Happy 12th Birthday

by Brenda Noelke on Jun 17 2024
Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with you today!! I hope you had a great weekend!! I'm sharing a card today featuring a few goodies from the new June release combined with several older products!! My niece will be 12 in December and she loves purple, so this will be prefect for her!! I started by stamping the cupcake from the Sweet Holiday Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored it with Copic markers, added dots to the stamen with a white gel pen, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die. I also stamped the "12" candles from the Blow Out the Candles Stamp Set onto white cardstock with purple die ink and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. For the background, I stenciled the Sprinkles 6x8 Layering Stencils onto white cardstock using dye inks and blender brushes, then die-cut it with the middle sized arched die in the Basic Die-cutting Die Set 1. I die-cut a frame from pink cardstock using the smallest and middle dies from the same die set. The sprinkled panel and frame were adhered to a card front from the Birthday Bash Fabulous Foiling A2 Card Fronts pack. The cupcake and candles were adhered with liquid glue. For the sentiment, I die-cut "birthday" three times from white cardstock and once from black cardstock using the Happy Birthday Word Die Set. I used a Pint-size Paper Pouncer to pounce one of the white layers with purple dye ink. All of the layers were adhered together with liquid glue, slightly offsetting the black layer, then adhered across the cupcake liner. "Happy" is also from the Sweet Holiday Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with purple ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. Another layer was die-cut from black ink. They were adhered together with the black layer offset and popped up with black foam tape. Sound Waves Gems were adhered to the top of the candles and around the sentiment to finish off the card. Thanks so much for spending a bit of your Monday with me!! Have a great week!! Brenda

Mixed Media Stencil Inspiration

by Andrea Shell on Jun 06 2024
Hello, again! It's Andrea back with a pair of ocean-themed cards featuring two stencils from Picket Fence Studios' latest release. The inspiration for these cards came directly from the stencils I used, which were Make the World Shimmer A2 Stencil and Rainbow Dreams 6"x8" Stencil. The swirls in the Rainbow Dreams Stencil (card on the right) reminded me of waves, and the theme for these cards was born. Let's start with the easier card, shall we? I don't think I have ever stenciled over patterned paper before, but I love how this card turned out! That beautiful background is from the Magical Seas Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts pack. To my chosen patterned paper, I applied Paper Glaze Luxe: Twinkle Lights Gold through the Make the World Shimmer A2 Stencil. Once that was dry, I trimmed down the panel slightly and adhered it to a white card. That large "you" is from the Hello to You Word Dies. First, I created the teal paper by applying Paper Glaze Velvet: Ocean Odyssey Tropical Cocktail to white cardstock. Once the glaze was dry, I diecut "you" from the teal paper once and from white cardstock three times. I stacked the diecuts, offsetting the teal layer to create a highlight, and glued the diecuts to my card. I finished with a sub-sentiment from the Animal Crackers: You Deserve to be Spoiled stamp set. My second card features the Rainbow Dreams 6"x8" Stencil combined with the Seahorses of the Sea stamp set. Does the stencil remind you of waves, too? First, I diecut a panel of white cardstock with the Pinking Shear A2 Cover Plate Die and masked the edges with low-tack tape. After placing the Rainbow Dreams Stencil over the panel, I applied a couple shades of distess oxides with the Life Changing Blender Brushes. I removed the stencil and went over the panel with the same inks for a softer look. Next, I added Paper Splatter in the colors of Liquid Forest Green and White Snowflake to the panel and removed the masks. For my focal point, I chose the large seahorse from the Seahorses of the Sea stamp set. I colored him with Copics, added some white highlights, and cut him out with the coordinating dies. I painted white cardstock with the Liquid Forest Green Paper Splatter and diecut some foliage with the Layering Flora: Leaves and Twigs Dies. I attached the seahorse to my card with foam tape and tucked in the foliage. I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Swanky Sentiments: Sympathy stamp set, diecut it with the coordinating dies, and popped it up with a strip of foam tape. Finally, I added some teal sequins from the Tropical Breeze sequin mix. Thanks for stopping by! *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

by Brenda Noelke on Jun 05 2024
Hello, crafty friends!! I hope you are all doing well!! Brenda here with a thank you card featuring the gorgeous Blooming Trumpet Flowers Stamp Set, along with a few other goodies from the latest May release!! I began by stamping the flower and leaves from the Blooming Trumpet Flowers Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added dots to the stamen with a yellow gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. Next, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the smallest die in the A2 Rectangle Layering Die Set. I stenciled Paper Glaze Luxe: Twinkle Lights - Purple onto the panel through the You Make the World Shimmer A2 Stencil with a palette knife. Once dry, it was adhered to a panel of purple gingham cardstock from the Sweet Gingham Fabulous Glossy Cardstock Pack. The sentiment, also from the Blooming Trumpet Flowers Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. The sentiment, flowers and leaves were all popped up with foam tape. Sequins from the Razzle Dazzle and All About the Purple sequin mixes finish off the card. Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a fabulous Wednesday!! Brenda

Sending Prayers with the Blooming Trumpet Flowers Stamp

by Andrea Shell on May 16 2024
Hello, again! It's Andrea with you sharing some inspiration featuring the gorgeous, new Blooming Trumpet Flowers stamp set. Aren't those flowers from the Blooming Trumpet Flowers stamp set beautiful?! I love that the set has individual flowers that you can use to add to the large image! I stamped my images with Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copics. I cut out the images with the coordinating dies. To keep the focus on those blooms, I left the rest of the card rather simple. I created the lattice panel by diecutting white cardstock with the A2 Rectangles for Card Layering Dies. I used two of the layering dies from the set to cut the peach and green mats and layered all three diecuts onto a white card. While the Blooming Trumpet Flowers set has some lovely sentiments (I love the combination of fonts and sizes), I decided to use the new Get Well Word Dies for my sentiment. I diecut the sentiment once from gold foil cardstock and several times from white cardstock and stacked the diecuts. I arranged my colored images onto my card, adhering them with foam tape. I attached my diecut sentiment with liquid adhesive and finished with some gold pearls from my stash. Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget about the Instagram hop and giveaway going on now. *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

Underwater Shaker Card

by Andrea Shell on May 02 2024
Hi there! It's Andrea back to share a shaker card featuring the new You Octopi My Thoughts stamp set. I love the ocean theme of the April release! Is anyone else itching to head to the beach now?! I started by stamping the octopus from You Octopi My Thoughts with Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copics, added some white details with a gel pen, and cut him out with the coordinating dies. The foliage is from the Layering Flora: Leaves and Twigs Dies. I diecut a few shapes from white cardstock and then placed the diecuts onto the 4"x4" Paper Inking Palette. Using the Rainbow Pint-Sized Paper Pouncers, I "colored" the diecuts with distress inks. I wanted to make a porthole style shaker, so I diecut the 3.0" Connected Circles Shaker Dies five times from white cardstock and once from metallic paper. I layered the white diecuts together and backed the silver one with acetate before gluing it on top of the white diecuts. I glued the octopus and foliage to one of the Beachcombing Fabulous Glossy A2 Card Fronts, added some Iridescent Moonshine sequins, and sealed them in place with the stacked diecuts. I trimmed around the shaker to remove the excess from the patterned paper and foliage. I stamped a sentiment from You Octopi My Thoughts in black onto an A2 card. I attached my shaker with double-sided adhesive and glued silver pearls to the silver frame to complete the porthole. Thanks for stopping by! *Affiliate links used at no cost to you.

Seahorse Shaker Card

by Andrea Shell on Apr 17 2024
Hello there! It's Andrea back with you sharing some new products from the April release. I love seahorses, so I couldn't pass up the new Seahorses of the Sea stamp set. I also used the sea grass images from You Octopi My Thoughts. I stamped everything with Black Hybrid ink and colored them with Copics. I added white highlights and cut out the images with the coordinating dies from each set. The new Magical Seas Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts have beautiful, nighttime, sea scenes that make creating cards super quick and easy. I chose one from the pack and adhered it to a white card. I created a frame from white cardstock with the Basic Die Cutting Die Set 1. I backed the white frame with clear acetate and a layer of foam tape. After placing a bunch of sequins from the new Island Blues sequin mix onto my background, I sealed them in place with the frame. The sentiment is from the You Octopi My Thoughts set. I stamped it in Black Hybrid Ink and diecut it with the coordinating dies. After attaching my colored images to the acetate, I popped up the sentiment with thin 3D foam squares. The Sound of the Sea Helps Tides Rise

by Brenda Noelke on Apr 15 2024
Happy Monday, Picket Fence friends!! Brenda here with a shaker card created with goodies from the Ocean Odyssey Release that just dropped yesterday!! Such a fantastic release!! My card today features the Seahorses of the Sea Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies, the Beachcomber Fabulous Glossy A2 Card Fronts!! I started much like I do most cards, by stamping the seahorse from the Seahorses of the Sea Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored him with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen and used the Coordinating Die to cut him out.   Next, I created my shaker by die-cutting a panel of cardstock from the Beachcombing Fabulous Glossy A2 Card Fronts with the smallest rectangle die in the A2 Rectangle Layering Die Set and cutting an oval with a die in the Basic Die Cutting Set 1 Die Set. Can we just take a moment to appreciate how stunning this cardstock is?!? So beautiful!! I adhered the oval in the center of a panel of burnt orange cardstock that was cut out with the largest die in the A2 Rectangle Layering Die Set. Acetate and foam tape were adhered to the front panel, Tropical Breeze Sequins were added for the shakers and the layers were adhered together.  The sentiment is also from the Seahorses of the Sea Stamp Set. Not only does the sound of the sea help the tides rise...it totally relaxes me!! The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with burnt orange ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. The seahorse and sentiment were adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue and this card was complete. I LOVE these colors and who doesn't love a shaker card?!? Be sure to check out the fabulous Ocean Odyssey Release in the shop!! Thank you so much for spending part of your Monday with me!! Have a great week!! Brenda
