Hello there! Lisa here with you today to share a fun retro slimline card featuring the new Misshapen Stitched Circle Dies. This is a really cool set of dies, and as soon as I saw them, I thought it would be fun to embrace the misshapenness (is that even a word?!) and create a card with a funky vibe.
So I picked out a palette of colours from my stash of cardstock that I thought would play well together and set about cutting them with the dies. You get eight dies to play with and I used them all for this card. The good thing is that I also have plenty left over for another card.
Next I cut a 3.25" x 8.25" Neenah Solar White 80lb panel using a rectangle die from the Slim Line Die Cutting System set and started arranging the circles across the card. It took me a while to settle on a final design but once I had, I then just adhered them down using wet adhesive and trimmed off the excess from the sides. This panel was then matted onto some black cardstock and then onto a side folding slimline note card.
To finish the card I took the Thank You sentiment stamp and stamped it onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I love how this pops against the other colours not only because it is black and white, but also because it is a large sentiment. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was then trimmed to size and added onto my panel using foam tape.
Aren't the misshapen circles fun? Lots of possibilities for these as you can use them with images and on their own. Cut out of Paper Glitz panels they would be great fun!
Don't forget that you can catch Nicole this evening (16th Feb) at 6.00 PM CT as she is doing a live over on the Picket Fence Community Facebook page. See you next time and happy crafting!

Chloe's Garden Twofer Design with a Fun Easter Palette
by Daniel West on Feb 13 2022
1
Hey there, everyone, Daniel West here with one of my favorite ways to create different looks for a set of cards. I switch up the composition of the projects but keep the techniques the same.
For this set of cards I used with one of my favorite color palettes for spring -- pink, peach and green. I used some Life-changing Blender Brush action, heat-embossing and Copic coloring on both cards with the same color palette. So the feel of the cards stays the same while the look changes.
Picket Fence Studios Featured Products:
Chloe's Garden stamps and dies
Hippity Hoppity to All stamps and dies
Endless Clouds stamp
The Bunny Express sequin mix
A2 Tall Grass and Waves with Tiles and Wood Floors
Life-changing Blender Brushes
Black Hybrid Ink
For my first card, I stamped the Endless Clouds stamp onto the panel horizontally a few times with WOW Embossing Ink. Then, I melted some WOW! White Puff Embossing Powdering over them with a heat tool.
Then, I brushed onto the front some Bellini Ink from Catherine Pooler in a gradient and stamped a horizon of grass on the bottom with from the A2 Tall Grass and Waves with Tiles and Wood Floors stamp set with In the Park Ink.
Next, I stamped images from Chloe's Garden stamp set out onto some X-Press It Card with Picket Fence Hybrid Ink and colored them in with W, YR and YG Copic markers. After that, I die cut them out with their coordinating dies and popped them up along the bottom of the card front with foam tape.
Then, I die cut some grass out with the die from the Hippity Hoppity to All dies and pressed it into the In the Park Ink pad. Next, I popped up the grass over the colored images with foam tape.
To finish off this card, I stamped a sentiment from the Chloe's Garden stamp set with Picket Fency Hybrid Ink and die cut it out with the coordinating die. Then, I popped it up with foam too, and glued down some Bunny Express Sequins.
For my second card, I did much the same, but masked off the top and bottom with Mint Tape and only heat embossed and inked up the unmasked section.
The grass and sequins are the same but I did not die cut grass for this one. The sentiment comes from the Hippity Hoppity to All stamp set and I fussy cut it out. Also, I trimmed the panel down a 1/4" on all sides and popped it up on foam tape over an A2 card base.
thank you for joining me today on the blog! If you're feeling inspired to shop for the items I used to create these cards, you will find a grid of supplies below for your convenience. Hello dear friends, Valentine's Day is approaching and I created the card that I will give to my husband. It's not always easy to create cards for men, but I believe that men have kind souls too, especially him who loves animals. That's why I added these little bunnies. All in shades of blue that he loves.
To create it I prepared the background using the stencil Slim Line Raimbow of Hearts with my Life Changing Blender Brush
I then prepared the paper for the word Love from the set Mini Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles applying it in this gorgeous blue Paper Gliz Navy Wingtips, let it dry well and die cut it.
I then die cut Love in black and white to give depth to the wording.
And here is my finished card, a couple of half pearls Gradient Flatback Pearls Navy Blu and Charcoal Gray to give shine.
I'm happy with the result and I think my love will like it too!!!

Hello there, Lisa here with you today to share this slimline shaker card with you. For my card today, I am using the new Slim Line Rainbow Of Hearts Stencil, the Somebunny Loves You stamps and coordinating dies, the Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die, plus some Paper Glaze, Shaker Garnish and sequins. Basically everything is included but the kitchen sink!
I started by taking a panel of white cardstock and securing the Slim Line Rainbow of Hearts stencil to it using low tack tape. On my work surface I mixed some Snowdrop White Paper Glaze into a small amount of Jade Vine, Ocean Poppy and Lime Zinnia Paper Glazes. I then applied each of them through the stencil using a spatula. After I had finished applying the glazes, I used a Deco Foil Stencil Pal to smooth it out. Once dry, I trimmed the panel using a scalloped die from SLDCS Scallop Frames dies.
I then stamped the two bears, the bunny and balloon from Somebunny Loves You onto some 80lb white cardstock using Black Hybrid Ink. They were coloured with Copics (numbers below) and cut out using the coordinating dies. I also die cut the Happy Day sentiment from SLDCS Nested Rectangles dies and set all of those items to one side.
To make the shaker front, I took a large piece of acetate and die cut it with the Slim Line Full Front Shaker die. This is a clever die as it will cut the flaps that you will then use to secure the acetate at the back of your panel. Next I added some double sided tape onto the back of the stencilled panel in preparation for securing the acetate. I removed the backing tape from three of the sides of the panel, placed the panel face down onto the acetate and folded each of the three flaps back over the inserted panel. So, at this point, I have created a pocket for my shaker mix - with an opening on one side.
Next it was time to add the mix into the shaker pocket. I used some Spring Fling and Spiked Ocean Water sequins and bulked the mix up with some Iridescent Clear and Spring Green Shaker Garnish. Once all of that was inside the pocket, I removed the backing tape from the remaining side of the panel and secured the remaining acetate flap down, trapping the mix inside.
To finish the card, I adhered the shaker pocket onto a top folding horizontal slim line base card using double sided tape. I then added the critters and sentiment on using wet adhesive. And that finished the card for today! I hope that this gives you some inspiration for making a slim line shaker. Having the die makes it a very easy process. Until next time, happy crafting!
Copics used: Bears (E44, E43, E42, E41, R22, R20, CB), Bunny (W4, W3, W2, W1, R22, R20, CB), Bag (YG05, YG03, YG01), Bow Tie (BG32, BG11), Balloon (BG32, BG11, BG10)

"Into The Woods" Slim Line Shaker Card with Rachelle
by Rachelle Oltean on Jan 24 2022
Hello! It's Rachelle here and I'm so excited to share this slim line shaker card I created by combining lots of different Picket Fence Studios' products!
This design came together pretty quickly with the help of a couple key products. First - the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die" Set and secondly, the NEW "Slim Line Woods Cover Plate Die" Set! I started by die cutting the woods die scene from heavy-weight white card stock and selectively trimming a few trees/branches from the image. I chose to edit this because I wanted a bit more space for the shaker garnish to be seen and to highlight the deer die cut. Once trimmed, I watercolored just the leaves in a bright green and the die cut was glued onto a piece of charcoal gray card stock. This is almost a reverse silhouette design and all of the components really pop off of that charcoal background!
I created a white frame by using the slim line rectangular insert from the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die" and a smaller rectangle from the "Slim Line Nested Rectangles Dies". This frame was cut twice and glued/stacked together and adhered on top of the woods panel. I die cut a piece of thin packaging acetate with the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die", adhered double-sided tape along three sides of the back of the woods panel and wrapped the acetate around to adhere it into place. I chose to use the NEW "Spring Green Shaker Garnish" as my fill (to match my green leaves) and carefully poured about a tablespoon into my shaker panel. Then all I had to do was to close up the remaining shaker flap on the backside with the double-sided tape and the panel was adhered to the front of a slim line card base.
I die cut the sentiment from brushed silver card stock using the "Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles Die Cutting System" and the running buck ("More Deer Family Dies") from gray card stock. Both of these die cuts were carefully adhered to the shaker acetate with liquid adhesive to finish up the design! I just love how that Spring Green Shaker Garnish easily moves inside the card front and works both as leaves and grass in this scene! I highly encourage you to try some of the NEW Shaker Garnish colors - they are so light weight and really add a unique shaker element especially when combined with Picket Fence Studios' Sequins/Sequins Mix Plus options!
Thanks so much for joining me today! Happy Crafting - Rachelle : )

This month's release from Picket Fence Studios includes a new addition to the Zodiac Girls series, Aries Girl.
I decided to use red and black as my colour palette because the colour associated with the zodiac sign Aries is red. Aries is also ruled by the planet Mars, and Mars is the god of war, and is also associated with red. However, I did not use any red alcohol ink in the background. I used black alcohol ink, smoulder alcohol pearl (which is a bronze/brown colour) and Stirling alcohol alloy ink (the silver). The red colour at the top and bottom edge came from the black ink separatinng into its component colours. I coloured Aries Girl with Copic markers.
Thanks for visiting :)

Hey makers, welcome back, it's Sandi here and it's RELEASE DAY at Picket Fence Studios. There are so many fabulous new products being released today and I have linked them all at the end of this post for you.I have 5 card inspirations to share with you using many of the new products. So let's jump right in and check them out.
Picket Fence Studios NEW Release - Card #1
I combined a couple of new products for this one.
Stamp the background repeatedly with the new Leaves in a Stream stamp and then create a shaker card base with it.
Next, I ink blended a rainbow and stamped the new Butterfly Beauties over it. Cut them out with the coordinating dies and added them to the top of the shaker card.
Inside the shaker card I have the Spring Fling Sequin Mix mixed with the NEW Shaker Garnish in clear and soft green.
Card #2 was so fun to create.
Start with the New Rainbow of hearts stencil and ink blend a rainbow of colors through it.
I used Distress Oxides: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feather and Villainous Portion.
Next, I colored this adorable teddy bear from the NEW Somebunny Loves You stamp and die combination.
Card #3 - More Books & Friends
This fabulous new More Books & Friends Stamp and Die Combo is so fun to create scenes with.
Great pieces to create a living room scene which I colored with my Copics.
Additionally, use the Books are Friends die to create a Library background in your reading space.
I also combined the Tall Grass & Waves With Tile and Wood Floors stamp set to stamp and color my floor
Finally, I used the new Flowers & Polka Dots Stencil to create the wallpaper.
Card #4 - Picket Fence Studios NEW Release.
The BFF girls are back. This new BFF Girls Find Your Tribe stamp set has 4 girls, in a smaller format that previous releases, and a great selection of sentiments.
Create the background by ink blending through the new Stencil and Flowers Polka Dot Stencil and overlay the NEW A2 Lattice Oval and Trimmings Dies.
I added an extra bit of bling with the Celebration Sequin Mix.
Card #5 - SLIMLINE WOODS
I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite Slimline Die from this collection. Slimline Woods cuts out all those fabulous trees.
I cut mine from Simon's Fog cardstock.
Next, ink blend the background in Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers.
I decided on a afternoon light silhouette scene, so did my images in Kraft card instead of black.
Finally, the sentiment is from the Fancy Daily Sentiments stamp and die set from the April 2021 release.
I hope you enjoyed today's cards and links to the entire new product line are below for you.

Hello there! Today I have a card for you featuring Pisces Girl, which was released last month. She is the latest in the Horoscope Girls range and I had to ink her up as I have a birthday in February and am therefore a Pisces girl! All the Horoscope girls are fun to colour. They have amazing hair and in Pisces Girl you can see she has lots of little fish in her hair - so cute!
I began by stamping her onto white cardstock using Black Hybrid Ink. I coloured her with Copics and cut her out with the coordinating die. The Copic numbers are listed below if you are interested.
For my background I took a panel of white cardstock and the Taylored Expressions Rectangle Masking Stencil. I secured the stencil to my panel from behind using Frog Tape. In the A2 Tall Grass And Waves With Tile & Wood Floors stamp set, there is a wave stamp which I thought would fit well on my card today. So I took that and stamped it onto my panel, from top to bottom, using Versamark Ink. I removed the stencil, applied HA White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
I reattached the stencil once more and then using Life Changing Blender Brushes I blended Distress Oxides from top down. I used Chipped Sapphire, Prize Ribbon, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. I deliberately didn't blend the ink all the way to the bottom as I wanted the area under the sentiment to be clear but you can still see the waves which I like. The embossed waves resist the ink and this is always a fun technique.
Once I finished the blending, I removed the stencil and then cleaned off any excess ink from the waves using a soft towel.
The wave panel was adhered flat onto a base card and Pisces Girl was popped up with foam tape. I then took a sentiment from Merpeople Of The Sea and stamped it onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white detail embossing powder and heat set before trimming it out to fit the width of my panel. This was also added with foam tape.
Even though there is quite a lot going on on this card, I do think that it still has a CAS feel to it and I loved how it came together. Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a good day. Happy crafting!
Copics used: Skin (E70, E53, E51, E50, R20), Lips (R14, R22, R21), Hair (YR23, Y21, Y23, Y32, E50) Fish (BG32, BG11, B01, B00)

Sending Sympathy with Rachelle
by Rachelle Oltean on Jan 05 2022
Hello there - it's Rachelle with you today and unfortunately, I needed several sympathy cards during this past Christmas holiday. I made multiples of the same design and I'd like to share this layout.
This is a mini-slimline design that started with an ink-blended background using the Slim Line Lots of Blossoms Stencil and a selection of blue Distress Oxide Inks. This panel was die cut using the larger rectangle from the Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles Die Cutting System. The Slim Line Oversized With Sympathy Word Die was cut from navy card stock, glued onto the stencil panel and the overhang was trimmed from the back side.
This panel was attached to a piece of pearlized aqua card stock and then adhered to a slim line card base. The card was finished up with a scattering of the beautiful pearly gray gems from the Moon Shadow Gem Mix. Thanks so much for joining me today!
Hugs - Rachelle
