Thanks - You're the Best Eclipse Card

by Brenda Noelke on Jan 07 2025
Hello, crafty friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! Brenda here with an eclipse floral thank you card featuring the Southern Magnolias Stamp Set from the latest December 2024 release!! This stamp set (Illustrated by Kelly Taylor) is sooooo much fun to color!! I began by stamping the Southern Magnolias Stamp onto Bristol smooth cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. I colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then used the second largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Cover Plate Die Set. The Stacked Thanks Word Die was cut from the center of the panel. Be sure to save all the pieces from the center of the word die-cut. A panel of pink cardstock was cut with the largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Cover Plate Die and the negative of the floral background was adhered to it. I die-cut the Stacked Thanks Word Die four times from heavyweight white cardstock and once from the same pink cardstock. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue with the pink layer slightly offset, then adhered into the background. The "inner" pieces were adhered back in place. The "you're the best" sentiment, from the Blooming Trumpet Flower Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with pink dye ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I die-cut it two more times from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered it behind the stamped one before adding it to the center of the card with liquid glue. I haven't made an eclipse card in a long time!! I forgot how cool they were!! The dimension is amazing and so much easier to see in person!! That does it for me!! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by today!! Brenda

Thank You for Your Love and Support

by Brenda Noelke on Nov 15 2024
Hello, friends and happy Friday!! Brenda back with you today!! I'm sharing a card created with a few goodies from yesterday's release!! The critters in the Peach and Piper: Bad Weather Friends Stamp Set are just darling!! I created a thank you card that's perfect to send to that special person who is always there to love and support you!! I started by stamping the sentiment and the adorable image from the Peach and Piper: Bad Weather Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, darkened the eyes with a black gel pen, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die, along with the sentiment. For the background, I die-cut the heart cover plate die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set from white cardstock. A panel of pink cardstock was die-cut with the smallest rectangle die in the same die set. The second largest die in the same set was cut from aqua cardstock. The panels were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue. A wide strip of vellum was wrapped around the top and bottom of the panel and adhered to the back with liquid glue. The layers were adhered to an A2 white card base, also using liquid glue. The large "thanks" was die-cut from aqua and black cardstock using the A2 Lots of Thanks Cover Plate Die. They were adhered together, slightly offset and adhered to the front of the card. The critter and sentiment die-cuts were popped up with foam tape. Sequins from the Carnival Day and Taking Off Sequin Mixes finish off the card. I just LOVE everything about this card...the colors, darling critters and that heartfelt sentiment!! Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Be sure to check out the complete release over in the Picket Fence Shop!! Have a wonderful weekend!! Brenda

Lots of Thanks: Coloring Diecuts with Copics

by Andrea Shell on Jul 23 2024
Hi there! It's Andrea with you, and today I'm sharing a colorful card featuring some new products from Picket Fence Studios' July release. I am loving the fall vibe of this release! I couldn't resist this cute squirrel from the Layered Fauna: For the Love of Mushrooms Squirrel Die! Isn't he adorable?! I diecut the base from white cardstock and the detail layer from several colors of cardstock. I added shading to the detail pieces with Copic markers before gluing them to the white base. That awesome background is from the new Autumn Scenery Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts. I chose to frame it with the Trees Silhouette Cover Plate A2 Die, which I cut from white cardstock and colored with Copics. The grass is from the Scene Building: Grass Tufts Die. I diecut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics, also. I adhered my background panel to a cardbase and attached the trees and grass with foam tape. I stamped a sentiment from the Freckled Friends: Penelope Pumpkin stamp set with gray ink and diecut it with the coordinating dies. I glued the sentiment to my card and popped up my colored image with foam, finishing with some white highlights. Thanks for stopping by! Thank You - Blooming Trumpet Flowers

by Brenda Noelke on Jun 05 2024
Hello, crafty friends!! I hope you are all doing well!! Brenda here with a thank you card featuring the gorgeous Blooming Trumpet Flowers Stamp Set, along with a few other goodies from the latest May release!! I began by stamping the flower and leaves from the Blooming Trumpet Flowers Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added dots to the stamen with a yellow gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. Next, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the smallest die in the A2 Rectangle Layering Die Set. I stenciled Paper Glaze Luxe: Twinkle Lights - Purple onto the panel through the You Make the World Shimmer A2 Stencil with a palette knife. Once dry, it was adhered to a panel of purple gingham cardstock from the Sweet Gingham Fabulous Glossy Cardstock Pack. The sentiment, also from the Blooming Trumpet Flowers Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. The sentiment, flowers and leaves were all popped up with foam tape. Sequins from the Razzle Dazzle and All About the Purple sequin mixes finish off the card. Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a fabulous Wednesday!! Brenda
