bats dt lisabeth dt liz ghost house halloween ink blending lantern light up paper pouncers witch

Hello everyone!

It is Liz here today and I simply couldn't pick just one project to show you this month. Sooooo, there are three in this post, all Halloween. Halloween is one of the holidays we put extra effort into because the kids love it. It's not such a big thing here, but we love carving pumpkins and the kids love to dress up. The pumpkins are appreciated by others as well, as several have mentioned they come by just to look at them! Is Halloween something you enjoy as well?

Right, my cards, that's why I'm here! First off I have a card where I've had fun with ink blending and stencils. I blended some purples for the background and then used the Haunted Moon blending stencil and then Flying Witch A2 stencil with a few bats from the Bat stencil. I used the Paper Pouncers for all of this and they are simply perfect for intricate stencils! Have you tried them? If not, I think you should.

I've also used the alphabet from the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies set and put them on sort of wonky, because why not! And then I simply hand wrote a couple of words to finish off the sentiment. I then put some stars from the Pumpkin Patch sequin mix around the sentiment area.

Speaking And then I played around with die cuts and EZ lights. It was my first time making a light up card and it was so much fun! I die cut the Creepy Halloween Lantern die many times and then cut out a part along the stem of the tree where I put the wiring. The button itself, for activating the lights, where put under a hand I die cut and then fussy cut before writing Press Me on it.

The sentiment and tombstone are both from the Ghosts of Halloweens Past set.

Here you can see it all lit up when the hand is pressed. Isn't it such a cool effect?

Right, so I said three project and here is number three. More ink blending! I've used the same Haunted Moon blending stencil as on the first card. Here the main focus was the A2 Ghost House Cover Plate die, which I cut out a few times and glued together for dimension. I then embossed the Boo! sentiment from the Ghosts of Halloweens Past set in matching glittery purple and added some matching sequins from the I'm Alive embellishment jar

Here is a side on view of the card so you can see the dimension the multiple die cuts create.

And that's me done for this time! Have a great week and I hope you have loads of fun making Halloween cards!
