Strelitzia card by Michelle

Hello! When I'm not making cards, I'm a bona fide science nerd, so this Bird of Paradise (otherwise known as Strelitzia) stamp brings out the botany nerd in me. This flower is not a flower - it is an inflorescence, which is a bunch of flowers. In this case, the individual flowers bloom one after the other in a series. They are pollinated by birds, who stand on the blue part of the flower, exposing the sticky pollen that coats their feet and that then gets carried to the next inflorescence. If you're not bored yet, I made this card by stamping the main image and colouring it with Copic markers. I used a dark blue card base, inked with the Flowers Stencil and white pigment ink. Slim Line Beautiful Girl Cards with Larisa

Hello! Larisa here. I hope everyone is keeping warm! Today, I'm sharing two slim line cards featuring the new release and a couple of the beautiful girl stamps. For my first card, I used the Slim Line Die Cutting System to cut my card base. Then I cut a smaller panel from white card stock and used the new Slim Line English Brick Wall Stencil to add a tan brick wall effect. I die cut a circle from the bottom right hand corner and backed with a black mat. I stamped out my beautiful girl image, colored her up with Copics, and die cut her out using the coordinating die. Then I added some gold thread behind her and popped her in the middle of the circle using foam tape. I added the New Seriously Word Die just above the image and stamped my sentiment just below. For my next card, I used The Slim Line Die Cutting System to cut my card panel. Then I used the stencil and some Pink Carnation Paper Glaze to create a soft background on a strip of white card stock. Once it was dry, I trimmed it to fit my panel and adhered it down. Then I heat embossed my sentiment in white sand added a strip of gold glitter card stock. For my image, I stamped her out, colored her up with Copics, and cut her out using the coordinating die. Then I popped her up with foam tape. The Sleeping Tree

NEW Slim Lines with Larisa

Hello! Larisa here! Today, I'm sharing a couple of slim line cards using some of the new goodies from the January Release! Slim line cards are all the rage right now and Picket Fence Studios has you covered! So many stencils, dies, and even envelopes! It's your on-stop-shop for all your slim line needs!!! For my first card, I used the NEW Slim Line Ocean Waves Cover plate. However, instead of creating waves with it, I die cut it from glitter white card stock and made snow! I love that it's so versatile! I layered my glitter panel on top of some white card stock cut with the Slim Line Die Cutting System and added some die cut snowflakes throughout the scene. For my gnomes, I stamped them out, trimmed them apart, colored them with my Copics, and tucked them into the hills of my snow banks. Then I added some of the NEW Spring Fling Sequins and Purple Side of a Rainbow Gems to give it some sparkle. I stamped my sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments Stamp Set and die cut it out with the coordinating dies (this is one of my favorite sets, by the way! Love it!). Then I popped it on top of my card with some foam tape for added dimension. For my next card, I created a vertical slim line card. To begin, I die cut a piece of white card stock using the Slim Line Die Cutting System. I die cut a smaller rectangle from white card stock as well and used the NEW The Sleeping Tree Stamp Set to stamp my tree in the center. Then I used some distress inks and the NEW 52 Layers of Clouds Stencil to create my background, careful not to cover the center of my tree image. I colored that in with Copics. Then I die cut some Tall Grass and adhered that to the bottom of the image. I added some of the NEW Fire Gem Mix to my image, matching the colors with the distress inks in the clouds. Then I stamped my sentiment from the Fancy Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set. I used the coordinating dies to cut it out and added it to the bottom of my scene. Drink Up: Coffee with Larisa

Hello! Larisa here and I'm so excited to be starting the new year with one of my favorite images! This beauty is Beautiful Girl Jill. Isn't she fabulous??? To create my card, I stamped my image in light tan ink and colored it up with Copic Markers using the "no line" technique. Then, I die cut it out using the Coordinating Die Set. For the background, I used the Life Changing Blender Brushes and the Evergreens Stencil. Then, I layered my panel on top of some tan card stock and stitched around it. Using foam tape, I added my image to the left side of the card panel. Then I die cut the coffee word die from white and dark brown card stock, layered it up and added it to my card using foam tape as well. Then I tucked in some die cut snowflakes, sequins, and the rest of my sentiment, stamped from the Drink Your Greens Clear Stamp Set. I have to say, I absolutely love how this card turned out! Bright and Colorful Scene Cards with Larisa

Hello! Larisa here and today, I have two very bright and very colorful scene cards to share with you! For my first card, I paired A Walk in the Park with Bugville. I stamped out my park scene and masked it off. Then I stamped Bugville in the background. I colored up the scene with copics and trimmed it to fit my A2 size card. Then I stenciled in my sun with distress inks. A very vibrant way to say, "hello!" For my second card, I used the Slimline Die cutting system and cut 2 birch tree panel from the center. Then I stenciled in some clouds and stamped my grass on a separate piece of paper. I trimmed that to fit behind my card panel and adhered the two pieces together. Then I mounted that on a piece of teal card stock. I stamped out my flower and leaf images on Copic-friendly card stock and colored them up. Then I die cut them out using the coordinating dies and popped them on top of my card front. The "happy birthday" sentiment across the top finishes it off. NEW Slim Line Cards with Larisa

Hello, hello! Larisa here and today, I'm sharing two fun and easy cards using the new Slim Line Die Cutting System as well as some of the new products from the November Release! All products used are linked below. Be sure to check out the Picket Fence Shop to see all the new goodies! For my first, card, I started with some teal card stock and die cut it using the largest rectangle from the Slim Line Die Cutting System. Then I use the smaller rectangle from a lighter blue card stock. I used the stitched circle die in the set to create random circles on my lighter blue panel. Then I adhered it to the teal piece. I used some of the new snowflake dies to cut snowflakes in various sizes from white card stock, holographic card stock, and glassine paper. Then I layered them on top of my card and adhered with Glossy Accents. I added some scattered sequins throughout the card and finished it off with a sentiment heat embossed in white on black card stock. Such a quick and easy card that really packs a punch! For my next card, I used the new Slim Line Die cutting System and paired it with the new Pet all the Dogs Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. To begin, I chose a bright blue piece of card stock and die cut it using the largest rectangle in the set. Then, I die cut a piece of white card stock using the smaller rectangle die. I used the picket fence die to cut three openings in my white panel. Then I used the grass die to cut three grass pieces from green card stock. I layered each one behind the picket fence openings and adhered them together. Then I colored up my dogs, cut them out using the coordinating dies, and tucked one of them in between my grass and fence. Then I adhered it all together and popped my dogs on top using foam tape. I stamped my sentiment across the top and added some die cut clouds from the A Spooky Day Stamp and Coordinating Die set. Again, another quick and easy card that's sure to brighten anyone's day! Slim Line Diecutting System cards with Erica!

Hi guys! It’s Erica back on the blog today with some cards made with previously made backgrounds and the Slim Line Diecutting System! I have a habit of making more backgrounds than I need when I’m on a roll, just to be on the safe side... and because I really like it. What can I say? Ink blending, stencilling and ink smooshing is so much fun! It does lead to a big pile of backgrounds, which do come in handy when you then want to play with the Slim Line Diecutting System. I started out by using the smaller rectangle on a panel made with the Slim Line Dashes. After ink blending with the stencil, I spritz water on top of the left over ink, then place water colour paper on top and press down to “print”. This gives a bit of a water coloured look, and it’s a great way to get at least one more extra background out of your ink blending! On this rectangle I then used the forest silhouette square, three times. The negatives I kept for a second card. These I added to a white rectangle with foam tape, stamped up a sentiment from Inside Quotes: Christmas in Black Hybrid Ink and added a generous sprinkling of Gin & Tonic sequins with the help of Glossy Accents. The first panel I adhered to a background made with the Stars Stencil and Artemisa Silver Paper Glaze on white pearlescent card stock. This one was also finished off with a simple sentiment from the Inside Quotes: Christmas stamp set and Black Hybrid Ink. Using another pre coloured panel, this one with a now VERY discounted Peony Bouquet stamp set, I used the stitched circle to cut out the flowers from it. Here is a fun tip: You don’t have to use the cutouts lined up straight on your background. On this card I didn’t even cut them out as full circles, just to change things up further! The card base was made with one white rectangle, and layered up with one smaller cut out of green card stock. This one had a little texture added to it by inks blending some green ink through the Slim Line Dashes stencil with a Life Changing Blender Brush. The sentient is from Seriously Literally, and is stamped with Black Hybrid ink on white card stock, then trimmed down and adhered to the card across the circles. I also had a background made with the Slim Line Floral stencil and Golden Rose Paper Glaze on white card stock. I love this combo, it’s so elegant. I decided to turn this into a wedding card, but had to fix a little problem. I managed to smudge the paper glaze when I put it on, I might have overworked it a little or not covered the stencil with enough Pixie Spray. To cover it up, I used the stitched circle over it and simply cut out the bad bit. This one was finished off with a gold heat embossed sentiment from Fancy Sentiment stamp set, and some Candy Corn Shot sequins along the edge of the sentiment banner. The last card is made with another slim line stencil, this time the Radial one and one of my fave colour combos for it: Yellow, orange and red. I love this look so much and made so many with this combo. Too many maybe... Anyway! I used the stitched circle again, and cut out the middle of the panel. On the back of this I adhered acetate to create a see-through window, and all around the edges and the circle I added foam tape. This whole shebang was adhered to a dark grey card base, cut to size with the larger rectangle, after a good amount of sequins from the Candy Corn Shot sequin mix was added to the window. As it’s a shaker card I thought this sentiment ‘this card contains a lot of nuts and bolts’, from the So Franken Cute stamp set, was a fun way to finish it off. Well, with that last one, that is it from me but I really hope you like these cards and found a good dose of inspiration here. Alcohol ink kaleidoscope with Michelle Lupton

Hello! It's Michelle here today, and I'm sharing my very first attempt at a new technique (well, new to me!) I added the kaleidoscope stencil over my gel press, and then added two colours of alcohol ink and one colour of alcohol pearls. I brayered them over the stencil, then removed the stencil and allowed them to dry. I then brayered a thin layer of white acrylic gouache over the top and took a print from the gel press. I finished the card with the Thankyou for being you sentiment stamp and some Gin and Tonic sequins. Thanks for visiting :)

Hello Lovely Slim Line with Larisa

Hello! Or should I say, "Hello, Lovely!" I hope you are having a fabulous week! Today, I am sharing a pretty slim line card featuring the NEW Slim Line Die Cutting System! As you've probably already heard, this Die Cutting System is so easy to use and offers endless possibilities! For my card, I paired it with some patterned paper and Beautiful Girl Karen! First, I die cut the smaller rectangle from some plaid patterned paper. Then I layered that on top of some white card stock die cut with the larger rectangle. This created the base panel for my card. Then I used the tree square from the set and die cut that from some white card stock. I trimmed around the edges to create a white border and then layered that onto some black card stock and trimmed again. Then I adhered it to the top of my card panel. I stamped, colored, and die cut my image and popped her in the center of the frame using foam tape. Then I die cut and layered up my "lovely" sentiment. I adhered that just below my image. The "hello" sentiment is from the Dragon Fruit stamp set. I heat embossed that in white and trimmed it into a rectangle. Then I added it just over the bottom of my "lovely" sentiment. A few Gin and Tonic Sequins finish this card off! I just love how it turned out and it was so easy to create! A Little Nuts with Ceal Pritchett

Hello Friends! It's Ceal here. Today I am sharing a card made with the Slim Line Die Cutting System. This is my first card made with it and I am loving it! To create my card I used the smaller of the two panel dies and cut out two panels, one out of white and one out of Kraft cardstock. To the Kraft panel I added the square die cuts with the birch trees. On the white one I blended a sky background using the Life Changing Blender Brushes. To make the trees look more like birch trees I added some Snowdrop paper glaze to them and then using a brown Micron pen added the notches. Next I stamped the squirrels from the A little Nuts on a seperate piece of cardstock, colored them using Copic markers and cut them out with the Coordinating dies. I added them along with the sentiment to the blended background. To turn this into a shaker card I added a piece of acetate to the kraft panel, placed foam tape around the squares and added sequins from the Maple Burbn Splash, Candy Corn Shot and Screwdriver mixes. Clean And Simple Cards with Erica and A Tree

Hey guys! It's Erica on the Picket Fence Blog today, with a couple of CAS cards made with the A Tree diecut. Both of these are done in a quite simple manner: I cut the A Tree out of two different panels. One had a pattern done by pressing a piece of paper on top of the Slim Line Broken Fence stencil, after I had used Paper Glaze in Fern Green, Leaf Green, Jade Vine and Cornflower Blue. It created a fun and colourful pattern and the texture is amazing! This tree I adhered to a white card base, because I wanted to keep the focus on the Paper Glaze texture and colours. To finish it off I stamped a sentiment from Favorite Notification, in Black Hybrid Ink on white card stock. This I trimmed down and then glued to the card. I nearly added some sequins from Gin & Tonic, but decided to keep it super simple. The second card was done in a very similar manner, but the piece of card stock I used for the A Tree was sprayed with Nuvo Sparkle Spray in Morning Fog. It's dark and shimmery and just fantastic. I glued it to another card base to again, keep it very clean. I think this design would work really well for a sympathy card, and I would have loved to have one in the same font as the other Fancy stamp sets. Like Fancy Sentiments, More Fancy Sentiments and Fancy Christmas Sentiments. Because there isn't one, I decided to use another sentiment from Favorite Notification. This time I stamped it onto the card directly, right above the tree, in Black Hybrid Ink. So, there we have it! Super simple, but fun, and of course these could be personalised with colours of choice and occasion. Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Hi friends! Today I’m up at Picket Fence Studios Blog sharing this card for all coffee lovers and I’m featuring Coffee Understand Stamp Set and Dies, Coffee Word Die, Favorite Notification Stamp Set and Fancy Flourish Stencil along with WOW! Etched Platinum, WOW! Bahama and WOW! Weathered Gold Embossing Powders. Let’s start! I placed this beautiful and intricate Fancy Flourish Stencil on top of a white A2 panel, applied WOW! Embossing Pad and then heat embossed it with Etched Platinum Embossing Powder. Then, I adhered a white notecard at the back using liquid glue. I die cut a white circle out of cardstock and glued it on my background. Additionally, I stamped two cups from Coffee Understand Stamp Set using LDRS Creative Hybrid Inks and die cut both using the coordinating die. I also, added the cups to my background. Finally, I die cut the Coffee Word Die and heat embossed it using WOW! Bahama Embossing Powder. I put this word die next to the cups. A strip with my sentiment was also placed below and I used Favorite Notification Stamp Set and WOW! Weathered Gold Embossing Powder to heat embossed it. This card is flat so it’s perfect for mailing. A Spooky Day With Ceal

Hello Everyone! It's Ceal, here to share with you today. Can you believe that it is almost October? How did that happen when it was March was 3365 days alone. This has been the longest year but also time has flown by, only in 2020. With October comes Halloween which I love, but who know how it is going to be this year right? Anyhow I love making cute halloween cards and when we got the Coordinating dies to match A Spooky Day I was excited to make this card. I started with a top folding white card base, a black panel, a purple pane and another piece of white cardstock to stamp the image. I stamped the haunted house image from A Spooky Day and colored it using Copic markers. I created the background by using a mask for the moon and distress inks in Soot, Wilted Violet, Carved Pumpkin and Crackling Campfire. After I got the images all colored, I cut them out with the A Spooky Day coordinating dies and created a scene. I was going to add a greeting to the front but then decided to add it on the inside. Seamless Stamps with Larisa

Hello, hello! Larisa here and today, I'm sharing two more cards featuring a couple of the new seamless stamps from the September Release. Be sure to hop over to the shop and check out all the new goodies! For my first card, I used the NEW All Wired Seamless Stamp! How fun is this! I only stamped it one time for my project, but the really cool thing about these seamless stamps is that the match up perfectly and you can stamp them multiple times to create a background in whatever size you want! For my card, I stamped it once, trimmed it into a square and mounted it on a piece of black card stock. I colored it up with my Copic Markers and added a few highlights with my white gel pen. I thought this background would coordinate well with BFF Claire. So I colored her up, cut her out with the coordinating dies, and popped her on top of my card using foam tape. Then I added a "happy birthday" sentiment from the Kylee Boo Stamp Set. I just love how this turned out! Such a fun way to say, "happy birthday." All Wired Seamless Stamp BFF Claire Bundle- Stamp and Die Kylee Boo Stamp Black Hybrid Ink Pad For my next card, I used the NEW Sweater Pattern Maker Stamp. This is another seamless stamp that matches up perfectly when you stamp it multiple times. For my card, I stamped it twice. You can't even tell. It really is seamless! I decided to pair it with the Jill Girl Stamp. I stamped her out first, masked her off and then stamped my background on top. I kept things classic and stamped the pattern in black on white card stock. Then I trimmed it into a rectangle and mounted it to the front of my card base. I removed the mask and colored the image up with Copics. For the sentiment, I used the NEW Fancy Christmas Sentiments Set. I stamped my sentiment on a chunky piece of black card stock and heat embossed it in white. Then I added it to the bottom of my card, and there you have it, one warm and cozy holiday card. Early Tulip Bouquet Card

Hello Stampers and Happy Friday! Becky Roberts here from Inking Idaho with a pretty tulip card. We have a very, very short window of tulip growth here in Idaho, so when I see them I really enjoy them. I stamped the Early Tulip Bouquet stamp with the Picket Fence Black ink pad. I colored it in with a few Copic markers and then hand cut it out. I turned the image over and on the backside, gently rubbed with a big ball stylus giving each flower a little bubble shape to it. Then I added a foam square to the center of each of those areas and placed it on a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" cardstock. That way it is popped up and has a little rounded shape to each flower. I used the Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil (one of my personal favorites!) and Distress Oxide ink with the Life Changing Blender Brushes on the card panel before adhering it to a folder card. Is it Halloween Yet? with Larisa

Hello! Larisa here and I'm so excited to be sharing a couple of Halloween cards with you guys. I don't know about you, but Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday and I always get so excited when companies release their Halloween goodies! For my first card, I used the New Autumn Harvest Collage Stamp. I stamped it just one time in Black Hybrid Ink. Then I die cut a black rectangular frame and and created a shaker element by adding some acetate and a handful of Black Magic Sequin Mix. After my shaker element was created. I stamped my image again and fussy cut the raven from the collage. I popped him up on a die cut scalloped circle from my stash and added it to the bottom left of my card. I also layered on some glitter washi and a stamped sentiment from the Inside Quotes: Christmas Stamp Set. I just masked off the "Christmas" portion of the sentiment. And there you have it, a festive fall card with a bit of a spooky feel. For my next card, I couldn't resist the New Jack O Lanterns Stamp Set. In fact, the instant I saw it, I squealed with delight. To begin, I stamped my image once on some copic-friendly card stock. Then I colored all the pumpkins white except one. I chose the largest pumpkin in the bottom left corner and colored him up in the traditional orange. Then I trimmed my paper into a square and mounted that on top of some black card stock. I trimmed that so there was a 1/8 inch frame all the way around and then mounted that on a deep purple card stock. I love this stacked frame effect. It really draws your eye into the image. Finally, I stamped my sentiment from the Believe in the Magic Set and heat embossed that with white embossing powder. Sure, this sentiment was meant for Christmas, but if you ask me, it's perfect for Halloween! Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you are having a great week!
