Big Hugs with Picket Fence Studios and Gel Press

Hello! Today I am featuring cards made with Picket Fence Studios and Gel Press Products!First, a Big Hug to you for stopping by! To create this I used one of the small Gel Presses from the Faith Impressions set. This is such a cool set with 4 small shapes and 2 long border shapes. I ordered this set with the purpose of beginning to Bible journal but I have misplaced the journaling Bible! I moved the Bible to a safe place and yep, it's so safe, I can't find it! However, the Faith Impressions Set is so versatile it can be used to create any type of project, including cards! I added Big Hugs for the sentiment and sprinkled  Day and Night gems with the fancy Gem Pick-Up Tool. You will feel like an elegant crafter with this Gem Pick-up Tool! Next, I created a celebration card using the 7" Impressables Repeat Circles Gel Press.  This is a fun press because the circles are built into the press!  I placed the press on my MISTI (now carried in the PFS store!) and used it as a stamp.  Don't be surprised to see the Impressables Repeat Circles pop up again because I couldn't stop experimenting with it!  I added the fun Happy Birthday and sprinkled Spring Fling Sequins for a fun celebration feel!    Lastly, I returned to the Faith Impressions set and selected the heart shape press and the Flowers  stencil. I trimmed around the heart and edged it with black marker.  The background was created by stamping the heart randomly with paints and reinkers. I wasn't delighted with the result, so I added white paint to the heart with cheesecloth and continued to stamp. For the sentiment, I used the Seeing Double Alpha Die.  This set is terrific because it includes the Alphabet and numbers at one great price point!  To finish off the card I sprinkled Purple Side of a Rainbow Gems using the ever so elegant Gem Pick-Up Tool. Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a look at the fun that can be made with Picket Fence Studios and Gel Press!  I hope your weekend is awesome! NEW Slim Lines with Larisa

by Larisa Hohman on Jan 27 2021
Hello!  Larisa here!  Today, I'm sharing a couple of slim line cards using some of the new goodies from the January Release!  Slim line cards are all the rage right now and Picket Fence Studios has you covered!  So many stencils, dies, and even envelopes!  It's your on-stop-shop for all your slim line needs!!!   For my first card, I used the NEW Slim Line Ocean Waves Cover plate.  However, instead of creating waves with it, I die cut it from glitter white card stock and made snow!  I love that it's so versatile!  I layered my glitter panel on top of some white card stock cut with the Slim Line Die Cutting System and added some die cut snowflakes throughout the scene.  For my gnomes, I stamped them out, trimmed them apart, colored them with my Copics, and tucked them into the hills of my snow banks.  Then I added some of the NEW Spring Fling Sequins and Purple Side of a Rainbow Gems to give it some sparkle.  I stamped my sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments Stamp Set and die cut it out with the coordinating dies (this is one of my favorite sets, by the way!  Love it!).  Then I popped it on top of my card with some foam tape for added dimension.   For my next card, I created a vertical slim line card.  To begin, I die cut a piece of white card stock using the Slim Line Die Cutting System.  I die cut a smaller rectangle from white card stock as well and used the NEW The Sleeping Tree Stamp Set to stamp my tree in the center.  Then I used some distress inks and the NEW 52 Layers of Clouds Stencil to create my background, careful not to cover the center of my tree image.  I colored that in with Copics.  Then I die cut some Tall Grass and adhered that to the bottom of the image.  I added some of the NEW Fire Gem Mix to my image, matching the colors with the distress inks in the clouds.  Then I stamped my sentiment from the Fancy Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set.  I used the coordinating dies to cut it out and added it to the bottom of my scene.     Products Used: Fancy Christmas Sentiments Die Set Fancy Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set Gem Mixes- Fire Gem Mixes- Purple Side of a Rainbow Spring Fling Sequin Mix Gem Pick Up Tool 52 Layers of Clouds Stencil Slimline Tall Grass Die Slim Line Ocean Waves Cover Plate Die The Sleeping Tree Stamp Winter Snowflakes Baby, It's Cold Outside More Fancy Sentiments Clear Stamp More Fancy Sentiments Die Slimline Rainbow Envelopes Black Hybrid Ink Life Changing Blender Brushes Slim Line Die Cutting System Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Rose

Hello Everybody!  It's Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a card using one of my favorite floral stamps that we have in our shop, A Rose.  I have always loved this image since it was released but now I love it even more because now it has a coordinating die.  Ti create this card I started with a top folding card base, The A Rose stamp set, and some Peacock Feathers Distress ink.  I created a background for the rose by using the Geo Squares stencil along with the Life Changing Blender Brushes.  I colored the rose with Graph-It markers then cut it out with the coordinating die and added it to the card front. I used a sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments set which now has coordinating dies also.    Below you will find links to the products used. Click the picture to start shopping. Compensated Affiliate links are used at no additional cost to you. Your support helps me to keep bringing you new projects and I appreciate that so much!   Thank you!

I'm obsessed, y'all

by Michelle Lupton on Jan 08 2021
I have a bright and happy card to share today, using alcohol inks, pink foil and an awesome word die from Picket Fence Studios. I made a panel of yupo with pink alcohol ink and pink foil, and cut it with the Slimline diecutting system. I cut the y'all die from pink, black and white cardstock, and layered them offset to create a drop shadow.  I then stamped and white embossed the rest of the sentiment onto another piece of pink cardstock and layered it over the top. Relatively simple, but the large word die packs a punch! Thanks for visiting :)

Happy Winter with Karen Reategui

by Karen Reategui on Dec 31 2020
Hello crafty friends! Today I'm over Picket Fence Studios Blog sharing these two cards and I decided to created an abstract background for my cards, applying different inks pads directly to paper to transfer the ink. This was really fun and super easy. Also, I'm using Snowflake Alice Die, that I heat embossed using WOW! Manuela's Honey Embossing Powder, WOW! Midas Touch Embossing Glitter, WOW! Vintage Champagne Embossing Glitter and WOW! Peppermint Scrub Embossing Glitter. The stamps for my sentiments are from Baby It's Cold Outside and A Gnome Winter Stamp Sets. Let's start! I pulled out some inks pads with different blue shades, greens and yellow. I used Catherine Pooler inks and the colors I chose were: Juniper Mist, Daydream, Eucalyptus, Green Tea and Sauna. I swipe my ink pads in different directions covering my whole panel and honestly the sky's the limit with this awesome ink background technique. Immediately, I added some water splatters and I loved this background even more. I let it dry aside. When it dried, I trimmed it down to an A2 panel. For my next background I followed the same steps and this time the inks I used were Juniper Mist, Daydream, Aquatini and a little bit of Mint to Be. All these inks are from Catherine Pooler Designs. I also added water splatters to this second background and let it dry. Once it was dry I trimmed it down to an A2 panel. Next, I die cut the Snowflake Alice Die twice out of white cardstock and I applied WOW! Embossing Pad to one of them using the WOW! Mixed Media Embossing Brush. With this brush I was able to apply the embossing in part where I wanted an specific color. So first I started by using the WOW! Manuela's Honey Embossing Powder, I heat embossed it and then I went to the next color but first I applied the embossing with the brush on those empty areas. The second embossing powder color was WOW! Midas Touch Embossing Glitter, but it was too shiny so I decided to apply more embossing on top of the areas with the Midas Touch and I simply loved the new shade of color. I think these colors turned out to be perfect for contrasting the background. I glued the second white snowflake, a bit aside, and at the back of the snowflake I just heat embossed. So now to create the first card I used my second background and I added the snowflakes on top with more glue and trimmed down the part that was outside the panel. Next, I adhered a white folded notecard at the back. Finally, I placed the sentiment from A Gnome Winter Stamp Set on top of the snowflake. I stamped this sentiment using Black Hybrid Ink by Picket Fence Studios. Lastly, I added some white sequins from Picket Fence Studios as well. For this second card I used the first background that I created at the beginning. But in this case I heat embossed WOW! Vintage Champagne Embossing Glitter and WOW! Peppermint Scrub Embossing Glitter on top of the snowflake. I think those red touches from the Peppermint Scrub were great to create more contrast making the snowflake to pop up nicely from the background. Here you can see a closer look of the snowflake and the different shades around it. The sentiment for this card is from Baby It's Cold Outside Stamp Set from Picket Fence Studios and was also stamped using Black Hybrid Ink. The sequins is Gin & Tonic Sequin Mix from Picket Fence Studios. I hope you liked these cards and try this awesome ink background technique to create really nice abstract backgrounds. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a marvelous New Year's Eve and the best wishes for this coming 2021! Your friend, Karen

Bright and Colorful Scene Cards with Larisa

Hello!  Larisa here and today, I have two very bright and very colorful scene cards to share with you!  For my first card, I paired A Walk in the Park with Bugville.  I stamped out my park scene and masked it off.  Then I stamped Bugville in the background.  I colored up the scene with copics and trimmed it to fit my A2 size card.  Then I stenciled in my sun with distress inks.  A very vibrant way to say, "hello!" For my second card, I used the Slimline Die cutting system and cut 2 birch tree panel from the center.  Then I stenciled in some clouds and stamped my grass on a separate piece of paper.  I trimmed that to fit behind my card panel and adhered the two pieces together.  Then I mounted that on a piece of teal card stock.  I stamped out my flower and leaf images on Copic-friendly card stock and colored them up.  Then I die cut them out using the coordinating dies and popped them on top of my card front.  The "happy birthday" sentiment across the top finishes it off.   Products Used: A Walk in the Park Clear Stamp A Walk in the Park Coordinating Die Corner Sun Stencil  Slimline Cloud Coverage Stencil Black Hybrid Ink Life Changing Blender Brushes Slim Line Die Cutting System Bugville Clear Stamp Set A2 Tall Grass and Waves with Tiles and Wood Floors Leaves for Flowers Clear Stamp Set Leaves for Flowers Coordinating Dies Beautiful Girl Flowers Beautiful Girl Flowers Coordinating Die Gin and Tonic Sequin Mix Do Good Recklessly Clear Stamp Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Slimline baby card

by Michelle Lupton on Nov 27 2020
I have a baby card to share today using products from the November release at Picket Fence Studios. I started by creating a background with the slimline flowers stencil and my Life Changing Blender Brushes and Distress Oxide inks. I coloured the cute little baby image with a mixture of copic markers and Derwent pencils to give the pale, no-line colouring look. I cut the squares out of a panel of white cardstock to fit over the slimline card base (I made them wonky, mainly because I need practice lining them up nice and straight!) and finished with a little sentiment that I tucked into the bottom edge of one of the square windows. Thanks for visiting :)

Hello and Happy Friday Stampers! Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho here with a card using almost all of the new snowflakes.  That's what happens when you can't decide, you use them all!  They are so beautiful it really wasn't hard.  I started with the big snowflakes by cutting them in vellum.  Then to hide some of the adhesive I used, I placed a few of the smaller snowflakes on top.  I cut them in vellum, white cardstock and silver mirror paper. The tiny snowflake is stamped in black in and is from the Ho Ho Ho stamp set. Here are the products used on this card. Snowflake Lydia Leave it in the comments below if you know who this snowflake was named after! Hello crafty friends! Today I’m over Picket Fence Studios blog sharing these two Christmas cards. I’m featuring Baker’s Twine and HO HO HO Stamp set. Also Gin & Tonic and Moonshine Sequin Mixes. Let’s begin! For the first card I started by applying distress oxide inks with the Life Changing Blender Brushes to a panel. I used Aged Mahogany, Festive Berries and Abandoned Coral. Once my panel was dry, I trimmed down the edges and adhered a white folded note card at the back. Then, I stamped this large sentiment from Ho Ho Ho Stamp and I heat embossed it with WOW! Red Glitz Embossing Glitter. I repeated this step three times to get a bit more of dimension on my sentiment. Finally, I stamped the images from the Baker’s Twine Stamp and heat embossed them with WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. With a red gel pen I filled in the empty spaces of the twine and lastly, I added a few sequins from Gin & Tonic Sequin Mix. For the second card I also applied distress oxide inks with the Life Changing Blender Brushes to another panel. I used Black Soot, Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio. When my panel was dry, I trimmed down the edges and adhered a white folded note card at the back using glue. Next, I stamped the sentiment from Ho Ho Ho Stamp and I heat embossed it with WOW! Red Glitz Embossing Glitter. I repeated this step three times to get a bit more of dimension on my sentiment. Last, I stamped the images from the Baker’s Twine Stamp and heat embossed them with WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. I filled in the empty spaces of the twine with a red gel pen and finally, I added a few sequins from Gin & Tonic Sequin Mix and this card was finished. Thank you so much crafty friends for stopping by and I hope you like these cards and get some inspiration. Please have a wonderful rest of the week. Blessings, Karen

Happy Friday Stampers! Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho here with a spooky good card and candy holder for October.   This Frankenstein is big and bold with fun sentiments!  Not gonna lie, he sort of gave me nightmares as he would surprise me on my desk a time or two while I was working on him!     I made the background with Distress Oxide ink and Life Changing Blender Brushes.  I die-cut four squares to make a window and added a window sheet behind it.  The window is popped up on foam tape and Frank is behind it.  I simply stamped him on green cardstock and embossed in black.  No coloring, no shading, no nothing! For this guy, I stamped on Copic friendly cardstock and colored with Copic Markers.  The finished box size is 1-3/4" x 4".  Cut your cardstock to 7-1/4" x5-3/4".  Score the length at 1-3/4", 3-1/2", 5-1/4" and 7".  Score for the bottom at 1-3/4". So Franken Cute Life Changing Blender Brushes Thanks for popping in today!  For more creative ideas, please follow me on Instagram.   Becky

Today, I'm sharing a card using the Slimline leaf stencil on a standard sized card  I placed the stencil on my card front so that the pointy end was in the centre, and added some Distress Oxide ink with my Life Changing Blender Brushes. I repeated this with a rainbow of inks. The stencil is shaped so that you can place it six times in a circle and you will get a hexagonal share in the centre - so satisfying! I finished with a sentiment from the Dragon Fruit stamp set, and some Gin and Tonic Sequins. Thanks for visiting :)

Hello, hello!  Larisa here and today, I'm sharing two more cards featuring a couple of the new seamless stamps from the September Release.  Be sure to hop over to the shop and check out all the new goodies!   For my first card, I used the NEW All Wired Seamless Stamp!  How fun is this!  I only stamped it one time for my project, but the really cool thing about these seamless stamps is that the match up perfectly and you can stamp them multiple times to create a background in whatever size you want!  For my card, I stamped it once, trimmed it into a square and mounted it on a piece of black card stock.  I colored it up with my Copic Markers and added a few highlights with my white gel pen.  I thought this background would coordinate well with BFF Claire.  So I colored her up, cut her out with the coordinating dies, and popped her on top of my card using foam tape.  Then I added a "happy birthday" sentiment from the Kylee Boo Stamp Set.  I just love how this turned out!  Such a fun way to say, "happy birthday."  All Wired Seamless Stamp BFF Claire Bundle- Stamp and Die Kylee Boo Stamp Black Hybrid Ink Pad For my next card, I used the NEW Sweater Pattern Maker Stamp.  This is another seamless stamp that matches up perfectly when you stamp it multiple times.  For my card, I stamped it twice.  You can't even tell.  It really is seamless!  I decided to pair it with the Jill Girl Stamp.  I stamped her out first, masked her off and then stamped my background on top.  I kept things classic and stamped the pattern in black on white card stock.  Then I trimmed it into a rectangle and mounted it to the front of my card base.  I removed the mask and colored the image up with Copics.  For the sentiment, I used the NEW Fancy Christmas Sentiments Set.  I stamped my sentiment on a chunky piece of black card stock and heat embossed it in white.  Then I added it to the bottom of my card, and there you have it, one warm and cozy holiday card.  Sweater Pattern Maker Stamp Jill Girl Stamp Fancy Christmas Sentiments Stamp Black Hybrid Ink Pad Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!!!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember is here!!

Hi stampers!  Today's post is extra exciting as today is the day the Picket Fence Studio's STAMPtember collaboration set will be revealed! It's full of sassy and fun sentiments, as well as a thirst quenching lineup of cocktails image to colour in!  Due to Covid and slower post, I did not actually get my set at the time of writing this so I have used a digital download. I do apologise if they sizes are a little off, I'm quite severely technologically challenged and my printer is a piece of crap, but I have done my best.  The fun thing about printing the stamps off, instead of stamping them traditionally, is that I was able to foil some of them. For instance, this card is very CAS but with the foil, it really sparkles!  All it needed were a few sequins from The Pink Lady Sequin Mix, and ta-da, done!   I used an ombré pink and gold foil on this one, and on another one I used Hot Pink. For this card I coloured the images in with Copics before foiling the outlines, as I wasn't sure if the markers might scratch off the foil.  This one I trimmed down with a stitched rectangular diecut, and added it to a card base with a gold leopard patterned paper. To bring in the colour of the patterned paper, I used sequins from the Irish coffee Sequin Mix. As I printed off the entire set each time, I had a lot of sentiments. A few of these I foiled in Turquoise foil, and I ended up using one of these on my third card. These cocktails are not foiled, just coloured in, and then that was trimmed down. This strip I wrapped around an already made background.  The background is ink blended with Distress Oxide inks and Life Changing Blender Brushes. On top of this I used the Flourish Circle Stencil with Glimmer Paste to make it extra fun. Foil is really hard to photograph well, but I have tried showing off both that and the Glimmer Paste. I do wish I could show you this in real life though! It's so sparkly! The next card is also done with the Flourish Circle Stencil, only this time with rainbow foil on black card stock. The effect is fantastic! This one I finished off with just a sentiment strip.  My final card is also a pre-made background, where I ink blended some Distress Oxide colours on a panel and then made gold water colour by mixing some Golden Rose Paper Glaze with water. With this, I then drew fat lines of gold across it to add some fabulous shimmer.  The sentiment 'Wine is to women as duct tape is to men. It fixes everything' cracks me up. I'm not a wine drinker but I have many, many friends who swear it is the only thing keeping them sane in these weird times we live in now.  Well, with that, I am all done for today! Thank you so much for stopping by, I really hope you found some inspiration here with me. If you want this set, make sure to hop on over to Simon Says Stamp and nab it right away, as once it's sold out, it will not be restocked.  Link below to the Simon Says Stamp EXCLUSIVE Picket Fence Studios STAMPTember set Happy Waters https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Picket-Fence-Studios-Stamptember-2020-Exclusive-sss302210c-sss302210c/2393 Happy Waters Stamp and Die Bundle https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Picket-Fence-Studios-Stamptember-2020-Exclusive-sssd112253c-sssd112253c/2393 Lots of love and happy STAMPtember, everyone!!  Crafty hugs from Erica

New Release Projects with Larisa

by Larisa Hohman on Sep 02 2020
Hello!  Larisa here and today I'm sharing a few projects using some of the new goodies released a couple weeks ago.  Let's get started!   For my first card, I used the NEW A World With Octobers stamp set.  As someone who absolutely loves fall, I have to say, this stamp set is a MUST.  I just love both of the sentiments on the set and that it can be used for Halloween or just fun fall card.  To create my card, I stamped my images out on Copic-friendly card stock and colored them with Copics using the no-line coloring technique.  Then I die cut the panel into a stitched square and layered that on top of some kraft card stock.  I added a few patterned paper page flags underneath my panel and adhered the whole thing to some green plaid paper.  Such a fun and simple card.  Love it!   Card Details: A World With Octobers Clear Stamp Set Copic Colors: Orange: YR04, YR16, YR18 Brown: E43, E47, E49 Green: YG21, YG25, YG67 Yellow: Y21, Y26 Red: R35, R56, R59 For my next card, I used the oh-so-sweet Your Friend Dear Stamp Set and paired it with the NEW Evergreen Stencil.  I have to tell you, I had so much fun creating this card!  To begin, I stamped out my image on Copic-friendly card stock and colored it up using Copic Markers.  Then I created a mask, layered that over the top, and used distress inks to add my trees to the background.  Then I removed my mask and colored in the ground using Copics.  I also added some definition to the trees with my YG67 Copic Marker.  I die cut the whole thing into a stitched square and layered that on top of a kraft card base.  Then I added a sweet sentiment from the New Songbirds Set.   Card Details: Your Friend Dear Clear Stamp Set Evergreen Stencil Songbirds Clear Stamp Set Copic Colors:  Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04, R20 Hair: Y21, Y26, E87 Red: R24, R56, R59 Blue: B21, B24, B26 Orange: YR04, YR16, YR18 Tan: E50, E53, E55, E57 For my final project, I used the NEW Songbirds Clear Stamp Set to create some fun little tag pockets.  I had the little kraft pockets in my stash and decided these little birds would be the perfect way to embellish them.  First, I die cut some white tags from a die in my stash and added some ribbon and clothes pins to the top.  Then I trimmed a piece of patterned paper to fit the front of the pocket and adhered that together.  I colored up my birds using Copic Markers in fun, bright colors and die cut them out in a circle.  Then I used foam tape to mount them on top of some scalloped circles and placed those on top of my pockets.  A few glitter embellishments, some washi tape, and some stamped sentiments finish these little pockets off.   Card Details: Songbirds Clear Stamp Set Copic Colors: Blue: BG10, BG11, BG13 Pink: R00, R11, R20, R22 Yellow: Y21, Y26 Green: YG21, YG25, YG67 Additional Products Used: Black Hybrid Ink Pad Life Changing Blender Brush Set Thanks so much for stopping by! Being Your Friend is Such a Treat!

by Angela Bode on Aug 21 2020
Happy Friday everyone!  I added glam and drama to today's cards with amazing Picket Fence Studios Sequins! First, I watercolored the adorable Your Friend Dear stamp set. The sky needed a little something extra so, I added clouds over the top of the watercolor with the Layers of Clouds Stencil and Life Changing Blender Brushes (Also sold in a Bundled set).  The sentiment is from the super cute Spooky Day Set. For the final touch, I added Frozen Nutcracker Sequins!  This sequin mix is so fun with pink, turquoise, and shiny holographic sequins!  What an easy way to add sparkle and glam to any project! You can add the entire Picket Fence Studios Sequin Mix to your collection at a bundled price! In case you didn't get a chance to see this fun card up close I thought I would share it here!  It features several elements as the first card but with very different results!  I used the Layers of Clouds Stencil behind my pinkalicious Spooky Day house. The sentiment is from If You Got It Haunt It and the bats are from Witch Please.  You know I had to add sequins so chose Creme de Menthe Sequins. Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to add sparkle to your weekend projects with sequins!!

Leaf Mandala Madness with Erica

by Erica Andersson-Burke on Aug 18 2020

Hi guys! It's Erica back on the PFS Blog today, with three cards all using the Leaf Mandala stamp from the August release.  The first two cards are done with Rose Gold embossing powder, one clean and simple and the other rich and sparkly.  On the clean and simple one I coloured in the leaves with Zig Clean Color markers, in autumnal colours to complement the colour of the embossing powder.  This one was finished off with a stamp set from Levels Of Friendships in three different Distress Oxide inks to create a gradient look. It's Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Abandoned Coral.  One last finishing touch were a few sequins from the brand new sequin mix Bourbon Maple Splash.  The second card was done with the same Distress Oxide inks, only ink blended this time. Using the Life Changing Blender Brushes I added the colours out to all the edges.  In order to bring some attention to the leaves, I brought in my Zig Clean Color markers again and used these to add more depth and colour. A final sentiment from Live Happy was stamped over the wreath. I also added some shimmer to it. I did this by splattering some Golden Rose Paper Glaze mixed with water to create a gold water colour.  The final card is coloured with Copics, and I have also added the pumpkin from A World Of Octobers on it. The background is made up with the Leaf Mandala stamped up about two thirds on the top and the bottom of a card base, then coloured in. I did mean to make them perfectly mirrored but that did not happen. Oh well.  The pumpkin was also coloured up with Copics, after being stamped up with Black Hybrid ink on a scrap piece of Neenah card stock.  I also added one of the sentiments from A World Of Octobers on it, and then trimmed it down. This strip I adhered straight to the card and as a last flourish, I added some sequins from the Bourbon Maple Splash sequin mix to balance out the wonkiness of the Leaf Mandalas.  That's it from me for today, I hope you enjoyed these cards and found some inspiration here!  Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

August Release with Michelle

by Michelle Lupton on Aug 14 2020

Hello! It's Michelle here today, and it's release day for Picket Fence Studios! I have an eclectic bunch of cards for you today, using a variety of stamps and stencils from the August release. This first card is a simple, one layer card - I used an older circle stencil to create a spotlight in the centre of the card to highlight the beautiful songbird and the sentiment. My next card is one I will share with a friend who is a breast cancer survivor. I white embossed the Hope Ribbons stamp multiple times onto some pick cardstock (lining up the image so that is a continuous image on the card) and white embossed the image. I cut the panel and added it to a white card base, then added a layered "love ya" sentiment. I finished with a scattering of sequins. This next card is a little outside my comfort zone! I started with a piece of black cardstock and added the Evergreens stencil to add paper glazes using a foam ink blending tool. (There was some glitter stuck on my pink foam in blending tool, which added a little certain something to my card!) I added green, blue and pink to mimic the Aurora Australis (or Borealis, depending on where you live!). I finished with a white embossed sentiment. There is a video of how I made this card on the Picket Fence Studios YouTube channel! All of the products in the new release are linked below - it's a great release with such a great variety of images! I know you're going to love it! Thanks for visiting :)
