Clean and Simple five-minute cards

Happy Friday! Eugy here, today I’m sharing some Clean and Simple card ideas using the Fancy Life Events Sentiments stamp set (it has coordinating dies!) and other gorgeous products from the July release. All of my cards were super easy to make! But first, just a little reminder that we have a Flash Sale on site (exclude the July release). I made my first card using heart stamp from Ink Swatching stamp set. I was so excited to try this new stamp and I found it’s super fun and easy to use - I already created swatches for all my “inks for stamping”! After I stamped my background, I added a sentiment and some glitter cardstock. Voila, my card is ready! To get beautifully blended two-tone gradient impressions, I used Life Changing Blender Brushes to blend ink before stamping. And the best thing about Fancy Life Events Sentiments stamp set is that it has coordinating dies! For my second card, I prepared the card base by coloring it using ink pad technique. After that, I simply diecutted a white card panel with new gorgeous Opulent Negative Strip Die and mounted it on my pre-colored card base using 3d foam squares. The sentiment stamped in black ink seemed too bright to me, and I muted it with some pearl embossing powder. For my last card, I wanted something not usual, maybe some dry embossing effect. So I embossed white A2 panel with new Opulent Negative Strip Die (I use a standard sandwich for Cuttlebug), added colorful sentiment and some crystals for an extra sparkle. As you can see, all those cards can be done in five minutes! Go check out the entire July release or Flash Sale! Happy crafting and have a great weekend! Eugy

Hello!   I had a wonderful trip to Korea last few weeks. I almost forgot to share this colorful Hummingbird's Song slimline card to you.   I stamped the hummingbirds images with 6 different colors. ( Stamp set- A Hummingbird's Song- New release of June)   I inked a red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple color on the hummingbird stamp, after blending the color and color boundaries, stamp on the white card stock and die cut the image.  (I used Inkon3 mini cube inks)   Place the birds of each color underneath, place the birds blended in different colors on top of them, and paste them on the cards.   I decorated with sequins around the birds.   Thank you for stopping by! and Happy Stamping!        Supplies

Hello There-Current of Fish

by Heejung Hunsberger on May 13 2022
Hello Friends, Today I have a card to share with you using the Current of Fish Stencil and Gold Rose Glaze. I colored three different blue colors of water coloring on the watercolor paper first, and dry it completely. This current of fish stencil is 6 x 6 size, taped the stencil from behind of water-colored paper. Using a mixed media spatula, I applied a paper Glaze Gold Rose. I removed the stencil, cleaned it and the spatula and set the panel aside to dry.    I guess it might be not easy to color with water color for the beginner. but it is very easy to do stencil. I want to have some dimension to the word die-cut,I would have die cut the hello there die a third on white card stock and added it on top. I think having a bit of dimension really helps to make it stand out.   I hope enjoyed this project, Thank you for stopping by! I will be a card with new release next month! Happy Crafting!   Supplies

Mon Amie

Hello there, Lisa here with you today to share a clean and simple card which could be used for an anniversary, or maybe just as a love/friendship card. To create the card I began by die cutting the arch and circle frame from the A2 Lattice Arch Cover Plate Die set from white cardstock. I set them to one side whilst I worked on the images. The two adorable bunnies are from Chloe's Garden and they, along with the two birds, were stamped onto Neenah 80lb white cardstock using Black Hybrid Ink. I coloured them with Copics and then die cut them with the coordinating dies.   I added tiny dabs of glue onto the back of the lattice die cuts and adhered them to a top folding notecard. The bunnies and birds were popped up with foam tape for extra interest. I thought it might be nice to add a white satin bow over the circular frame, so that natrually took about 3 hours to tie!! Kidding, but it did take a while!. For a little bit of sparkle I added Iridescent Moonshine sequins all around the arch - they look so pretty in real life! The sentiment is from BFF Favorite Hello and this was stamped onto grey cardstock using Black Hybrid Ink. It was trimmed down and added to the panel with foam tape.

Hello shaker card with Michelle

While it is the last day of the year (and it's a year than many of us might want to forget), I prefer to look forward and say a bright, rainbow hello to the new year. I used the Hello die insert along with the slimline double stitched rectangle die to create a shaker card. I decorated the shaker with the Lots of Blossoms stencil, Distress oxide inks and lots of the new Crystalline Diamonds. Thanks for visiting :)

Hello! I am continuing my series of cards using the Zodiac Girl stamps. This month's release is Aquarius girl, and it you look closely at her hair, it seemed obvious to me what colour it had to be! The card base is acetate, so I cut 4 pieces of cardstock with the coordinating die - one (#1) to stamp and colour in to go on the front of the card, one (#2) to go inside the front of the card to hid the adhesive from the front of the card, one  (#3) for inside the card to write a message on, and one (#4) on the back of the card to hid the adhesive from the 3rd piece. Thanks for visiting :)

Seek To See More - Full Size Shaker Fun

by Lisa Tilson on Sep 29 2021
Hello there, it's Lisa here with you today to share a shaker card. I often make shakers but rarely a full size shaker so I thought I'd shaker it up a little! See what I did there? So here is what I came up with. It uses one of my favourite sets, Mermaid Dear, and I paired it with the A2 Tall Grass & Waves With Tile & Wood Floors stamp set for my background. To begin, I took some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolour cardstock and popped it into my MISTI. I repeat stamped the waves image from the A2 Tall Grass & Waves With Tile & Wood Floors set using Versmark Ink. I then applied white embossing powder and heat set. I smooshed some Distress Inks onto my glass media mat and spritzed them with some water and then took a paintbrush and applied them over the embossed waves area. I didn't go over the whole of the embossed area, but concentrated my colour in all areas but the top left corner. I used Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio - this is a great mix for water scenes, at least in my humble opinion. To build up the colour, I did a couple of layers, heat setting in between. I set the panel aside to air dry after the last layer had been added. This beautiful mermaid is from Mermaid Dear and she was stamped onto 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock using PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I coloured her with Copic makers (the numbers are below) and then cut her out with the coordinating die before adhering her onto my watercoloured panel with wet adhesive. I then took an acetate sheet that was an inch larger than a normal A2 card and I cut a section from each corner so that I could wrap it around my watercoloured panel. I used double side tape to secure it at the back but left the top edge open so that I could add my sequins before finally sealing them in. My shaker mix was a combination of Mermaid Water Sequin Mix along with Spring Fling Sequin Mix. I added some of each into the front of the shaker and then sealed the top edge of the acetate at the back, again with strong double sided tape. The sentiment comes from Mermaid Dear and it was stamped onto black cardstock using sticky ink. I then added white embossing powder and heat set before trimming it out and adhering it onto the outside of the shaker panel with wet adhesive. To finish I added the shaker panel to a top folding A2 card. The movement of the sequins and the noise it makes is just fabulous! Copic numbers: Mermaid Skin (E70, E53, E51, E50, R20), Mermaid Hair (E55, E53, E51, E50), Mermaid Clothes (V17, V04, BG13, BG11), Puffer Fish (BV13, BV02, BV01) (BG32, BG13, BG11)

Capricorn Girl with Michelle

by Michelle Lupton on Sep 17 2021
I'm continuing on with my series of Zodiac Girl Cards - this month, the new stamp and matching die is Capricorn Girl. I coloured her with Copic markers and popped her onto a grey and purple stenciled background. I decided she needed a little pizazz, so I added some of the new Silver Bells Paper Glitz to her horns, her eyelids and her earrings. I also mixed some with water and splattered it in the background.     Thanks for visiting :)

Coloring with Paper Glitz

by Karen Reategui on Sep 13 2021

Hello crafty friends! Today i'm sharing one of the cards that I made for the 7 in 7 event. On this slimline card I colored through a stencil using Paper Glitz and a dauber. The products that I used for this slimline card are Slim Line Oversized Joy to the World Die, Slim Line Cut Flower Stencil, Paper Glitz Autumn Persimmon,  Paper Glitz Lime Christmas Green, Paper Glitz True Christmas Red and Slim Line Die Cutting System.    I started by adding Pixie spray to the back of the Slim Line Cut Flower stencil, then I placed it on top of a heavy cardstock. I applied small quantities of Paper Glitz with dauber, coloring the center of the flower, the petals and the space around.  The colors I used were Paper Glitz Autumn Persimmon, Paper Glitz Lime Christmas Green, Paper Glitz True Christmas Red. Next, I let the panel dry for about 20 minutes. Paper Glitz is a medium that dries very fast which is very helpful. Once my panel was dry, I die cut it using a layering base die from the Slim Line Die Cutting System. I also added on top of this background a piece of velum. Then, I adhered a black folded card base. On a piece of cardstock I applied  Paper Glitz Autumn Persimmon using a spatula and let it dry. Once it was dry, I die cut the  Slim Line Oversized Joy to the World Die out of it. Additionally, I die cut another set of these dies out of white cardstock to be used as a shadow behind the die cuts with Paper Glitz Autumn Persimmon. Finally, I added the Joy to the World die cuts on top of the velum using tape runner and this Slimline Christmas card was ready. Below you will find a list of supplies that I used to created this card. I hope you like this card and give a try this very fun technique. Enjoy your week and happy crafting! Your friend,  Karen

Merry And Bright - A CAS Christmas Card For Mass Production

by Lisa Tilson on Jul 07 2021
Hello everyone, Lisa here today with a clean and simple Christmas card for you. We all know that it can be a struggle to make all those Christmas cards so here's one that is really easy to duplicate so you can avoid that mad rush in November! I started off by die cutting Snowflake Lydia and one of the snowflakes from Winter Snowflakes (such a pretty set!). I then cut some very very narrow red, green and white strips of cardstock. These strips of cardstock were adhered onto a side folding A2 base card. The section of strips was just over an inch wide (there were 9 tiny coloured strips). They would also look good horizontally I think. I then cut two pieces of white cardstock and popped them up with foam tape over the base card, so that the coloured strips are inset behind those two white panels. Super easy isn't it? I adhered Lydia Snowflake over the two panels and one of the smaller Winter Snowflakes on top of Lydia. I finished with a gem stone from Fire Gem Mix for a little bit of bling. The sentiment is from Inside Quotes: Christmas and this was stamped to the side using Black Hybrid Ink. So you can see how this would be really quick to mass produce. I hope that this gives you some inspiration for starting you cards early - it is Christmas in July after all!

Beautiful Girl Sandra Summer Shaker

by Larisa Hohman on Jun 23 2021
Hello! Larisa here and today I'm sharing a very bright and festive shaker card.  This beauty features Beautiful Girl Sandra!  I've paired her with the NEW City Lights Sequin mix as well as the Wave Sun Stencil.  This card just screams SUMMER to me!   To create my card, I started with a piece of yellow card stock.  I stenciled my sun pattern onto it using my Life Changing Blender Brushes and some Orange Distress Oxide Ink.  Then I trimmed it to fit an A2 sized card and mounted it onto a piece of hot pink card stock.  I used my sewing machine to stitch on some tulle and filled it with sequins before stitching it closed  Then I stamped out my image, colored her up with Copics, and cut her out using the coordinating dies.  Using some foam tape and hot glue, I added her to the center of my card panel.  Then I added a stitched paper ribbon just under her and layered my "just because" sentiment on top.  I just love how this turned out.  It's sure to brighten someone's day!   Products Used:   More Fancy Sentiments More Fancy Sentiments Coordinating Dies Beautiful Girls Sandra Sandra Girl Coordinating Die Wave Sun Stencil Sequin Mix City of Lights   Gem Pick Up Tool Black Hybrid Ink Life Changing Blender Brushes

Have you ever used one of the seamless stamps from Picket Fence Studios? They allow you to create a background panel covered in stamped images of any size, as you can stamp them top to bottom, left to right as many times as you like, and they line up seamlessly! Well, I decided to use this seamless stamp a bit differently today, to come up with a clean and simple card design. I coloured the images with Copic markers, fussy cut them out, and adhered them to a white card base. I used a sentiment from the Dragon Fruit set. Thanks for visiting :)

Then You Came Into My Life

by Lisa Tilson on May 26 2021
Hello there! Lisa here today to share a card with you using the new Dream With Me Cover Plate die. As soon as I saw this die, I knew I would want to use it as a silhouette. But don't let that limit you, you can die cut and watercolour it or ink blend over it, or colour it with markers, like you can with many dies. But I wanted a dreamy night time sky, behind the silhouette. To start, I took some Arches Cold Pressed cardstock and watercoloured the background using Gansai Tambi paints - numbers 63, 62, 60 and 20.  Number 20 is actually black and that ended up getting hidden just behind the die in the end. As always with watercolour I work in layers, letting each layer dry in between. I worked my colours down the card panel to just over half way. I wanted to keep the bottom area white and free to highlight the girl on the swing. Once dry, I adhered this to a top folding notecard. I took some black cardstock and ran it through the die cutting machine with the cover plate die and then I adhered gold cardstock behind, so that the stars and moon would stand out against the black. This was then glued down over the top of the watercolored panel. Before gluing it down, I went around the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker so that you couldn't see any gold peeking out anywhere. To finish I popped the card in the MISTI and stamped a sentiment from Que Sera Sera using Black Hybrid Ink. I thought that the sentiment was just perfect for the mood of the card and the vibe of someone travelling through the sky and arriving into someone's world. If I told you how long it takes me to find sentiments to go on my cards, you probably wouldn't believe it! I'm very fussy about having the right font, composition and meaning on a card. Rooting around all my sets is all part of the fun of cardmaking! Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you again soon. Happy crafting!

Happy Wednesday! It's Ceal here. Today I am sharing a card using the Tropical Hibiscus Bouquet stamp set.  To create this card I started with a white top folding card base, a black panel and a white heavystock panel for the image. I stamped the image with our black hybrid ink and then watercolored it using Karin markers. I love how these watercolor markers have so much pigment and are so bright.  For the greeting I used a sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments stamp set stamped in versamark ink on black and then embossed with white powder. I used the More Fancy Sentiments die to cut it out.  Supply List with affiliate links at no extra cost to you.

Create Your Own Peace

by Ceal Pritchett on Apr 27 2021
Hello Everyone! It's Ceal. Today I am sharing a zen card with you using two of the  new slimline inserts. To create this card I started with a white slimline card base and a panel of white heavystock cut down with the SLDCS Nested Rectangles.  I cut out the Tree Insert in the center of the panel and then cut out the Mushroom Insert on both sides.  I watercolored all three using Daniel Smith watercolors and added the panel to the base.  To finish the card I added a sentiment from the Early Tulips set.
