Under the Sea Shaker Card

by Heejung Hunsberger on Feb 10 2023
Hello Crafty Friends, Do you like shaker cards? I really love all types of shaker cards. I made another type of shaker card featuring the Evan More of a Fishy Lot Stamp and coordinating die.   CARD RECIPE: Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set Even More of a Fishy Lot Coordinating Die Sun with Rays 6×8 Stencil School of Fish Stamp A2 Full Front Shaker Die Sea of Dolphins Sequin Mix Where Mermaids Live Stamp   I used the Distress Oxide inks (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire ) for the color blending on the background.  After coloring, the school of Fish stamp was stamped, using the Sun with Rays stencil with white pigment ink. Finished spray water on the colored surface. For the sentiment, I used the Where Mermaids Live Stamp set, white heat embossed it.   I used the A2 Full Front Shaker die to cut the shaker sheet and fill the Sea of Dolphins Sequin Mix in the shaker.   That’s all for today. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this post and give you inspiration. Heejung     SUPPLIES Affiliate links apply at no extra cost to you. Thank you for your support!

I Whaley Love You

by Brenda Noelke on Jan 26 2023
Hello, Picket Fence friends!! How’s your week going? I hope it’s going well!! I’m sharing a sweet card today that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!! I began by stamping the adorable whale from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the whale with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. For the background, I masked off the sky and blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink onto the bottom of panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with Life Changing Blending Brushes for the sea. I splattered it with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I removed the mask and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide onto the sky, also with a blending brush. The Scene Building: Sand Stamp was stamped onto Kraft cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I repositioned the stamp and stamped it again with white pigment ink, then added some shading with the brown ink and a blending brush. Once the ink was dry, I trimmed it by hand and adhered it to the bottom of the ink-blended panel. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock, then to a white top-folding card base. The sentiment, also from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die. I also stamped a couple of hearts from the Somebunny Loves You Stamp Set with red ink and cut those out with their Coordinating Dies. The whale, sentiment and hearts were all popped up with foam adhesive and this card was finished. Such a simple and sweet card to show your love!! Thank you so much for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great one!! Brenda
