Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!
Hello, friends! Justin Adkins here from Just a Note by Justin, and I am sharing my last creation from the May 2024 Release! I am putting the Hello to You Word Die set to use and making a simpler card with a white, black and gold color palette.
Below is a list of Picket Fence Studios products that I used to create this card:
Hello to You Word Die Set
Pinking Shears A2 Cover Die Set
Light Speed Gem Mix
Liquid Gold Paper Splatter Watercolor
Hello to You Word Die Set
Pinking Shears A2 Cover Die Set
Light Speed Gem Mix
Liquid Gold Paper Splatter Watercolor
I started off by die cutting my letters using the Hello to You Word Dies. I die cut the cursive "hello" from Gold Glitter Paper, and the "to you" from white cardstock. I set these side for later.
Next, taking an A2-sized piece of blending cardstock, I blended up a background using Lost Shadow, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. I then used the Pinking Shears A2 Cover Die Set to die cut the blended panel. Once I die cut the panel, I splattered it with water and then dried the water with a clean towel to get bleach marks on my card. I also splattered some watered down Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and Liquid Gold Paper Splatter Watercolor.
Once my panel was dry, I adhered this panel to an A2-size piece of black glitter paper. I adhered my "to you" letters directly to my ink-blended panel, and then adhered the "hello" die cut directly on top of "to you". I finished off this card by adhering Light Speed Gem Mix embellishments, and adhering the entire piece to an A2-size card base. My card was complete!
