Hello Crafty Friends, Welcome to The Picket Fence Studios Christmas Countdown!  Heejung here from Hmade Boutique to share some fun Christmas Card ideas.     INSIDE WINDOW SCENE CHRISTMAS CARD   I made many Christmas Cards this year, and this card is one of my favorites cards. I used the Name Off the Good List Stamp set for this card.      CARD RECIPE: Trim a piece of Peacock Green Cardstock to 8.5” X 5.5", and color the edges of the front of the card base in Pine Needle color using the life-changing Blending brushes. Stamp the Hark, the Angles Song background stamp with the white pigment ink on the card base. Die cut the card front using the Matching Misshapen Stitched Circle Dies for the window. Stamp the Name off the Good List Stamp on white card stock, color the image with Copic markers, and die cut it with the matching dies. Trim a piece of white card stock to 10.5"x 4", fold it in half, and glue it inside of the card base. Make a pop-up cube: size (1"x 2.5") Sentiment in the front of the card, using the Winter has come to Town stamp, Silver heat embossing it. attach it on the front of the card with a foam sticker. Attach the pop-up cube on the back of the Santa, and glue it on the inner card. Embellish a silver ring (die-cut silver foil paper using the Misshapen Stitched circle die) on the window.   I really love the result of Pop-up Santa in the card. When you close the card, you don't know that the list is this long, but when you open the card, you might smile at the long list.   This fun card is easy to make it. You can find the card tutorial below link, CARD TUTORIAL     I hope you find some time to craft today, and that this post inspires you.  All the supplies I used are listed below. Happy crafting and Happy Holiday Season! XOXO Heejung!     SUPPLIES

Michelle here, continuing the countdown with 22 days left!  I am the ultimate Christmas shopper proscatinator! Every year I tell myself this will be the year I have all my shopping done/ wrapped the week before Christmas. My saving grace is the fact that my Christmas cards are done. Leaves plenty of time to shop and decorate the house! For today's Christmas card I used the following products: Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set Seasonal Christmas Flowers Coordinating Die Winter Rings 6x6 Stencil A2 Evergreens on a Hill Cover Plate Die A Christmas Classic- Sequin Mix I inked up some teal cardstock with peacock feathers distress oxide ink and the Winter Rings Stencil. I trimmed the cardstock to fit and A2 card base.  After I adhered the stenciled panel to the card base, I added some black apint splatters. Set aside to dry. I stamped the Christmas Flowers with black ink and colored with  Copic Markers in shades: R32 R35 R37 R39/ Y18 G40 G43 G46 G29 I die cut the flowers and layered them on the card base. I layered the die cut word die in gold glitter cardstock onto the  flowers. For a finishing touch I scattered some sequins! I think this card would work perfectly for any winter holiday. Hope you enjoyed this blogpost today! Michelle

Find Your Northern Lights using Emboss Resist!

Hi crafty friends! Charlene here from Dream Craft Create. Thanks for joining me for more fun holiday inspiration during the Christmas Countdown! For today’s card I paired the Find Your Northern Lights Stamps with the A Polar Bear Winter Celebration Stamps and Dies and Matching Misshapen Stitched Circle Dies.   First, I ink blended green, blue, and purple ink on the diagonal using a large enough piece of cardstock to cover a mini slimline card. I used my heat tool to dry the ink completely before moving on to the next step. Once my panel was dry, I stamped several of the stamps from the Find Your Northern Lights set in embossing ink. I then heat embossed the stamped images using clear embossing powder. Now the beautiful colors were trapped under the melted embossing powder! Next, I blended black ink over most of the panel. I then used a microfiber cloth to wipe away the ink from the embossed images. This made the colors reappear – I love this effect! Using the small rectangle from the Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles, I die cut the card panel. I also used the large rectangle to die cut two panels in white cardstock. I glued my ink blended panel onto one of the large panels. Next, I took one of the large panels and die cut the bottom using the Matching Misshapen Stitched Circle Dies. This created a hill for my polar bears to sit on. I stamped a cute little sentiment onto the hill and popped it up on the bottom of the card using Extra Wide Foam Tape. I stamped and colored the cute polar bears from the A Polar Bear Winter Celebration Stamps and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I then popped them up on my card using more Extra Wide Foam Tape. All that was left to do was add some bling using sequins from the All About the Galaxy Sequin Mix! I hope you find some time to craft today, and that my card inspires you. You can find more cards using products from Picket Fence Studios on my blog. All the supplies I used are listed below. Happy crafting!

Hello all friends and Welcome to The Picket Fence Studios Christmas Countdown!   Christmas is approaching and we want to make sure we have all  the cards needed  for this magical time. I make a list of people to whom I want to give a card, or tags for packages to be prepared, how do you do it? Today I show you this card I made with the no line technique, colored with pencils. I chose this very funny Santa that has a very long list of names, the stamp is Name off the Good  For the background I used  Winter Wonderland Trees to create the landscape , and for the craft paper base and matting, I used the die cut set 5x7 Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Dies I love the stitching and all the different sizes it offers, I find it very useful. I hope you enjoy this inspiration of mine, follow us every day with the Team's Christmas creations!

Hello and welcome to another day in the Picket Fence Studios´ Christmas countdown.  Today I´m sharing a card that was easy to make with some basic products from PFS.  The background was made with the Christmas Tree Lot A2 stencil and Paper Glaze Velvet in Mistletoe color.   I stamped and colored the Santa from the Name off the good list stamp set and cut it with the coordinating die. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  To finish the card, I tied a baker´s twine in black and white.  Super easy to make, right? I hope you like it and give you an idea to make your cards. See you in my next blog post. Happy crafting! Silvana

Slim Line Christmas Card

by Theary Chea on Nov 28 2022

Hello!Welcome to The Picket Fence Studios' Christmas Countdown! Today is the 27th day until Christmas. I am sharing a slim-line Christmas-themed card. This card was easy to create, and the blending was super duper easy, especially using the Slim Line Snowy Tree Scene Blending Stencil. This stencil comes with two pieces which are so lovely because you can use them for blending the negative and the positive of the snowy tree. After I blended everything on top of my card front, I used the Scene Building Dies: Strings of Lights and die cut out of gold foil cardstock. I love how the Crystalline Diamonds-Iridescent adds so much texture and shimmer to the string lights. I wanted to give the card more interest, so I brought in some of the lovely birds from the Welcome Winter Wreath stamp set. You can mix and match a lot of what you have in your stash to create a unique card. Often, I need to remember to go through my collection and look at all the little elements on different sets. The Sentiment was created using Paper Glaze Velvet-Glided Candlesticks and the Joy Word Die. And, if you missed the reel, I will link it here. Happy Holidays From Our Family To Yours cards.

Happy Sunday! Eugy here and today I’m sharing these two Christmas cards I made using non traditional color palette. I started making my cards with background preparation. I blended some distress oxides and added splashes of water and white gouache. The backgrounds turned out to be very cute and delicate, and I wanted to add some contrast. So I collected all my dark-colored materials and started creating.  The base of the first card I cut out with with the second largest die from the 5x7 Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Die set from the November release. After that, I added some dimension using Christmas Ornaments Stencil and the Blackboard Paper Glaze Velvet.  Then I cut out a bow from the Autumn Splendor Fabric Cork Paper for an even greater 3D effect. Oh, how beautiful it turned out! I love diecutted sentimets, here i used one from the An Animal Crackers Christmas Hello stamp set. And as a final touch, I added some sequins from the All about the Galaxy Sequin Mix.  I diecut the base for my second card with an outline die from the Santa's Hot Cocoa Mug Die set and then I diecut the part for the shaker using the Autumn Splendor Fabric Cork Paper. After that I stamped and diecut small images and sentiments from the An Animal Crackers Christmas Hello stamp set. All I had to do to finish the card was to assemble the shaker and fill it with sequins and tiny diecuts. Easy enough, isn't it?  You can find some of the products I use on the Black Friday sale on the site, which ends on November 29. Hope you liked this project.  Happy crafting and have a nice day!

Hi crafty friends! Thanks for joining me on the second day of the Christmas Countdown on the Picket Fence Studios blog! Charlene here from Dream Craft Create, and I am so excited to share some holiday inspiration with you! For today’s card I paired the Frolicking Winter Friends stamps and dies with the Slim Line Falling Snowflakes Stencil and Slim Line Die Cutting System. First, I die cut a slim line sized card panel with three square openings using the Slim Line Die Cutting System. I love this die cutting system because you can create lots of fun, different layouts for your slim line cards. Next, I created a fun and festive background using the gorgeous Pink Tinsel Paper Velvet and Silver Spoon Paper Velvet. I stenciled both colors onto a slim line sized card base using the Slim Line Falling Snowflakes Stencil. I love non-traditional holiday colors! While my background dried, I stamped and colored the Frolicking Winter Friends stamps. I used alcohol markers in fun shades of pink, purple, and blue to color the adorable images. I also stamped and heat embossed my sentiment using black embossing powder. All that was left to do was put together my card using Foam Tape and add some bling using sequins from the Vintage Bulbs Sequin Mix. I hope you find some time to craft today, and that my card inspires you. You can find more cards using products from Picket Fence Studios on my blog. All the supplies I used are listed below. Happy crafting! Also, don't forget to check out the Black Friday sale going on right now! Lots of amazing deals can be found HERE!

Telescoping Card and Black Friday

by Claudia Cubas on Nov 21 2022
Hi crafty friends and have a great start to the week!!! Today I have a telescoping card to show you.To make it I used the new round die cutter set  Matching Misshapen Stitched Circles.  I die-cut three different sizes of circles, starting with the largest, to prepare the three scenes. I chose A2 Evergreens on a Hill Cover Plate Die to create the snowy landscape in which the cuddly bears from the set play  A Polar bear Christams .   To join the three parts, I punched a small hole and used a sample clip. This way the three parts have movement and the card can be closed and put in an envelope, What do you think? I have a video for this card that we will show you soon!!!   But I have great news for you all, today starts the fabulous Picket Fence Studios Black Friday Sale , and it will be active from today November 21 to November 29. You will be able to choose from different bundles and 30% discounts. Use this Code at check out: BLACKFRIDAY30. Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I'm introducing the glow-in-the-dark Northern Light card featuring the Find Your Northern Lights Stamp set from this month's release. After I heat embossed with the glow-the-dark embossing powder, I colored with the life-changing blending brushes using the Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid lagoon, and Squeezed Lemon Distress Oxide inks. I like this card in the dark, it feels like I'm in Alaska! I have never seen the northern lights in real.  but so glad that I could create it. This Find Your Northern Lights stamp set goes well with the A Polar Bear Christmas Stamp set. I used the Winter Scenery Stamp for the bottom background and die-cut it with the Mountains die. That’s all for today. I hope you enjoyed this post and give you inspiration. Heejung     Supplies List

Hi, Crafty friends! It´s Silvana here and today I´m sharing with you this lovely slimline card made with some new products of the November release.  The new Layering flora: Blooming Blossoms dies are just amazing! You can create beautiful layering flowers in different sizes and use any cardstock you like. I used some colored cardstock, arranging the flowers in a "rainbowish" order. The hello word die comes in the 5x7 Double stitched Layering Rectangles dies set. I diecut it three times in a heavy white cardstock and then one time in a gold cardstock.  For the background, I used the Slimline Hexagon Randomness Stencil to dryemboss it. It makes a very subtle but elegant background.  I hope you like this inspiration card.  See you in my next blog post. Have an amazing week.  Silvana.

Welcome Winter by Theary Chea

by Theary Chea on Nov 15 2022
Hello there! It's Theary back on the blog again. I am so excited to share a special card I created using old and new products from the shop. If you guys missed the November release, be sure to check it out here. 👉November 2022 Release. This card was simple to make. I fell in love with the Frolicking Winter Friends stamp set and knew I needed to pair it with the Building Group of Tree Stumps. I colored the adorable critters with alcohol markers, used the coordinating dies, and ran that through my die-cutting machine. I stamped the Building Group of Tree Stumps onto the center of an alcohol-friendly white-colored cardstock. I colored the stumps using alcohol markers before placing masking paper over them. Then, with my Life Changing Blender Brushes, I blended a pink shade of ink onto the cardstock. To create more interest in the scene, I used the Snowball Fight Stencil and blended that onto the background scene using the same color ink.   Now for the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from Welcome Winter Wreath in black ink. To create the snow effect, I painted white paint over different areas of the card front. And to finish it off, I adhered the images with liquid adhesive and foam squares. Then, I mounted it to a card base. So, that completes the card! I hope you found some inspiration and have time to get crafty! Until next time!Have a blessed day,Theary CheaINSTAGRAM/YOUTUBE

One stamp set, two different styles. Featuring Rockin' around the Christmas Tree stamp set.

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Nov 10 2022
Hi there! Eugy here and today I’m sharing two Christmas card ideas using Rockin' around the Christmas Tree stamp and coordinating die from the October release.   I wanted my first card to be a clean and simple, so I used the masking tape technique. I stamped the scene I had on my mind and simply colored it with copic markers.   This is a very fun technique, it helps you create a lot of different compositions and scenes. Guess which of the characters I stamped first? My second card is completely different, it’s bright and bold 🤪😁 After I stamped and colored all little critters, I started thinking about the background. And it seemed to me that a non-Christmas stencil would be perfect here. Or rather, Tropical Leaves A2 Stencil! A great versatile design that suits any season! And as a finishing touch, I used a glitter sentiment on a vellum backing. Hope you liked this card ideas! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

2 for 1 Season´s Greetings

by Silvana Chambon Scarenzio on Nov 10 2022
Hello, PFS blog readers! It´s Silvana here and today I´m sharing a tip with you to make two for one cards out of the greeting sentiment.  Sometimes we have a pretty cardstock that we like so much and want to optimize and stretch its use. That´s what happened with my gold cardstock! I wanted a gold sentiment for my first card but the negative piece was so nice that I decided to use it too. I cut the Season´s Greetings word die out of a piece of gold cardstock. This piece was great to put in front of a card background made with the Holiday Holly seamless stamp and inkblended with green inks.  The Season´s Greetings words were meant to be over a tree colored with the new Snowy Scene Tree A2 Blending Stencil. I added some sequins to the tree and some gold metallic watercolor to the background. I hope you like this tip and give it a try! Have an amazing crafting week! See you in my next blog post, Silvana

Fall card by Laura

by Laura Nistal on Nov 09 2022
Hello everyone!! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this fall card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Jolly Christmas Gnome" Stamps set that I stamped with "Black Hybrid ink pad" which is perfect for this type of stamps! Then I painted all the images with alcohol markers and then with a white marker I glossed it to make it stand out.  Then i cut out the images using the "Jolly Christmas Gnome" coordinating dies but you can carefully cut them out with scissors if you prefer. Next I prepared the background: for this I used a white cardboard to which I added distress oxide inks in yellow and orange tones, also using the "Shadow of Leaves" stencil. Then I cut some leaves with the "More Oak Leaves" dies and added them to the background. For the sentiment I used the "Fancy Autumn Sentiments" Stamps that I used with the "Black Hybrid ink pad". Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time! Laura

Joyeux Noel Nutcracker

by Michelle Bala on Nov 07 2022
Hello there! Michelle here, sharing a non traditional take on a Nutcracker. while scrolling through Google images, I came across some pastel water colored images I wanted to recreate.  This A2 Tall Nutcracker Die, is my FAVORITE new product!!! I used pink, gold, white and black cardstock to dress up the nutcracker. I backed him on vellum cardstock. I dressed up his hat with a holly sprig from Santa's Hot Cocoa Mug Die and used the snowflake die for the background. I inked up the background with distress oxide inks in shades broken china and stormy sky. I added some splashes of water and than some paint splatters. I scattered some Vintage Bulbs Sequin Mix to the background. The sentiment is from the stamp set, Swanky Christmas Sentiments and the coordinating Die. Thanks for stopping by for a peek! Hope you have a great week! Michelle
