It's Time For Fun - Easter Shaker Card

Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with a fun Easter shaker card to share with you today!! I'm sooo ready for Spring and this card just screams "Spring!!" with its soft pastel colors!! I began by stamping the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. (There is a Coordinating Die Set available, but it is out of stock right now.) Next, I white heat embossed the Easter Egg Time Stamp Set onto a panel of white cardstock and blended pastel colors of Distress Oxide Inks onto the panel with Life Changing Blender Brushes. I die-cut a circle into the panel with the 3.0 Connected Circles Shaker Creator Dies. I also die-cut a larger circle from a shaker sheet using the same die set and adhered it to the back of the ink-blended panel. I applied foam adhesive to the back of the panel, added Hop and Bunny Honey embellishments, then lined up the circle die-cut and adhered it so the eggs matched seamlessly with the background. The panel was then adhered to a white A2 card base. The Peter Bunny & Friends image was adhered to the front of the card with liquid adhesive. The sentiment, also from the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, trimmed into a narrow strip and popped up with foam adhesive.  I just love this bunny in the mug and those Hop and Bunny Honey embellishments are absolutly perfect for Easter cards!! Thanks so much for spending a bit of time with me today!! Have a good one!! Brenda

Chicks in Grass Embellishments Shaker card

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Feb 24 2023
Happy Friday! Eugy here! Today, I'm sharing another shaker card I made using one of the new sequin mixes released in the February release. This beautiful “Chicks in Grass Embellishments” mix includes a variety of pastel colors and shapes, perfect for a spring-themed project like this one. Here I used the negative space from “Layering Flora: Fantasy Floweret Dies” to create a window for the shaker, and the Plumeria Flower 6x8 Stencil to make colorful background. The stencil is a great tool for adding interesting textures and patterns to any project. Additionally, the Plumeria Flower stencil added a tropical and playful touch to the project, making it perfect for spring or summer-themed occasions. To finish the card, I added a die cut sentiment from the Done Adulting for the Day stamp set. I hope you like this card and feel inspired to create your own shaker card using the new sequin mixes or stencils! Have a great weekend and happy crafting! Eugy

Birthday card by Laura

by Laura Nistal on Feb 22 2023
Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this card that I hope will inspire you!  To start I used the "Peter bunny and Friends" Stamps set that I stamped with "Black Hybrid ink pad" which is perfect for this type of stamps! Then I painted all the images with alcohol markers and then with a white marker I glossed it to make it stand out.  Then i cut out the images using the "Peter bunny and Friends" coordinating dies but you can carefully cut them out with scissors if you prefer. Next I prepared the background: for this I used the "Plumeria Flowers 6x8" stencil that I painted with distress inks in a corner of the card. For the sentiment I used a phrase from the same set of stamps that I cut out of white cardstock. To decorate I added some "Gems mixes fire" to give the card a little more contrast. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! I hope you like it and that it inspires you, I remember that you can find all these products and many others in the Picket Fence Studios store. A huge kiss and until next time! Laura

Hello, crafty friends and happy Wednesday!! Brenda here with a card today that features one of my favorite sets from the February Release that just released yesterday...the stunning Mophead Hydrangea Stamp!! I couldn't wait to color this beautiful bloom!! I began by white heat embossing the Mophead Hydrangea onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I watercolored it with Karin Brushmarker Pro markers and a damp paintbrush. Once it was dry, I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 white card base. For the sentiment, I die-cut "hello" from dark blue glitter cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock three times using a die from the Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Die Set. I stacked and adhered the layers together with liquid adhesive with the top layer slightly offset, then adhered it to the front of the card. The All About the Blues Sequin Mix had the most beautiful blue hues to match  perfectly!! Thank you so much for dropping by today!! Be sure to check out the rest of the fabulous February Release!! The "Tact vs Sarcasm" Clean and Simple Cards.

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Feb 03 2023
Happy Friday! Eugy here, and I have two card ideas for you today! The single layer one and the shaker one! Both showcasing fun sentiment stamp set called "Tact vs Sarcasm". My first card is very easy to create. I paired the sentiment I liked with the Karma Girl: Suzy and Mary stamp. To make it unique, I made rainbow blending using the Life Changing Blender Brushes.   And I wanted to create a second card with a shaker. I filled it with the Sequin Mix Plus - Fish Food, and used the Petals 6x6 Stencil for the background. And as a final touch, I created a sentiment using an embossing technique and white powder on a transparent film. Have a great weekend and happy crafting!Eugy

I Whaley Love You

by Brenda Noelke on Jan 26 2023
Hello, Picket Fence friends!! How’s your week going? I hope it’s going well!! I’m sharing a sweet card today that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!! I began by stamping the adorable whale from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored the whale with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. For the background, I masked off the sky and blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink onto the bottom of panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with Life Changing Blending Brushes for the sea. I splattered it with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I removed the mask and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide onto the sky, also with a blending brush. The Scene Building: Sand Stamp was stamped onto Kraft cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I repositioned the stamp and stamped it again with white pigment ink, then added some shading with the brown ink and a blending brush. Once the ink was dry, I trimmed it by hand and adhered it to the bottom of the ink-blended panel. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock, then to a white top-folding card base. The sentiment, also from the Even More of a Fishy Lot Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die. I also stamped a couple of hearts from the Somebunny Loves You Stamp Set with red ink and cut those out with their Coordinating Dies. The whale, sentiment and hearts were all popped up with foam adhesive and this card was finished. Such a simple and sweet card to show your love!! Thank you so much for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great one!! Brenda

A Little Mermaid Wiper Card

by Heejung Hunsberger on Jan 20 2023
Hello Crafty Friends, I made another wiper card featuring the We are Fishy Lot stamp set, one of January’s releases @Picket Fence Studios. This We are Fishy Lot stamp set is a large version of one mermaid image from the More Fishy Lot stamp set.   The mermaid is one of my favorites so I was so happy to have a bigger size of the mermaid.   This card fits the A2-sized envelope. when the card is folded, you can see the dolphin.   You can see the dolphins when opens it up! I love to make interactive cards with beautiful stamp sets like the We are Fishy Lot Stamp set.   When I made this card first. I didn’t like the blank section when it folded. So I had to add a mirror image to cover it up. See, how looks better with the mirror image!   CARD RECIPE: We are Fishy Lot Stamp set Evan More Fishy Lot Stamp set  We were Mermaid for Me Stamp set  Sun with Ray Stencil 6×6    The wiper card tutorial is below, Wiper Card Tutorial   That’s all for today. I hope you enjoyed this post and give you inspiration. Heejung   SUPPLIES

Quick and easy shaker cards using sequin mixes.

Happy Friday, Eugy here! Today I would like to share with you these two similar cards. You know, I just love making card shakers and I just couldn't help but make a couple using new sequin mixes! For my first card, I used a beautiful, bright and sunny mix called All About the Yellows. This card was so easy to make. I simply cut out the window for the shaker using the Flying Butterfly Slim Line Die Cutting System Insert and added a sentiment from the Baby Butterfly Beauties stamp set.  After that, I blended the background and filled the shaker with a sequin mix. Five minutes and you're done! Then I made the second card using the same steps, but only added A2 Pierced Blanket Cover Plate Die to the front of the card. For the shaker I used the Chandelier Slim Line Die Cutting System Insert and the sentiment is from the Fancy Life Events Sentiments stamp set.  And I filled it with an incredibly beautiful mix from the latest release - Flower Beds. Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

Hello there! Eugy here and welcome back to The Picket Fence Studios Christmas Countdown! Just 8 days left, so exited! Today I would like to share with you this simple card, which is a great idea for a last minute project! I started this project by creating a background, I used Traditional Christmas Green Paper Glitz and green cardstock to create a tone on tone dimensional background. Have you already seen this new versatile polka dot stencil from the new release? I just love the A Whole Lot of Polka Dots 6x6 Stencil! After I stamped and die-cut the wreath and sentiment, I colored my image with Copics. Here I used the Welcome Winter Wreath stamp and coordinating dies. I really appreciate that there are coordinating dies for sentiments, too. All I have left to do is to assemble everything together. For an even greater tridemensional effect, I added vellum layer under the wreath. I hope you liked this card idea! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

Christmas Countdown - Let It Snow

Hello, friends and welcome back for another day of Christmas Countdown inspiration!! Brenda here with a winter stenciled and die-cut card!! I absolutely LOVE snowflakes and couldn’t wait to use the Falling Snowflakes Stencil with some Paper Glaze!!   I usually start with the focal point when I sit down to create a card, but in this case I started with the background. I spread Turquoise Jewelry Paper Glaze Luxe onto heavyweight white cardstock through the Falling Snowflakes Stencil with a palette knife. I also spread some Pink Tinsel Paper Glaze Velvet onto another panel of heavyweight white cardstock. I set the two panels aside to dry.  Once they were dry, I trimmed the snowflake panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 white card base. I die-cut the Let It Snow Word Die from the pink panel and cut it two more times from heavyweight white cardstock. I stacked and adhered the white layers together, adhered them behind the pink one, slightly offset, then added them to the center of the card.  A snowflake was die-cut from white glitter cardstock using a die from the Jolly Good Rainbow Die Set. I adhered it in the center of the “o”, then stacked an iridescent and clay snowflake from the Candied Snow Sequin Mix Plus on top. I love this color combo!! I wish you could see all of the sparkle and texture!! Thank you so much for hanging out with me for a bit!! Have a wonderful day!!

Hello, Picket Fence friends!! Welcome back to the Countdown to Christmas!! Brenda here with a festive, frosty scene card to share with you today featuring the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. I began by stamping the amazing Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out. For the background, I die-cut the Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate Die from dark brown cardstock. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock for the snow, added some shading with Copics, then adhered it to an A2 panel of light blue cardstock. The tree was adhered to the background and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I added some Winter Snowfall Paper Glaze Velvet with a paintbrush and sprinkled on some clear glitter while it was still wet. I splattered some diluted white gouache onto the background for the snowfall in my winter scene. The sentiment is also from the Jolly Christmas Gnome Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The gnome and sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. I added some snow to the gnome with a white gel pen and my scene was finished!!   This Jolly Christmas Gnome has sooooo much character!! I just LOVE him!! Thanks so much for dropping in today!! Happy Holidays From Our Family To Yours cards.

Happy Sunday! Eugy here and today I’m sharing these two Christmas cards I made using non traditional color palette. I started making my cards with background preparation. I blended some distress oxides and added splashes of water and white gouache. The backgrounds turned out to be very cute and delicate, and I wanted to add some contrast. So I collected all my dark-colored materials and started creating.  The base of the first card I cut out with with the second largest die from the 5x7 Double Stitched Layering Rectangle Die set from the November release. After that, I added some dimension using Christmas Ornaments Stencil and the Blackboard Paper Glaze Velvet.  Then I cut out a bow from the Autumn Splendor Fabric Cork Paper for an even greater 3D effect. Oh, how beautiful it turned out! I love diecutted sentimets, here i used one from the An Animal Crackers Christmas Hello stamp set. And as a final touch, I added some sequins from the All about the Galaxy Sequin Mix.  I diecut the base for my second card with an outline die from the Santa's Hot Cocoa Mug Die set and then I diecut the part for the shaker using the Autumn Splendor Fabric Cork Paper. After that I stamped and diecut small images and sentiments from the An Animal Crackers Christmas Hello stamp set. All I had to do to finish the card was to assemble the shaker and fill it with sequins and tiny diecuts. Easy enough, isn't it?  You can find some of the products I use on the Black Friday sale on the site, which ends on November 29. Hope you liked this project.  Happy crafting and have a nice day!

One stamp set, two different styles. Featuring Rockin' around the Christmas Tree stamp set.

by Evgeniya Ishbul’dina on Nov 10 2022
Hi there! Eugy here and today I’m sharing two Christmas card ideas using Rockin' around the Christmas Tree stamp and coordinating die from the October release.   I wanted my first card to be a clean and simple, so I used the masking tape technique. I stamped the scene I had on my mind and simply colored it with copic markers.   This is a very fun technique, it helps you create a lot of different compositions and scenes. Guess which of the characters I stamped first? My second card is completely different, it’s bright and bold 🤪😁 After I stamped and colored all little critters, I started thinking about the background. And it seemed to me that a non-Christmas stencil would be perfect here. Or rather, Tropical Leaves A2 Stencil! A great versatile design that suits any season! And as a finishing touch, I used a glitter sentiment on a vellum backing. Hope you liked this card ideas! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy
