Wishing You a Mad Birthday

Copic Markers Distress Ink Justin Adkins Peach and Piper: Mad Birthday

Before we jump into today's project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don't worry, these links won't cost you a dime – they're just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let's dive into today's creative journey together!

Hi, friends! Justin here, and today I am sharing my last blog post with the February Release! For today's card, I am using the new Peach and Piper: Mad Birthday stamp set and played around with some newer and older dies to make a super fun background.

Below is a list of products used to create today's card:

Peach and Piper: Mad Birthday Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies
Beyond Basics: A2 Scallops, Arches and Window Cover Plate Dies
Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangles and Cover Plates
Paper Splatter Liquid Forget-Me-Nots Watercolor
Wonderland Games Sequin Mix Plus

Let's get into the details!

First, I stamped out the image from Peach and Piper: Mad Birthday in alcohol-safe ink, colored the image up with Copic Markers, and then used the coordinating dies to cut the image out. While I had the stamp set out, I also stamped out the sentiment "I hope you have a mad birthday!" in red ink on white paper, and then die cut the sentiment out with the coordinating dies as well. I set the die cut items aside.

For my background, I grabbed my Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Die Set and cut the 2nd largest rectangle from holographic silver paper, the 3rd largest rectangle from blue cardstock, the 4th largest rectangle from red cardstock, and then the heart pattern cover plate from light blue cardstock. I took Salty Ocean Distress Ink and blended the bottom edfe of the heart pattern paper. I also splattered the panel with Liquid Forget-Me-Nots Paper Splatter and let it dry. Once fully dry, I adhered the heart panel on top of the red panel, that unit on top of the blue panel, and then that final unit on top of the holographic silver panel. I then adhered my final stacked unit on top of a white A2 card base.

I used the Beyond Basics: A2 Scallops, Arches and Window Cover Plate Dies to die cut the eight-section window panel from white cardstock. Using residual Salty Ocean ink from my blender, I lightly blended the die cut to make it slightly blue. I adhered this arched die on top of my heart panel.

Using foam tape, I adhered my image and sentiment. I finished off my card by adhering a few sequins from the Wonderland Games Sequin Mix!

Thank you so very much for stopping by today for some Wonderland inspiration! I hope this card leaves you ready to get into your craft space and have a mad time!
