Deep Waters with Ceal

Hello Everyone! It's Ceal here! Right now times are tough and everyone could use a little encouragement so I have been making cards to send out to friends and family just to let them know I am thinking about them.  To create this card I started with a white top folding card base and a bristol panel, I have found that ink blends really well using the Life Changing Blender Brushes and Bristol card stock.  I started by blending Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean distress oxide inks with the  Life Changing Blender Brushes and a little water to create my...

Early Tulip Bouquet Cards Two Ways with Erica

Hi everyone!  It’s Erica here on the PFS blog today, with two spring-feel cards, using the lovely Early Tulip Bouquet stamp.  The first one is a simple sympathy card, with the image part coloured with water colours and lots of white space.  I stamped up the Tulips along the right hand bottom corner, using the Black Hybrid Ink. On this card I kept it horizontally. This is Ranger water colour paper and I used the smooth side. After setting the ink with a heat tool, I used some purple tape and taped the panel down. I placed the tape over...

Have You Tried Paper Glaze?

Always Word Die Fancy Flourishes Stencil Judy Rozema Paper Glaze Snowdrop White Paper Glaze

Have You Tried Paper Glaze?

The new Paper Glaze at Picket Fence Studios is so much fun to work with! This is the Snowdrop White on red cardstock with the Always Word Die and Fancy Flourishes Stencil. I taped my stencil down with Purple Tape, and then used a palette knife to apply the glaze. You have to work fairly quickly, as it dries quickly! Once completely dry, I adhered my word die (cut from Silver Metallic cardstock, and backed with red and gray cardstock) and some fun clear rhinestones for added shine! A super elegant valentine or anniversary card!  Be sure to check out...

Hello from Michelle Lupton

Hello! Michelle Lupton here today to share an alcohol ink card using dies and a stamp from the February release from Picket Fence Studios.   I started with a panel of Yupo and added some alcohol inks in blues and greens. I then took some black cardstock and die cut the "Hello" word die three times and layered them up. I cut the shadow from vellum, adhered the word to the shadow and then covered it with Glossy Accents to give a glassy shine. I decided I needed a bit more, so I stamped the sentiment from Favorite Notification and...

Current of Fish with Mindy Eggen

Current of Fish with Mindy Eggen

Hello everyone! Mindy here with you today and  I have a fun card to share using products from the Picket Fence Studios release. There is a new stencil out called Current of Fish that is an amazing design! I started by ink blending a panel of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide with my Life Changing Blender Brushes. Then flicked with water and dabbed it up with a paper towel. This effect looks awesome when creating an underwater scene. I sprayed my stencil with Pixie Spray to temporarily attach it to my...
