Happy 12th Birthday

by Brenda Noelke on Jun 17 2024
Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with you today!! I hope you had a great weekend!! I'm sharing a card today featuring a few goodies from the new June release combined with several older products!! My niece will be 12 in December and she loves purple, so this will be prefect for her!! I started by stamping the cupcake from the Sweet Holiday Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored it with Copic markers, added dots to the stamen with a white gel pen, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die. I also stamped the "12" candles from the Blow Out the Candles Stamp Set onto white cardstock with purple die ink and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. For the background, I stenciled the Sprinkles 6x8 Layering Stencils onto white cardstock using dye inks and blender brushes, then die-cut it with the middle sized arched die in the Basic Die-cutting Die Set 1. I die-cut a frame from pink cardstock using the smallest and middle dies from the same die set. The sprinkled panel and frame were adhered to a card front from the Birthday Bash Fabulous Foiling A2 Card Fronts pack. The cupcake and candles were adhered with liquid glue. For the sentiment, I die-cut "birthday" three times from white cardstock and once from black cardstock using the Happy Birthday Word Die Set. I used a Pint-size Paper Pouncer to pounce one of the white layers with purple dye ink. All of the layers were adhered together with liquid glue, slightly offsetting the black layer, then adhered across the cupcake liner. "Happy" is also from the Sweet Holiday Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with purple ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. Another layer was die-cut from black ink. They were adhered together with the black layer offset and popped up with black foam tape. Sound Waves Gems were adhered to the top of the candles and around the sentiment to finish off the card. Thanks so much for spending a bit of your Monday with me!! Have a great week!! Brenda

Sweet Birthday card featuring Wreath Building Cupcakes for You stamp

by Andrea Shell on Jan 22 2024
Hi there! It's Andrea here sharing my first project for Picket Fence Studios featuring products from their January release. This release has so many wonderful products for creating birthday cards, which I'm sure we as cardmakers need alot of! Those adorable cupcakes are from the Wreath Building Cupcakes for You stamp set. I stamped them with Black Hybrid Ink, starting with the middle cupcake first and then masking it to add the cupcakes on each side. Next, I colored the images with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen. I stamped a sentiment from the set under my cupcakes and diecut the panel with the 2.0" Connected Squares Shaker Creator Dies. I cut the red, scalloped mat with the Slimline Stiched and Scalloped Rectangles and Alpha Die Cutting System and attached my stamped square on top with foam tape. For that colorful background, I used the new 6"x8" Sprinkles Layering Stencils. Looking at my card, I obviously had some of the stencils turned incorrectly as the set is designed to have perfectly spaced sprinkles with no overlap. However, you really can't go wrong with these stencils! To create my background, I placed an A2 panel of white cardstock onto the 5"x6" Paper Inking Palette and applied dye inks with the Bright Rainbow Pint-sized Paper Pouncers. For the fifth and final stencil, I used a palette knife to apply Chocolate Frosting Paper Glaze Luxe. I love the texture and bit of sparkle the glaze gives! Once the panel was dry, I adhered it to a white card and affixed my layered squares with foam tape. Thanks for stopping by! If you haven't already, be sure to check out the January release. There are bundles available at a great price! *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

A Yummy Treat For Someone So Sweet

by Brenda Noelke on Jan 15 2024
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda here with you on this frigid Monday!! I hope you are staying safe and warm!! My goodness, is it cold outside!! It's the perfect weather to stay inside and do some baking, unless one of your resolutions is to cut back on sweets. In that case, I have the perfect solution...paper cookies!! Ha!! The newest January Release is chock-full of yummy cakes, cookies and treats to make your cards absolutely delicious!! I began by die-cutting the cookies and frosting bags in the Scene Building: Cookie Making Die Set from cream, white, red and pink cardstock. This set is so versatile!! There are so many dies to customize your cookies for different occasions!! The cookie sheet was cut from frosted silver cardstock. I added a bit of blending around the outside the cookies with brown ink and a Life Changing Blender Brush. I adhered all of the elements together and adhered the cookies to the pan with liquid glue, then added highlights with a white gel pen. For the background, I blended red and pink dye inks onto the first four layers of the Sprinkles 6x8 Layering Stencil Set with Life Changing Blender Brushes. I spread pink glaze in the Paper Glaze Velvet Soft Pastel Sampler Set onto the final layer with a palette knife. Once dry, I trimmed it slightly and adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock. The cookie sheet was adhered with liquid glue and the frosting bags were adhered with a combination of liquid glue at the tip and foam tape toward the opening of each bag. I trimmed the excess from the right side. The sentiment, from the Lick the Bowl Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto pink cardstock and trimmed into a narrow strip. It was popped up toward the bottom of the card with foam adhesive to finish it off. Be sure to check out the entire January Release in the shop!! It will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth!! Thank you so much for spending a bit of your Monday with me!! I appreciate your time!! Brenda
