by Michelle Lupton on Oct 16 2020
I have a one-layer card to share today that I will be saving to give to an apiartist friend of mine! I used the Honeycomb stencil to create the pattern in the background with Distress Oxide inks, and I used the I Bee Fierce stamp set for the bees. The sentiment is from Thankyou for being you.   Thanks for visiting :)

Quick Christmas Cards with Paper Glaze and Slim Line Stencil

by Erica Andersson-Burke on Sep 29 2020
Hi guys!  Erica back on the PFS blog today, with a Christmas card. It’s quite quick, and simple so this is another design that will work when you need to make a bunch quickly!  I started out by spraying my Dashes Slim Line Stencil with Pixie Spray, and once that was cured, I adhered it to a piece of card stock. First up was the gorgeous Jade Vine Paper Glaze, and I spread a generous layer of it on about 75% of the stencil. Then I added some Snowdrop White to fill in the gaps and also to mix in with the Jade Vine to create a softer look. Finally, I added some Golden Rose for extra shimmer!  I love how it turned out, and that extra white and gold really does add a little something special!  Currently I’m on a total snowman craze, so I stamped up the snowman from On A Christmas Walk with Black Hybrid ink, and set that with my heat tool. Then I coloured him with some Copics and when I was happy with the colouring, I used the coordinating diecut to cut him out.  The Merry Christmas in the Fancy Christmas Sentiments was heat embossed in gold on white card stock, trimmed down to a slim banner and adhered to the top of the card. The snowman followed and with that, the card was done!  I really hope you like the card and found some inspiration here with me today. There will be a YouTube video coming to the Picket Fence Studios channel soon, so hang in there if you want to actually see the Paper Glaze and stencil in action!  Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Seamless Stamps with Larisa

Hello, hello!  Larisa here and today, I'm sharing two more cards featuring a couple of the new seamless stamps from the September Release.  Be sure to hop over to the shop and check out all the new goodies!   For my first card, I used the NEW All Wired Seamless Stamp!  How fun is this!  I only stamped it one time for my project, but the really cool thing about these seamless stamps is that the match up perfectly and you can stamp them multiple times to create a background in whatever size you want!  For my card, I stamped it once, trimmed it into a square and mounted it on a piece of black card stock.  I colored it up with my Copic Markers and added a few highlights with my white gel pen.  I thought this background would coordinate well with BFF Claire.  So I colored her up, cut her out with the coordinating dies, and popped her on top of my card using foam tape.  Then I added a "happy birthday" sentiment from the Kylee Boo Stamp Set.  I just love how this turned out!  Such a fun way to say, "happy birthday."  All Wired Seamless Stamp BFF Claire Bundle- Stamp and Die Kylee Boo Stamp Black Hybrid Ink Pad For my next card, I used the NEW Sweater Pattern Maker Stamp.  This is another seamless stamp that matches up perfectly when you stamp it multiple times.  For my card, I stamped it twice.  You can't even tell.  It really is seamless!  I decided to pair it with the Jill Girl Stamp.  I stamped her out first, masked her off and then stamped my background on top.  I kept things classic and stamped the pattern in black on white card stock.  Then I trimmed it into a rectangle and mounted it to the front of my card base.  I removed the mask and colored the image up with Copics.  For the sentiment, I used the NEW Fancy Christmas Sentiments Set.  I stamped my sentiment on a chunky piece of black card stock and heat embossed it in white.  Then I added it to the bottom of my card, and there you have it, one warm and cozy holiday card.  Sweater Pattern Maker Stamp Jill Girl Stamp Fancy Christmas Sentiments Stamp Black Hybrid Ink Pad Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!!!

Early Tulip Bouquet Card

by Becky Roberts on Aug 07 2020
Hello Stampers and Happy Friday! Becky Roberts here from Inking Idaho with a pretty tulip card.  We have a very, very short window of tulip growth here in Idaho, so when I see them I really enjoy them.  I stamped the Early Tulip Bouquet stamp with the Picket Fence Black ink pad.  I colored it in with a few Copic markers and then hand cut it out.  I turned the image over and on the backside, gently rubbed with a big ball stylus giving each flower a little bubble shape to it.  Then I added a foam square to the center of each of those areas and placed it on a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" cardstock.  That way it is popped up and has a little rounded shape to each flower. I used the Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil (one of my personal favorites!) and Distress Oxide ink with the Life Changing Blender Brushes on the card panel before adhering it to a folder card.  Then I ripped it off really fast because I noticed the card was upside down...don't tell me you've never done that! *Ü* Early Tulip Bouquet Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil Life Changing Blender Brushes   Have a lovely weekend! A Bride's Bouquet

Happy Friday to you!   Becky Roberts here from Inking Idaho with a beautiful wedding card. Weddings might look a little different but the bride and groom still get celebrated.  We have three weddings this summer that we would have attended but now we will just send a beautiful card and perfectly packaged gift...the benefits of having a ton of stamping stuff! I used the beautiful stamp set called A Bride's Bouquet. It has this image and several great sentiments for that special day. I colored the bouquet with Copic markers and hand cut it out.  I stamped the same image directly on the card so the stems would be there and I didn't have to cut them out. I placed foam squares behind the image and gently placed it over the stamped card.  I used markers to continue to color those little stems. I added  Gin & Tonic Sequins - oh how I LOVE this mix of sequins!! Before I did all that I lightly stenciled the background with the Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil, which unfortunately is currently sold out and the Life Changing Blender Brushes.   Life Changing Blender Brushes.  A Bride's Bouquet Happy Friday Stampers! Summer Fireflies with Ceal Pritchett

by Ceal Pritchett on Jul 08 2020
hello everyone!  Since it's officially summer now the  fireflies or lightening bugs as I call them are out at night and I love watching them and even more so I love to watch my dog try to catch them.  To create my card I started with a pale aqua card base, and a white panel. I used  the Broken Fence Stencil and the Life Changing Blender Brushes to create the background. I stamped the Jar from the Fireflies on a Warm Night set on Brstol card stock and colored it with Daniel Smith Watercolors and cut it out with the Coordinating die.  I added fireflies to the jar and made "light" by using Daniel Smith Watercolors. To finish the card I added some bakers twine around the neck of the jar.

Hi Stamping Friends! Becky Roberts of Inking Idaho here today with a couple of coffee cards to share with you. I used the stamp set Coffee Understands and the Coffee word die.  I colored the girl with Copic markers and placed her on a hand cut tag.  I embossed the sentiment in white and then lightly sponged over it with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Ink. Coffee Understands Coffee Word Die This card has the sentiments in the stamp set embossed in white for the background.   Both cards backgrounds are stenciled with Distress Oxide ink in Speckled Egg with the Flowers Stencil and the Life Changing Blender Brushes. I stenciled first, and then embossed. Life Changing Blender Brushes Have you tried ink blending or stenciling with these brushes yet?  Please do, you will find the application so much smoother and easier! Happy Friday, friends!   Becky

Loving this May Release with Karen Reategui

Hi friends! Today I’m over Picket Fence Studios Blog sharing all cards I made for this new release. There’s a whole lot of awesomeness in this May release. I have made several cards and I’ll be showing you how I did one of them. So let’s get started. For this card, I’m featuring the Dad’s Day Stamp that I stamped onto Strathmore Bristol watercolor paper using Black Hybrid ink. Then, I added color using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Once my panel was dry, I added a piece of pattern paper and a black card base at the back using glue. Next, I placed the Quilting Market Stencil by Picket Fence Studios on top of my panel and applied white ink usually a Life Changing Blender Brush. Finally, I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from the same Dad’s Day Stamp Set onto black and added to the background plus a few white Nuvo Drops as a final touch and my card was finished. So now let’s see all the cards I made for this awesome release! For this card, I did a no-line coloring for the Nautilus Shell. Then, I created the background using LDRS inks and the Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence Studios and added Snowdrop White Paper Glaze at the back. I’m in love with this color combination for this nautical card. On this card, I’m using A Rose Stamp, which is absolutely gorgeous. The size of this rose creates a great focal point in your card. I heat embossed all the flowers and leaves using silver embossing powder and also I did a copic coloring. Here I have a shaker card and if you follow me you know how much I love shaker cards. I’m also using A Rose Stamp and you can use this stamp for a Mother’s Day card just like I did it. On these two cards I also did a no-line coloring. I kept these cards very simple and with a black and white backgrounds since I the flowers already had a lot of colors and I wanted them to be the focal point. Next, I have this card featuring the Spliced Heart Stencil. There are many possibilities for this awesome stencil. I simply love this stamp You or WIFI. I even love the name lol. It comes with fabulous sentiments too. And for this card, I did a Copic coloring and kept it very simple since my main idea on this card was to express a very relaxing scene where you can go and unplug! I have a set of two cards and one more below where I’m using Fleur di lis Stencil with a mix of Paper Glaze. And on this card, I actually mixed three different colors of Paper Glaze and created this new color. It could be Red, Carmine, Poppy... You name it! For this card, I also mixed more colors of Paper Glaze and got this awesome coffee color. This stamp set is gorgeous! To the Lovely Couple Stamp Set is perfect for Birthday cards, Weddings and other celebrations. I have heat embossed the cake using gold embossing powder and did a simple Copic coloring. And for my last card I made a shaker card. I also used To the Lovely Couple Stamp Set and white heat embossed the image. Well, these were my cards for this May Release from Picket Fence Studios and I hope I can inspire you a little bit. Remember Picket Fence Studios is having free shipping on all USA orders. Have a phenomenal day my friends! Karen
