Many ideas with new Long Neck Family Kit

by Claudia Cubas on Jun 05 2023
Hello everyone dear friends, Claudia here, to show you some of my creations, made co new Picket Fence Studios Kit! This is a fabulous kit with a fantastic selection of items, it contains many goodies that give you the opportunity to create, match and have fun! I created three cards and a small organizer. What I like best about this kit are the colors of cardstock that Nicole selected, and I loved the thread , which I used especially in the small agenda. But also the three  adorable stamps , the one of the landscape with the trees and the giraffe in the foreground, and as you see in the first card, a silhouette-style die-cut set featuring three adorable giraffes. I think this is such a complete kit and full of inspiration. For the front of the small organizer, I used the cards for the background, and created the drawstring and tassel using the thread provided. I decorated with the giraffe in the foreground. For the inside, I created a pocket and inserted a tag, created inserts using the stain effect stamp, and lined a small salvaged pencil to match my set. I also decorated the sides with the stencil and paper glaze provided in the kit. What do you guys think of my idea? I love creating small useful items beyond cards, and I hope you enjoy it! To purchase the Kit we have two options, one the complete Kit: Long Neck Family Kit   and the other the Kit and a fantastic course: KIT PLUS CLASS   in which you will be able to create as many as three cards in the company of Nicole Petersen. I hope you enjoyed my creations and they give you inspiration! Claudia

PFS- Craft Beer Mug Shaker Die Card

by Heejung Hunsberger on Jun 02 2023
Hi crafty friends, This card with a masculine theme is what someone is searching for. It's a great fit! I had so much fun making this card.   I made a card with the Craft Beer Shaker die from Picket Fence Studios. I used alcohol ink to color the inside of the shaker to make it look like bubbles.   I used a cloud shape from the Slimline Curvy Rainbow die on the mug that looks like a bubble of beer. Then, trim the cloud to fit the mug top, I added some White Velvet to make it look like snow falling on the bubble.   CARD RECIPE: Craft Beer Mug Shaker Die Wood Grain A2 Die Slimline Curvy Rainbow Die 5X7 Double Stitched Rectangle die (Alphabet) Winter Snowfall Velvet Pineapple Smash Sequin Mix Thanks for stopping by! We hope our post inspired you to get creative. Don’t be afraid to try new things and reach out to us with any questions or feedback. Looking forward to sharing more content with you soon. Shakers Cocktails Slimline Card

by Silvana Chambon Scarenzio on May 31 2023
Hello, everyone! It´s Silvana here. Welcome to the Picket Fence Studios´ blog! Today I want to show you a slimline card made with some of the new dies to create shakers cocktails! They´re so easy to use and combined with the new sequins mix make a fun combo. I made a bright card to cheer and celebrate an amazing friend in my life.  The background for the card was made with a blend of three colors of Distress Oxide ink, which combine with the sequins in the shakers. I used the Life changing Blender Brushes to make the blend.  I had some much fun creating this card with all this cocktails. The new Cocktails dies used here are (from top to bottom): Martini Shaker Die, Tropical Cocktail shaker die and Margarita shaker die. Every die set comes with little details, like the drinking straw or the slice of lemon. The first sequin mix I used to fill the Martini shaker is the Strawberry Daiquiri sequin mix plus.  The second sequin mix used in the Tropical shaker is the Banana Daiquiri Sequin mix Plus. The last shaker was filled with the Zesty Sequin mix Plus.  To finish the card I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the new Make it Dirty Stamp set.  I hope you enjoy this card as much as I did!  Have a fantastic day. Thanks for reading, Sil.

Happy Friday! Eugy here and I’m so excited to share with you a lovely shaker card I made using the new Purr-fect for Me stamp and coordinating die from our May release. Can't get over how adorable these designs are! I started by stamping the images and then added color with my Copic Markers. And for the background, I used the Scene Building: Grass Tufts Dies, which added a perfect spring-summer vibe to my card. The grass was brought to life by some blending using the Rainbow Paper Pouncers. Then I cut shaker window out using the Matching Misshapen Stitched Circle Dies. And guess what went inside? The Sequin Mix Plus - Strawberry Daquiri! It gives a cute, sparkly effect that is just irresistible. Now, I have some exciting news for you! Don't forget that we have our Memorial Day Sale this weekend. It's the perfect opportunity to snag some products at amazing prices. So mark your calendars, it's going to be an exciting weekend! Happy crafting! Eugy

Skipping rope with friends by Laura

by Laura Nistal on May 24 2023
Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Skipping rope with friends Stamps” which I stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad” and then painted with alcohol markers. Then to give the stamps more relief, I used the white Gelly Roll in the areas where I wanted to give shine and the black Micron Pigma in the areas where I wanted to give more depth. Below I used the “Skipping rope with friends Coordinating dies” to cut them out, but you can also carefully cut them out with scissors. For the background I used a white cardboard on which I used the “Cloud Coverage stencil” to draw the clouds... For the grass I used the die "Scene Building: Grassy Hill Die” which I also painted in the same shades of green. For the sentiment I used a phrase from the same set of stamps that i stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad”. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time!

Our second guest designer for June is Carrie Rhoades (@carrierhoades).  Carrie loves shaker cards, so we knew she'd be a great fit with all of our fun shaker dies this month!  Here's a little about Carrie in her own words:  'Hi, Carrie Rhoades here from www.carriestamps.com .  I have been a crafty girl for as long as I can remember. Crayola and I were besties. I have since upgraded to Copics, but my love for coloring and paper crafting remains the same. I have made sharing my creations into a career that I love. Sharing what I make and the joy of being creative with others is my passion. My current favorite thing to make is Shaker cards. My all time favorite thing to make is my own backgrounds. I also enjoy creating cute things out of paper that are not cards. My creations are usually bold, bright, full of color and lots of detail. Let The Little Things Matter - Million Little Things

by Sammi Offield on May 19 2023

Hello Picket Fence crafty friends! Sammi here to share a card made with the newly released Million Little Things stamp set and coordinating dies! I absolutely love this stamp set! The floral is GORGEOUS! I am new to the PFS Design Team and I am so excited to be here!   I love jewel tones so I decided to use the teal and purple colors for my card. I colored the floral with Copic markers after I stamped it with PFS Black Hybrid ink and then cut it out with the coordinating die. I then took a teal Copic marker and colored in the white edge so that the image would blend in with the background of the card panel. I then took a piece of teal cardstock and added some dimension by using the Lot of Blossoms 6x8 stencil and Indigo Bunting Luxe Paper Glaze. Using the 5x7 Double Stitched Rectangle dies, I created a frame from purple cardstock and glued it onto the stenciled piece.  I then popped the stenciled piece onto a teal card base with foam tape and then popped the colored floral with foam tape. I then stamped the sentiment with purple ink and cut it down and glued it onto the card panel. I then added some sequins from the Watermelon Crush Sequin Mix to add some sparkle. Here is what you need to make this card: Million Little Things – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Million Little Things Coordinating Die – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Lots of Blossoms 6x8 Stencil – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Paper Glaze Luxe - Indigo Bunting – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Sequin Mix Plus - Watermelon Crush – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) 5x7 Double Stitched Rectangle Dies – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Black Hybrid Ink Pad – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Mixed Media Spatulas – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) I love the colors of this card and love how it turned out! Your Friendship Is A Blessing - Million Little Things

by Brenda Noelke on May 17 2023
Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Brenda here sharing a card created with one of my favorite sets from the May release!! I stamped the stunning floral image from the Million Little Things Stamp Set onto white cardstock with no-line coloring ink. I colored it with Copics, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I used a yellow gel pen to add some color back in to the stamen that I lost when coloring with my Copics. For the background, I die-cut the Slim Line Pierced Blanket Cover Plate Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a slimline white card base. The floral die-cut was popped up onto the background with foam adhesive. The sentiment is also from the Million Little Things Stamp Set. It was stamped with PFS Black Hybrid Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was adhered with a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive. A combination of Butterfly Bush, All About the Pinks and All About the Purples embellishments perfectly match the colors in the floral arrangement. That’ll do it for me today!! Be sure to check our the entire May release…it’s SOOOOOO GOOD!! Have a great Wednesday!! Brenda

You deserved to be spoiled slimline shaker card

by Silvana Chambon Scarenzio on May 10 2023
Hello, everyone! It´s Silvana here and today I want to share with you a slimline shaker card featuring some products from PFS. The new product here and the star in the card is the Oval fence Slim line diecutting system insert which cuts that lovely fence you can create a lot of scenes with.  The cute animals are from the Animal Crackers: You deserved to be spoiled stamp set. I used the coordinating die too. This set comes with a lot of small images to stamp and cut and I used them all to fill the shaker! The images are perfect for that. The sentiment is from that stamp set too.  For the shaker I also used The Sequin mix Iridescent Moonshine.  The clouds in the back ground were made with the Slimline Cloud Coverage stencil.  I loved how the card turned out! I hope you give it a try to this oval shaker. Thanks for stop by and read.  See you in my next post. Silvana.

Two Fabulous Flamingo Cards

by Sara Sherlock on May 04 2023
When I first received my package, containing the April release, I was ecstatic to get a chance to play with the flamingo stamp sets.  I quickly put ink to my stamps and got to work, and today I'm sharing two cards using the new summery stamp sets.   Process: Seamless stamp was stamped and then colored in with Polychromos Pencils.  The die cut flowers were inked using Paper Pouncers and Distress Oxide Inks and added on top of die cut leaves.  The heat embossed sentiment was die cut and tucked in.  The card front was added to a white card base. Gems were added to the centers of the flowers for a final touch of sparkle.     Products used to create this card: Flamingo Summer Dear Seamless Stamp, Fabulous Flamingoes Stamp & Coordinating Die Set, 5x7 Full Front Shaker Die, Layering Flora: Blooming Blossoms, Crystalline Diamonds: Citrine Process: The large flamingo image was stamped onto pink card stock with black ink.  The flower was shaded using white, a mid-tone gray, and a dark gray colored pencil.  The image was then die cut, and an additional piece of black foam was die cut with same die.  The white panel was stamped repeatedly with the rose image from the stamp set.  Strips of cut cardstock (1/8" and 1/2" cuts) were layered to create the stripes and adhered before the sentiment was stamped.  The card front was then added to a black card base, and sequins added for some sparkle.    Products used to create this card: Fabulous Flamingoes Stamp & Coordinating Die Set, 5x7 Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Dies, Iridescent Moonshine Sequins, Extra Wide Black Foam Tape Roll, Black Hybrid Ink I hope you enjoyed today's projects.  Don't miss out on the fantastic products in this latest release.    Have a fantastic day!    Much Love,                                                  Sara

A Sweet Little Note

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Apr 28 2023
Happy Friday! Eugy here and I’m thrilled to share with you this card I made using products from the April release! For my latest creation, I used the Watermelon Nectar clear stamp to create a vivid background for the card, and then colored it with Copic Ciao markers to make it even brighter. The stamp has a beautiful watermelon design that makes you feel like you are holding a juicy fruit in your hand. I love how the colors blend together seamlessly, creating a beautiful and eye-catching pattern. Next, I die-cut a slice of watermelon from the A Rainbow for All Seasons set and colored it with Copic Ciao markers. This stand-alone die has a beautiful rainbow design that reminds me of summer days. You can use it to create various shapes and designs, and it's perfect for adding a 3D touch to any project. I also added some details to the die-cut watermelon slice, such as coloring the seeds and adding white gel pen accents, to make it pop even more. Finally, I added a cute sentiment from the Sweet Sweet Dear Stamp & Coordinating Die. The set has various sentiments that are perfect for different occasions. I chose a simple and sweet phrase that says "A Sweet Little Note" to add a personal touch to the card. You can also add your own message to make it even more special. The end result is a beautiful, handmade card that is sure to brighten up anyone's day. Whether it's a birthday greeting, a thank you note, or simply a hello, this card is perfect for showing your loved ones how much you care. So why not surprise and delight your friends and family with such a delightful gift? Don't miss the chance to share your love and creativity this summer with Picket Fence Studios products. Happy crafting and have a nice weekend!
