More leaves Card by Laura

Hello everyone!! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this fall card that I hope will inspire you! To start I used the "More Maple Leaves", "More Oak Leaves" and "More Ash Leaves" dies that i cut on gold and black cardboard. Next I prepared the background: for this I cut the outside of the leaf dies and used them as a stencil. Then I randomly placed them in the background and painted them with Distress Oxide inks in earth tones. Then I was pasting the leaves on top, but with a little offset to give it a different touch. For the sentiment i cut the "Good day to you word" die on gold cardboard and placed it in the center of the card. And this is how the result was! To start I used the "Princessland Dear" stamps that I stamped with the "Black Hybrid Ink Pad" and then painted with alcohol markers. Then I used the "Slimline Curvy Rainbow die" which I cut out of various colored card stock. Next I prepared the background: for this I used the "Slimline Die Cutting System Scallop Frames" that I cut in white cardboard and foam to make a shaker card. Inside I put the "Sequins Unicorn Sparkles" that I think combine perfectly with this card. Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and this is how the result was! Hello everyone!! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to be here again on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this birthday card that I hope will inspire you! To start I used the "Birthday Girl Dear" stamps that I stamped with the "Black Hybrid Ink Pad" and then painted with alcohol markers. Then I cut a red and a black cardstock with the "Happy Day Word Topper Die" and glued one on top of the other to make a shadow. Then I prepared the background: for this I used a white cardboard where I used the "Tile Montage 6x6 stencil" to which I applied green, yellow and red tones in combination with the stamps Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and added some "Gems Mixes Fire" and "Gems Mixes Oceans of Green" to give it a more glamorous touch. Colorful Hummingbird's Song Slimline Card

Hello! I had a wonderful trip to Korea last few weeks. I almost forgot to share this colorful Hummingbird's Song slimline card to you. I stamped the hummingbirds images with 6 different colors. ( Stamp set- A Hummingbird's Song- New release of June) I inked a red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple color on the hummingbird stamp, after blending the color and color boundaries, stamp on the white card stock and die cut the image. (I used Inkon3 mini cube inks) Place the birds of each color underneath, place the birds blended in different colors on top of them, and paste them on the cards. Hello everyone!! I'm Laura and I'm very excited to make my second post on the Picket Fence Studios blog showing this rainbow card that I hope will inspire you! To start I cut several pieces of the "Rainbow Slimline Die Cutting System Insert" out of white cardboard and then painted them with alcohol markers. I wanted to give prominence to the rainbow in the center so I painted it in stronger colors and the rest in pastel tones. Then I prepared the background: for this I used a light blue cardboard simulating a sky that I pasted on a white cardboard and a black one to make a frame! 😊 Next I cut out the sentiment using the "Happy Day Word Topper Die" in black and white colors to make it stand out... Finally I prepared the composition, glued all the pieces and added some "Gems Mixes Fire" and "Gems Mixes Oceans of Green" to give it a more glamorous touch. Hello There-Current of Fish

Hello Friends, Today I have a card to share with you using the Current of Fish Stencil and Gold Rose Glaze. I colored three different blue colors of water coloring on the watercolor paper first, and dry it completely. This current of fish stencil is 6 x 6 size, taped the stencil from behind of water-colored paper. Using a mixed media spatula, I applied a paper Glaze Gold Rose. I removed the stencil, cleaned it and the spatula and set the panel aside to dry. I guess it might be not easy to color with water color for the beginner. but it is very easy to do stencil. I want to have some dimension to the word die-cut,I would have die cut the hello there die a third on white card stock and added it on top. "Into The Woods" Slim Line Shaker Card with Rachelle

Hello! It's Rachelle here and I'm so excited to share this slim line shaker card I created by combining lots of different Picket Fence Studios' products! This design came together pretty quickly with the help of a couple key products. First - the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die" Set and secondly, the NEW "Slim Line Woods Cover Plate Die" Set! I started by die cutting the woods die scene from heavy-weight white card stock and selectively trimming a few trees/branches from the image. I chose to edit this because I wanted a bit more space for the shaker garnish to be seen and to highlight the deer die cut. Once trimmed, I watercolored just the leaves in a bright green and the die cut was glued onto a piece of charcoal gray card stock. This is almost a reverse silhouette design and all of the components really pop off of that charcoal background! I created a white frame by using the slim line rectangular insert from the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die" and a smaller rectangle from the "Slim Line Nested Rectangles Dies". This frame was cut twice and glued/stacked together and adhered on top of the woods panel. I die cut a piece of thin packaging acetate with the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die", adhered double-sided tape along three sides of the back of the woods panel and wrapped the acetate around to adhere it into place. I chose to use the NEW "Spring Green Shaker Garnish" as my fill (to match my green leaves) and carefully poured about a tablespoon into my shaker panel. Then all I had to do was to close up the remaining shaker flap on the backside with the double-sided tape and the panel was adhered to the front of a slim line card base. I die cut the sentiment from brushed silver card stock using the "Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles Die Cutting System" and the running buck ("More Deer Family Dies") from gray card stock. Both of these die cuts were carefully adhered to the shaker acetate with liquid adhesive to finish up the design! I just love how that Spring Green Shaker Garnish easily moves inside the card front and works both as leaves and grass in this scene! I highly encourage you to try some of the NEW Shaker Garnish colors - they are so light weight and really add a unique shaker element especially when combined with Picket Fence Studios' Sequins/Sequins Mix Plus options! A Wreath for all Seasons!

Hello! Larisa here and today I'm sharing two holiday cards featuring the NEW A Wreath for all Seasons Stamp! This beautiful stamp is the perfect addition to your cards and it's so versatile! For my first card, I started with a black piece of cardstock and trimmed it to fit an A2 sized card. Then I stamped out my image and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. On top of that I added a strip of black and white patterned paper from my stash. After stamping and coloring up Beautiful Girl Jill, I die cut her out using the coordinating die and added her to the left of my card with some foam tape. I also tucked a bit of iridescent twine behind her for added texture. A few sequins and a "Merry Christmas" sentiment finish this card off! For my next card, I chose some fun and whimsical colors to work with on this vertical design. I stamped my image out in teal ink on light blue card stock. Then I trimmed it to fit my card base. Then I die cut and paper pieced my little gnome adding some detail with Copic Markers. Across the bottom, I combined two different stamped sentiments in two different colors to add some interest to my card. A few sequins and a fuzzy pom pom on my gnomes had finish this fun little card. Capricorn Girl with Michelle

I'm continuing on with my series of Zodiac Girl Cards - this month, the new stamp and matching die is Capricorn Girl. I coloured her with Copic markers and popped her onto a grey and purple stenciled background. I decided she needed a little pizazz, so I added some of the new Silver Bells Paper Glitz to her horns, her eyelids and her earrings. I also mixed some with water and splattered it in the background. Release Day! The July 2021 Release is AVAILABLE NOW!

Hello! Larisa here and guess what...it's Release Day!!!!! This month is packed with so many must-have products; you do not want to miss it! Best of all, everything is AVAILABLE in The Shop NOW! Be sure to head over there to check it out! Today, I'm sharing several Halloween cards made with just a hand-full of all the new goodies! All Hallow's Eve is just around the corner and this release is sure to scare up some fun! For my first card, I created a quick and easy shaker using acetate and my sewing machine. I stamped out this ghost image from the Not Scared You Should Be Stamp set and fussy cut it out. Then I adhered it on top of some clear acetate. I sewed that to the top of some orange patterned paper in my stash and before closing it up completely I filled it with some of the new Midnight Tales Sequins Mix. Then I added my sentiment and that's it. Such a quick and easy way to create a shaker, but still makes a big impact! This next card features the new Spider Web Cover Plate Die. This die is so intricate and creates a total wow factor on your projects. To create my card, I started with a piece of black card stock. I die cut the spider web from white glitter paper and adhered it the black. Then I stamped out and colored up Lexi Girl. I used the coordinating die to cut her out and then I layered her on top of my web. Across the bottom of the card I added some strips of patterned paper and layered my sentiment on top. To finish the card off, I added a fun sentiment from the Not Scared You Should Be Clear Stamp Set. I just love how this turned out! My final card features the cutest little monsters. These not-so-scary guys are part of the new You Creep Me Out Clear Stamp Set. To create my card, I used the Scallop Frames Slim Line Die Cutting System. After cutting the layered out of patterned paper and card stock. I layered it all together, creating three shaker windows down the center of the card. I used the NEW Trick Or Treaters Sequin Mix Plus. It is a Must Have! Then I stamped out my images, colored them up with Copics, and cut them out using the coordinating dies. Using foam tape, I popped them onto my card and added a few of the bat die cut from the Slim Line Die Cutting System Witch Insert. Finally, I added my sentiment across the middle and there you have it. Whatever You Decide To Do In Life, Make Sure It Makes You Happy

Hello everyone, it's Lisa here today on our favourite day of the month - Release Day! And I have two things to share with you - a card using lots of gorgeousness from the new release, plus I have a release reveal video up on my channel which shares all the new items for this month with you, along with my sample cards. If you want to catch the video, then scroll to the end of this post. But first, for my card today, I wanted to use the new Slim Line Scallop Framed Dies set, along with the new Slim Line Details Of A Wing Stencil. For this card, I also used the Monarch Butterfly Insert. So, here is my card! I began by taking an 8.5" x 3.5" panel of white cardstock and laying the Slim Line Details Of A Wing Stencil on top. I secured the card panel from the back using low tack tape. I then took some Distress Inks and blended rainbow colours through it using Life Changing Blender Brushes. Once I'd removed the stencil, I took the smaller scalloped rectangle die from the new SLDS Scallop Framed Dies system and ran the panel through my die cutting machine. Next I took one of the circular frames from the Scallop Framed Die set and cut a window into my ink blended panel. And I kept the resulting thin circular frame as I needed that later on. The two butterflies were cut from the Monarch Butterfly Slim Line Die Cutting Insert. This insert die will actually cut a window/insert into a panel and leave the butterfly intact, but I wanted to separate it out, so I just trimmed it out twice. I could then stack them on top of each other for some dimension. I adhered the ink blended panel to an 8.5" x 3.5" base card and then I glued the tiny circular frame around the window - the one that I had saved from earlier. It finishes off the circular window nicely! The two stacked butterflies were then added in and I decorated them with a few gems from the new Reflections Gem Mix. To finish the card, I took a sentiment from Dance Mode On and stamped it onto white cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied gold embossing powder, heat set it and then popped it up with foam tape. All the items I have used are listed below. And for those of you that would like to see the release in full, here is the video. Two Eye-Catching Cards with Larisa

Hello! Larisa here and today, I'm sharing bold and bright cards that are sure to grab your attention. Both feature products from the new release and both have vivid pops of color that catch your attention! My first card features the NEW Mail's Here Stamp. To begin, I stamped out the Raining Envelopes Stamp a couple of times. This Building Backgrounds stamp is perfect because it lines up perfectly. You can stamp it and infinite number of times to create any sized background! I colored my background using a light teal Copic Marker (BG10). Then I added a strip of red polka dot paper to the bottom and trimmed it to fit my card base. I also layered the panel on some light grey card stock and trimmed to fit. For the hello sentiment, I die cut it in bright blue card stock and blue foam. I adhered the two layers together and added them to the card panel just above the polka dot paper. I love the dimension this technique adds! Then, I stamped out the Mail's Here image, colored it up to match, and cut it with the coordinating die. After adhering that to the panel, I also added "my dear friend" sentiment just below it from the More Fancy Sentiments Stamp set. For my next card, I decided to create a shaker card using the NEW Purple-Rita Sequin Mix. I started with a piece of purple card stock and added some tulle to the top of it. I stitched down the sides with my sewing machine and filled it with my sequins. Then I used the Netting Cover Plate to cut a piece of white card stock and I adhered that to my card panel only in the center of the card where I knew the glue would be covered. I stamped out the Lilies For Spring and Kylee Girl images, colored them up, and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I layered them on top of my card panel using foam tape and a bit of hot glue to make sure they were stuck down well. My sentiment from the Job Well Done Set finishes it off! Love Ya, Paper Glazes And Stencils!

Hi Picket Fence Fans! It’s Paper Glazes no1 fan, Erica, here with my first blog post for 2021! I’ve been using crafting as a means to cope with some heartbreak and grief. For me, that’s such a welcome way to ‘take a break’ from feeling awful and just lose myself in the process for a little while. It’s probably no secret that I love the Paper Glazes, and recently I have been trying out a new technique where I have been making shimmery card stock with them! It’s super fun and oh my gosh, the possibilities are practically endless! I have also been mixing some of the Paper Glazes to make new custom blends! It’s messy and fun. For this card, I mixed together Daffodil Yellow, Succulent Green, Ocean Poppy and a brand new colour coming on Thursday!! I didn’t mix them totally together, I wanted the colours to show through a little bit, almost like marbling if that makes sense? This mix I used directly onto a card base over the Geo Squares Stencil. When that was dry, I used the Love Ya diecut on black card stock and added that to the card. I kept it very simple to let the Paper Glaze shine. The second card is done with the same layout, only with different colours and different techniques. I started by ink blending some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink over the Geo Squares stencil. Again, direcly onto a white card base. Over this, I also added a light touch of Petunia Pink, Marigold Orange and Bee Sting Yellow Atelier Ink. The reason I used these colours was to match a piece of shimmer card stock I made with some left over Paper Glaze. This piece was created by scraping off the excess Paper Glaze I had used to create a bigger piece. Strangely, I love this bit more than the original piece!! Funny, huh? The colours used in this are Daffodil Yellow, Marigold Orange, Peony Pink, Boysenberry Violet and a touch of that new colour coming on Thursday! I used the Love Ya die again, only this time both of the pieces. The shadow part on the shimmer piece and the words were cut out of grey card stock. I also cut out another three shadow pieces out of white card stock and layered these up. This was then adhered to the ink blended card base and with that, this card was also done! Isn’t it amazing what you can use the Paper Glaze’s for? Even the smallest blob of it can be used for something, so next time you bring yours out, make sure to have spare paper around to scrape off any excess glaze and use for word die cuts or the A Tree die, like I have done here. Drink Up: Coffee with Larisa

Hello! Larisa here and I'm so excited to be starting the new year with one of my favorite images! This beauty is Beautiful Girl Jill. Isn't she fabulous??? To create my card, I stamped my image in light tan ink and colored it up with Copic Markers using the "no line" technique. Then, I die cut it out using the Coordinating Die Set. For the background, I used the Life Changing Blender Brushes and the Evergreens Stencil. Then, I layered my panel on top of some tan card stock and stitched around it. Using foam tape, I added my image to the left side of the card panel. Then I die cut the coffee word die from white and dark brown card stock, layered it up and added it to my card using foam tape as well. Then I tucked in some die cut snowflakes, sequins, and the rest of my sentiment, stamped from the Drink Your Greens Clear Stamp Set. I have to say, I absolutely love how this card turned out! Hello Lovely Slim Line with Larisa

Hello! Or should I say, "Hello, Lovely!" I hope you are having a fabulous week! Today, I am sharing a pretty slim line card featuring the NEW Slim Line Die Cutting System! As you've probably already heard, this Die Cutting System is so easy to use and offers endless possibilities! For my card, I paired it with some patterned paper and Beautiful Girl Karen! First, I die cut the smaller rectangle from some plaid patterned paper. Then I layered that on top of some white card stock die cut with the larger rectangle. This created the base panel for my card. Then I used the tree square from the set and die cut that from some white card stock. I trimmed around the edges to create a white border and then layered that onto some black card stock and trimmed again. Then I adhered it to the top of my card panel. I stamped, colored, and die cut my image and popped her in the center of the frame using foam tape. Then I die cut and layered up my "lovely" sentiment. I adhered that just below my image. The "hello" sentiment is from the Dragon Fruit stamp set. I heat embossed that in white and trimmed it into a rectangle. Then I added it just over the bottom of my "lovely" sentiment. A few Gin and Tonic Sequins finish this card off! I just love how it turned out and it was so easy to create! Clean And Simple Cards with Erica and A Tree

Hey guys! It's Erica on the Picket Fence Blog today, with a couple of CAS cards made with the A Tree diecut. Both of these are done in a quite simple manner: I cut the A Tree out of two different panels. One had a pattern done by pressing a piece of paper on top of the Slim Line Broken Fence stencil, after I had used Paper Glaze in Fern Green, Leaf Green, Jade Vine and Cornflower Blue. It created a fun and colourful pattern and the texture is amazing! This tree I adhered to a white card base, because I wanted to keep the focus on the Paper Glaze texture and colours. To finish it off I stamped a sentiment from Favorite Notification, in Black Hybrid Ink on white card stock. This I trimmed down and then glued to the card. I nearly added some sequins from Gin & Tonic, but decided to keep it super simple. The second card was done in a very similar manner, but the piece of card stock I used for the A Tree was sprayed with Nuvo Sparkle Spray in Morning Fog. It's dark and shimmery and just fantastic. I glued it to another card base to again, keep it very clean. I think this design would work really well for a sympathy card, and I would have loved to have one in the same font as the other Fancy stamp sets. Like Fancy Sentiments, More Fancy Sentiments and Fancy Christmas Sentiments. Because there isn't one, I decided to use another sentiment from Favorite Notification. This time I stamped it onto the card directly, right above the tree, in Black Hybrid Ink. So, there we have it! Super simple, but fun, and of course these could be personalised with colours of choice and occasion. Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Lovely Summer Card with Larisa

Hello! Larisa here and today I have a lovely summer card to share with you. As school is starting back and summer is winding down, I thought it would be fitting to create a card using this Beautiful Girl Kendyll Stamp and Lovely Word Die. To create my card, I started with some patterned papers in my stash. The background paper is a white ship-lap pattern. I trimmed that to fit the front of my card base. Then I die cut a stitched square from blue striped paper and mounted that on a piece of grey card stock. I adhered that towards the top of my card. Then I trimmed a piece of red polka dot paper and layered that underneath. Using the Lovely Die, I die cut the word from navy blue card stock and layered that on top of a white background layer, cut with the same die set. By the way, I absolutely LOVE this die. I will probably be using it on all sort of cards in the future. Just a head up. LOL. For my image, I stamped the girl out in tan ink on Copic-friendly paper. Then I used Copic Markers to color her in. For her eyes and eyebrows, I used a Copic Multi-liner. After, I was finished coloring, I used the coordinating die to cut her out and popped her on my card using foam tape. I layered the Lovely Word Die on top with foam tape as well. And there you have it. One Lovely Summer Card.
