News — Distress Oxide Inks

Hello Stampers and Happy Friday! Becky Roberts here from Inking Idaho with a pretty tulip card.  We have a very, very short window of tulip growth here in Idaho, so when I see them I really enjoy them.  I stamped the Early Tulip Bouquet stamp with the Picket Fence Black ink pad.  I colored it in with a few Copic markers and then hand cut it out.  I turned the image over and on the backside, gently rubbed with a big ball stylus giving each flower a little bubble shape to it.  Then I added a foam square to the...

I have a bold floral card to share today, using stamps from the May release. I white embossed the image from "A Rose" in the top left and bottom right of a piece of Canson watercolour paper. I painted the image using Distress Oxide inks in a variety of blue, pink and red colours. I added a sentiment from the Bird of Paradise Flowers stamp set white embossed onto a scrap of black cardstock. I finished with some sequins from the Gin and Tonic sequin mix.   Did you know? Hello!  I couldn't decide what I wanted to share with you today so I am sharing two encouragement cards and one belated birthday card!   I watercolored the beautiful Ponchatoula Strawberries image and then highlighted several areas with Inktense Pencils.  This set comes with a coordinating die set which allows you to not only die-cut this large image but several smaller leaves, flowers, and berries as well!  The berries overflow the gorgeous Terranium Die in silver foil.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from the amazing Face the Sun stamp set. Have you ever been playing with a product, and had a random "I wonder..." go through your mind?  This happened to me recently, with the Paper Glazes - I wondered how they would work in silicone molds.  So, I quickly dug out a mold, and filled a few spots with the Snowdrop White Paper Glaze.
