Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with a holiday card featuring several products from the latest release!! The A Christmas Hello Stamp Set is one of my faves!! I started by stamping the A Christmas Hello Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I knew that I wanted to use one of the papers from the Holiday Traditions Foiling Toner Cardstock Pack for my background, so I colored the bird with neutral colors of Copics, then fussy cut it out. For the background, I trimmed a piece of paper from the Holiday Traditions Foiling Toner Cardstock Pack slightly smaller than A2. Although this toner paper is made to be used with foil, I loved it as the background for this beautiful bird. I spread Arctic Fox Paper Glaze Luxe onto a panel of white cardstock with a palette knife. Once it was dry, I die-cut the More Winter Snowflakes Dies from it and adhered them to the background panel. I trimmed the excess from the edges, then adhered it to an A2 card base. The bird was then adhered with liquid adhesive. The sentiment is from the Mistletoe Kisses Stamp Set. I stamped it onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink, fussy cut it out and popped it up with foam tape. I chose some iridescent snowflakes from the Christmas Flurries Sequin Mix and adhered those to the background to complete the card. This card has so much sparkle and shine, between the iridescent sequins and the paper glaze, it really packs a punch!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great Tuesday!! Brenda

Hello There - Square Sunflower Card

by Brenda Noelke on Aug 15 2023
Hello, crafty friends!! I hope this finds you all well!! Brenda here with a square, floral card featuring the Golden Sunflower Flowerhead Stamp!! I began by stamping the Golden Sunflower Flowerheads Stamp onto Bristol smooth cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I stamped it again with Versamark Ink, then embossed it with clear detail embossing powder. I colored it with Karin Pro Brushmarkers and added detail to the center with a yellow gel pen. I trimmed the panel to 5.25” square and matted it with white and yellow cardstock before adhering it to a 5.5” square card base. Next, I die-cut the Hello There Word Die once from yellow cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. I stacked and adhered them together, with the top layer slightly offset. A sprinkling of All About the Yellows Sequins finishes off the card. That’s it for me today!! Sunflowers are such an iconic fall flower and definitely one of my favorite blooms!! This set is so much fun to color!! Thanks for stopping by!! Brenda

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a card featuring some fantastic goodies from the latest June Release!! I started by stamping the images from the Scene Building: Arbor and the images and sentiment from The Best Dirt stamp sets onto white cardstock with PFS black hybrid ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the Scene Building: Arbor and The Best Dirt coordinating dies to cut them out. The arbor die-cut was adhered to an A2 white card base with liquid glue. I used the Slim Line Cloud Coverage Stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and a Life Changing Blender Brush to add the clouds to the sky. I used another blending brush to add Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink toward the bottom of the card front for the ground. All of the die-cuts were arranged and adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue and the sentiment was popped up with foam adhesive. I used a yellow gel pen to accent the centers of the flowers and this card was finished. That’ll do it for me!! Thanks so much for dropping by!! Have a great day!! Brenda

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Brenda here sharing a card created with one of my favorite sets from the May release!! I stamped the stunning floral image from the Million Little Things Stamp Set onto white cardstock with no-line coloring ink. I colored it with Copics, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I used a yellow gel pen to add some color back in to the stamen that I lost when coloring with my Copics. For the background, I die-cut the Slim Line Pierced Blanket Cover Plate Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a slimline white card base. The floral die-cut was popped up onto the background with foam adhesive. The sentiment is also from the Million Little Things Stamp Set. It was stamped with PFS Black Hybrid Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was adhered with a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive. Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with a fun Easter shaker card to share with you today!! I'm sooo ready for Spring and this card just screams "Spring!!" with its soft pastel colors!! I began by stamping the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. (There is a Coordinating Die Set available, but it is out of stock right now.) Next, I white heat embossed the Easter Egg Time Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock and blended pastel colors of Distress Oxide Inks onto the panel with Life Changing Blender Brushes. I die-cut a circle into the panel with the 3.0 Connected Circles Shaker Creator Dies. I also die-cut a larger circle from a shaker sheet using the same die set and adhered it to the back of the ink-blended panel. I applied foam adhesive to the back of the panel, added Hop and Bunny Honey embellishments, then lined up the circle die-cut and adhered it so the eggs matched seamlessly with the background. The panel was then adhered to a white A2 card base. The Peter Bunny & Friends image was adhered to the front of the card with liquid adhesive. The sentiment, also from the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, trimmed into a narrow strip and popped up with foam adhesive.  I just love this bunny in the mug and those Hop and Bunny Honey embellishments are absolutly perfect for Easter cards!! Thanks so much for spending a bit of time with me today!! Have a good one!! Brenda

I Whaley Love You

by Brenda Noelke on Jan 26 2023
Hello, Picket Fence friends!! How’s your week going? I hope it’s going well!! I’m sharing a sweet card today that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!! I began by stamping the adorable whale from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the whale with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. For the background, I masked off the sky and blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink onto the bottom of panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with Life Changing Blending Brushes for the sea. I splattered it with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I removed the mask and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide onto the sky, also with a blending brush. The Scene Building: Sand Stamp was stamped onto Kraft cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I repositioned the stamp and stamped it again with white pigment ink, then added some shading with the brown ink and a blending brush. Once the ink was dry, I trimmed it by hand and adhered it to the bottom of the ink-blended panel. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock, then to a white top-folding card base. The sentiment, also from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die. I also stamped a couple of hearts from the Somebunny Loves You Stamp Set with red ink and cut those out with their Coordinating Dies. The whale, sentiment and hearts were all popped up with foam adhesive and this card was finished. Such a simple and sweet card to show your love!! Thank you so much for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great one!! Brenda

Butterfly Slim Line Shaker

by Brenda Noelke on Jan 05 2023

Hello, fellow crafters and happy Thursday!! I hope your week is going well!! I have a fun slim line shaker card to share with you today!! I LOVE butterflies!! They can be used for so many different occasions!! I began with my background panel, so it would have adequte time to dry (although it dries really quickly). I applied Snowdrop White Paper Glaze onto a panel of white cardstock through the Slim Line A Whole Lot of Polka Dots Stencil with a palette knife. While that was drying, I stamped the sentiment, from the Baby Butterfly Beauties Stamp Set, onto white cardstock with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped some butterflies from the same set with Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks, then die-cut the sentiment and butterflies with the Coordinating Dies. I LOVE the sentiments in this stamp set...they are so uplifting and positive!! I also die-cut the second largest die in the Nesting Ring Die Set from pink cardstock.  Next, the stenciled background panel was die-cut with the smaller rectangle die in the Slim Line Die-Cutting System Set. The Monarch Butterfly Slim Line Die-Cutting System Insert was cut from the center of the panel. I adhered acetate behind the butterfly, then added foam tape to the back of the panel. A combination of All About the Pinks, All About the Yellows and All About the Purples sequin mixes were added for the shaker bits. I adhered a small piece of white cardstock behind the opening and then adhered the panel to a slimline panel of pink cardstock that was cut from the largest Slim Line Nested Rectangles Die. The Nesting Ring Die was adhered with liquid glue, while the sentiment and butterfly die-cuts were popped up with foam tape, for even more dimension. Whew!! I know that was a long one, but shaker cards are a little more involved and take more time to explain!! Thanks for hanging in there with me!! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by today!! Have a wonderful Thursday!! Brenda

Christmas Countdown - Let It Snow

Hello, friends and welcome back for another day of Christmas Countdown inspiration!! Brenda here with a winter stenciled and die-cut card!! I absolutely LOVE snowflakes and couldn’t wait to use the Falling Snowflakes Stencil with some Paper Glaze!!   I usually start with the focal point when I sit down to create a card, but in this case I started with the background. I spread Turquoise Jewelry Paper Glaze Luxe onto heavyweight white cardstock through the Falling Snowflakes Stencil with a palette knife. I also spread some Pink Tinsel Paper Glaze Velvet onto another panel of heavyweight white cardstock. I set the two panels aside to dry.  Once they were dry, I trimmed the snowflake panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 white card base. I die-cut the Let It Snow Word Die from the pink panel and cut it two more times from heavyweight white cardstock. I stacked and adhered the white layers together, adhered them behind the pink one, slightly offset, then added them to the center of the card.  A snowflake was die-cut from white glitter cardstock using a die from the Jolly Good Rainbow Die Set. I adhered it in the center of the “o”, then stacked an iridescent and clay snowflake from the Candied Snow Sequin Mix Plus on top. I love this color combo!! I wish you could see all of the sparkle and texture!! Thank you so much for hanging out with me for a bit!! Have a wonderful day!!

I began by stamping the amazing Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. For the background, I die-cut the Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate Die from dark brown cardstock. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock for the snow, added some shading with Copics, then adhered it to an A2 panel of light blue cardstock. The tree was adhered to the background and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I added some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze Velvet with a paintbrush and sprinkled on some clear glitter while it was still wet. I splattered some diluted white gouache onto the background for the snowfall in my winter scene. The sentiment is also from the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The gnome and sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Brenda here with you today to share a sweet winter scene card featuring the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set!! I began by stamping the adorable mice from the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Black Hybrid Ink. The background was created by stamping the snow and snowbanks, also from the Frolicking Winter Friends Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock with Black Hybrid Ink. When I saw the Name Off the Good List Stamp Set, I knew immediately who I would send it to!! I LOVE when that happens!! Let’s get to my card!! I began by stamping the Santa and sentiment from Name Off the Good List onto white cardstock with black hybrid ink. I colored Santa with Copic markers, then cut it and the sentiment out with the Coordinating Dies. For the background, I die-cut the A2 Evergreens On a Hill Cover Plate Die from heavyweight white cardstock. I mixed Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze with a bit of Sparkle Paper Glitz and spread it onto the bottom of the panel with a palette knife. I added some Leaf Green Paper Glaze to the trees with my finger, to create some texture. Once that was dry, I adhered it to an A2 size panel of dark blue cardstock, then a white card base. Seasonal Christmas Flowers Poinsettia Cards

by Brenda Noelke on Sep 22 2022
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda here with my first blog post as a member of the talented & amazing design team!! I’m super excited to be able to share some of my creations with Picket Fence products!! I’ve always been a huge fan!! I’ve really been enjoying creating with the latest September release!! One of the first sets that caught my eye was the stunning Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set!! The poinsettia is such an iconic holiday symbol and I couldn’t wait to color these!! I began by stamping all of the images in the Seasonal Christmas Flowers Stamp Set with Black Hybrid Ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I cut them out with the Coordinating Die Set. I’ve always loved the contrast of black with bright red poinsettias, so I trimmed a panel of black cardstock to 4” x 5.25”. I adhered the leaves and holly with liquid glue and popped the poinsettias up with foam tape. I diluted some Snowdrop White Glaze with water and splattered it over the panel and poinsettias with a paint brush.   Once that was dry, I adhered it to a panel of white cardstock, then an A2 panel of red cardstock, before adhering it to my card base. The sentiments, from the Swanky Christmas Sentiment Set, were white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I love these fonts!! They were also popped up with foam tape. For the finishing touches, I dotted some Golden Sparkle Paper Glitz onto the centers of the poinsettias with a stylus and added a combination of Dancing Reindeer & A Classic Christmas sequin mixes.   Thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great Thursday and I’ll see you soon!! Brenda
