Just Because

Happy Wednesday! It's Ceal here. Today I am sharing a card using the Tropical Hibiscus Bouquet stamp set.  To create this card I started with a white top folding card base, a black panel and a white heavystock panel for the image. I stamped the image with our black hybrid ink and then watercolored it using Karin markers. I love how these watercolor markers have so much pigment and are so bright.  For the greeting I used a sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments stamp set stamped in versamark ink on black and then embossed with white powder. Happy release day! Two of the brand new stamps released today are zodiac signs - Libra Girl and Virgo Girl. I went with a gold theme for Virgo Girl. I coloured her with Copic markers, giving her blonde hair and a gold background (using the Coloring Book Stencil and Distress Oxide Inks).  I added some sparkle to her hair and earrings, too. I finished the cards with a sentiment from Fancy Sentiments. For my 2nd card, I used the Centre Flower Stencil with one of the new Paper Glaze trios. I coloured the girl with Copic markers again, and finished...

Hi with Susie Moore

Happy Monday! Do you ever look at a large stamp and wonder if you can do it justice? I know I do. And sometimes what that looks like to me is returning to simplicity. Cue the gold embossing powder and black card stock. This beautiful wreath stamp was begging to fill a card front with elegance and using fewer products helped to make it work. A side benefit to using fewer products is that a card becomes quick and easy and that is always a plus for me! Design does not have to be complicated to be beautiful. I have...

Color Blocked Wild Daisies

Hey cardmaking friends, welcome back.  Sandi here and today I have Color Blocked Wild Daisies to share with you.  I have been circling back around to some cardmaking techniques I have enjoyed in the past and color blocking came to mind.  I decided to do a little masking to create the Stripes and use my Distress Oxide Inks for the blending.  The beautiful Wild Daisies outline stamp from Picket Fence Studios was perfect for this application with it's big bold image. How to create the Color Blocking Technique Start by masking off the left side of the card front with...
