Hello Everyone!  It's Ceal and I am sharng a card I made for the Coffee Lover Fall/Winter bloghop.  To create this crd I started with a white card base, black cardstock, white cardstock, some patterned paper and the Sponsored by Coffee set along with the coordinating die.  I stamped the coffee cup image once on white cardstock and once on patterned paper. I fussy cut the cups out and paper pieced them on the stamped image and colored the rest using Copic markers.  Next using the coordinating die I cut out the entire image an popped them up on the card front with foam tape. I used the Funky Leaves stencil along ith the Life Changing Blender Brushes to create the background and to finish the ard I stamped the sentiment directly on the card front in the right corner.      Below you will find links to the products used. Slim Line Diecutting System cards with Erica!

by Erica Andersson-Burke on Nov 10 2020
Hi guys! It’s Erica back on the blog today with some cards made with previously made backgrounds and the Slim Line Diecutting System! I have a habit of making more backgrounds than I need when I’m on a roll, just to be on the safe side... and because I really like it. What can I say? Ink blending, stencilling and ink smooshing is so much fun! It does lead to a big pile of backgrounds, which do come in handy when you then want to play with the Slim Line Diecutting System.  I started out by using the smaller rectangle on a panel made with the Slim Line Dashes. After ink blending with the stencil, I spritz water on top of the left over ink, then place water colour paper on top and press down to “print”. This gives a bit of a water coloured look, and it’s a great way to get at least one more extra background out of your ink blending! On this rectangle I then used the forest silhouette square, three times. The negatives I kept for a second card. These I added to a white rectangle with foam tape, stamped up a sentiment from Inside Quotes: Christmas in Black Hybrid Ink and added a generous sprinkling of Gin & Tonic sequins with the help of Glossy Accents.  The first panel I adhered to a background made with the Stars Stencil and Artemisa Silver Paper Glaze on white pearlescent card stock. This one was also finished off with a simple sentiment from the Inside Quotes: Christmas stamp set and Black Hybrid Ink.  Using another pre coloured panel, this one with a now VERY discounted Peony Bouquet stamp set, I used the stitched circle to cut out the flowers from it. Here is a fun tip: You don’t have to use the cutouts lined up straight on your background. On this card I didn’t even cut them out as full circles, just to change things up further!  The card base was made with one white rectangle, and layered up with one smaller cut out of green card stock. This one had a little texture added to it by inks blending some green ink through the Slim Line Dashes stencil with a Life Changing Blender Brush. The sentient is from Seriously Literally, and is stamped with Black Hybrid ink on white card stock, then trimmed down and adhered to the card across the circles.  I also had a background made with the Slim Line Floral stencil and Golden Rose Paper Glaze on white card stock. I love this combo, it’s so elegant. I decided to turn this into a wedding card, but had to fix a little problem. I managed to smudge the paper glaze when I put it on, I might have overworked it a little or not covered the stencil with enough Pixie Spray. To cover it up, I used the stitched circle over it and simply cut out the bad bit.  This one was finished off with a gold heat embossed sentiment from Fancy Sentiment stamp set, and some Candy Corn Shot sequins along the edge of the sentiment banner.  The last card is made with another slim line stencil, this time the Radial one and one of my fave colour combos for it: Yellow, orange and red. I love this look so much and made so many with this combo. Too many maybe... Anyway! I used the stitched circle again, and cut out the middle of the panel. On the back of this I adhered acetate to create a see-through window, and all around the edges and the circle I added foam tape.  This whole shebang was adhered to a dark grey card base, cut to size with the larger rectangle, after a good amount of sequins from the Candy Corn Shot sequin mix was added to the window. As it’s a shaker card I thought this sentiment ‘this card contains a lot of nuts and bolts’, from the So Franken Cute stamp set, was a fun way to finish it off.  Well, with that last one, that is it from me but I really hope you like these cards and found a good dose of inspiration here. The Slim Line Diecutting System really does give you so many different ways to make cards, and it really is so much fun to try them out! There will be a YouTube video coming to the Picket Fence Studios channel for these cards too, so make sure you subscribe to the channel and click that bell to get a notification when a new video is uploaded!  Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Hello!  Happy Monday to you!  Today I am sharing this bright and happy thank you card.  The Bee Fierce Stamp set and Coordinating Dies remind me of when my husband used to be a beekeeper!  Even though my husband no longer has bees we still get a kick out of seeing bee boxes in the fields along tree lines when we take road trips!  First I blended ink with a LC Blender Brush through the Honeycomb Stencil then I stamped the Thank You directly on the card front. Lastly, I sprinkled a few Irish Coffee Sequins Mix.  Picket Fence Studios Sequin Mixes are on my list of Favorite Things and now Picket Fence Studios carries a beautiful Sequin Mix Display Case that can also be used for reinker bottles as well!.  It's not only useful it's beautifully crafted!   Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hello! It's Michelle here today, and I'm sharing my very first attempt at a new technique (well, new to me!) I added the kaleidoscope stencil over my gel press, and  then added two colours of alcohol ink and one colour of alcohol pearls. I brayered them over the stencil, then removed the stencil and allowed them to dry. I then brayered a thin layer of  white acrylic gouache over the top and took a print from the gel press. I finished the card with the Thankyou for being you sentiment stamp and some Gin and Tonic sequins. Thanks for visiting :)

Hello!  Or should I say, "Hello, Lovely!"  I hope you are having a fabulous week!  Today, I am sharing a pretty slim line card featuring the NEW Slim Line Die Cutting System!  As you've probably already heard, this Die Cutting System is so easy to use and offers endless possibilities!  For my card, I paired it with some patterned paper and Beautiful Girl Karen!     First, I die cut the smaller rectangle from some plaid patterned paper.  Then I layered that on top of some white card stock die cut with the larger rectangle.  This created the base panel for my card.  Then I used the tree square from the set and die cut that from some white card stock.  I trimmed around the edges to create a white border and then layered that onto some black card stock and trimmed again.  Then I adhered it to the top of my card panel.  I stamped, colored, and die cut my image and popped her in the center of the frame using foam tape.  Then I die cut and layered up my "lovely" sentiment.  I adhered that just below my image.  The "hello" sentiment is from the Dragon Fruit stamp set.  I heat embossed that in white and trimmed it into a rectangle.  Then I added it just over the bottom of my "lovely" sentiment.  A few Gin and Tonic Sequins finish this card off!  I just love how it turned out and it was so easy to create!   Products Used:   Black Hybrid Ink Gin and Tonic Sequin Mix Beautiful Girl Karen Karen Girl Coordinating Die Lovely Word Die Dragon Fruit Clear Stamp Set Slim Line Die Cutting System

Kind Words are Like Honey with Susie Moore

by Susie Moore on Nov 02 2020
Happy Monday! Do you need some bright and cheerful inspiration today? Look no further than this ADORABLE little gal and her sweet honey bee friend! And just for fun there is a stenciled background to complete the scene. Take a look at these two products I used because this card couldn't be more simple to make using them. First up is the Honey Dear stamp set. The image and the sentiment could cheer up the saddest friend! I used Copic markers to color my image, but I think watercolor or colored pencils would be perfect too. At first I didn't have a coordinating background, but then I tried the Honeycomb stencil for the win. Sometimes you find a match made in Heaven and this one fits that bill!   So that's it for me today. I had such fun creating today's card and I hope you feel inspired to try it. You can see these products and so much more by visiting Picket Fence Studios today. I have linked the products I used below in case you are in a shopping mood! Susie Created4Creativity

Someone Said Glitter?

by Karen Reategui on Oct 28 2020
Hello friends! Today I’m so happy to be sharing this card full of glitter and it’s literally full of glitter! This technique combines stencil and glitter and it is super fun and it doesn’t take too much time. For this card I’m using the Floral Stencil and Thank You for a being You Stamp Set. Let’s begin! I started by creating the background and I added double sided taped to panel that is 3 1/4 x 4 1/2. Then I removed and saved the release paper. Next, I applied Pixie Spray to my Floral Stencil and placed it on top of my panel. To make sure the stencil is pretty well stuck to my panel and the glitter doesn’t get behind it, I laid down the release paper on top and rubbed the stencil on with a bone folder. Then, I poured some purple glitter on top and I let it go like waterfall over the stencil so all the adhesive showing through the stencil will hold the glitter. You need to tap a little bit the panel the get off the excess and then you placed the release paper on top again and press the glitter into the adhesive using a bone folder. My next step is to carefully remove the stencil and applied the second color of glitter. This time is a bright yellow to make all the flowers pop up from the background. I just poured the glitter on top, shake off the excess and placed the release paper on top again to make sure the adhesive holds the glitter. Finally, I adhered a white folded card note at the back using foam tape for more dimension. I also heat embossed with silver embossing powder the sentiment and placed it at the bottom of my panel and this card is done! I really hope you try this technique is very easy and the results are so amazing! You can’t image how gorgeous this card shines in person. Have a phenomenal rest of the week! Your friend Karen TIP: use super fine glitter for better results.

Coffee is Always Better With a Friend

by Ilina Crouse on Oct 26 2020
Hi everyone! Ilina here. Today I am sharing card using the new Sponsored by Coffee set and the coordinating dies. To make the card I started by stamping the image on white card stock using Intense Black Hybrid ink. I also stamped the image onto masking paper and cut out the individual elements and negatives. I used those to mask parts of the image and do some ink blending using the Life Changing Blending brushes and red, brown and warm gray inks to add color to the image. Once I was satisfied with the results I die cut the image using the coordinating dies. Next stamped sentiment on black card stock, embossed in white and trimmed to size. I assembled the card using some coffee themed patterned paper I had in my stash and black note card.   Thanks for stopping by hope you have an amazing day!

A Little Nuts with Ceal Pritchett

by Ceal Pritchett on Oct 21 2020
Hello Friends! It's Ceal here. Today I am sharing a card made with the Slim Line Die Cutting System.  This is my first card made with it and I am loving it!  To create my card I used the smaller of the two panel dies and cut out two panels, one out of white and one out of Kraft cardstock. To the Kraft panel I added the square die cuts with the birch trees. On the white one I blended a sky background using the Life Changing Blender Brushes. To make the trees look more like birch trees I added some Snowdrop paper glaze to them and then using a brown Micron pen added the notches.   Next I stamped the squirrels from the A little Nuts on a seperate piece of cardstock, colored them using Copic markers and cut them out with the Coordinating dies. I added them along with the sentiment to the blended background. To turn this into a shaker card I added a piece of acetate to the kraft panel, placed foam tape around the squares and added sequins from the Maple Burbn Splash, Candy Corn Shot and Screwdriver mixes.  To finish the card I added the shaker panel to a Kraft card base.    Below you will find links to the products used. Clean And Simple Cards with Erica and A Tree

by Erica Andersson-Burke on Oct 20 2020
Hey guys!  It's Erica on the Picket Fence Blog today, with a couple of CAS cards made with the A Tree diecut.  Both of these are done in a quite simple manner: I cut the A Tree out of two different panels. One had a pattern done by pressing a piece of paper on top of the Slim Line Broken Fence stencil, after I had used Paper Glaze in Fern Green, Leaf Green, Jade Vine and Cornflower Blue. It created a fun and colourful pattern and the texture is amazing!    This tree I adhered to a white card base, because I wanted to keep the focus on the Paper Glaze texture and colours.  To finish it off I stamped a sentiment from Favorite Notification, in Black Hybrid Ink on white card stock. This I trimmed down and then glued to the card. I nearly added some sequins from Gin & Tonic, but decided to keep it super simple.  The second card was done in a very similar manner, but the piece of card stock I used for the A Tree was sprayed with Nuvo Sparkle Spray in Morning Fog. It's dark and shimmery and just fantastic. I glued it to another card base to again, keep it very clean.  I think this design would work really well for a sympathy card, and I would have loved to have one in the same font as the other Fancy stamp sets. Like Fancy Sentiments, More Fancy Sentiments and Fancy Christmas Sentiments. Because there isn't one, I decided to use another sentiment from Favorite Notification. This time I stamped it onto the card directly, right above the tree, in Black Hybrid Ink.  So, there we have it! Super simple, but fun, and of course these could be personalised with colours of choice and occasion.  Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

The October Picket Fence Studios release is here and it's one of my favorites! Have you had a chance to check it out? Today I am sharing a trio of cards made with the new Maple Leaves Dies. All of my cards today are using the same color scheme and style - clean and simple, along with inchies! You can find the entire release HERE. Happy Shopping! All of the leaves were made with a "brayer cleaning sheet" from my Gel Press printmaking days awhile back. I love how they turned out. I like the touch of pink with the fall orange, red, and gold. First up is a card using the larger of the dies, and a sentiment from Dad's Day. My second card uses the smaller of the Maple Leaves Die, and a sentiment from Weathering the Storm Together.  Here is the brayer sheet as I started cutting: And finally, the third of the trio uses the new Thank You for Being You stamp set, as well as the larger die. There are two other new leaf dies as well, that are just as fabulous, so be sure to check them out too!

Happy Monday! Have you ordered your Picket Fence Studios Slim Line Diecutting System yet? I have one word for it: AMAZING! You can make 256 different card fronts using this system and I think you will love it! And I bet there will be add ons to this set too. Take a look: I used the birch tree square die to make my three openings. I added a bit of shadowing to each tree. Then I colored and slipped in three images from this set which is called, BFF Girl Gang: I used the larger rectangle to make a mat for my smaller rectangle and then added my creation to a brown slim line card. Of course first I had to add some sequins and my sentiment! So that's it for me today. I had a blast creating today's card and I hope you feel inspired to try it. Happy Friday Stampers! Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho here with a spooky good card and candy holder for October.   This Frankenstein is big and bold with fun sentiments!  Not gonna lie, he sort of gave me nightmares as he would surprise me on my desk a time or two while I was working on him!     I made the background with Distress Oxide ink and Life Changing Blender Brushes.  I die-cut four squares to make a window and added a window sheet behind it.  The window is popped up on foam tape and Frank is behind it.  I simply stamped him on green cardstock and embossed in black.  No coloring, no shading, no nothing! For this guy, I stamped on Copic friendly cardstock and colored with Copic Markers.  The finished box size is 1-3/4" x 4".  Cut your cardstock to 7-1/4" x5-3/4".  Score the length at 1-3/4", 3-1/2", 5-1/4" and 7".  Score for the bottom at 1-3/4". So Franken Cute Life Changing Blender Brushes Thanks for popping in today!  For more creative ideas, please follow me on Instagram.   Becky
