Capricorn Girl with Michelle

by Michelle Lupton on Sep 17 2021
I'm continuing on with my series of Zodiac Girl Cards - this month, the new stamp and matching die is Capricorn Girl. I coloured her with Copic markers and popped her onto a grey and purple stenciled background. I decided she needed a little pizazz, so I added some of the new Silver Bells Paper Glitz to her horns, her eyelids and her earrings. I also mixed some with water and splattered it in the background.     Thanks for visiting :)

Seamless Designs Stamps

by Sandi MacIver on Sep 10 2021
Hey cardmaking friends welcome back.  It's Sandi MacIver here and today I'm playing with Picket Fence Studios Seamless Designs Stamps.  Yesterday I pulled out some Seamless stamps and had a good look at them.  I'm totally amazed at how versatile they are.  I kind of hate when I spend money on a stamp set that I only use once, don't you?  Not so with these little guys and let me take a few minutes to explain why. Today I'm going to share a couple of cards I created with these Seamless Designs Stamps.  At the same time, tell you why I like them so much. Size of the Picket Fence Studios Seamless Designs Stamps: Don't be fooled by the size of these little guys.  They may be small at just over 3.5" square - but they are mighty. As they are small, they also come in at a nice low price point.  For a small investment, you get a HUGE return. Yesterday I created two A2 sized cards with two of these stamps: First way I like to use the Seamless Designs Collection: The first is this absolutely stunning Roses for All Seasons stamp and I created a simple A2 sized card with a small art piece on the front. I used a Misti to stamp the image in black and then heat embossed it in clear onto watercolor paper. Next, I colored it with my Karin watercolor pens. Unfortunately, we require a few sympathy cards so I used the Prayers Word Topper Die on this one. TIP - I could also change out the card front to the bright pink envelope color, change the sentiment die to Happy Birthday and completely change the feel of this card. Creating the Sentiment: Normally I would cut these word topper dies 3 or 4 times and stack them before adding them to my cards. Today, I cut one from a scrap of brown I had in my scrap bin, and gold heat embossed two layers onto it. The gold embossing really builds up and I have this beautiful sturdy sentiment which I glued across the bottom front of my art piece. Understated, but adds the perfect amount of bling.   My Second Card in the A2 Size: My second card is created the same as the first, just with a different stamp.  This one is new out in August called A Medley of Fall Collage. The image is stamped once  and colored with Karin Markers. The Happy Fall Y'all Sentiment was created in the same manner as above.   So, why are these called Seamless Designs Stamps? Because you can use your Misti or other stamping tool, and you can repeat stamp these little guys to create a larger stamped surface. Their edge illustration is created to line up with the illustration on the opposite side for "seamless continuous stamping". (cool or what). The Second Way I used the Seamless Designs Stamps: This Slimline Pumpkin card shows how I lined up the All the Gourds Seamless Stamp and stamped horizontally across the card stock three times to create my Slimline Card front.     Here's another example using the More Hot Chicks Seamless Stamp.  Again, stamped three times horizontally, colored and made into a slimline card with the PFS slimline dies. There is a video for this card here. You can stamp Seamless the other way too: Not only do these stamps line up horizontally, but the illustration also lines up vertically.   The Third Way I like to use the Seamless Designs Stamps: In the card sample above, I used my Misti to stamp the image three times vertically to create an understated background for my card. Lining up the stamp to continue the repeat is very easy, as there are little pieces of the image you use to overlap for the continuous stamped image. You can get the details for this card here: Here is another vertical stamped example where I used the creepy Marching Spiders Seamless Designs Stamp to create the background for my Halloween card. Card Details here:   The Fourth Way I like to use the Seamless Designs Stamp: You can stamp it twice horizontally, then move up and stamp twice vertically to create an entire A2 sized card front. TIP - you can also stamp vertically twice to create a background for a Mini Slimline Card, and I'll do one of those shortly as well.   Where to get Seamless Designs Stamps. Picket Fence Studios introduced these these to me and you can see their collection here.  Storing the Seamless Designs Collection Stamps: As I said in the beginning, these little guys are small.  So, they take up a very little bit of space, unlike some of the HUGE slimline stamps I have purchased recently. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my slimline stamps and dies LOL, I just had to adjust my storage to compensate the tall storage.     I subscribe to the Jennifer McGuire storage system of Fridge Bins (I order mine from Amazon), and these little guys fit perfectly in the 6" x 10" bins  Thanks so much for stopping in and I hope you enjoyed today's cards.  Give a Seamless Designs Stamp a try and then come on over to the Picket Fence Studios Facebook Group and share it with us. Here are the products I used today.  Compensated affiliate links used  where available at no cost to you. Scene Cards with Larisa

by Larisa Hohman on Aug 25 2021
Hello, Larisa here and today I'm sharing a couple of scene cards featuring the New Release!   For my first card, I paired the NEW Lots of Christmas Cheer Stamp Set with the NEW Slim Line Our Town Cover Plate Die.  To begin, I started with the Scallop Frames Slim Line Die Cutting System and used it to cut a piece of white card stock and a red scalloped piece to mat behind it.  Using my Life Changing Blender Brushes, I added some blue distress ink to the background.  Then I die cut a piece of black card stock with the Our Town Cover Plate Die.  I adhered that to the center of my background piece.  Then I tore a piece of white card stock and added that just under the town to mimic the look of snow.  I stamped out the grouped animal image, colored it using Copic Markers and cut it out using the coordinating die.  Using foam tape, I added it to the right side of the card.  On the left side, I stamped my sentiment in black ink.  For the final touch, I added several tiny snowflakes from the NEW Santa Is Here Slim Line Die Cutting System Insert.   My next card is a fun little back-to-school scene that features two of the little cuties from the NEW Your Next Book Dear Stamp Set.  To create this card, I stamped out the NEW Medley of Fall Collage Stamp in red ink on orange paper.  Then I trimmed that into a square.  Across the bottom, I added a skinny piece of grey card stock.  On top of that some die cut grass.  Then I stamped out my images, colored them up with Copics, and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I used foam tape to add them to my scene and stamped my sentiment just below.   Thank you so much for stopping by!  Happy Crafting! Guardian of the Graveyard!

by Rachelle Oltean on Aug 11 2021
Hello! It’s Rachelle and I’ve got a spooky graveyard ‘rocker’ card for you today featuring lots of the amazing Halloween products from the July Release! I began by die cutting a 5” circle from heavy weight black card stock and scoring it in half to create my ‘rocking’ card base. I applied “Lime Christmas Green Paper Glitz” to the bottom half and set it aside to dry. A second 4.75” circle was die cut twice from heavy weight orange card stock, glued together, coated with “Autumn Persimmon Paper Glitz” and set it aside to dry as well. The standing ghost from the “Not Scared? You Should Be!” Stamp Set was heat embossed with white power on heavy vellum and fussy cut. Since there are a lot of small intricate pieces on this gorgeous scene, I die cut the “Halloween Graveyard Cover Plate Die” on heavy black card stock using my metal plate adaptor and it cut perfectly! I backed the windows in the haunted house with lime green card stock to coordinate with my Paper Glitz, heat embossed the sassy sentiment and added some sequins from the “Trick Or Treaters” Sequins Mix Plus. To assemble, I reinforced the score line on the ‘rocking’ card base with my Teflon Bone Folder and attached the orange Paper Glitz circle with Scor-Tape. After determining the ghost’s position, it was adhered in place onto the orange backdrop and the graveyard die cut panel was attached on top with foam tape and liquid adhesive. A couple of tiny die cut bats (from the Witch Slim Line Die Cutting System Insert) were added to finish up the card! I just love this interactive design and that giant ghost guarding the graveyard as it rocks from side to side! Thanks so much for joining me today and happy crafting! Rachelle

Hello! It's Michelle here today, and I'm sharing a card I made using a die, a stencil, a sequin mix and Paper Glitz. I used Distress Oxide inks to create the sunset in the background, and then used part of the Handcut Snowflake 6x6 Stencil and some Paper Glitz Sparkle to create the pattern in the sky. I used the Santa's Snowy Hills die to create the three tiers of snowy hills, and ink blended with some blue ink to create dimension between them. I finished with a stamped sentiment, and some snowflake shaped sequins from the Icicles sequin mix. Have you seen our 7 in 7 event on Facebook? We have 7 free classes over 7 days!  Hello!  Larisa here and guess what...it's Release Day!!!!!  This month is packed with so many must-have products; you do not want to miss it!  Best of all, everything is AVAILABLE in The Shop NOW!  Be sure to head over there to check it out!   Today, I'm sharing several Halloween cards made with just a hand-full of all the new goodies!  All Hallow's Eve is just around the corner and this release is sure to scare up some fun!   For my first card, I created a quick and easy shaker using acetate and my sewing machine.  I stamped out this ghost image from the Not Scared You Should Be Stamp set and fussy cut it out.  Then I adhered it on top of some clear acetate.  I sewed that to the top of some orange patterned paper in my stash and before closing it up completely I filled it with some of the new Midnight Tales Sequins Mix. Then I added my sentiment and that's it.  Such a quick and easy way to create a shaker, but still makes a big impact!   This next card features the new Spider Web Cover Plate Die.  This die is so intricate and creates a total wow factor on your projects.  To create my card, I started with a piece of black card stock.  I die cut the spider web from white glitter paper and adhered it the black.  Then I stamped out and colored up Lexi Girl.  I used the coordinating die to cut her out and then I layered her on top of my web.  Across the bottom of the card I added some strips of patterned paper and layered my sentiment on top.  To finish the card off, I added a fun sentiment from the Not Scared You Should Be Clear Stamp Set.  I just love how this turned out!   My final card features the cutest little monsters.  These not-so-scary guys are part of the new You Creep Me Out Clear Stamp Set.  To create my card, I used the Scallop Frames Slim Line Die Cutting System.  After cutting the layered out of patterned paper and card stock.  I layered it all together, creating three shaker windows down the center of the card.  I used the NEW Trick Or Treaters Sequin Mix Plus.  It is a Must Have!  Then I stamped out my images, colored them up with Copics, and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  Using foam tape, I popped them onto my card and added a few of the bat die cut from the Slim Line Die Cutting System Witch Insert.  Finally, I added my sentiment across the middle and there you have it.   You Creep Me Out Clear Stamp Set Slim Line Funky Christmas Envelopes You Creep Me Out Coordinating Dies Slim Line Die Cutting System Witch Insert Not Scared You Should Be Spider Web Cover Plate Die Midnight Tales Sequins Mix Plus Trick Or Treaters Sequins Mix Plus Scallop Framed Slim Line Die Cutting System Lexi Girl Lexi Girl Coordinating Die   Gem Pick Up Tool Black Hybrid Ink Thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy Crafting!

Have you ever used one of the seamless stamps from Picket Fence Studios? They allow you to create a background panel covered in stamped images of any size, as you can stamp them top to bottom, left to right as many times as you like, and they line up seamlessly! Well, I decided to use this seamless stamp a bit differently today, to come up with a clean and simple card design. I coloured the images with Copic markers, fussy cut them out, and adhered them to a white card base. I used a sentiment from the Dragon Fruit set. Thanks for visiting :)

Hello!  Today, I'm sharing a fun zodiac card!  This is Libra Girl.  As a libra myself, I knew I can to create a card with her.  To begin, I started with a piece of white card stock and trimmed it to fit my A2 sized card.  Then I used the middle tone of the NEW Paper Glaze Ombre Sky Blues to create a beautiful stenciled design across the paper.  I let that dry for an hour or so and worked on my stamped image.  I colored her up with Copics, and die cut the image using a large circle die in my stash.  Then I placed it on top of my stenciled design and added a stamped sentiment across the bottom.  I think this would make such a fun birthday card for that special Libra in you life!   Copic Colors: Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04, R20 Hair: Y21, Y26, E87 Blue: B00, B02 Products Used: Fancy Congratulations Sentiments Fancy Congratulations Sentiments Coordinating Dies Libra Girl Paper Glaze Ombre- Sky Blues Mixed Media Spatulas Black Hybrid Ink Center Flower Stencil  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday! It's Ceal here. Today I am sharing a card using the Tropical Hibiscus Bouquet stamp set.  To create this card I started with a white top folding card base, a black panel and a white heavystock panel for the image. I stamped the image with our black hybrid ink and then watercolored it using Karin markers. I love how these watercolor markers have so much pigment and are so bright.  For the greeting I used a sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments stamp set stamped in versamark ink on black and then embossed with white powder. I used the More Fancy Sentiments die to cut it out.  Supply List with affiliate links at no extra cost to you.

To create this card I started with a white slimline card base and a panel of white heavystock cut down with the SLDCS Nested Rectangles.  I cut out the Tree Insert in the center of the panel and then cut out the Mushroom Insert on both sides.  I watercolored all three using Daniel Smith watercolors and added the panel to the base.  To finish the card I added a sentiment from the Early Tulips set.

Rainbow birthday card with Michelle

by Michelle Lupton on Apr 23 2021
Hello! Michelle here today to share a rainbow card I made using products from this month's release. I inked this card in a most unusual way! I had a very, VERY old ink pad that had a rainbow of colours on a series of little foam pads. The foam had degraded so much that the pad was unusable, so I swiped the pad over some card bases and then scraped the degraded foam off the surface with a stencil scraping tool. (You could achieve the same look by masking off stripes and ink blending heavily with a rainbow inks)  I then placed the Details of a Wing stencil over the rainbow card and added white pigment ink using a Life Changing Blender brush.  I then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Inside Quotes: Birthday set in black ink, and adhered a thin strip of black cardstock to cover up the edge of the inked portion of the card. Thanks for visiting :)

Hello!  Today, I'm sharing a vibrant, floral card using Beautiful Girl Sierra!  This stamp is gorgeous and I had so much fun coloring her up!  To begin, I stamped her out in tan ink and colored her up using the no-line coloring technique.  Then I die cut her out using the coordinating die.  For the background, I used the NEW Beautiful Girls Flower Wreath.  I stamped it out, colored it up with Copics, and trimmed it to fit my A2 sized card.  Then I added my Sierra image to the center of the wreath using some foam tape.  For the flowers in her hair, I wanted them to pop.  So I added some of the roses from the Beautiful Girls Flower set.  Then I stamped out my sentiment, cut it out with the coordinating die, and popped it across the bottom of my card using foam tape.  Some Stickles glitter over the flower images finishes this card off.  Products Used: Black Hybrid Ink Beautiful Girls Flower Wreath Fancy Daily Sentiments Fancy Daily Sentiments Coordinating Die Beautiful Girls- Sierra Beautiful Girls Sierra Coordinating Die Beautiful Girl Flowers Beautiful Girl Flowers Coordinating Die

Just Peeking in on You! with Karen Reategui

by Karen Reategui on Apr 15 2021
Hi friends! Today I’m over Picket Fence Studios blog showing this slimline card featuring the new Cats are Family Stamp and dies, Scallop Frame Slimline Dies and Slimline Details of a Wing Stencil.   Let’s begin! I placed the Slimline Details of a Wing Stencil on top of a white cardstock an using a Life Changing Blender Brush I applied Lawn Fawn Manatee ink. Then, I used one of the scallop frame to die cut the cardstock using my Gemini Jr. Additionally, using one of the circle die from the Slimline Die Cutting System I die cut the scalloped frame.   I placed a Neenah Desert Storm panel underneath the scalloped panel using glue. At this point, I needed to stamp the sentiment from the same stamp Cats are Family and using Black Hybrid ink.   Finally, I stamped two images from Cats are Family Stamp using Gingerbread Hybrid ink onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. I colored them using Copic markers and then I die cut them with them coordinating dies. Also, a white folded slimline card was adhered at the back using glue and this card was done. I really hope you like this card and give this stamp a try. Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by! Your friend, Karen

Follow your Path

by Ceal Pritchett on Apr 07 2021
Hey Y'all! It's Ceal here. Today I am sharing a couple slimline cards using some of the amazing March products . First up, I created this shaker card using the Fish for Infinity Slimline stencil, some distress inks, sequins and diecuts.  I started by creating a background using distress inks in Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers.  I used the SLDCS to cut a frame for the shaker. I placed the Fish for Infinity stencil down on the base using Pixie Spray and blended Blueprint Sketch distress ink over it. Next I stamped the  sentiment from the Follow Your Path set which happens to be at a great price right now on the background I had created and added it to the front. Next I created the confetti for the shaker, to do this I die cut several of the whales from the Mermaids of the Sea die set in holographic papers and then added some of the Sharkbite Sequin Mix and the Oceans of Green Gem Mix. For my next card I used the Whales & Mermaids Slimline Stencil and some paper glazes.  For this card I started with a background I created using Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch distress inks. After the background was dry I placed the Whales & Mermaids Slimline Stencil down with Pixie Spray. I mixed some of the new Paper Glaze Enhancer with Mint Hydrangea Paper Glaze and spread it across the whale part of the stencil, I also watered down some Artemisia Silver Paper Glaze and added it on top to get the blueish gray color. For underneath I mixed some Artemisia Silver with some glitter.

Two Eye-Catching Cards with Larisa

by Larisa Hohman on Mar 31 2021
Hello!  Larisa here and today, I'm sharing bold and bright cards that are sure to grab your attention.  Both feature products from the new release and both have vivid pops of color that catch your attention!   My first card features the NEW Mail's Here Stamp.  To begin, I stamped out the Raining Envelopes Stamp a couple of times.  This Building Backgrounds stamp is perfect because it lines up perfectly.  You can stamp it and infinite number of times to create any sized background!  I colored my background using a light teal Copic Marker (BG10).  Then I added a strip of red polka dot paper to the bottom and trimmed it to fit my card base.  I also layered the panel on some light grey card stock and trimmed to fit.  For the hello sentiment, I die cut it in bright blue card stock and blue foam.  I adhered the two layers together and added them to the card panel just above the polka dot paper.  I love the dimension this technique adds!  Then, I stamped out the Mail's Here image, colored it up to match, and cut it with the coordinating die.  After adhering that to the panel, I also added "my dear friend" sentiment just below it from the More Fancy Sentiments Stamp set.   For my next card, I decided to create a shaker card using the NEW Purple-Rita Sequin Mix.  I started with a piece of purple card stock and added some tulle to the top of it.  I stitched down the sides with my sewing machine and filled it with my sequins.  Then I used the Netting Cover Plate to cut a piece of white card stock and I adhered that to my card panel only in the center of the card where I knew the glue would be covered.  I stamped out the Lilies For Spring and Kylee Girl images, colored them up, and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I layered them on top of my card panel using foam tape and a bit of hot glue to make sure they were stuck down well.  My sentiment from the Job Well Done Set finishes it off!   Products Used: Mail's Here Mail's Here Coordinating Die Raining Envelopes Kylee Girl Kylee Girl Coordinating Die Purple-Rita Sequin Mix Lillies For Spring Lilies For Spring Coordinating Die Job Well Done More Fancy Sentiments Clear Stamp More Fancy Sentiments Die Netting Cover Plate Die Slim Line Oversized Hello Word Die   Gem Pick Up Tool Black Hybrid Ink Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!
