I Appreciate You - Hollyhocks in Bloom
by Brenda Noelke on Feb 16 2025
Hello, friends and happy Sunday!! Brenda here with a card featuring the stunning Hollyhocks in Bloom Stamp Set from yesterday's Whimsical Wonderland release!! There's also a two-day Instagram hop full of inspiration from the creative team and special guests that started yesterday, so be sure to check that out as well!! Day 2 of the hop starts at 4PM CST!!
Let's get to my card, shall we?
I started by stamping the floral and butterfly images from the Hollyhocks in Bloom Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored it with Copic markers, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. Purchase the Hollyhocks in Bloom Bundle and save 10%!!
For the background, I die-cut the plaid die from the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Cover Plate Die Set from white cardstock. I die-cut another panel of white cardstock with the smallest rectangle die in the same set, along with a bright pink panel with the largest rectangle die. All the layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue. The hollyhocks were also adhered with liquid glue along the right side.
The sentiments are also from the Hollyhocks in Bloom Stamp Set. They were white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. The sentiments and butterflies were popped up with foam adhesive and this card was finished.
I can't wait to color these hollyhocks with other mediums!! They're so much fun to color!!
That does it for me!! Be sure to check out the IG for tons more inspiration!! You can get started on the PFS account HERE!!
Have a great Sunday and happy hopping!!

Happy Easter - Peach & Piper: Easter Adventures
by Brenda Noelke on Jan 31 2025
Happy Friday, fellow card makers!! I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!! Brenda here with a sweet Easter card featuring the adorable Peach & Piper: Easter Adventures Stamps & Coordinating Dies, along with a few other goodies from the January release!!
I began by stamping the images from the Peach & Piper: Easter Adventures Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. (Save 10% when you purchase the stamps & dies together here.) I used a black gel pen to darken the eyes and noses of the critters.
Next, I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto a panel of white cardstock using Life Changing Blender Brushes. I blended Mowed Lawn Distress Ink onto the bottom of the panel using the grass stencil in the Scene Building A2 Stencil Set: Layers of Adventure. The clouds, from the same stencil set, were added to the sky using Incandescent Paper Glaze. The panel was die-cut with the third largest die in the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangles and Cover Plate Die Set. It was adhered with liquid glue to a pink panel of cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the same die set. The darling Peach & Piper die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue.
For the sentiment, I spread a thin layer of the lightest shade of pink glaze in the Pink Ombre Haze Paper Glaze Sampler onto a panel of white cardstock. Once it was dry, I die-cut it, along with two more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, using the Happy Easter Word Die. The layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue, then added to the bottom of the panel. Bunny shaped embellishments from the Bunny Bop Sequin Mix Plus Mix and small iridescent sequins from the Blissful Beauties Sequin Mix Plus Mix were the perfect finishing touch.
These bunnies and chicks are having so much fun at the Easter egg hunt!!
That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Have a terrific weekend!!

Hello, crafty friends and happy Tuesday!! I hope your week has started off well!! Brenda here with a colorful birthday card featuring goodies from the latest June Release!! I'm always in need of birthday cards and this one's great because it will work for any age, male or female!!
I began by stamping the Birthday Dance Confetti Stamp onto white cardstock with dye inks in shades of blue and green. It was die-cut with the smallest die in the A2 Layering Rectangle Die Set.
The "happy" die from the Happy Birthday Word Die Set was die-cut from the center of the panel. It was adhered to a panel of Birthday Bash Fabulous Foiling Toner Card Stock that was cut out with the largest die in the A2 Layering Rectangles Die Set. The "birthday" script was also from the Happy Birthday Word Die Set. It was die-cut once from black glitter cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock, then stacked and adhered together and adhered across the center of the card.
The rest of the sentiment, from the Swanky Sentiments: Birthday Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. A sprinkling of Razzle Dazzle Sequins finishes off the card.
That'll do it for me today!! Thanks so much for hanging out with me!!

Hello, fellow crafters and happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a card featuring The Right Pair of Boots Stamp Set from the Botanical Blooms Release!! If you know me at all, you know that I am obsessed with shoes...especially boots, so this set is right up my alley!! Combine a boot with flowers and I couldn't love it more!!
I stamped image from The Right Pair of Boots Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink and colored with with Copic markers. I used the smallest die in the A2 Rectangles Layering Die Set to cut it out and adhered it to a panel of black cardstock that was cut with the next largest die in the same set.
Next, I die-cut the Pinking Shear A2 Cover Plate Die (bonus...this comes with a complete alphabet set) from a panel of paper in the Cotton Candy Clouds Fabulous Glossy A2 Card Fronts Pack (this complimented my flowers perfectly) and adhered it to a white card base. The two rectangle layers were adhered to the background.
The sentiment is also from The Right Pair of Boots Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. To finish, I added dots to the centers of some of the flowers with a yellow gel pen.
I LOVE how this turned out!! In fact, I have a pair of boots just like this...minus the flowers, of course!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I appreciate your time!!

There are two cards in today's blog post. The first one showcases one of the Kelly Taylor illustrated stamps (I'm a fan!) with a fun background, and the second is a more plain card with a fully coloured panel featuring the new snowman stamp in the no-line colouring technique.

PFS- Craft Beer Mug Shaker Die Card
by Heejung Hunsberger on Jun 02 2023
Hi crafty friends, This card with a masculine theme is what someone is searching for. It's a great fit!
I had so much fun making this card.
I made a card with the Craft Beer Shaker die from Picket Fence Studios. I used alcohol ink to color the inside of the shaker to make it look like bubbles.
I used a cloud shape from the Slimline Curvy Rainbow die on the mug that looks like a bubble of beer.
Then, trim the cloud to fit the mug top, I added some White Velvet to make it look like snow falling on the bubble.
CARD RECIPE:
Craft Beer Mug Shaker Die
Wood Grain A2 Die
Slimline Curvy Rainbow Die
5X7 Double Stitched Rectangle die (Alphabet)
Winter Snowfall Velvet
Pineapple Smash Sequin Mix
Thanks for stopping by! We hope our post inspired you to get creative. Don’t be afraid to try new things and reach out to us with any questions or feedback. Looking forward to sharing more content with you soon.

It's Time For Fun - Easter Shaker Card
by Brenda Noelke on Mar 08 2023

Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with a fun Easter shaker card to share with you today!! I'm sooo ready for Spring and this card just screams "Spring!!" with its soft pastel colors!!
I began by stamping the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. (There is a Coordinating Die Set available, but it is out of stock right now.)
Next, I white heat embossed the Easter Egg Time Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock and blended pastel colors of Distress Oxide Inks onto the panel with Life Changing Blender Brushes. I die-cut a circle into the panel with the 3.0 Connected Circles Shaker Creator Dies. I also die-cut a larger circle from a shaker sheet using the same die set and adhered it to the back of the ink-blended panel. I applied foam adhesive to the back of the panel, added Hop and Bunny Honey embellishments, then lined up the circle die-cut and adhered it so the eggs matched seamlessly with the background. The panel was then adhered to a white A2 card base.
The Peter Bunny & Friends image was adhered to the front of the card with liquid adhesive. The sentiment, also from the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, trimmed into a narrow strip and popped up with foam adhesive.
I just love this bunny in the mug and those Hop and Bunny Honey embellishments are absolutly perfect for Easter cards!!
Thanks so much for spending a bit of time with me today!! Have a good one!!

Seasonal Christmas Flowers Poinsettia Cards
by Brenda Noelke on Sep 22 2022
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda here with my first blog post as a member of the talented & amazing design team!! I’m super excited to be able to share some of my creations with Picket Fence products!! I’ve always been a huge fan!!
I’ve really been enjoying creating with the latest September release!! One of the first sets that caught my eye was the stunning Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set!! The poinsettia is such an iconic holiday symbol and I couldn’t wait to color these!!
I began by stamping all of the images in the Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set with Black Hybrid Ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I cut them out with the Coordinating Die Set.
I’ve always loved the contrast of black with bright red poinsettias, so I trimmed a panel of black cardstock to 4” x 5.25”. I adhered the leaves and holly with liquid glue and popped the poinsettias up with foam tape. I diluted some Snowdrop White Glaze with water and splattered it over the panel and poinsettias with a paint brush.
Once that was dry, I adhered it to a panel of white cardstock, then an A2 panel of red cardstock, before adhering it to my card base.
The sentiments, from the Swanky Christmas Sentiment Set, were white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I love these fonts!! They were also popped up with foam tape.
For the finishing touches, I dotted some Golden Sparkle Paper Glitz onto the centers of the poinsettias with a stylus and added a combination of Dancing Reindeer & A Classic Christmas sequin mixes.
Thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great Thursday and I’ll see you soon!!

Ombre Paper Glaze Video and card samples
by Sandi MacIver on Oct 01 2021
1
Hey paper crafters, welcome back. It's Sandi MacIver here and today I have a New Video Paper Glaze Ombre.
It's over on the Picket Fence Studios YouTube channel (link below for you). In the video I share a few different ways I like to use and blend these awesome Paper Glazes, and then I switch over and show you all the finished cards I made with the backgrounds created in the first portion.
Yes, it's a long video, but its fast paced with lots of card inspiration. I know by the end of it you will want to give Paper Glaze a go, LOL....I can't be the only one who enjoys messing with this stuff and it creates the best backgrounds.
I'm also playing with a variety of different stencils and stamps all from Picket Fence Studios.
What is Picket Fence Studios Paper Glaze?
It's a jar full of smooth creamy medium used to create texture and shimmer in your paper crafting.
You can mix it with Paper Glitz for more glimmer and/or Paper Glaze Enhancer to thicken it a bit and lighten the color.
You can blend the colors together to make new colors The latest Paper Glaze Lux Ombre - Nutcracker Ballet already has glitz added to it.
With it's heavy body of mica and glitter infusion, it is beyond spectacular. Adding depth and hues to your backgrounds.
The Paper Glaze Ombre line is specially formulated and colored for perfect blending and Ombre effect.
How is Paper Glaze Applied:
Paper Glaze is applied with palette knives, usually through a stencil to create a design.
It can be applied randomly across cardstock for a splash of color.
Or in gradient order to create the Ombre.
It's spectacular on dark cardstock such as Navy or Black.
Picket Fence Studios has a great selection of palette knives.
What does the finished product look like?
Once dry, Paper Glaze is very pliable, you can bend and cut the piece as you wish.
You can also die cut card stock that has been Paper Glazed - however, an additional shim may be required.
The Mica and colored Glitter included in the glaze is permanently attached to the cardstock and will not shed like glimmer paper does.
While it adds beauty to your card backgrounds, it doesn't add extra weight.
The beautiful sheen provides a professional finish for your cards.
How Long does Paper Glaze need to dry?
In my experience about 20 - 25 minutes, but this will depend on a few things.
How thick you apply the glaze: - You only need a very thin coat to create beautiful backgrounds. Note: in my video, at the end of each application, I turn my palette knife on edge, and scrape back to collect any excess sitting up on the stencil.
The humidity where you live: I live in a very dry climate so mine dries quickly. If you live in a higher humidity climate, you may find it takes a bit longer.
Here are some of the finished cards created with the backgrounds I made in the video. I also share these in the video and the supplies I used to create them.
Paper Glaze Ombre - Sunset Purples
Paper Glaze Sunset Purples was added over the Framed Leaves Stencil in abstract, onto a piece of light purple card stock.
This combination creates this fun and interesting background for BFF Livi Girl.
Next, Livi was colored with Copic Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating die.
Two center panels were cut to add and highlight the sentiment.
Livi was added with foam squares to add further dimension to the card.
Finally, the card was embellished with purple gems from the Purple Side of a Rainbow Gem Mix. There are also very nice purple sequins in the Frankie Comes to Town Sequin Mix.
Paper Glaze Ombre - Sky Blue
Paper Glaze Ombre Sky Blue was added again through the Framed Leaves Stencil onto pale blue cardstock to create this background.
This time a true Ombre effect was created by starting at the bottom with the darkest color and adding the lighter colors in order.
The Lots of Christmas Cheer image was copic colored in similar hues.
Die cut with the coordinating dies and added to the card.
The center panel was added with the sentiment, and to cover any glaze that got into the center of the stencil.
Finally, the card was embellished with the pretty white 3/d snowflakes from the Icicles Sequin Mix.
Paper Glaze Ombre - Sky blue with the Touch Ginger Tropical Flower:
The same random application of card #1 was used for this background onto pale blue cardstock.
Next the Touch Ginger Tropical flower was colored with copic markers, cut out with the coordinating die and added to the card.
The sentiment was die cut 3 times and stacked before being attached to the card.
Finally, the card was embellished with green gems from the Ocean of Green Gem Mix.
Paper Glaze Ombre - Pumpkin Spice - Masculine Birthday Card
The Pumpkin Spice glazes were added over the fabulous Slim Line Reverse Leaf Stencil onto white card to create this spectacular card front (not just for backgrounds my friends).
Over that, the Happy Birthday Word Topper Die was cut in black and added to the card.
Next, a strip of black was cut and added the entire length of the card, covering the bottom of the die cut.
Finally, the card was embellished with the Autumn Leaves Gem Mix.
Here is a second card done as above but in portrait orientation.
The Pumpkin Spice Paper Glaze was added through the same Slimline Reverse Leaf Stencil onto Kraft colored card stock to add a more muted background for the art.
Matting the art piece in a coordinating color really makes the red pop.
The same Word Topper Die was used, this time trimmed down to fit the Slimline Card width.
Paper Glaze Ombre - Fall Fashion - On Black Cardstock
Try adding the Paper Glaze onto black cardstock for a very dramatic card.
The Paper Glazes are Opaque so show up beautiful on light or dark card.
The sentiment overlay for this one is the Happy Fall Y'all word topper die and then over stamped with the Word Topper Sub Titles Stamp Set.
Finally, the card is embellished with the Moon shad Gem Mix to add just a little more bling to an already fabulous card.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I had a blast creating these projects for you with the Ombre Paper Glazes. I hope you will jump in and give them a try. Here is today's video for you
