Before we jump into today’s project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don’t worry, these links won’t cost you a dime – they’re just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let’s dive into today’s creative journey together!

Hello, friends! Justin Adkins here, and, today, I am sharing a fun way to create a sweet Mother's Day Card using the new Dad/Mom The Best Word Die Set! I am having more fun with the new Paper Glaze Glass as well, and it helps me build a super fun textured look for my background!

Let's get into the details for how I put this card together!
I started with my background. On an A2-piece of light pink cardstock, I used my Paper Pouncers to ink pounce from the bottom of the long edge up with Coral Cabana Ink by Catherine Pooler. Once I had a nice ombré effect, I placed the Ocean Waves stencil over the panel and pounced over the stencil with Party Dress Ink by Catherine Pooler. I then splattered the panel with Liquid Gold Paper Splatter Watercolor and set the panel aside to dry.
Once my panel was dry, I placed my Ocean Waves stencil over it once again, slightly offset from my previous blending. The stencil was already tacky with Pixie Spray from a previous application. I applied a solid layer of Paper Glaze Glass- Sea Glass Coral over the stencil removed the stencil, set the panel aside to dry, and immediately washed my stencil.
When my Sea Glass Coral Paper Glaze was fully dry, I trimmed my panel down to 4.125" x 5.375" and adhered it to a white card base.
The next step was to work on my sentiment. Using the Dad/Mom The Best Word Die Set, I die cut "the", "best", and "MOM" dies from white cardstock.
I took out my 5" x 6" Paper Inking Palette, placed my "MOM" die cuts on the palette, and used my Paper Pouncers to blend the dies with Cotton Candy & Coral Cabana Inks by Catherine Pooler. I then adhered my "MOM" die cuts on top of my panel, and then carefully adhered my "the" and "best" die cuts on top of the "MOM" die cuts, to give a fun layering effect.
I highly recommend using a fine tip glue applicator. I use the Misti Precision Glue Press for all of my liquid adhesive applications and it really comes in handy when working with small dies like this!
I finished off my card by adhering a few sequins from the Tropical Breeze Sequin Mix, and my card was complete!
