellow crafters and happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a Father’s Day card for dad featuring several goodies from the latest release!!  I began by stamping the A Nice Cold One Stamp Set onto a panel of kraft cardstock with brown ink. I splattered it with diluted white gouache and a paint brush. Once it was dry, I trimmed it down, adhered a strip of black cardstock to each side, then adhered it to an A2 white card base.   The Happy Father’s Day Word Die was die-cut once from black cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together with the black layer slightly offset. It was then adhered to the front of the card. The supporting sentiment, from the Make It Dirty Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up toward the bottom of the card with foam adhesive. I know my dad would love a nice cold one for Father’s Day!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!! Brenda
