Beary Christmas!

Hello there! Eugy here, and I'm excited to share this cozy holiday card idea with you all! In this project, I've combined watercolor and hotfoil techniques using products from our latest release. Creating the background was straightforward! I started by hot foiling a toner panel from the Holiday Treasures toner card fronts set using the Brown Bear toner foil. The negative image that remained was too pretty to discard, so I hot foiled it onto the Toil and Trouble toner cardstock. After trimming it down, I attached it over the first panel using some dimensional double-sided tape. Next up - I stamped the adorable bear image and brought it to life using our Paper Splatter Watercolors in shades of Liquid Hydrangea Blue, Liquid Bark Brown, Liquid Christmas Red, and Liquid Christmas Green. To tie it all together, I added a fun sentiment from the same stamp set - Beary Christmas to You, which I adore since this set comes with coordinating dies making it easy to cut out sentiments! Wishing you a wonderful day and happy crafting! Eugy

Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this Christmas card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Stocking Full of Coal Stamps” which I stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad” and then painted with alcohol markers. Then to give the stamps more relief, I used the white Gelly Roll in the areas where I wanted to give shine and the black Micron Pigma in the areas where I wanted to give more depth. For the background I used the “Christmas Whishes Stamps” which I stamped with black ink and also added a strip cut from red cardboard of the "Slimline Scene Building Time for Tea Dies”And for the sentiment I used a phrase from the “Stocking Full of Coal Stamps” that i stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad”.I also added some “Gems mix fire” as decoration. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time!

There are two cards in today's blog post. The first one showcases one of the Kelly Taylor illustrated stamps (I'm a fan!) with a fun background, and the second is a more plain card with a fully coloured panel featuring the new snowman stamp in the no-line colouring technique.

Happy Holidays from All of Us

Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with a holiday card featuring several products from the latest release!! The A Christmas Hello Stamp Set is one of my faves!! I started by stamping the A Christmas Hello Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I knew that I wanted to use one of the papers from the Holiday Traditions Foiling Toner Cardstock Pack for my background, so I colored the bird with neutral colors of Copics, then fussy cut it out. For the background, I trimmed a piece of paper from the Holiday Traditions Foiling Toner Cardstock Pack slightly smaller than A2. Although this toner paper is made to be used with foil, I loved it as the background for this beautiful bird. I spread Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe onto a panel of white cardstock with a palette knife. Once it was dry, I die-cut the More Winter Snowflakes Dies from it and adhered them to the background panel. I trimmed the excess from the edges, then adhered it to an A2 card base. The bird was then adhered with liquid adhesive. The sentiment is from the Mistletoe Kisses Stamp Set. I stamped it onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink, fussy cut it out and popped it up with foam tape. I chose some iridescent snowflakes from the Christmas Flurries Sequin Mix and adhered those to the background to complete the card. This card has so much sparkle and shine, between the iridescent sequins and the paper glaze, it really packs a punch!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great Tuesday!! Brenda

Bears decorate the tree

by Claudia Cubas on Oct 03 2023
Hi craffty friends, Claudia  here with a new story told with a card. I love animal stories and this one tells of two cuddly bears decorating the Christmas tree. For the night background, I used the Mini Haunted Blending Stencil to draw the moon. The magnificent tree is A2 Giant Christmas Tree Die. The bears are from last year's set A Polar Bear Christmas, one of my favourites. I used the 5x7 Double Stitched Rectangle Dies  to create a white frame. To give the sky a shimmering touch, I used the fantastic new  Paper Splatter Watercolor - Liquid Gold . I hope you enjoy my card and I also hope I have inspired you!   Claudia

Inappropriate Christmas shaker

by Silvana Chambon Scarenzio on Sep 26 2023
Hello, everyone! It´s Silvana here and today I´m sharing with you a fun shaker card made with some products of the September release.  For the background I used one of the new sets of Fabulous Foiling Toner Card Fronts: Christmas Goodies. I chose the one with little gingerbread cookies and foiled it with the new Fabulous Toner Foil in Poinsettia Red color. After I peeled away the foil from the card front, I put the negative foil piece (the piece you obtain after, the one that normally ends in the trash) over a piece of Fabulous Toner Foil Cardstock in Christmas Berries Reds. And that´s how I obtained this shinny and gorgeous background. I saved the first piece for other background. It´s a two for one!  I assemble the Martini shaker die and filled it with the new Sequin Mix Plus Santa´s Cookies. To finish the card I added a sentiment from the new More Inappropriate Christmas sentiments stamp set which I heat embossed in white over black cardstock.  To assemble the card, I used Extra Wide Foam White Rectangles to add dimension to the shiny background. The little snowflake detail was made with a die from the Santa´s Hot Cocoa Mug Die.  I hope you like this card and give a funny and inappropriate Christmas a chance!  Thanks for stoping by.  See you in my next post. Silvana.

Have some Christmas Joy

by Sammi Offield on Sep 19 2023
Hey crafty friends! Sammi here to show you a 6x6 card made with the NEW Christmas Joy stamp set from the new release! I just love this stamp set and the cute squirrel! I decided to make a snowy night background and wanted to pair it up with the A Forest Walk stamp for the background. Here is how I made this card! First I inkblended the background with blues for a night look. I used Catherine Pooler inks for my ink. I then stamped the A Forest Walk stamp with the Picket Fence Hybrid Black ink so that it covered the whole card panel. I then took some white acrylic ink and splattered white across to create a snowy background. I then stamped the Christmas Joy stamp set with Picket Fence Black Hybrid ink and then cut it out with my Scan-N-Cut and then colored the images with Copic markers. I started with the greenery and then the florals so I could keep track of the images and the background. This was a great image to color!  I then popped the colored image onto the background with foam tape. I then stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it down to a square and used some red cardstock to mat it. I then popped it onto the card panel with foam tape.  I then added some embellishments from the Santa Cookies embellishments. I then matted the card panel with red cardstock and then glued it onto a 6x6 card base.  I just love how this card came out! This stamp set and AMAZING! The stamp set would be perfect for a A2 sized card to, I just wanted to make a 6x6 to show off a great background with the A Forst Walk stamp set. Here is what you need to make this card!  A Forest Walk – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Christmas Joy – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com) Sequin Mix Plus - Santa's Cookies – Picket Fence Studios (pfstamps.com)

People are my Favorite, Mummy Card Idea.

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Sep 12 2023
Hey there, Eugy here! 🎃 Halloween’s just around the corner and I’m beyond excited to share a couple of card ideas with you. The first one paints a bewitching night scene bathed in moonlight. I created this mystical background using the Haunted Moon Blending Stencil and my Bright Rainbow Paper Pouncers. Gracing the front of my card is an adorable mummy from the People are my Favorite, Mummy stamp set, which I colored with Copic markers and cut out using coordinating dies. And to elevate the spookiness? I incorporated hauntingly versatile branches from the Slim Line Brambles Die. To finish this creation, I added a fun sentiment that’s sure to bring a smile! As for my second treat? A shaker card (my absolute fave!). The background was achieved using alcohol inks, and I filled the shaker with the sparkling Sequin Mix Plus - Candy Corn. The star of this card is the fun image from the Hey Hay Hey stamp set, colored using Copic Ciao markers and cut out with its coordinating die. And the sentiment that accompanies it? Simply delightful! I hope these cards spark your creativity as much as they did mine. Wishing you happy crafting and a spook-tacular Halloween ahead! Eugy 🍂🌙

Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this Halloween card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "A Magical Lot Stamps” which I stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad” and then painted with alcohol markers. Then to give the stamps more relief, I used the white Gelly Roll in the areas where I wanted to give shine and the black Micron Pigma in the areas where I wanted to give more depth. Below I used the “A Magical Lot Coordinating dies” to cut them out, but you can also carefully cut them out with scissors. For the background I used the “A2 Ghost House Cover Plate Die” that I cut in black cardboard and then I prepared a sunset with distress oxide inks in very typical Halloween colors. And for the sentiment I used a phrase from the “A Magical Lot Stamps” that i stamped with the “Black Hybrid ink pad”. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time!

FABULOUS TONER FOILING THANK YOU CARD

by Heejung Hunsberger on Aug 21 2023
Hello Crafty Friends, It is so exciting to share these two thank-you cards featuring the fabulous Toner Foiling sheet from Picket Fence Studios.   Today, I want to share two thank you cards featuring the Autumn Delight Toner Card Front.     I colored the foiled leaves with OLO markers.     "I have never tried Toner Foiling before, but it seems very interesting. The great thing is that it is cheaper than a Toner Foiling Machine, so I didn't need to purchase one since I already have it." It is very easy to do foiling and the result is amazing.  CARD RECIPE: Fabulous Foiling Toner Card Fronts-Autumn Delight Fabulous Toner Foil - Brown Bear Brown Bear Ash Leaves Die Picket Fence Studios THANK YOU Word Die pfsd169     A great tip for applying toner foil to a regular laminator is to fold the regular printer paper in half, place the foil on the toner design paper, and return it to a very hot, heated laminator. Do not use thicker paper instead of regular printer paper."   Thanks for stopping by! I hope this post inspired you to get creative. Hello There - Square Sunflower Card

by Brenda Noelke on Aug 15 2023
Hello, crafty friends!! I hope this finds you all well!! Brenda here with a square, floral card featuring the Golden Sunflower Flowerhead Stamp!! I began by stamping the Golden Sunflower Flowerheads Stamp onto Bristol smooth cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I stamped it again with Versamark Ink, then embossed it with clear detail embossing powder. I colored it with Karin Pro Brushmarkers and added detail to the center with a yellow gel pen. I trimmed the panel to 5.25” square and matted it with white and yellow cardstock before adhering it to a 5.5” square card base. Next, I die-cut the Hello There Word Die once from yellow cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. I stacked and adhered them together, with the top layer slightly offset. A sprinkling of All About the Yellows Sequins finishes off the card. That’s it for me today!! Sunflowers are such an iconic fall flower and definitely one of my favorite blooms!! This set is so much fun to color!! Thanks for stopping by!! Brenda
